Taking off one star because we went back recently and the service was sub-par. Our server was very slow in general, brought out the wrong soft drinks, and never refilled any of the water glasses or brought a carafe of water for the table.

SOOOOOO GOOD!!! The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the avocado tacos and it was so satisfying delicious. I also ordered a margarita and my tummy is smiling and happy. Love the decor and the staff is so nice and friendly. They really care if you are enjoying the food.

First visit and had a good experience. We arrived towards the end of the evening, but they were still busy. Rodney found us a seat and provided excellent service throughout our visit. They have an extensive menu, including a large selection of vegan options. Small covered patio in front and lots of indoor seating, including a bar. Plenty of parking in the shopping center's lot. We started with a couple drinks: Upside Down Brown Ale ($8), Georgia Peach Tea ($13), and a Lemon Drop ($13), and a few appetizers: the Mexican Street Corn ($10) and the Ahi Stack ($16.95). Both apps were delicious. For our entrees, we tried the Tres Pork Belly Tacos ($16.95) and the Fish & Chips ($18.95). Again, everything was delicious. Overall, a cool place for a good meal or just hanging out with friends. We'll be back.

We came here because my son wanted pizza and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is cool and relaxed yet you could totally come here for any event. Food was GREAT! Especially the hot wings! Everything had great flavor. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. He made the experience even better. I'd recommend 10/10

Came here for a quick bite and drinks on NYE. It was raining and a little cold, but we decided to sit on the patio since the inside was packed and they moved the heater right next to our table which made it comfortable. I had the Mexican lager, which was delicious, they were out of the hazy IPA my friends wanted to try, but the server suggested another drink which they said it was really good too. We had the supreme 10 inch perfectly cooked, crispy crust and very delicious. Service was exceptional. Our server was great. Accommodating and checked on us frequently. Great spot I'll definitely be back to try again!

We came by for happy hour and the variety in the happy hour menu did not disappoint. We came super hungry and ordered right away a bunch of food. The food took a bit to come out, but when the food was ready, they all came out at once. All the food that we ordered were delicious and fresh. The pulled pork on the sandwich was a bit salty. It seemed there were only 2 servers working and it wasn't the easiest to track them down, but it wasn't a problem. I'd be back again for happy hour!

Great pizza, very friendly atmosphere, I wish I wasn't on my diet. I will recommend this wonderful restaurant

Stopped in here today for lunch for the first time. It's a pleasant restaurant with a patio seating as well as a nicely decorated inside with a huge bar. The staff was friendly and professional. My bacon cheeseburger was delicious as was the french fries. It was cooked to my liking and I enjoyed the experience here very much and would recommend you stopping in.

I walked into Barrel District with no expectations. Fortunately, the place was packed so that was a good sign. I ordered a margarita pizza to go. A few minutes later, a go cup with a margarita was placed in front of me. After clarifying that I wanted a margarita pizza, I clutched the go cup because that was a mistake that I would gladly enjoy. Although what they call a margarita pizza doesn't look like a margarita, I was willing to dive in anyway. It's a weird looking pie that had a 90s drizzle of balsamic vinegar. I'm a pizza snob but I'll say that, whatever this ingredient combination really should be called, it's good; this in spite of a weak and somewhat stiff pre-made pizza dough. I returned for two more days because they do a very good Baja style fish taco. I topped it off with Moscow Mules and a sticky toffee cake and ice cream combo. I was surprised that the menu has a solid selection of vegan items, too. Although having no expectations, I walked away impressed and delighted.

Ask the Community - Barrel District

Do you have a separate room for large groups (20 persons)?

Hello Suzy, we do handle large parties on a regular basis and often multiple parties of 20 or more, but do not have a private room. We can arrange for a section to be assigned if needed.

    Are you dog friendly?

    Absolutely

    Do they take reservations?

They prefer reservations for large parties, but aren't necessary for the usual 2-top.

What are the happy hour times?

    3 to 6:30 every day

Is your pizza crust made from scratch in house or is it a pre made product?

It has to be made in-house. I eat there frequently, and the crust is crisp-crunchy thin, yet chewable...the best of both worlds. The menu items I've eaten there are high quality, so I am assuming in-house for everything.

Do you have a full bar or just beer and wine?

    Full bar

If I bring my 84 year old vegetarian grandma here, would it be appropriate?

Yes of course. Currently outside patio dining with an awesome vegetarian/ vegan menu!

All delicious but dang the potato salad was creamy and EXTRA good! So many delicious looking vegan snacks, menu options, and goodies from trinkets to cookbooks. We placed a large order in advanced online, ample of time for them to make. Upon arrival, our food was nowhere to be found. Apparently it was grabbed by someone else by mistake or on purpose. My question is, why does this establishment place their online and phone orders by the doorway? The orders are placed on a shelf by the door and food that have been sitting there can be taken by anyone. Supposedly, we were told that it wasn't the first time it's happened. That is has been happening lately that people have been grabbing food either by mistake or taking them. Why now are they doing anything about it? Why didn't they fix that issue when it happened the first time? This is the first time I've ever seen any food spot place togo orders by the door that way. I'm not sure if it's laziness or that's more efficient and quicker for them to get rid of the order. That's a huge problem right there. Anyone can take food by mistake or just plain steal them. This place is small. The staff should have delivery personnel come up to the register and ask for the orders. It's not that hard. All orders should be behind the counter. Apparently a delivery guy came in there and grabbed an order then proceeded to take our bag as well. It's a logistics issue that shouldn't even be a concern. They did fix the problem but we had to wait for them to remake everything all over again so we had to wait again. We the customers had to ask them to accommodate us and have them solve their problems. The staff are young people. They were nice about it but I suggest better service and be more attentive and quick. It was an $80+ order and the food was alright. Expensive and was mediocre. Need more flavor on most and the position could be better. Overall, they did fix the issue, but this place needs to do better.

The owner took our order and was incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. He described all of the dishes and you can tell he genuinely loves his resturant and what he's doing there. At one point he mentioned that he's proud of the portions because he thinks a lot of vegan resturants tend to skimp a little. He was absolutely right to be proud. I had the French Dip and it was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had. The stek was sliced thin and really tasty, the cheze in the sandwich was perfectly gooey (which is rare for plant based cheze), and the aujus was the real star. I've honestly had nothing like it before. It was also a really hearty portion and super filling. My wife had the Jambi sandwich -- a hash brown wafflle with fried chikun, sunflower swiss, seitan bakon between two pieces of french toast -- plus chili fries on the side. The sandwich itself was impressively big and definitely lived up to the owner's point about portions. We've both been vegan for about 10 years and always appreciate finding places doing creative food like this. We live about an hour and a half away, but we're already figuring out when we can make the trek back for another visit.
