What a pleasant surprise! I came here for lunch with a good friend and we really enjoyed our lunch. Service was fast. The restaurant is very cute. The bathroom was super clean and decorated. They even had mouthwash. We started off with spinach dip. YUM! Then both got salads. The salmon nuttyberry had so much flavor. The steak for the steak salad was seasoned to perfection. It was cooked medium rare. We were so full and happy when we were done eating. I definitely want to return to this place. The food was so good I ate it too fast to snag a photo. The vibe was casual and intimate, perfect for a date night. The service was stellar, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was so tasty. We shared the deviled eggs, the EVOO add on gave it a tasty earthy balance. I had the chef's special of flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce and loaded whipped potatoes, it was perfectly prepared with a tender steak. The potatoes were creamy and so tasty. This place is cute. I really like the vibes and the ambiance they have going on here. It's really cute for a date night or just a chill get together with friends. Came here and tried a few different things (after looking at all the photos on yelp of course) Started with the short rib croquettes. These were....interesting. I'm not sure how to take them. They weren't nasty, in fact they were full of flavor and the meat was tender for sure. But the texture was a little strange for me. It gave off a boiled meat feel. Not sure exactly. You should definitely try them if you are interested- they just weren't for me. The Caesar salad was amazing! Delicious and refreshing and could tell the dressing was homemade. The steak and Mac and cheese was good. I will say it was kind of rich We also had the ribs. The brine and rub on them were very good and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts were delish! The cream corn was AMAZING! I do not even like corn but this was so good! We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and insightful. I am traveling on business and had the good fortune to dine at Bavette Grill last night. The experience was basically perfect from start to finish, and I will certainly be back! The service was absolutely outstanding, and frankly set the tone for everything that followed. I arrived perhaps only 15 minutes before closing time, and asked somewhat sheepishly whether the kitchen was still open. The hostess could not have been kinder or more welcoming as she answered in the affirmative and showed me to a booth. The busboy, who was super friendly and helpful, asked whether I wanted water, and he then brought it quickly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. The decor is tasteful and understated, the ceilings are high, and the dining area is spacious. The music was a mix of jazz and vocal covers of some of my favorite songs, including Clocks and Wicked Game. The volume was just right, too; audible and enjoyable, but not loud. My waiter for the evening was Kenneth F, and he provided outstanding service throughout the meal. He was friendly, professional, and courteous, and his service was attentive without being remotely intrusive. I did not feel rushed in the least, despite the late hour. It was he who recommended the French Dip Au Jus when I asked about a couple of alternatives, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the fries as well, and one of the other servers (he could have been a food runner) mentioned that they make their own ketchup. After I finished my entrée, Kenneth asked if I would like dessert, and then walked me through the choices. The chocolate cheesecake was simply amazing, and I can recommend it heartily. As I was leaving, I spoke briefly with the manager, to compliment Kenneth, and also to rave about the positivity and professionalism of the other staff who I had encountered that evening. When I was younger, I worked in restaurants as a busboy, dishwasher, pizza chef, and waiter, and I know excellent service when I see it. These employees seemed genuinely happy to be there, and they were engaged and attentive. The manager was grateful for the feedback, and he confirmed to me that what I described was the culture that they seek to foster at the restaurant. It shows! read more

Cocktails, service, and ambiance were top notch! I ordered the fly away with me cocktail. It was the best drink I've ever had, reminded me of an aviation. I had the French dip sandwich with a Ceasar salad. It was good I just wish the steak was chopped finer. Definitely tasted like prime steak but a little hard to chew for a sandwich. I would consider this a hidden gem. Business was a little slow for lunch so I kind of dined alone but they definitely deserve more than 5 stars. I can't believe I just discovered this hidden gem! 10/10 experience for real. For starters, they had a complimentary wine tasting last night and we tried 5 wines-all of them were really nice. For my meal, I tried the Short Rib Croquettes and they were AMAZING!! I also got the Butcher Burger and y'all- it was sooo good, the fries that it comes with were so crispy and well seasoned. We visited Bavette sometime ago, but it was excellent! I don't remember our server's name, but he was great. He was knowledgeable (told us about off-menu items), attentive, personable and funny. The ambiance was nice even if it was a bit on the dark side for my taste. I prefer lots of light. It was so dark that I had to use my phone's flashlight in order to read the menu. That aside, it was clean, modern and comfortable. The food was excellent. While we love bacon, it was not obvious at the time of ordering that almost every dish we ordered contained bacon. The short rib croquettes were awesome. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They were well seasoned and was accompanied by a sweet chili sauce. The sauce was so good that I bought a pint to take back home. Unfortunately, TSA burst my bubble when they confiscated it. The candied bacon was yummy. I'm not sure candied bacon is the official name for the dish, however. The bacon wrapped jalapeños and deviled eggs (they're topped with bacon) were delicious! Even our side of brussels had bacon. The steak was good from what I remember. We were so stuffed by the end, I don't know why we ordered dessert. The bread pudding was ok. Being from New Orleans, I've had much better bread pudding. I don't remember how the flourless chocolate cake tasted, though. Overall, we can't wait to return. read more

