Was at an event near by and staying at a hotel near by and this was a local spot that popped up in the line up. Massive parking lot with tons of parking, we checked out menus at 5 or 6 near by spots and saw a worker from near eating from here. Simple straight forward mom and pop type shop. Typically, a place a would not get pastrami, asked the waiter and he said it was his favorite. Ok, now Im gonna have to try it. Mixed it up and did it Rueben style with house chips. Seriously one of the BEST pastrami sandwiches I have had. My wife had some and thought the same and my mom tried it and she was amazed. This lil spot knows how to make pastrami. and the House chips were pretty over the top too. 122 mile drive for us but might have to venture back for a great pastrami sandwich. Moms salad was also good, massive and we share it and still didnt finish it. Young lady came in and remembered this crew from way back too and that was cool to see. Lots of TVs, good amount of seating and great service. If your out for an event or lucky enough to be a local this spot is worth checking out and if you love pastrami its a MUST. read more

The food here is fantastic. We had "The Work" medium size pizza, French fries and garlic cheese bread. The pizza had a wonderful crispy crust topped with a large amount of meats vegetables and cheese. Cooked thoroughly to perfection, not undercooked like works pizza can be but just right.the fries were hit, crispy and soft inside. Great flavor even without ketchup or ranch which we also had. The service was chill, laid back and very friendly. I felt like I was being served by good welcoming friends. One downside was the server who took our order, forgot to put it in the computer which caused a 45 minute delay. Taking it in stride he immediately offered to comp the whole meal and drinks, taking the blame upon himself. Stand up guy! I offered to at least pay for the drinks and he wouldn't let me. We checked into the Hampton Inn across the street. We were hungry but didn't want fancy or fast food. We found this place right across the street with great reviews, but u still never know. Well, let me tell u that they're legit. We all ordered something different - a reuben subbing pastrami with turkey, a Philly cheesesteak, and a club. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread. We all chose a different side for our meals to try things out. for our 3 meals were fries, cole slaw, and potato salad. Everything was delicious: flavorful, tasted sooo fresh, and the service was awesome. My sister is a nickel snob and even loved the side she ordered. Can't recommend it enough. Not a local but decided to check this place out since it was across the street from my hotel with decent reviews and ratings. This place is located in a large strip mall with ample parking. I got the Dardie's Veggie pizza for take out last night. Although I was grateful for the veggie overload, it kinda felt like I was biting into a piece of bread with a mountain of salad on top. I truly wish the pizza had more cheese. I'm not sure if all their pizzas are made this way but it definitely didn't have enough cheese. My boyfriend and I spent his birthday week in Palm Springs and he saw this place and wanted to go. We both love pizza so it was a win win situation. We got there and it was busy and a cool vibe. There was baseball playing on the tv so we took a seat at a table. All the people working there were very nice and got us our drinks quickly. He ordered a Coke and I ordered a Dr. Pepper. We decided to share the meat madness pizza because they were quite large. It took a while for the pizza to come out but they were cooked to order which is always a good thing. Stopped by Billy Q's on a Wednesday evening while staying at the nearby JW Marriott. We wanted to step out for a second and found Billy Q's on Yelp. It's a small pizza joint in a shopping center. Pete was our server and was nice and friendly. He mostly talked to my boyfriend about baseball as the establishment is adorned with sports memorabilia. We ordered a small pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and sausage on sourdough crust. Yum! Yum! The atmosphere was relaxed, and I loved that there were TVs everywhere. We got to watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Dodgers while we ate. Overall, great service and great pizza. Would definitely come back! read more

Super unique pizza. They had a variety on the menu that all looked interesting and try worthy. I ended up getting a split pizza with the Scooters and Cubano for my split. The dough was definitely good, but the toppings are what made it great. Decent service, ended up sitting outside and the staff was very nice but the table was a bit dirty (also was outdoors, so I wiped it down). When will Yelp have a 10 star rating? My son at CSU San Bernardino in Palm Desert has often mentioned enjoying the food at Billy Q's which faces the campus a bit north on Cook Street. He brought two pizzas to us last night and they were some of the best this New Englander ever has had in all my 75 years, truly. A vegetarian and a hawaiian only lasted a few minutes with the three of us swooning between bites. I understand this sweet little place has an authentic feel as though I were still standing at a table eating New York pizza near City Hall in Manhattan so now I am figuring out how to get there when we can relax and have space to savor more food. First off, the food was great. My boyfriend and I ordered sandwiches (Malibu Chicken sandwich and a Tuna Melt) and they were delicious and filling. Fries were tasty and the plain-tasting potato salad balanced out the flavorful tuna melt. Delicious comfort food. Service, however, could have been much better and more efficient. The guy serving us was gone for a long time after he quickly dropped off our drinks. He seemed to be really busy with the tables upfront (we were in the back) and it got to the point where I had to flag him down a few times to get him to come back and take our food order. He wasn't quick about it either and never apologized for making us wait so long. Meanwhile, a group who was sat after us and next to us got prompt, superb service from another server and that upset me greatly that my boyfriend and I were not given the same quality of service. I was livid, but still remained cordial. The group who got there after us got their food order in and their food well before us, and so they also left before us all happy and satisfied while we barely started eating our food. Their server? She was fantastic and ended up closing our check. We should have just had her the whole time, right?! Why didn't our original server just give us to her if he was too busy or overwhelmed? She was so friendly and accommodating to that party while we felt forgotten and not really welcomed. Our original server never came back to us, never checked on us, after he took our food order. The other server, she was so kind and thorough to offer me a to-go cup at the end, but I politely declined because I was just done and wanted to leave. Also, flies. Flies in the restaurant. I work at a popular resort, I'm never going to recommend this place to any of my guests. Called the place around 5pm and the woman on the phone sounded like she was annoyed and didn't want to be there. Whatever, I'll let it slide for now. Came in and everyone was in a rush to leave saying they were closing early (I get it, it's the superbowl but their website should have said something about it, not a mere paper on their door only). Came home with 3 pizzas and the "Build your own" was so stale, and so thin. Nothing like the pictures promoted where it's fluffy and thick. That did it, and it was our first (and last) time coming here. I'll be sure to recommend my resort guests to other better places, even Upper Crust is better. That's saying something. read more

As non residents on a Friday evening we had to keep our Friday night pizza routine alive even while in vacation. After doing an extensive YELP search we chose BILLY Q's for take out and was not steered wrong. We chose a vegetarian pie that was chock full of well prepared fresh veggies including even artichoke hearts. Love them. Took the option of a sour dough crust and that was thin crisp and delicious. Order that early as I was told that was the last of the sourdoughs for the night and it was only 6pm. Place was packed and our pie was out of the oven just as I arrived to pick it up. Great pizza for the kiddos and yummy sandwiches for mom and dad. Got the chicken Caesar salad sandwich, it was fantastic.
