I was craving pizza the last few days and finally acted on it. Of course I could have had any place but was craving Bills. The last visit was great so I had an idea on what to expect again. Compared to last time which was pretty packed, this visit wasn't as crowded. During the meal, people did trickle in. We got seated right away as there were a couple of open tables available. Grace (Gracella) who was our waitress took good care of us. Very sweet and friendly but also so warming and welcoming. She did check on us every now and then to make sure that we were good and if we needed anything. They do have beer and wine so we started off with a nice cold one. Food wise, down to the nitty gritty. Pizzas and salads, simple as that. There's about 4 salads on the menu. The house, Caesar, antipasto and the feta cranberry and almonds salad. I feel like anyplace that we go for pizza, an antipasto salad is always a must. Of course that was had. Pizza wise, there's basically two option in sizes. The personal or the large. You can also purchase pizzas by the slices. This meal, we went with a half and half. Two different pizzas but split between the large. Two flavors in one. We went with Bill's favorite with his sauce (pesto and red) and the hammer and sickle. Bill's favorite, bills sauce, pepperoni, salami, Sicilian sausage, roasted onions with diced tomatoes and mozzarella. And the hammer and sickle with also had bills sauce, pepperoni, sweet sausage, fresh jalapeño, red onions, fresh cilantro, four cheese blend and mozzarella. Both were great but we didn't noticed that they were the same sauce till the pizza came out. The two were similar in a way but different. Both very flavorful and quite delicious. Large is quite hefty and big which is great for sharing. Between the two of us, there were a couple of slices leftovers. The food is always tasty. Service was nice, Grace was a doll and took very good care of us. There's both indoor and patio seating. Restroom is a little trek as you have to get a code, then walk outside and around the side. After the code, you walk down the hallway until you reach it. A little walk but if you need it, you gotta do it. Prices are affordable and the food is filling. read more

The restaurant was packed with a mix of locals and tourists, yet the atmosphere remained pleasant and relaxed. Despite the crowd, the space maintained an inviting neighborhood feel that matched its reputation. The highlight of our visit was our server, Glo. She managed a full section with grace, keeping a genuine smile and positive attitude throughout the evening, even while clearly very busy. Her attentive and friendly service elevated the experience and stood out as the most memorable aspect of our meal. We ordered a large pie, half Italian and half with cheese and pepperoni. The pizza was solid and competently executed, with a well‑cooked crust, though it did not quite live up to the very high expectations set by numerous enthusiastic recommendations. I would rate both the pizza and the Caesar salad at about 7/10: good, enjoyable, but not exceptional. One practical drawback is the restroom situation, as the bathrooms are not located within the restaurant itself. This made things slightly inconvenient and may be worth noting for future guests, though it is ultimately a minor issue in the broader context of the visit. Would we return? Possibly. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the food or service--in fact, the service was a strong positive--but in a destination like Palm Springs, with an extensive list of dining options, the competition is fierce. I've been to Bill's Pizza a few times now, and honestly every visit kind of blends together which I don't think is a great sign when it comes to food. I can never remember the flavors because nothing really stands out, and this last time especially just didn't do it for us. The pizza didn't feel very fresh and had that "sitting too long" vibe that immediately makes you lose interest after a couple bites. I also ordered a Caesar salad thinking it would at least balance things out, but between the portions and the taste, I somehow left still hungry, which is never what you want after paying restaurant prices. That being said, the staff was genuinely nice and welcoming, which always makes a place more enjoyable, and it's actually a fun spot to sit and people watch if you're killing time or meeting up casually. I can totally see it being a convenient neighborhood pizza stop for some, but for us, the food just didn't match the experience enough to make us want to come back. A nice little Antipasto salad which always hits the spot and is the perfect pregame dish for the pepperoni/pineapple pizza we are about to devour... This place knows just how to make us all happy! Like I said, the night we went the place was completely poppin', but our server was cool, calm and collective and handled his tables like a Boss! Just dined here for dinner. We arrived to a bunch of stares as we walked into the restaurant. Wasn't sure what to do next since it was our first time at the restaurant. Husband decided to just sit down at an open table. Looking aroind dining area is large for multiple diners and empty tables had menus already on the tables. There were a handful of diners already eating or waiting for their orders. After sitting for a couple of minutes, a waiter came by to take our order. We ordered the small Cesar salad, a large pepperoni pizza and my husband wanted to try the meat lovers. He got an individual sized pizza. After 10 minutes or so, the large pepperoni pizza came out large and hot. It was a bit salty for my taste buds. My daughter ate 2 slices and loved it. We ate half of the large and my husband at 2/3 of his meat lovers. Waiter came by a few times to check on us and refilled drinks. Overall, food was good and staff was attentive. Bills came highly rated while visiting Palm Springs so I had to give it a shot. We ordered one small cheese pizza and one large bbq chicken totaling $52. I thought the price was steep but was steady committed. I appreciated how generous they were with the toppings. There was so much chicken and veggies on top. I'm rounding my 4.5 star review up to a 5.... Because my God the pizza was even better today as cold leftovers in the car. I reached out to a Facebook group of people from Palm Springs and got recommendations from the locals and almost