The menu selection is massive with so many flavors of pancakes to choose from. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the flavor was unique. We're locals and always come here. Matcha monster pancakes are our favorite. Service is just okay. Today, my mom asked for a lemon slice for her water and they told her it's 25 cents. Came here around 10:30AM on a Sunday and was able to get street parking right in front of the restaurant. I would advise anyone trying to dine here early in the morning to check their yelp because their live waitlist does open up! When we arrived, we had to only wait a couple minutes to be seated. My friend and I ordered the pancake flights, Eggs Benedict and an omelette. The pancake flights were not on the menu so we asked and they said that they typically only do it certain times so make sure you ask if you're looking to order them! We ordered the Thai Tea, Matcha and the berries one! They were pretty good as you were able to taste the different flavors and I would really recommend trying these rather than buying a whole plate of them! The Eggs Benedict were typical and nothing special but I did love their potatoes! My friend enjoyed their omelette as well as their potatoes. The service was good! There were a lot of people dining inside already and since my party and I haven't really done a lot of dining since the pandemic started, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and set up of the patio tables. Tables weren't so close to one another which is awesome. Even though 2 servers got our drink orders wrong at the beginning (these guys are busy in the morning!) it was quickly corrected. Bea Bea's never fails. This is a must-go spot for any of my friends visiting LA. My boyfriend and I have been here for years and they haven't failed us once. My boyfriend and I LOVE the corned beef hash benedicts. Their french toast is divine. And their pancakes are perfectly fluffy, though they fill you up fast. First thing I'll say is that I think it's really awesome that they offer both gluten free or vegan pancakes in so many flavors. Not many restaurants have such a huge selection for those with dietary restrictions so I have to commend them for that! With that being said, everything else was extremely average if not just disappointing. They offer gluten free OR vegan pancakes, so you can't get both which was unfortunate as one of our family members had a gluten and dairy intolerance. The GF pancakes were actually great, definitely up to par with some of the best gluten free pancakes I've had around here. They were the best thing we got by far! We got the Pooh's sunrise with gf pancakes, the bacon was good, eggs were fine, but portion was a bit small for the price ~$24. Also got the Kin's sunrise with the vegan pancakes and scrambled eggs. The vegan pancakes weren't as good, they kind of fell apart as I ate them, super weird texture. The sausage and eggs that came with it were cold. ~$25, overpriced imo. We also got the thai tea pancakes which were HUGE. The stack was about $18, a little pricey but the serving was really big so it was probably the most fair priced thing that we got. Came with a TON of cream and butter that was overwhelming and didn't have that much flavor, just kind of tasted like sweet butter. They were good but only tasted a little bit of thai tea. They fell apart similar to the vegan pancakes which was weird since it was the classic recipe. We got a side of corn beef hash that wasn't great and lacked flavor. We also got a side of home fried potatoes that were room temperature when we got them and were kind of soggy. Server was nice when he was actually at our table but the service was painfully slow and we were waiting for about 15 mins to get our order taken while a group of employees were huddled around the bar/counter socializing. This was my first time visiting ever and it was such a welcoming and delightful place. The food was cooked perfectly and great flavor . The staff was very attentive and always checked up on you . BEST waffles I've ever had!!! Even Leslie Knope would have to admit that this place might surpass JJ's in exceptional wafflery! My husband and I have been wanting to try this place forever, but (even though we live 5 mins away) we always forget until it's the weekend and we drive by to find a long wait. We finally had the opportunity to go this morning, were seated at an outdoor table instantly and received great service! We both ordered the "Still In My PJs" waffles and a side of bacon to share. The order sizes were huge, but we brought our appetite and the food was so good we finished every bite, including every drop of our delicious coffee and latte. There was a police takedown of a runner who came into the outdoor seating area (the Glendale police were extremely gentle and kind to him from what we observed) and the staff didn't skip a beat to check on every patron and keep on top of refills, etc. We can't wait to go back! read more

