After a really warm morning at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens good deli sandwich. My son found Deli Chick on Yelp, so we headed over. It's tucked in a nondescript office park with plenty of parking. They were busy when we arrived, so we had a short wait, which told me it's a popular spot. I ordered the California sandwich: turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and sprouts on sourdough, with added cheddar, mustard, and jalapenos ($14.95 plus $1.50 for the cheddar). It was fantastic. My son ordered the same with a few tweaks and loved his as well. My wife went for a hot sandwich, and by the time we got back to our lodging it had melted through the bread and was a little messy. She was lukewarm about it, so I had to tease her: "To-go hot sandwiches turn into a hot mess, poor decision." She appreciated my annoying comment and happily snagged a bite of my delicious sandwich, lol. Great sandwiches, friendly vibe, and definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Highly recommend. 5 stars P.S. my photo of my sandwich just doesn't do it justice. I
No frills lunch spot with quick, fresh sandwiches. It looked like they were getting good business and there were a few people eating inside with a small line. Didn't wait long at all and the service was friendly. I ordered the California and added cheddar & bacon. I would like to try a couple other options too! They should be on Ubereats or Doordash for those who can't get away from work at lunchtime.
Was visiting Palm Springs & was looking for a quick breakfast. My lox bagel was pretty delicious. Bagel was soft, flavorful and lox was fishy (how I like it). Would have gotten a second one if I could . Got a latte but I'd skip next time and get a second sandwich. Ordered a cheese n bacon bagel for my partner who said it was also pretty good. Nice customer service over the phone and in store, will definitely return on my next PS or Coachella trip, thank you!
Went on a solo date, I had been trying to try this place for a while and I was out early enough from work. Food was fantastic and portions are large enough to take home & have left overs later. There was a sweet señora that provided the best service ever.
Second visit on Thursday during the lunch rush hour. The staff welcomed my friend and I and we placed our order and grabbed a table. I ordered the Hot Chicken Club sandwich with that home made potato salad . This is the second sandwich I've tried off their menu, I want to try them all eventually, because I'm sure they will all be as delicious as these two that I've previously tried . The staff handled their business and pushed out those incoming orders like a G, great job everyone that worked that day. This is now one of my go to sandwich places to come to and have lunch with friends.
Yum! Tamara is a sandwich master. She runs an awesome shop that serves fresh ingredients and breads, flavorful sandwich combinations and really well-crafted sandwiches and salads, all served up with a friendly smile! There are tables for dining in and you can also take out and order in advance. Love the sprouts on the veggie sandwich. A great touch!
Absolutely love Deli Chick in Palm Desert! The service was fantastic, friendly and attentive. I didn't expect to have our food brought to us, be checked on, and have our plates cleared, which was such a nice touch. Thank you! Some of our favorites included: * Mamma Mia: ham, salami, capicola, provolone, onions & pepperoncinis, balanced and bursting with flavor. * The Desert Club: a triple-stack of turkey, bacon & avocado. * El Pastrami: a hot sandwich with melted jack, pickles & jalapeños. They offer fresh salads and hearty sandwiches (both hot and cold) packed with quality meats, cheeses, veggies, and full of flavor, perfect for a satisfying, well-balanced meal. Each one was fresh, delicious, and made to order, and the sandwiches come with a side of your choice. The tasty classic sides like potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, chips, cookies, and soups, which perfectly round out any meal. It's hard to pick! The dining area is spotless, cool, and comfortable, ideal for escaping the heat. And the sandwiches? Absolutely incredible! Definitely a new favorite spot. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.
I ordered the veggie, and it was your standard veggie sandwich. I like how it was loaded with veggies and sliced in half to share. They also give you an option to pick a side. I chose the side pasta salad which was pretty average. The customer service was friendly and nice. I was greeted immediately and welcomed. I didn't get a chance to take pictures inside, but the location is very quiet and laidback. It's definitely a hidden spot to try if you're in the area. Would definitely comeback and bring a friend. Thank you :)
This is a no-frills, hidden-gem, tucked into the middle of a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. It's actually in a great location, and more importantly, it delivers where it counts. It's not chasing trends or a foodie destination, but this is a classic case of -- don't judge a book by its cover. If you're looking for white tablecloths, dainty plating, or a place to sip mimosas with your pinky up, this isn't it. If you want a 45-minute wait and an Instagram selfie backdrop, keep moving. But if you want a solid, satisfying meal that won't wreck your wallet, this place absolutely deserves your attention. It's a two-person operation and everything is made to order. That means if they're busy, you'll need a little patience, but that also means everything is coming out hot and fresh. The decor won't be featured online or in any magazines, but the place is clean, the food is good, and the prices are right. What we had was all simple, filling, and well executed: PB Toast - whole wheat toast with peanut butter, fresh seasonal fruit, and a drizzle of honey. WINNER! Grilled Sourdough - eggs, bacon, ham, melted cheese, and chipotle aioli on sourdough. Yummy and inexpensive. Bagel with cream cheese and lox (2). Solid. If you care more about value and satisfaction than vibes, this is your spot. This experience was a refreshing change especially compared (breakfast v breakfast) to a recent meal we had that cost more than twice as much which was at an overpriced, underwhelming, big-name franchise. If you're looking for something that feels honest: where the focus is on good food, good portions, and real value rather than hype, then you'll appreciate what they're doing here.
Absolutely delicious. The girls there are so friendly and work fast! Great stop before hitting the desert zoo. My mom and i both the California sandwhich i added mustard and jalapeños.
This place was great, and we will definitely be back again. We came for lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't very busy and we got our sandwiches right away. The staff were very nice and friendly. I got a California with cheese on squaw bread. I love squaw bread, but find sometimes it can be hit or miss. Not here, though, the bread was so moist and delicious. It might be the best squaw bread I've ever had! Can't wait for next time!
Oh wow!!! WILL BE COMING BACK!!! Friend and I stopped by for a quick bite and were left very satisfied! Staff was great, food was great and price was great! Can't wait to try more menu items!!! :)

