Second visit, but now under a new name (used to be, "Zobos and Meester"). Stopped in for lunch. This experience was better than the first time around. SERVICE: This was an improvement. The gentleman running the register and taking orders was very friendly and interactive. You place your order at the counter, and they call your number to pick up; however, I raised my hand when they called me, and the young lady brought it out to my table. She even went back into the kitchen to gather additional condiments. Once again, the tabletops were clean, and they have a large dining area with tables to accommodate larger groups. FOOD: I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger Combo, which came with fries or rings, and a soda. The price was reasonable, and the burger itself was very tasty, the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, and the bun was better than last time (didn't get soggy). Fries came out hot, but not too crisp. Unfortunately, no bleu cheese dressing was available to dip my fries in. Overall, the service was good, and the food was decent, especially the burger. I'm sure I'll be trying this place again as there are plenty of other menu items that look worth a try. read more

Just as my husband started doubting that we were near the restaurant because we driving past an industrial park, we saw a huge painted zebra sculpture, indicating that we had arrived at Meester Zebra. It was Friday morning, and we were the only patrons in the restaurant. Our server was kind and friendly, and our food arrived quickly. And oh my gosh - I could see why this place gets great reviews! My breakfast sandwich and the hashbrowns that accompanied it were fantastic. My husband also really enjoyed his breakfast plate. This was a fun find. While more for the folks that work in that area, I found this place worth going out of the way for. Nice people work there. I mean, helpful, friendly, and made it feel like I was going to eat at my friend's place. This is so nice, since I like supporting my friend. Seating and so has a dinner vibe, no frills, but no boring either. Clean, open, and comfortable. And the food. I had a breakfast sandwich, hold the bacon. It was delicious. I really appreciate that it was a straight forward, fresh ingredients and fresh made, sandwich. They didn't try to make it anything other than good food. On a hot summer Wednesday, with MLB playing all morning, day & night, my buddy & I decided to stay at my home for a baseball marathon, instead of hanging out at the Aqua Caliente 360 Sports Bar. Ordering was seamless through GrubHub, with my free account via Amazon Prime. We both ordered the exact same thing = 3 Meat BBQ sandwich: brisket, pulled pork, chicken, jalapeños. coleslaw, chipotle. bbq sauce on a brioche bun. With French fries (welldone without salt please) and coleslaw. Everything was outstanding & sensational. I usually don't like spicy foods (and jalapeños) but everything paired perfectly and we were both extremely happy. The smoked meats were cooked just right. The sauces were great and brioche bun was nice and fresh. The fries & slaw were great too. We're very picky and take our BBQ very seriously -- coming from 2 dudes who used to trek out to the OG Bludso's in Compton -- before it went mainstream. This unique sando was hearty & savory. I don't eat food like this for lunch when the weather is so hot. Portions & servings are very generous. Loads of French fries too. Now we see & understand why Guy Fieri once landed at Meester Zebra for "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives." My buddy devoured his in no time and was still too full for dinner. My kids were starving and HANGRY after the Discovery Museum, and we headed here. It looks unassuming from the outside, but the guy who assisted us was so incredibly kind. Our kids were frankly rude, but the guy was so kind and gave each of our kids a quarter for the ball/balloon machines. He also offered me free coffee as it was the last of the pot (we were there at 2 pm). I haven't yet tried the food, but the menu was large and had breakfast and lunch. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much. The food was great. We had a large party and everyone ordered something different. From salads to burgers to sandwiches. Steak salad was a typical lettuce salad. The steak was great though and I could have just eaten that and left the lettuce alone. Someone had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was very large! Another one in our party had the 3 meat sandwich, as advertised on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. They said it was tasty. Everyone left full and satisfied. Found this restaurant through yelp and it did not disappoint! The owner is friendly and very knowledgeable about Palm Springs. You order at the counter and find a seat. We were on our way to Sam's Club and decided to try someplace new for breakfast. Meester Zebra came up on Yelp with 5 stars and said they have breakfast & lunch so we took a chance. We're glad we stopped. The place is in an industrial park area. Once inside, you'll notice it's very clean and we were warmly greeted by the nice guy at the register (wish I got his name, sorry). I ordered the cinnamon swirl French toast which was delicious! Crispy edges, flavorful, and not at all overly egg-washed like some places. My Hubby ordered the chilaquiles with poached eggs, which he loved. The eggs were perfectly poached and he really liked the tomatillo sauce. Portions are definitely generous and worth the price. We were asked a few times if everything was ok and if we needed anything else, so 5 stars for service! The very nice guy behind the counter let us know that they do BBQ on Saturdays, so we'll have to go back for lunch and also to try their BBQ! Doesn't look like much from the outside (like most of the best places). Plenty of parking in lot or on street. This place is the lunch spot for folks who work in the area. When we saw two Cathedral City police officers come in, we knew we had picked a winner. (First responders always know the best places to eat) We ordered the BLT, the Pesto Chicken and the Cubano. The guy behind the counter was great. Very helpful and friendly. The sandwiches came out hot and tasty. The onion rings were next level, not too much breading and super good. It's big food, we ended up taking two half sandwiches home. Looking forward to returning, they have BBQ on Saturday. read more

Yelp brought me here! I was looking for somewhere to grab lunch after spending the morning at the Children's Museum, and this was close enough. Initially I was unsure if I was headed to the right place as it's located in more of an industrial place, but it's correct! The man who helped us and took our order was so incredibly kind and patient. After ordering, he gave my daughter 50¢ to use on the toy machines. The pesto chicken sandwich was delicious! My daughter and I split it-- big nice juicy chicken filet with plenty of sauce and cheese. I didn't love the potato salad, but it was a classic recipe so others probably love it. This great little restaurant is tucked away and could easily miss it but for the zebra painted cow out front. We had a group for lunch, celebrating a birthday and had great service. Some of us had ribs which were outstanding, but get the half rack, its more than enough and as for side, mac n cheese was great and so was the cole slaw. Others had the lasagna and loved it, as did those who had the pulled pork sandwiches. Overall, a great meal, service and location, def recommend if you want some real home cooked food! read more

BREAKFAST I had the huevos rancheros (of course) and then I ordered a side of brisket. I shouldn't be surprised but I enjoyed my meal very very much and I found the quality of ingredients and the flavor to be pretty top notch. It has a bit of a dive atmosphere but they have decorated it as cute as possible... love the zebra cow out in front... it catches your eye and because of that you know you're at the right place. BBQ places are not my forte or experience typically so I won't be able to compare this brisket with any other brisket place, but I really really enjoyed the brisket side dish and found it to be very filling and not greasy and not too much gristle. read more