Check in early through yelp to lower your wait time. But if not, they have a relatively fast turnover time. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it took about 10 minutes to get seated with a couple families before me. After ordering, it took 8 minutes for the food to get to my group. The menu: vast amount of dishes, all were creative and sounded delicious. I ended up sharing the green tea monster pancakes and the veggie veggie scramble. Together it was the perfect balance btwn sweet and savory. The GREEN TEA PANCAKES are a must, and definitely worth the couple years wait!!! So I have searched and tried Loco Mocos at every opportunity. None have compared to the one I had here. Even the the places advertising authentic Hawaiian cuisine do not do the Loco Moco the justice it is served with at this location in Glendale. I also tried the crab Benedict. It is crab-packed. Cicis in the Valley was my go to for matcha pancakes but now that we moved to this area, Bea Beas is our new go to. Wait is much, much shorter. Tables aren't as close together and you feel more comfortable in the space. I think an added plus for us was that they actively checked vaccination cards. We have younger kids so this definitely gives us a peace of mind so that we can feel more assured that our kids are safe as we dine. Pancake flight (not listed on menu) is the way to go if you're indecisive like me and always debate between pancakes. My favs are the green tea monster, thai tea and sunrise (the ones with fresh fruit). Hubby also really likes the loco moco. The amount of rice they give is insaaaane! This place is so close to home we had to try it. We've been to the original location and it's ok but thought we'd try some different items and see. The place just opened but has been in the works for over a year. If you didn't know there was another location you'd think someone who knows nothing about restaurants opened this place because they had nothing else to do. The patio seems awkward. It's not really gated off so you're sitting in the open in front of people who are waiting to be seated. Decor is minimal also. Staff seemed overwhelmed and the drink runners were a bit slow and just seemed like they didn't want to be there. Kitchen runners were swearing and everything seemed unorganized. Food was just OK. Plenty of more affordable options in Glendale. They try and do things that were populate in2012 and it's just not that good. Steak and eggs with some creoles for about 20. Bacon and eggs and crepes for about 15. Had a breakfast quesadilla for about 13. The crepes they make are large and have nothing in them. Just some cut fruit and Nutella or whip cream on top and the crepes were thick so they were undercooked. I was looking for a good breakfast spot and my boyfriend suggested we eat at Bea Bea's since he's such a fan. I was quickly pleased with the service the restaurant had and the food was the cherry on top. My boyfriend suggested for me to get the matcha pancakes but I'm not a huge fan of matcha until I tried the pancakes and was super impressed. They don't have too much of a matcha taste which I love and they're not too sweet. I personally kept it safe with a Belgian waffle since I already know I love them and the waffles was so delicious! We went there today to check it out after they opened this new one in Glendale branched out from Burbank location. We got to sit outside at the corner with the breeze, not hot at all. It was not crowded like on the weekend. Our server was Ski, he was awesome, attentive, detail and cordial. My husband got Steak and Egg, I got omelette the way I want it. Both were very good surprisingly. The coffee was strong as we liked, no cheating with diluted water. We'll definitely come back again and to be honest they deserve 5 stars for services the beginning to the end, from waiting time (10 mins), orders served, coffee refilled, checking on us and bill pay. read more

The food is as good as other breakfast places but a little more expensive. I hadn't been there in more than 2 years when a friend suggested going for breakfast. I think I had forgotten why I stopped going there and it was almost immediate that I remembered. My friend is gluten free. Which is why she chose the place as it says gluten free pancakes. However, they don't offer sugar free syrup. Which for me was a problem but ok I just didn't use it. For her she had a choice of 2 sides, 1st group of side options was gluten free (fruit, homefries and something else), the 2nd group of side options only had toast options that had gluten (no sourdough or gluten free). We asked if she could have 2 sides from group 1. We were told no. I was a little upset as there was no effort at all to make it right, like we'll give you a little more homefries, or a side of fruit or anything, just no. I even spoke with the manager and the same indifference to the fact that they have no options for gluten free in 2nd group. I was not happy and remembered why I hadn't been there in over 2 years. It's a family owned restaurant, not corporate, where a little effort to accommodate should not be a problem, but it is. The waitress came over later and offered a corn tortilla as a substitute. That's not toast with butter, nor did my friend order anything she could roll up in the tortilla. I don't like places that are not a little accomodating. A gesture of extra homefries or a small bowl of fruit or cottage cheese(not sure they have that) , would have gone a long way. Needless to say, I prefer to spend my money at family owned places like this, but places that try to accommodate customer needs. Especially with prices these days. It's not like