We DoorDashed sandwiches from Deli Chick. I got the California which was good, but didn't have anything to make it a stand out. The ingredients were fresh and overall it was a good basic sandwich. The side of potato salad that comes as an option for an included side was very small- maybe 5 bites. It was good for a quick sandwich, but didn't make us want to order there again. read more

Since I tend to go to the same places all the time when I come to Palm Desert, I wanted to try something different this time around. Found It's A Deli after doing some research. Can't go wrong with sandwiches! Although the options on the regular menu were certainly enticing, I couldn't pass on a Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. Really good, had fresh ingredients and was the right amount of food for what I was looking for (i.e., not getting too full). Yelp check-in also netted me a free blueberry muffin, which was quite tasty. Staff here are really friendly, no complaints from me! Only thing that I have to note is that it took a while for the food to be ready, but I guess that's what happens when everyone is made-to-order. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! read more

Hi Alexander, thank you so much for the review! We're so glad you…
My husband and I stopped at Deli Chick today for an early lunch. The place is tucked away in a quiet strip mall, so it may be easy to miss. Once inside, the place was clean, and the friendly employees were hustling the whole time. My husband ordered the El Pastrami sandwich and I had the Deli Chick Tuna. He asked for the potato salad for a side and I went with the pasta salad side. My husband really liked his sandwich, but his only complaint was that it was kind of small. He ate it all anyway. My tuna sandwich was SO good! I don't think I've ever taken home a leftover tuna sandwich, but I did today. The sandwich was loaded with tasty fresh tuna, avocado and bacon. I had asked for a pasta salad as my side, but they first brought out a potato salad by mistake. When the employee quickly realized this she brought out a pasta salad, but told me to keep the potato salad as well. Lucky for me this meant I got to try both! The pasta salad was good, but the potato salad was the perfect potato salad. Simple, creamy and not loaded with mayo. Both my husband and I agreed it was one of the best potato salads we've had. We left Deli Chick completely satisfied, and look forward to returning next time we are in town! read more

Right from the start when you enter you are greeted with a cheerful welcome! Really cool cozy/hip charm, lots of seating. We were offered great selections and recommendations! We went with the Chicken Club, so good with the chipotle aioli, INSTANT FAVORITE! Food was so good we had to order another, we went with the Mama Mia. Another INSTANT FAVORITE! Super fresh, light, great flavors! Our kids also loved this place. The grill cheese and chocolate chip cookies were a hit! Happy we stumbled upon on a Saturday Morning! Our new favorite spot with the kids! Thank You for the Great Hospitality and Great Food! read more

I am so very grateful to the Deli Chick for their exceptional catering they provided for my dad's funeral service. They showed so much care in every detail that went into catering for us. I loved how seamless everything was from what we wanted on the sandwiches, to how we wanted them cut, to how many we would need to feed for 100 people. The Deli Chick was absolutely incredible as the sandwiches were fresh and brought to the service on time. Everyone was raving about how good and delicious they were. I never write reviews, but I had to write one since I'm so incredibly grateful how above and beyond the Deli chick went. I would absolutely be calling them again. read more

Hi Roberto,…
Sandwich competition is fierce in CV but Deli Chick is a serious contender! Not sure how this gem escaped my attention. Possibly the tucked-among-a -small-business-park-sort-of-hidden-location? The location is actually a plus as it's super easy to get in and out of, not crowded, tons of door front parking, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and even a pretty view of the Santa Rosas. The cheerful greetings from the staff made a great first impression. (I was recently at another sandwich shop down the road and felt the need to apologize for walking through their door). Among the friendly staff at Deli Chick was Tamara, the owner who made me feel like she opened the place just for me! Of course that wasn't the case as the returning customers were also greeted with the same warmness and appreciation. Also on staff were Ivan and Adam who were equaling welcoming and obviously enjoying their work. There were so many great sandwich options and Tamara was patiently walking me through them. I settled on the Hot Pastrami but opted for a glow up adding green chiles and having it on marbled rye. So delicious!!! The perfect ratio of meat, bread and veggies. Well done Chef! I chose pasta salad for my side which was a fun surprise. It came packed full of crunchy little colorful veggies and tender pasta (not undercooked which I don't get why some places can't cook a simple pasta). The sandwich was definitely large enough to share or to save half for later. But because of how yummy it was I left nothing. When I recover from stuffing myself I'll be back to try another one of their delicious sandwich creations. read more