I finally got to try this place! We were greeted by the host and hostess when we first walked in. They were so friendly! The restaurant is beautiful. We sat in a lovely booth. Alejandro was very attentive in serving us. We got the BVT steak which was delicious. We loved the French fries and the Mac n cheese too. The salted caramel tiramisu was outstanding! After enjoying our dinner we retired to the sofa and fireplace in the inside patio/hydroponic herb garden for a cocktail. We were touched by two visits from both the Brazilian chef and manager and our waitress was very attentive. Reservations are necessary because it gets busy. Wow, this place was fantastic! We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop for lunch and a drink at the bar. I got their burger (3 types of meat ground into the patty) and it was delicious!. It came with thin "string" fries, which I usually don't like at all, but these were done so very well. Absolutely wonderful experience for lunch. The ambiance is perfect and a patio of greenery. They are all fresh, no freezer here. Their hydroponic herb garden on the patio is a great addition. What an adorable place we found thanks to Yelp. We don't venture this way much, but we were at a doctors appointment and I asked Yelp for spinach/artichoke dip near me. This was the first place that came up. Reviews were great. Pictures of the food looked delicious. So we decided to come try it. The waiter introduced himself as being from Turkey and he was attentive and knowledgeable. Although he "liked/recommend"THE MOST EXPENSIVE item in EVERY category on the menu as his favorite whatever. So either we had the bougiest waiter, OR he was trying to get the check up up up. We took his suggestions and the cocktail and wine were delightful. Spinach dip did not have artichokes, and the reason we went, but did not disappoint! Best chicken dish I've had in a very long time. I was looking for a place to take a group of ten to dinner-something that would be close to the office and a little nicer than the traditional fare. I remembered seeing this place under construction last year and that I'd made a mental note to give it a try someday. I called ahead and made a reservation, although when we arrived, I saw that we would have about half the restaurant to ourselves, so maybe a reservation wasn't necessary. This was on a Tuesday night; I'm not sure we would have had the same experience on a weekend. Nonetheless, our group of ten split into two groups of five and sat at tables across from each other. I enjoyed the smaller groups rather than one large table, but be aware if you have a large group, this is how the setup works. Ethan, our server, was delightful. He was attentive and kept our drinks topped off, made excellent recommendations on the menu and overall took great care of us. Several of us ordered the Bavette Steak-the menu item these guys are apparently known for. It lived up to it's hoopla-the pineapple marinade perfectly enhanced the flavor of the steak and it was cooked just right. The fries were good, but not outstanding. I would probably prefer a solid mashed potato instead of skinny fries. I'm glad to have tried Bavette Grill and look forward to returning in the future. read more

I brushed it off as being well-seasoned, but the last few bites I managed tasted just too salty. My boyfriend's french dip was nothing special, especially for being priced at $25. On a separate note, the bread pudding we had at the end of our dinner was amazing. Completely outstanding. I'm very picky on steak. I typically get tender cuts like filet, but since I saw so many positive reviews about their bavette steak, I decided to go for it. It was phenomenal, and the first time that I've ever finished a steak. Cooked perfectly and wonderfully tender. My SO's short rib French dip was fantastic as well. Beef was nice and tender. Bread was fresh and nice and crusty on the outside. Both of us really enjoyed the French fries. Crispy and not the least bit greasy. We had a Back on Black cocktail. It is whiskey based. While delicious, it is a cocktail more suited for cooler weather. I hope that they will continue to add more cocktails to their menu that are cool and refreshing for summer months. read more