the place is cheap. There are other family owned breakfast places that cost the same (or less) that are accommodating to their customers. I have a love/hate relationship with the huge amount of items available on the menu for brunch. It was great to have a large selection to choose from but it took so long to decide! We decided to share the savory loco moco and the sweet Thai tea pancakes in the end. As we watched the food come out to other tables, we were surprised to see how big the portions are so we're glad we chose items to share. They added green bell peppers to the loco moco which I thought was genius and unique. Honestly, I couldn't taste the Thai tea flavor so much in the pancakes. We got here during brunch time on a Sunday and it was rather hard to find parking. They don't have a designated parking lot or area so we had to park in the busy nearby neighborhood and walk over. Omg, sis was right -IT WAS SOOOOOO DELICIOUSLY DIVINE! The waffle was fluffy, but light almost like it was filled with air. I loved the flavor combinations, and added a little maple syrup for just an extra taste. But, really didn't need it. The French Toast- The French toast was very lovely. Also, topped with bananas and berries, it's a great option for breakfast. The bread is like a fluffy brioche type almost. But, don't quote me on it. Hahaha. (Not egg-y). This place isn't very welcoming. They tell you to sit anywhere and expect you to somehow pull up their menu from their messed up QR code on the table that doesn't work. The first waitress that waited on us looked annoyed that I wasn't ready to order. Well I had to go outside to get the QR code and barely sat down when she came over. Thankfully, she didn't help us out much and another guy took over helping us out. The female waitress did come over and confirm that my hubby wanted coffee and asked us if we wanted anything else to drink. We said no and I made sure to tell her no waters because restaurants usually bring out water. Well if I didn't know she was annoyed, I definitely knew now. She acted like I insulted her children. Threw me a dirty look and everything. I'm just trying to save some water. The crab cake benedict has the worst quality crab meat I've ever had the displeasure of eating. I tried their Burbank location and loved their various and creative pancake options.....so finally after many years later tried their Glendale location. Waitress said they are cooking it again BUT what do you know....they washed the seasonings and sent it out. I mean what else are they recycling. I reside in Glendale wanted to give this place a try because of the amount of hype I have heard for this place. Unfortunately, it is definitely over hyped. I will admit the matcha and thai tea pancakes were pretty good and something I never had before. The portions were also really huge, so if you're going to order, this alone can fill you up. Now what threw me off was the lobster egg Benedict which was supposed to be one of their more popular dishes, but I think i was better off not getting it at all. Every time we pass by this place there is a long line. But I decided to go on a Monday morning and try my luck. We found parking right on the street, 2 hour parking meter. We walked in and sure enough they had a few tables open and were able to seat us right away. The staff is extremely friendly here. They were all looking out for one another. For example, someone took our drink order, then another person quickly came over to check if we were helped, someone else brought our coffees out. I really like that anyone there is able to help out any given table and that you're not tied down to one person. I couldn't decide between the Matcha Pancakes or the Thai Tea pancakes. So our lovely waiter suggested I get the Trio Pancakes which includes both of those and their Black Sesame Pancakes. We also ordered a side of Fruit Yogurt Parfait. Not long after our food came out and it was a sight to see. The fresh colors and smell of each pancake was just fantastic. We dug right in. The Matcha pancakes were out of this world. Thai Tea was so unique in flavor. And the Black Sesame was very interesting and tasty. They were all so fluffy and spongey. Love that texture!! And the Yogurt Parfait was excellent. The fruits on top were very fresh and the granola was the perfect pairing on top. Over all I know now why there's always a line out the door at this place. Great food and service! Pro: very attentive service, got asked if we needed something about every 5 to 10 minutes. Pancakes were delicious! Bathrooms are clean and up kept. Con: maybe they could have eased on checking on us so often. But I understand they had a lot of staff and wanted to be courteous. Food needs flavor...sorry guys in kitchen. I've even had the occasion to look at pandemic flight prices and contemplate whether it's worth it to fly the hours west for a couple to get my fix and visit folks. Then a quick prayer that and at the rate they're growing, another location will be someplace else. Maybe one in the Midwest or down South. I can dream big right?! If you're wondering if it's that good I'll say this. If you like Thai iced tea or green tea. You will love them. I've never in my life, taken a partially eaten pancake "in a to go box" but I would definitely pack them up. Not kidding.
