Absolutely fantastic Easter brunch at Bellatrix Restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh and so good--honestly one of the best brunches I've ever been to. The selection was unreal... there was so much to choose from I couldn't even get to everything. Prime rib, lamb, scallops, eggs Benedict, an omelette bar, pasta station, incredible desserts--everything was done perfectly. On top of that, the view is gorgeous and the service was just as impressive--attentive, friendly, and seamless. Could not have been better. Already looking forward to the next one!!! After almost 10 years of living here in Palm Springs area, we found Bellatrix for dinner!! Food is superb,service is outstanding!! The dining room has a relaxed mood. However we were seated next to 2 large parties who shared their conversations with the entire dining room. Looked in the bar on our way out. Our server told us that when busy, the bar gets louder than the dining room. Ran into the restaurant's manager and he invited us to come back for their Italian night next month and said they offer special wine lunches and dinners! Bellatrix is a great shelter from the wind on the north side of I-10!!! And last night it was blowing hard! Four thumbs up!! read more

We were there with friends last night who made reservations. When we arrived at 6:30, the hostess was not at all warm and friendly. The restaurant was pretty empty, maybe 3 or 4 tables at most. The bar was completely empty. She couldn't find the reservation and was about to go find a manager, I assume to get permission to seat us. Before she did, our friend presented the reservation confirmation on his phone. She almost seemed annoyed and then seated us in the bar, rather than in the restaurant with dressed tables, i.e., table cloths and place settings. The bar had bare table tops, no table cloths, or place settings. What's the deal with that? We did nothing behaviorally that would warrant being rejected from the restaurant. Our server was wonderful. But we were quite disappointed in the $8 split charge. We are senior citizens and have much smaller appetites than our younger years. We almost always share an entree and maybe a salad. Anymore is too much food. We've never been asked to pay a split charge. That is a ridiculous charge and fails to recognize the needs of those who can't eat a full entree. It was unclear whether the split was the kitchen splitting the food or just sending a second plate. There is no way that it costs $8 for your kitchen to put half the food on each plate. If getting a second plate would incur no charge, we are happy to split the food ourselves, but the menu wasn't clear. Finally, we were greatly disappointed by the veal parmesan. Probably among the worst we've ever had. Our friends got the beef stroganoff and the prime rib and enjoyed both. read more

I used to love this restaurant. A small group of ladies went for lunch on a regular basis. We recently went yesterday. To say it was a disappointment would be a major understatement. Here are some specific things: Food quality has gone down. I ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich - very dry and tough. Service was good with Julian as our waiter. The most disappointing factor was that at the table next door, two elderly men brought their dogs into the main interior dining room. These dogs did not get along, so they barked and got in the way of the service people. UNACCEPTABLE!! I have two dogs and love them dearly, just like my kids, but I would not take them into a fancy restaurant and let them behave badly. Please do not let dogs including emotional support dogs inside the restaurant!! Outside is a different thing but only legit SERVICE DOGS should be allowed inside. Thanks for listening. read more

