Pano shot of Bellatrix dining room with bar in the back of pic. Great Wall of Wine!

After almost 10 years of living here in Palm Springs area, we found Bellatrix for dinner!! Food is superb, service is outstanding!! The dining room has a relaxed mood. However we were seated next to 2 large parties who shared their conversations with the entire dining room. Looked in the bar on our way out. Our server told us that when busy, the bar gets louder than the dining room. Ran into the restaurant's manager and he invited us to come back for their Italian night next month and said they offer special wine lunches and dinners! Bellatrix is a great shelter from the wind on the north side of I-10!!! And last night it was blowing hard! Four thumbs up!!

Nice restaurant facing a beautiful golf course. Service was quick and easy. Food was excellent. Great spot to grab food before teeing off.

OMG it was so good. Beautiful restaurant with views of the golf course and mountains. We had the prime rib, three corse meal. But I forgot to take a picture of the food. Oh well, You've seen prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans before. And a cappuccino and tiramisu for dessert. It was delicious, I'll be back.

This was our first visit to Bellatrix, and it definitely won't be our last. We attended a special "Tequila Dinner" which featured a special paired menu with various tequila cocktails. SERVICE: Excellent! The entire staff were on their game, from the hostesses to the servers, busboys, and management. Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate guests' questions and desires. FOOD & DRINK: The "Tequila Dinner" featured a special paired menu with various tequila cocktails for $100/person, all inclusive (tax and gratuity). We had: * 1st course was a California Chile Rubbed Grilled Octopus with fingerling potatoes, paired with an Oregano and Sea Foam Margarita. The octopus was grilled perfectly, and the sauce was amazing. The margarita was very interesting and quite refreshing. * 2nd course was a Roasted Duck Breast with Mango Salsa, served over black squid ink rice, paired with a Jalapeño Grilled Mango Sipper. The slice of duck breast was one of the best we've ever had: perfectly prepared and went so well with the mango salsa. I love duck, but am not a fan of Duck a l'Orange. However, this mango salsa was absolutely wonderful, especially with the jalapeño mango tequila cocktail. * 3rd course was a palate cleanser: A Prickly Pear Granita, which was quite refreshing and could have almost stood on its own as a lite, semi-sweet dessert. * 4th course was a Pan-Seared Rabbit Quarter with cherry tomato compote and lima bean puree, paired with an Extra Añejo Old Fashioned. I do enjoy rabbit, and this was prepared well. They paired it with an Old Fashioned using extra añejo tequila instead of bourbon. It was a crowd pleaser. * Dessert was a Tres Agaves Añejo Cinnamon-Caramel Frappé, which was like liquid heaven. A lite milk shake consistency with just a touch of tequila...really nice. After dinner, Chef Luis came out and introduce himself and discussed the evening's menu and his background, especially his love for seafood and game meats and how he liked to focus his specials on these cuisines. They also announced that they would be continuing their Wednesday Wine Lunches, probably in the fall. We'll definitely be looking into those. The restaurant is located at The Classic Club Golf Course and offers a large bar area and plenty of indoor and terrace dining areas. It's a beautiful facility, looking like a grand Tuscan Villa, and has both valet and self-parking. Hours are limited, but definitely worth checking out.: Lunch: Every Day, 11am - 3pm Wine Bar Menu: Thursday - Saturday 3pm - 8pm Wine Bar Drink Specials: Thursday - Saturday 3pm - 5pm Dinner: Thursday - Saturday, 5pm to 8pm

Went here before the first show at Acrisure arena. Food was outstanding. The service was awesome except the part where one of the younger guys helping run food brought another tables food to our table. We knew it wasn't ours so it didn't really cause any problems other than a laugh by us and the table next to us. Server was awesome. There were 8 of us (4 couples) and she split up our checks without even asking. Made it super easy to pay and head to the show. Will be back again for sure. Try the short rib! It was epic.