everybody said to come to Bill's for pizza. I'll be honest, this is not a place that I would've chosen myself. Maybe because of the name? I'm not sure, but it just was not on my radar. Once I started reading about it, I got excited though, I love a place that makes pizza with a sourdough crust. Plus, everyone talked about how good the ranch dressing is, and I am obsessed with ranch dressing, myself being from the south. We went for a half-and-half specialty pizza combo. My fiancé picked the Charlie Sheen and I chose The Delilah for my half. Both were absolutely delicious and the flavor of the crust is spot on. The sausage on the Charlie Sheen was a little bit sweet so if that's something you're not into just be aware of that. I loved the Delilah, vegetarian and a little bit more delicate with that garlic olive oil sauce. My only critique is that the pizza could've possibly been cooked just a little bit longer. I say this because when I picked it up, the piece of pizza did not hold the toppings on. The crust sagged immediately, and all the toppings slid off. No big deal, I ate it with a fork and knife, and loved every bite of it. But when I ate it as cold leftovers today, it tasted even better than last night and there was none of that saggy crust with sliding toppings. The interior was bustling and cheerful. Server was fast and friendly. Always made sure I had a full soda and checked on us many times. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for pizza in Palm Springs. read more

I used to be a fan of this Italian spot, especially their pizza and salads. it had a fantastic reputation for real Italian flavors. After about 5 or 10 minutes, they brought them to my table, but it was just... off. Bad taste, way too greasy, and the flavor just didn't hit the same way it used to. We had spent the day sightseeing, and wanted something easy and delicious. Reviews seemed to think that this was the place for us, so we decided to give it a try. Despite it being a Saturday evening, we were quickly seated. There are dozens of varieties of pizzas that you can get, but we went with the tried and true traditional pepperoni. This was my first visit to Bill's pizza as I have friends that live in the area I was visiting for a birthday and wanted to grab a bite to eat before we met at a Cantina down the street. I walked into a less than half full restaurant and a completely empty outdoor patio. I could see behind a large piece of 4 x 8 plexiglass kind of hanging from the ceiling that there was pizza for sale for the slice so I walked over to see what they had going on. I realize there was a lot going on behind the counter because there was a young man changing a beer keg and there was seemingly two or three cashiers sharing many different chores. I also saw at least two servers walking around helping people at the tables. One of the ladies behind the plexiglass abruptly asked me if I wanted a slice of pizza. I looked down and I said yeah, I will have a slice of the "baconator". Then I was directed to go stand in line over by the cashier. When it was my turn at the front of the line. The cashier charged me just I have six dollars for my slice of pizza. I believe I rounded up to $10 and also ask for a glass of water. Siri reminded me that my order was to go not for dine in and she quickly served me a clear plastic cup with a lid full of ice and water. Thank you by the way, so I stepped back to wait for my food as there was a lot of people starting to pile up behind me and line that had placed orders. I sat down a little table right in the takeout area right next to the door and started looking at the menu. I saw some of the people behind the counter looking over at me and then a tall slender good looking waitress, walked by and kind of gave me a dirty look. I noticed that there were some handwritten signs taped around on the plexiglass and around on the wall of the restaurant informing the customers that the tables were not for takeout. They were only for dine in full service. So I stood up and tried to stay out of the way, but there wasn't really an area to stand. Approximately five minutes later, my pizza came out and the lady at the cash register wrapped foil over it, and I walked out of the restaurant. I wasn't sure when I walked in if I wanted to dine in or leave, but I guess the way I ordered was for takeout only. No big deal. I enjoyed the pizza outside of the restaurant on a city supplied cement bench. The slice of pizza was very good. It was greasy, but why wouldn't I expect a pizza slice covered in bacon and sausage and onion and stuff to be greasy. So I just wanted to say thank you to the staff and let everybody know. Make sure you know if you want to do dine in or takeout. Because later on that evening I was at a local Cantina where I got into a conversation with some regulars. And they asked how the pizza slice was. And I said yeah the pizza was great. But the situation of takeout or where you can stand or sit or wait for your pizza and all the handwritten signs all over the place about dine in is dine in and takeout is takeout was a little bit intimidating. And at least three local Palm Springs people that were sitting there agreed that they've had the exact same issue with that pizza spot. And one of the Palm Springs regulars that I chatted with told me that if you're a regular customer there, they will actually text you on your phone number exactly when your slice of pizza is ready so you can wait in the car or stand outside and not have to be there to hear them call your name or number. Recommended my friends, we had an absolutely excellent meal. Cherry, our young lady server could not have been more pleasant and was very patient with us. We make a great Caesar dressing at home, and this dressing was at least as good. I've eaten Caesar salad everywhere, and I think this is the best I've ever had. We got ambitious and ordered the 35-in pizza for the two of us. Each eight one piece and split a third and boxed the rest. We had a great time at Bill's for a group dinner in Palm Springs. It's a busy place but the staff was friendly and quick. The names and flavor combinations in the pizzas are very unique! There's so many toppings that the pizza flops a little bit but I'm for it. The ranch here is delicious too. Next time, I would try to diversify the pizzas I get because after a bit, they are started melding together.