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The service is impeccable. The view of the grounds and the mountains is stunning and the food is delicious. They have a prime rib night during the week and other nightly specials. Wine prices are really reasonable. The bar area is usually quite busy with golfers after they finish their round, but the restaurant is very serene and usually there is little to no wait even with no reservation. This was our first visit to Bellatrix, and it definitely won't be our last. We attended a special "Tequila Dinner" which featured a special paired menu with various tequila cocktails. SERVICE: Excellent! The entire staff were on their game, from the hostesses to the servers, busboys, and management. Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate guests' questions and desires. FOOD & DRINK: The "Tequila Dinner" featured a special paired menu with various tequila cocktails for $100/person, all inclusive (tax and gratuity). We had: * 1st course was a California Chile Rubbed Grilled Octopus with fingerling potatoes, paired with an Oregano and Sea Foam Margarita. The octopus was grilled perfectly, and the sauce was amazing. The margarita was very interesting and quite refreshing. * 2nd course was a Roasted Duck Breast with Mango Salsa, served over black squid ink rice, paired with a Jalapeño Grilled Mango Sipper. The slice of duck breast was one of the best we've ever had: perfectly prepared and went so well with the mango salsa. I love duck, but am not a fan of Duck a l'Orange. However, this mango salsa was absolutely wonderful, especially with the jalapeño mango tequila cocktail. * 3rd course was a palate cleanser: A Prickly Pear Granita, which was quite refreshing and could have almost stood on its own as a lite, semi-sweet dessert. * 4th course was a Pan-Seared Rabbit Quarter with cherry tomato compote and lima bean puree, paired with an Extra Añejo Old Fashioned. I do enjoy rabbit, and this was prepared well. They paired it with an Old Fashioned using extra añejo tequila instead of bourbon. It was a crowd pleaser. * Dessert was a Tres Agaves Añejo Cinnamon-Caramel Frappé, which was like liquid heaven. A lite milk shake consistency with just a touch of tequila...really nice. After dinner, Chef Luis came out and introduce himself and discussed the evening's menu and his background, especially his love for seafood and game meats and how he liked to focus his specials on these cuisines. They also announced that they would be continuing their Wednesday Wine Lunches, probably in the fall. We'll definitely be looking into those. The restaurant is located at The Classic Club Golf Course and offers a large bar area and plenty of indoor and terrace dining areas. It's a beautiful facility, looking like a grand Tuscan Villa, and has both valet and self-parking. We stopped in with another couple for dinner last night. Everything went without a hitch, except for that "Charcuterie Board" that came out on a dinner plate that was half filled. The cheeses were good but the meats were less than desirable and they charged $24. Unless they up their game with presentation or quality, that menu item needs to be 86'D. A definite ripoff. I had the extreme pleasure to enjoy lunch last Sunday on the amazing balcony overlooking the golf course, waterfalls, and mountains. The food and wine were excellent...I enjoyed veal parmigiana, and my family loved the salmon, salmon salad and red snapper. We had a Chardonnay and Cabernet which were both delicious. What made this meal a special occasion was the service. No detail was spared and all of our expectations were met by Scotty. He explained the special and many of the dishes we asked about on the menu. Not only is the food crazy good, but the prices are reasonable for high quality food and beautiful dish presentation. Went here before the first show at Acrisure arena. Food was outstanding. The service was awesome except the part where one of the younger guys helping run food brought another tables food to our table. We knew it wasn't ours so it didn't really cause any problems other than a laugh by us and the table next to us. Server was awesome. There were 8 of us (4 couples) and she split up our checks without even asking. Made it super easy to pay and head to the show. Will be back again for sure. Try the short rib! It was epic. read more

One of the best things going for Bellatrix is the outdoor seating and beautiful view of the golf course and lake. I know I spotted a great blue Herron in the mix of mallards, and there is other fauna roaming around. I've tried a few things in the past, but what wowed me the most was the side of fruit. Fresh, crisp cold, strawberries, pineapple, melons, and the largest blueberries I've ever seen! I was literally shocked when I saw how beautiful they looked; the taste matched the look! The chef is picking out some nice produce! I'm not a fan of the montecristo sandwich. I'd expect more meat. I ordered it "all turkey" so maybe they didn't give me anything extra to offset the missing ham. The bread was squishy and flavorful, especially with some strawberry jam. The service is every bit five stars! You can be confident you will be well cared for at Bellatrix. read more

What a fantastic restaurant located on a beautiful golf course. We were blown away by how nice the interior of the restaurant was, very elegant. White tablecloths which I did not expect from a golf course based restaurant. They have a great outdoor patio overlooking the area. Beautiful.! The food was great, I had the chicken sandwich which was probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had at a golf course restaurant. The lady went with the seafood Louie salad which had shrimp and lobster with a nice Russian dressing. We ordered a French Chardonnay with our lunch which was only $10 a glass. What a bargain. We really enjoyed dining on the patio overlooking the golf course. At dinner time the patio was in the shade, but it was a lovely day and not too chilly. We were a group of three couples and came for an early "dunch" with a 2:45OM reservation. The table we were initially seated at didn't have a good view, so we asked to be moved to where a wall & tree didn't interfere with the view. After some initial hesitancy - because they had those tabled reserve for dinner - we assured them we would be gone by 5PM, so they quickly and pleasantly set up two tables and moved us to a better location. After starting out with some wine, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with garlic fries, the Seafood Louis salad, the seafood pasta and the short rib sandwich with fries. Most impressive was the Seafood Louie, loaded with huge prawns and pieces of crab meat on a bed of romaine and tomatoes served with thousand island dressing. My husband totally enjoyed his Buffalo chicken sandwich and I loved the short rib sandwich which was loaded with tender, flavorful meat. The fries were crispy and seasoned with garlic (which could have used some more garlic, in my opinion). The least impressive meal from an appearance standpoint was the seafood pasta, ordered by a friend. It was way too heavy on pasta and lacked seafood in larger bites. Instead of large shrimp, they used tiny bay shrimp and little bits of crab, plus some peas tossed in a sauce. She took home half of her dinner, but it was just pasta. In short, I would say this is a nice place foe a group with an beautiful atmosphere, good food & service at moderate prices - at least from the bar menu we ordered from. It appears the dinner menu prices are much higher, so I would say grab a sandwich or burger on the patio. read more