One of the best things going for Bellatrix is the outdoor seating and beautiful view of the golf course and lake. I know I spotted a great blue Herron in the mix of mallards, and there is other fauna roaming around. I've tried a few things in the past, but what wowed me the most was the side of fruit. Fresh, crisp cold, strawberries, pineapple, melons, and the largest blueberries I've ever seen! I was literally shocked when I saw how beautiful they looked; the taste matched the look! The chef is picking out some nice produce! I'm not a fan of the montecristo sandwich. I'd expect more meat. I ordered it "all turkey" so maybe they didn't give me anything extra to offset the missing ham. The bread was squishy and flavorful, especially with some strawberry jam. The service is every bit five stars! You can be confident you will be well cared for at Bellatrix.

We discovered…read moreOceana Restaurant on the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week website -- the Pulpo Chicharrones caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did. Our group started out with the above mentioned Pulpo Chicharrones. Crispy Octopus bites served with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and flour tortilla chips. The octopus had a charred crispy exterior that gave way to a buttery-tender interior. None of the rubbery texture that so often turns people off. For entrees, we selected the Whole Fried Huachinango (Red Snapper), 7 Oceanas (think "Spanish Chioppino"), and Pan Seared Halibut which was the special of the day. The halibut special featured a very generous pan seared filet on a bed of white wine risotto with a sesame seed veloute and asparagus. The 7 Oceanas consisted of perfectly cooked octopus, white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, and scallop in a rich broth with tomato, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and guajillo peppers. Served with housemade telera bread sticks to sop up the amazing broth. The snapper was deep fried to perfection leaving the skin super crispy and fleah moist and flaky. Drizzled with an adobo sauce and served with grilled sliced lemons, chayote squash and baby potatoes. Our only complaint was the snapper was not true red snapper as advertised, but rather porgy (we think). Red snapper is one of the most substituted fish and very few people in the world could tell them apart. My partner Ernie is a connoisseur, and he can. The dish was still excellent, we just wish it wasn't advertised as Huachinango. This hidden gem delivered fresh seafood, tasty cocktails with a nod to tequila and mezcal drinks crafted by owner Marco Castellanos, and friendly attentive service from Gina.

Two of us ordered off the "Early Bird Special's", which are served daily from 3 PM to 5:30 PM. We both ordered the 3 piece fish & chips. They were very good. Three large pieces of fish and potato wedges, everything fresh, also instead of coleslaw we were able substitute for a $1 more a small Cesar side salad. The dressing was good, very tasty. My daughter ordered off the regular menu, she got the Hawaiian Combo. This has salmon, mahi-mahi and grilled shrimp, teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple, with sweet potato fries and a Cesar's salad, as her sides. She said everything was very good, except the shrimp was a little overcooked. We also ordered a side of cheese garlic bread, which was fresh and tasty, did not disappoint! At first we thought that we would have to check in with the hostess for a seat at the bar but found out that we didn't as someone else just walked right up. It was the start of happy hour which was the reason for the visit. Just wanted a drink and maybe a light bite. There was 2 seats that were available at the bar which was perfect timing as when we got seated, a few other people walked in but ended up just ordering drinks while waiting for a seat to open up. Happy hours from 3-5 which I feel like loads of people come for it. They offer a couple dollars off of starters, wine and beer. For small bites, 5.00 sliders and 6.00 fish tacos. Limited but a little discount on the starters. We had a glass of wine which was 4.00 off with the HH. Of course with that, something to munch on was needed. Clearly they're known for the coconut shrimp starters which we were informed by the bartender. And from the looks of it, pretty much everyone sitting there had an order. Which was a given for us to get. It came with five shrimp, decent size with a nice glaze sauce and adorned with coleslaw which was quite tasty. Definitely worth it. And the sliders, one each. Wow, I'm not much of a burger person but they were tasty. Cooked perfectly, the meat was juicy and served pretty simple with grilled onions, sauce, a slice of cheese and a slice of pickle on top of the bun. Simple yet very tasty and flavorful. The service was great at the bar. Gentlemen taking care of use was sweet and quite friendly. Seemed like it's a local and regular hangout as he seemed to know everyone sitting there. The wine was tasty and the bites were great. Coconut shrimp was a hit as well as the sliders which I do recommend. Even on a Monday right at 3, the bar area was pretty packed already.
