Delicious Omelette... sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, and herbs YUM
    Layla M.

Loved the food & views. Had an omelette cooked to perfection with fresh herbs, sausage, mushrooms, & potatoes. I can't remember the name of it, but I already know I'll be ordering it again. OH my gosh! I almost forgot about the amazing Blueberry Pancakes! A must! We sat on the patio with gorgeous views and perfect weather. You really can't beat that. If you're ever in Rancho Mirage, this place is a hidden gem & definitely worth checking out. It's located in a small plaza with plenty of parking & beautiful mountain views. Looking forward to my next visit!

We've visited the Palms Cafe several times. This time we had Saturday brunch. The food here is good and plentiful. I enjoyed the burger and delicious onion rings. My husband liked the crab cake Benedict with home fries - but said they could have been warmer. The restaurant was very busy and noisy but the service was still great. Lots of easy parking available in the lot in front of the restaurant.

Biscuits and gravy, just kind of bland.

Service - friendly. Ambiance - festive. Kitchen - fast. Food - ok. I went for the first time and was sat super quick and was taken care of by Elizabeth. She was lovely and the perfect amount of attentive. The kitchen was on fire. I swear not two minutes after I put my order in, the food was out. Not really, but it was mega fast. My concern was the food, it was rather bland. I realize that they have to cook for all types of tastes, but there wasn't any flavor in anything. I had to add hot sauce e to it and then I got some seasoning. Unknown if I'll be back.

This is a must visit spot in Palm Springs. Every meal has been delicious, consistent and served up with warmth and hospitality! Their menu has everything to satisfy anyone's cravings. This non assuming coffee shop has a nice clean decor with neat picture booths. There's plenty of parking, so come on by and enjoy a meal

Not much new to report. We stopped in again for a late breakfast and still felt that the food was only okay (more seasoning needed) and the service was a little inefficient. I will say that the place was packed and most patrons we spoke with while waiting, love it. FOOD: We tried a simple 2 Eggs & Bacon and pancake breakfast ($15.45), as well as the Chili Cheese Omelet with biscuit & gravy ($18). My omelet was tasty, but the hash browns lacked a little salt, and the biscuits and gravy also needed something...both the sausage gravy and biscuit were "pasty" and a little bland. The eggs were supposed to be over easy, and they were well beyond (see picture). The 50's diner décor is cool and there's a nice outdoor patio, when it's not too hot out. Overall, we still thought the food was average, but it's always packed, so go figure. NOTE: The restrooms are located outside the restaurant, within an adjoining antiques mall. It's a little bit of a tricky trek to get there, especially for older customers.

Great patio and views. Great service Excellent tuna melt. Bathrooms are in the zombie mall that's attached.

    Delicious, chili, cheese, omelette!

Looks like they took out the cinnamon in the food now, so that is good. The chili cheese omelette is still the bomb, and the county Benedict was just ok. Knock off one star for the high prices, breakfast just shouldn't cost over $20 a plate at a cafe.

We came here on a lazy holiday Monday, mid-morning. While we were in a lazy mood, the staff was a hustling bunch. This restaurant is unpretentious - simple and straight-forward. They are a breakfast and lunch-time operation which makes their patio perfect for their opening hours. As we ate our brunch, I could tell this was a locals' favorite. Even though the staff was quick and efficient, they had plenty of time to be personable and friendly. We shared the Vegetable Quesadilla, see my pic. What you are seeing is mostly the tortilla: is was good and held up to the steam from the veggies. The side of salsa was very mild, a bit of lingering heat and had a moderate amount of flavor. The scoop of guac was mashed a fair amount, was reasonably fresh and was mildly flavored. What you aren't seeing are the veggies and cheese inside which the Palms has the right ratio. The cheese had a higher fat content so is smooth and creamy, while the veggies still had a bit crunch. It was a fairly decent snack for mid-morning.

Is this location pet friendly and we can bring our well behaved dog?

yes. for sure outside they are very accomodating for pets. inside I think so to, but call to confirm.

Do they still do the bottomless mimosas?

Last time I was there for breakfast, there was no bottomless mimosa. It was 2 for $5, I think.

Do they serve alcohol with brunch?

Yes champagne and they are getting a full bar.

Does this place have a wait in the morning?

    Almost never!

We stopped by here for a night to split up a road trip…read more We had been wanting to come since we wanted to see their golf course for another time and it was a really nice location. Golf course was closed but we were still able to see it. It's a big property. Lots to do. Do like they allow dogs since we had ours. They had multiple pools which we liked. We didn't use it but near one. Neither one looked too busy which was nice. Once we got settled into our room we went to go see Pinz and Pints since they had arcade games, including a duckpin bowling. My son was really excited about that. When we went they had a complimentary drink and candy bar. Drinks they offer are limited but still decent. We did get some food there as well. We got their nachos, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders for my son. Both the nachos and Mac and cheese were really good. Love nachos and wanted to keep eating them. The next morning we went for breakfast at Pinzimini. They have a buffet option and also have a standard breakfast menu to choose items from. My husband got their brioche French toast and I selected to do their buffet. I know he liked the French toast. I liked the items offered in their buffet. They had a mix of mini pastries, cooked items, fruit. I primarily stuck with their pastries and fruit. Overall it was a nice location. Golf course is big. Hopefully we can go again and experience more of the items they offer.