Went here for dinner last night before a concert at the adjacent Acrisure Arena. The food was great. Service was outstanding and ambiance is beautiful! My husband and I had the jumbo cocktail shrimp for appetizers along with the best Old Fashion I have had! We split the Bellatrix House Salad which had the most delicious vinergarette dressing. For our entrees we had the 7 ounce filet mignon which was cooked to our liking, medium. It came with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus. We both had good Pinot Noir glasses of wine with our dinner and finished off with their lava cake and coffee! One of the best dinners we have had! We have gone here several times for their awesome lunch but this was our first time for dinner!! We will definitely be back! read more

I held a celebration of life in the Phoenix room. It was a private room with an Amazing view of mountains, waterfalls, and the golf course. There were 30 if us. I was originally going to have it elsewhere but that venue turned out to be a disaster so I had to VERY quickly find another place. And I was not local! I called Elena who handled the events at Classic Club. She instantly worked on putting this together. She was so easy to communicate with. I kept changing things on her and asking her to give me millions of options. She just stayed calm and so KIND when I was so stressed. She QUICKLY got me everything I asked for and went above and beyond with making the tables BEAUTIFUL, making sure my guests were happy, I could go on and on. Too many things to list. Thank you Elena. I do not want to leave out how amazing the food was, thank you Chef JoseTorres. It was FAR from your rubber chicken large party meal. Each plate was 5 star, each bite was like ordering at a fine dining restaurant. We had salad, manicotti, bread, and carrot cake. One of the little kids didn't like manicotti. Elena saw he wasn't eating so without even asking brought him chicken nuggets which he ate. The quote Elena gave me never changed. No surprise charges. While the food was very good, we were extremely disappointed that the management allowed a group in the dining room to bring their 2 dogs in with them. One dog was large and one was small. This was a lively bar for golfers and the public. Hard to get into for happy hour but they did the best to accommodate. Prime rib night was excellent. Now the new ownership/ management has converted it to a "WINE DESTINATION" and they close at 6:00. There's not a lot of golfers (especially men) that go for a glass of wine after golf. Give us beer and all the usual hard alcohol drinks. I'd bet the bar will fold during 2024. read more

We were disappointed that they no longer have a Happy Hour or HH menu. It used to be one of the best in the Desert with the beautiful view and terrific outdoor seating. We all ordered food and cocktails. I had the octopus appetizer that was good but not great. I also had French fries with aioli sauce that was satisfying. Others at our table also liked their food but weren't knocked out by it. The best part of the day was when the manager kept checking on us and told stories about growing up nearby and riding their horses all the way into Palm Springs. You could tell he loved the area and relished his childhood. Thank you for the story!! Please bring back your marvelous Happy Hour that so many of us enjoyed!! It started off a bit strangely with the hostess's confused ambivalent greeting. It almost seem like she didn't know what to do with us. I suggested we sit in the bar for happy hour then move to the restaurant for our reservation. She agreed and all flowed much better from there. The Chilean sea bass was delicious. The filet was tender and the right temperature. The only point of disappointment was the charcuterie was too plain. Without interesting "pops" like dates, it looks like one from home. Bottom line: We loved our experience and said that we need to come here more often. read more

Beautiful and breathtaking! Bellatrix is a restaurant inside the gorgeous golf club located in the desert. Extremely clean and wonderful decor inside. The golf club has a few different banquet rooms for work gatherings, weddings etc. there are water fountains and pretty views throughout the golf resort. And the food at Bellatrix Restaurant was amazing! Even for a room full of people (about 100 of us) they managed to have everyone's food ready at the same time and it was warm and tasty. They also had a vegan option! Yayyyy. That was much appreciated. It came with a grain and veggies. And dessert was fresh fruit. The non vegans had the choice of chicken or beef and that was served with mashed potatoes, and cheesecake for dessert. The vegans and non vegans were all very happy with their food. The open bar was nice as well. Overall it was lovely and Bellatrix Restaurant did an amazing job hosting our companies Christmas party. The food was great and service was perfect. read more

I really enjoyed my 19th hole at Bellatrix after a fun 18 holes at the Classic Club. I ordered 3 small plates - beet salad, 3x tuna and wonton tacos, 3x short rib tacos, plus a half baked macadamia cookie for dessert. All were very tasty and a great deal. I have been to Bellatrix twice since it opened this season. Food has definitely improved, although the menu is still limited. Service is great. However, my only complaint was the bartender and his "friend" or an off duty employee (I'm not sure) were too loud talking at the bar. It was super loud it was very bothersome. They probably forgot people are still eating at the tables. read more
