What hours are considered lunch at Bartlett's?

I lunch menu runs to at least 3PM.

I called to order a salad ($16.00) and spinach dip ($12.00) and was told the total was $40.00 due to take out fees (I was picking up)That is a lot, especially during a pandemic and that is before tip! Not sure why there is such a fee?

I've never ordered carry out from Barlett's. That said, $12.00 "take out fee" is outrageous, especially since you're picking up! I would order from someplace else.

But likely for a takeout next time, since they don't sell alcohol in the food court, and we definitely could use some beers with the meal. :D

The man cooking is incredibly sweet and came in clutch when I forgot to order seasoning. I was visiting from a region known for crab/seafood boils and was not disappointed! Crab tends to turn to shreds when it's overboiled, and I was EASILY pulling out nice, intact pieces from the shell, so no worries about that here. If you're in the area, definitely approach the truck even if it looks closed--worth it to double check!

I have been a loyal guest of Bartlett's for many years, consistently enjoying excellent food and exceptional service. The quality and consistency have always set the restaurant apart, and I have often recommended it to friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, my visit yesterday was a marked departure from that standard. While the food remained outstanding, the service fell short of what I have come to expect. It appears there are many new staff members, and they did not demonstrate the same level of professionalism or experience that has long been a hallmark of Bartlett's. My server's performance was disappointing enough that I chose not to leave a tip. Following this, I was approached by the manager, who interrupted an important conversation with a business associate to aggressively question me about the lack of tip. When I indicated I would speak with him later, his response became even more forceful, confrontational and bullying creating an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation for both myself and my guest. This conduct was unprofessional and wholly inappropriate, particularly from a manager representing a high-end establishment. I later spoke with the owner, who--as always--was gracious, attentive, and committed to upholding Bartlett's reputation. I left confident that he understood the seriousness of the issue and would address it. However, I feel it is important to note that service quality is currently inconsistent, and there appears to be a misunderstanding among some staff and management that tips are an entitlement rather than a discretionary gesture in recognition of exceptional service. I value Bartlett's and plan to return, but this experience has left me cautious and disappointed. I hope the standards that have made this restaurant exceptional will be reinforced and maintained moving forward. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin! I have been coming here for many years now and I have certainly seen this place grow and change. I always have wonderful service, the waitstaff are very professional and usually know when I am in the mood for conversation or want to focus on my meal and companions. Sometimes its a lil' disconcerting having my drink refilled in a very precise fashion, but its nice never going thirsty. One thing that has always impressed me is that they guarantee everything they serve, if you have a problem let a waiter know, they are always willing to accommodate. The food is always fresh, everything being done in house! The spinach dip is outta this world, some of the best in the country. My personal favorite is the French Dip Aus Ju... the best Prime Rib sandwich in my opinion. There are only two problems I can see new customers running into, the restaurant is busy during peak hours and you can expect a wait with no reservations available, so make sure you get your timing down or call ahead to get your name on the wait list. The other problem I can see coming up is that the items are a bit more expensive then the average Austin restaurant. If you aren't used to eating expensive meals, this will most likely be a meal you would take a date to, some place to spend the money you been saving up. But, it is worth it! Even though you are spending a lil bit extra cash the food and service more than makes up for it, completely worth the experience. In my honest opinion, these two problems aren't even worth taking off a star, they are to be expected of a fine dining restaurant. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Bartlett's and I was very impressed with the food and service. I started my meal with the roasted beet salad, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I had the filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection and served with a delicious béarnaise sauce. I also tried the roasted chicken, which was moist and flavorful. The service at Bartlett's was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure that we had everything we needed and that our meals were cooked to our liking. Yes, I know it's a chain but this place rocks. I love Houston's. I have never been to another location, but this one is awesome in every way. The lighting is perfect, the service and food are always impeccable. I like to go here because it everything is so consistent. I hate to go out and have a completely different evening at a restaurant than I had the time before. Not here, everything is always good. I will say, that I understand why people could say the food is overprieced. The steaks and fish are. But the quality and portions are really good. What I love is the fish sandwich, and the burgers. The smoked salmon appetizer is good too. They grill everything over wood, so it all get a really wonderful smokey flavor. I highly recommend this place. read more

Bartlett's made my wife's birthday night absolutely perfect. From the moment we sat down, the staff treated her like the star of the evening. The service was warm, genuine, and timed just right -- never rushed, never distant, just that perfect balance that makes you feel taken care of. The food was on point, but the real highlight was how they went out of their way to make her feel special. The birthday dessert, the presentation, the candle -- everything was thoughtful and classy. You could tell they put real pride into creating a memorable experience, not just another table to turn. My wife left smiling, and that's all I could've asked for. Our group went to Bartlett's on New Year's Eve and everything was hands down fantastic. Our table was ready when we arrived, and the service was excellent. (Thanks Jeremy) This is the original Houston's menu so they still have all my old favorites. I ordered the lemon sole, which may have been the best prepared fish I have had in Austin. Very good. The atmosphere is dark and cozy and although the place was packed it was not noisy at all. Aside from the great food and service, one of the surprising things are the reasonable prices! I have rediscovered one of my old Austin favorites and and I am glad to report it has only gotten better! I can't wait to go back. read more