It would…read morehave made more sense to book a standard room and pay the $90 per night upgrade that my friends were offered. In practical terms, it felt like a very inefficient use of points. The resort fee also felt hard to justify. The included amenities did not seem to match the extra charge. The two complimentary drinks were limited to Truly canned drinks or a small pour of hard lemonade or iced tea, which felt underwhelming for a resort of this caliber. We did enjoy the range balls, but as early risers, I would have appreciated access to the spa or pool earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The bed sheets had what looked like an oil or grease stain, the closet door was broken, and the overall furnishings and finishes felt worn and dated rather than well maintained. This is very much a family resort, so that is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Even at the adults-only Paloma Pool, children were jumping into the water and splashing guests' drinks while parents appeared unconcerned. That made it difficult to relax in what was supposed to be a peaceful setting. On a positive note, the entrance walkway, lobby, and open-air courtyard are beautiful and make for a strong first impression. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the guest rooms, which are clearly in need of a refresh.

Sunday brunch is always a thing we try to maintain…read more Gives us the chance to go someplace new but I tend to return to places that made a lasting impression. This place being one of them. We arrived close to 1 in the afternoon. They open till 3 so we still had some time. Checked in with the hostess which for indoor seating it would be about 25 minutes or so for a table. They did have open tables available on the patio which that was the only option at the moment. Mind you even with the misters going on and the shade covering, I was sticking to my clothes. I do love the heat but, it was too hot and humid and kind of unbearable to enjoy a meal. Instead, went back inside to put our name down for a table inside. Luckily, there was an open one available which we were offered. Made a huge difference with the patio. It was the table by the door so whenever the door opened, you still felt the hot air. Anyways, beats eating outside. Norma was our waitress which she was amazing and very sweet. Friendly which is alway a plus anywhere you go. Menu, they have a good selection for breakfast as well as specialty plates for lunch. Sandwiches, salads and other amazing items. As it was Sunday brunch, I do love a good breakfast. We started off with some mimosas. They offer both the bottle or by the glass. Both selections you would need to add orange juice which is an additional fee. Last time we went with the bottle and a carafe of orange juice. Still decent for 25.00 and additional fee for the juice. But this time we opted for the glass which comes out to 10.00 and it comes with two refills. Additional 2.00 for the orange juice. So basically 3 glass for 10.00 which you can't beat. Food, the hangover omelette. I enjoyed it last time that it was ordered again. 3 egg omelette with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, bell pepper, serrano peppers and topped with green onions, sour cream and cheddar cheese. That's come with your choice of toast and a side which their tots are alway good. Also a side order of pancakes, 1 piece. Then the steak caprese omelette. That was a first time trying it and it was great. 3 egg with cubes new your steak, fresh spinach, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, melted mozzarella and their house made pesto. Also comes with your choice of bread and a side. Went with the fruit which was blueberries, a couple of grapes and pineapple chunks. Not the prettiest selection but it'll do. Both omelette was tasty and plentiful. Their food was good and we enjoyed everything. Omelette was flavorful which is a plus. Also can't go wrong with the tater tots. Their other items looked amazing from all the dishes being brought out. Definitely need to try it next time. Plus you can't beat the mimosas deal for 10.00. Service was great and Norma took very good care of us. The place isn't that big. It's probably the same amount of seating inside and outside. Inside also has bar seating that looks into the kitchen. But with the heatwave that's going on. Kind of expected for the summer but outside seating could be a little uncomfortable even with the mister spraying. Inside could be a little wait but I would recommend it as it'll be more comfortable with your meal. Until next time.

Our overall experience was lacking in almost every way. We were seated outside, and this was bad. The only available table was on the side by the street, and we were in full blast range for the wind and the sound of their outdoor AC. I can't put it to words how this impacted our overall meal, and the immediate regret we felt. Their indoor seating was also not going to be possible for us because of just how loud it was. Our server took our food and drink order right away, but she never checked in on us after the drop off. I ordered the Irish iced coffee, looking forward to getting a nice treat drink. I ended up getting just a regular iced coffee, and unfortunately I had no chance to try and flag anyone down to get this sorted out since we were never checked on once the items were delivered. This includes the waters we ordered for the table as well. The only good thing about this was that I was only charged for an iced coffee. The eggs Benedict were simply "ok" and rather unremarkable. They arrived just above room temperature and while they weren't bad, they weren't great either. The sandwich was fine, but the home fries were over seasoned by far and had way too much salt. Overall, this was a disappointing brunch. Unless they really look into the quality of the food, the lack of table service, and their terrible side dining area by their outdoor AC, I can say we have no plans on returning.

Great brunch spot! We were visiting from out of town and were looking for somewhere to grab brunch…read more I checked Yelp and found Wilma & Frieda's and liked the reviews I read. The location was easy to find, ample parking too. The restaurant itself is kind of small (it's kind of more like a coffeehouse with a decent-sized table-service area), but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on our second visit. (Yep, we liked it enough that we went twice during our trip!) The servers and staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. And there were a good variety of savory and sweet brunch items to choose from. They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. Across my 2 visits, I had the short-rib scramble (yum) and the Meany (basically eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit--yum), and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which she said was great. I highly recommend Wilma & Frieda's and will definitely go back on future Palm Springs trips.
