    Hawaiian Portuguese Sausage Scramble
    Joni R.

We arrived a little after 10 on New Year's Day and were seated right away. Since they have Pepsi products, I had water to drink. My dining companions had OJ. We got: Hawaiian Portuguese Sausage Scramble -- basic scramble Very Berry French Toast -- first time having French toast on a croissant. It had good overall flavor and we liked the mixed berry compote. Todd's Eggs Benedict Breakfast -- this was ok. The hollandaise was a little runny and mustardy, and the country potatoes could have been cooked more. It's fun to watch the kitchen in the middle, and they had oldies music playing. Food is pretty standard. Not bad but nothing special.

Cute diner. Went for brunch on a Sunday, and it was pretty busy. But the service was fast, efficient and friendly. Huevos Rancheros were good. It didn't have ranchero sauce though. Instead it was served with fresh salsa on top. Tasty dish but misnamed. The corned beef was good as well. The real reason I went was because I was craving biscuits and gravy. That was good too. Nothing fantastic but the biscuit was light and fresh. Gravy could've used more seasoning and would've been better if it had some sausage in it. But it tasted just fine. I'd go back and try an omelette next time.

We were visiting Palm Desert and JTs Diner was not far from our hotel. We came in on a weekday afternoon and can highly recommend this restaurant. Stepping inside is like walking into a 1950s Diner, and we loved the music playing - authentic songs from the 50s and 60s. My wife and I were eager to share something - after reviewing the menu our friendly server took our orders: The Wedge (salad) and JT's Smokin Sliders. After a few minutes the food arrived and it looked good (see photo). The Wedge salad was nicely chopped up (a lot of times you get a true wedge of Iceberg Lettuce you have to cut up) with plenty of "goodies"; bacon, tomatoes, hard boiled egg and avocado pieces with blue cheese dressing. Delicious! And JT's Smokin Sliders consisted of 3 small sliders (beef burgers) with smoked mozzarella cheese, topped with crispy onion strips - served with a side of French fries. The burgers were as tasty as the salad. This was our last day in Palm Desert otherwise we would have come back for another meal (they had a good looking breakfast menu as well).

Delicious food and outstanding services. Like an old school Diner playing 50s music. I had the cheese and mushroom Scramble with sourdough bread and fruit. Thoroughly enjoyed it..

This is my second visit to JTs. Somehow I forgot to review them last time. If you like traditional diners, this is the place for you. Friendly staff, welcoming layout and a great menu. I had Hot Pastrami on Sourdough with fries and added a side salad. The salad was most impressive and had unexpected goodies like mushrooms. This diner actually makes it's own sausage for some of the offerings. Give them a try.

This place is great, their food is some of the best in the valley. Service is always prompt, and the servers are always friendly and offer great laughs. Definitely coming back and trying more menu items.

    Country Breakfast

Good food. Great service. Diner ambience. This place came recommended by a server at a Marriott location we were staying at when asked for a good breakfast spot in the area. He was right! It was good! We had the Country Breakfast and some pancakes. While the breakfast was delicious, your typical two egg, meat and potatoes plate, the pancakes fell short of amazing. We felt they should have been cooked a bit longer as they were a bit doughy. Also the potatoes could have been a bit more well done with some crisp, which is why I knocked a star off. To me, country potatoes should be a bit crispy, well done. The one item that stood out was the chicken jalapeno sausage. OMG! These sausage patties were delicious, filled with spice and seasoning. Very tasty! This item really made the dish to be honest. I will say they did deliver on the over medium egg, which most places miss. Overall a great experience. Our server Alexandra was so kind and friendly. Everyone working there was. We appreciate that kind of hospitality nowadays, as it is rare and few in today's world. For that reason, we will definitely be back the next time we are in town. Seating is plenty. Prices reasonable. Portions good. Service excellent!!! Parking is plenty. Bon appétit!

At one of the recommendations from my server, I ordered the Reuben sandwich. It was excellent... with tender, non-gristled corn beef. Pleasant service.

Big menu with great fresh food, no wait and speedy service. Gluten Free options for people with Gluten allergies.

Corned beef hash, eggs, hash browns (toast on the side on in pic).

There were a lot of breakfast options, from specialty pancakes and waffles to unique omelets and Mexicandishes like Chilaquiles. I got the Biancasada omelet, which has carne asada, peppers, onions and cheese. It is served with your choice of side (I got potato wedges) and bread (I subbed the grilled peach specialty pancake). The omelet was ok...the carne asada wasn't great and the other ingredients could have been cooked more. The wedges were good, but I didn't like the grilled peach pancake as much as I thought I would and wished I would have got the lemon blueberry. Portions were big, and I took half to go. Hubby got the chorizo con papas omelet with hash browns cooked extra crispy and a buttermilk pancake. The omelet was really good, and the hash browns were cooked well. The pancake was a pancake. They only have Pepsi products, so I went with water, which they refilled well. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and they had Hawaiian music playing. I'd come back to try lunch. The sandwiches and burgers coming out looked good.

The rooms are slightly dated. Not disastrous. Not horror story energy. Just giving we have seen a few seasons. You can tell the property wants a little refresh in some spots. Very White Lotus if White Lotus had a more budget-conscious cousin. The pool was clean though, and that goes a long way. Especially when you are at a family-friendly place and one bad pool moment can ruin the whole trip. The bowling alley and games for kids were honestly a strong save. That part gives the property some real personality. It is the kind of setup that keeps children entertained and keeps adults from having to hear "what are we doing now" every eleven minutes. The staff was amazing. Warm. Helpful. On it. That was probably the best part of the stay. They gave the whole experience more polish than the building sometimes had on its own. Good staff can carry a property far, and they definitely did some heavy lifting here. The gym is really small, and it could use an update bad. A few newer machines and a little more space would make a huge difference. Right now it feels like an afterthought. Like they remembered fitness at the very end and said okay put two something somewhere and let God handle the rest. The bar and food were decent. Perfectly fine. Nobody at the table was offended. Nobody was composing love letters either. It was the kind of meal you eat, nod at, and then fully forget by the next afternoon. Not bad. Not brag-worthy. Just there. Overall, this is a great stay with some fun family-friendly perks, a clean pool, and great staff holding it all together. It is not luxury-luxury. It was absurd they did not offer us another room at checkout time. -pool was dirty. Some trash on the ground and zero people working around the pool -in general there was bags of trash all over the hallways of the rooms. Almost every time in the hallways were clear bags of trash. -there was a martini glass on one of the tables outsides that I noticed was there for the night and the entire day and night the next day too -around the hot tub was a waterfall that wasn't on with trash at the bottom and a big metal wire looking thing sticking out -barely anyone working, it felt like the place was extremely short staffed -no towels at the side pool for hours, I followed up multiple times and asked the front desk. Saw there were no towels at the night swim too -food took an hour at the casual outdoor restaurant. Our waitress said it was her first night, but was on her own (no one helping her). By the time our food came and it was finished she had just left. We had to really track someone down to pay and leave -shampoo was empty entire time It's on a beautiful property and seems like when they first opened it was probably great. But it's been completely let go and needs a lot more attention and upkeep. On the plus side, a lot of the people working were really nice. They kept trying to make up for all of the issues and we kept getting free drink tickets, free credits, etc. I really would have preferred nothing free and a better experience. There were so many issues there was a running joke with our party of how bizarre the stay was that when something happened (like the waitress disappearing or no towels the entire day) we would just say that we weren't surprised. And I almost forgot - there was an old pizza crust sticking out underneath the cabinet area.