This is our absolute favorite restaurant for special occasions. Their food is unique and incredibly delicious. We have been about 8 times in the past two years and every single time has been amazing. Their waitstaff is top-notch; they are knowledgable, respectful, courteous, and above all, possess amazing product knowledge about their menu items. Finally, the manager, Eric, has been actively engaged with customers on every visit we have had. He has a great attitude and is obviously very good at what he does, from hiring to quality assurance to customer service. I must say that their food is great and service is excellent. Everyone is on top of things and i always enjoy eating at bartlett's even when they were Houston's. My extended family dine there frequently as well so it wouldnt be a stretch to say one of us is in there at least three times a month. Why the three stars? Because i overheard a couple of servers mocking someone presumably another customer...or was it me? Either way i lost my appetite and just couldnt get it out of my mind. Very unprofessional. Bartlett's is one of the best restaurants in Austin! Once you get used to the great service, you can never eat anywhere else! It's an awsome place for a date. It's well worth the short wait too. Drinks are delivered within minutes of sitting down, the server is always ready to take your order, and the food is consistently delivered within 15 minutes. We have been regulars at Houston's now Bartlett's for years. The service is always on point and the food consistently great. The Frenchie is the best sandwich in town and the roasted chicken with Quinoa is a under the radar great dish. Hawaiian Ribeye is husbands favorite, he gets it on his birthday every year. Had dinner here with my friends. Really liked the place. The ambience is very nice, there is a small but nice patio area outside and a sizeable bar inside.They have a very nice wine selection and very delicious food. And the wait staff is just perfect. I knew I was close to Carve, which is my favorite restaurant. So I ended up going to Carve. Found parking on the street, which is free. But there is a parking garage where you can get a ticket, get it validated, and I believe it's 3 free hours. I also think you can down load an app and do it from your phone. But there is a lot of free street parking around. No app needed. They also offer valet too. I was greeted when I walked in. The gentleman asked if I wanted a table or a booth. Table please. I ordered a drink. Even though it wasn't on their cocktail menu, they made me a mojito. So refreshing on this hot day. Looked over the menu and decided on their prosciutto and fig pizza. Sweet and salty combination, I'm here for it. Pizza is lightly fired with a sweet fig spread, and the salty prosciutto. Beautiful shaved parmesan cheese, and arugula. A lot left over for a later snack. Also ordered their steak fries. Big wedge fries crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. That dipping sauce was so good. Highly recommend their wedge fries. Outstanding. I was ready for the check but then saw their dessert menu. They had a 3 small sample of a banana pudding, lemon bar and s'mores bar. I did order this but got it to go. I had their s'mores first which was outstanding. Thick chocolate with an ooey gooey marshmallow, sitting on a graham cracker. The next day at lunch I had the lemon bar. Which had the most flavorful lemon bite. Loved the lemon bar for sure. And for after dinner I finally had the banana pudding, which was good. But seemed rather flat compared to the others which had great flavor. But in all fairness, banana is not a strong flavor fruit. The pudding was good, light and fluffy. All in all, was a lovely meal. And take home dessert. I had enough left over for lunch the next day. Enjoyed it all. Carve is my favorite restaurant, always consistent with quality of food, and the wait staff have always been super pleasant.

All of our appetizers and entrées were amazing. The biggest opportunity was the service. Even though it was lunch time and very slow, half of the table drinks weren't replenished. My 5-year-old niece's pizza also arrived burnt; they kindly refunded it, which we appreciated. Overall, the food and atmosphere were wonderful, but for a luxury steakhouse, it's the little details that can turn a great meal into an exceptional experience.

Raw oyster tray never removed, in fact nothing finished was ever removed, food came, but runner had no where to place the entree's. Food runner was "selling" the entrees, meaning he had no idea where each plate went, very poor service for a restaurant trying to pass itself has upscale. Prime rib plate came with a side of mashed potatoes that were lukewarm and had spent quite some time in the dish as they were quite hard, the prep cooks also forgot to peel the damn things. The only reason to serve unpeeled potatoes is pure laziness. If I wanted to eat the peel of a potato I would order a baked one. Green beans were also barely warm. Prime rib was meh. Overall was very disappointing meal at a place calling it self the #1 steakhouse.

It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.

Also, the staff is incredibly gifted in the art of positive interactions. There are several different restaurants that that can provide a great steak but BOA excites your senses in every way. Since I was celebrating my anniversary, over the top was my choice. The Westholme Australian Waygu Ribeye was possibly the best steak I've ever had. I couldn't stop eating it even though I was full. The only downside was that they gave one scoop versus two so definitely be ready to have a craving for that afterwards. You can tell the philosophy of the restaurant and the fact that they're already operating under the "unreasonable hospitality" tenets of that beloved Book in the hospitality industry. They offered them a champagne toast for the birthday and proceeded to give the birthday girl a gift before they left. That and the fact that he took his time chatting with us and sharing his thoughts on the menu as well as drinks and even bringing my husband a taste of a drink that they just discussed in passing, but my husband had declined since we had a 3 Hour drive ahead of us. Without a request or prompting from us, Rafael brought it out and said "I know you've got a drive but I just wanted you to taste this since we talked about it, so don't feel any pressure to finish it." Aside from the seasoning, the steak was cooked well. I still loved the martini every time, and I'd happily come back for that alone.
