My wife loves crawfish and Louisiana Crab Shack is by far her favorite place to get them. We go here often and we love it every time. First of all, the food is absolutely delicious. We love the flavors. We often order the Bottom of the Bayou for the crawfish, which is a combination of Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Lovers. We enjoy their appetizers as well. They have great drink selections too. There are tons of TVs for sports fans. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is extremely friendly. Their prices are reasonable and they have great happy hour deals from 3 pm - 6 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Definitely a place I would recommend checking out! read more

Stopped by Louisiana Crab Shack for a seafood fix and left with mixed feelings. The service was genuinely great, super friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Portion sizes here are generous, no doubt about that. You definitely get a lot of food for your order. That said, I found the seasoning a little heavy-handed and too salty. The flavor was good, but it overpowered the natural taste of the seafood at times. Prices also felt a bit high for what you get. I don't mind paying for good seafood, but considering the seasoning and overall experience, it didn't fully justify the bill. I had a hankering for some Cajun food. Wahlah Louisiana crab shack popped to mind. Can you believe that they serve happy hour 4-6 PM Tues thru Sunday...lucked out! I ordered the gumbo, catfish nuggets and sweet potatoes waffle fries. The gumbo was like a work art...visually appealing and easy to consume. The rhue was thick like a gravy with chunks of sausage and okra. There were also finally chopped vegetables. Perfection!!! The catfish nuggets were lightly battered and flavored with Cajun spices. So good... The sweet potato fries were hard fried and cold. They were my least favorite. My waiter was super friendly and very accommodating. I will have to go back and try the crab boils. read more

Was on the hunt for some Louisiana-style seafood and I stumbled upon Louisiana Crab Shack located on Anderson Ln. first off, I appreciate the ample parking, and the actual business was pretty spacious with a lot of seating. Right upon arrival, we were treated very kindly to a table. The hostess was extremely sweet and accommodating to us. We got seated and got our drinks really quickly. I ordered a corona beer and my boyfriend got a strawberry margarita. The strawberry margarita was on the rocks and definitely a little more on the sweet side. We ended up, ordering the fried oysters as an appetizer, which were all right. i am not a huge fan of oysters, but the sauce that came with it which tasted like a spicy mayo sauce, was really good. for our entrée, we ended up going with the shack combo number one which we paired with the crab legs, shrimp and side of potatoes, corn, and eggs. We got the house seasoning mix as well as extra butter. Everything was brought to the table really quickly, which was really nice. We ended up going with mild for our spice level, which I thought we could've probably gone up a little bit, but I was afraid that even mild was going to be too spicy but definitely not here. If you are sensitive to spice, I definitely recommend getting the mild since it is the perfect amount of flavor, but if you're not that bad with spice, go for something a little more spicier. The shrimp was a bit tough, but the flavor was delicious. The extra buttered really gave it a little more flavor and I like that their house blend has a little bit of everything. the corn was absolutely delicious and the egg was the main star here. It was about $100 for everything we ordered which was not bad for the amount of seafood we got and alcoholic drinks but I think next time I will definitely amp up on the spice levels and seasonings. The owners came up to our table and greeted us. They were super polite. The overall custom service at the restaurant was fabulous. I have never been to a restaurant where I've been taken care of so much like this before. The crawfish was frozen since it isn't crawfish season. I'd give the crawfish a 1.5 out of 5. The shell was so brittle as we tried to remove the tails and the texture of the tail meat was awful. As someone who has only had fresh crawfish prior to these, I can say with confidence that I never intend to eat frozen crawfish again. The sausage was not good. I'd give the sausage a 1 out of 5. Over the last month I have ordered crawfish from Louisiana Crab Shack more than I'm willing to admit. Each time has been exceptional!! Ordering over the phone (no online ordering available) was pleasant and easy. The hosts, Terry and Mike, are always professional and kind. While I haven't dined in, I can see that this spot is very casual and clean. Outdoor dining is available as well. Now on to the crawfish! They are oh so tasty and pretty darn big. You select the spice level and type of sauce you want. I get medium spice and Bottom of the Bayou sauce. I'm not a fan of sauce on my crawfish but this one is terrific! It's not oily and it's loaded with fresh garlic and onions. My favorite part of all about Louisiana Crab Shack is that they have mastered consistency. For the appetizer, we ordered the Firecracker shrimp, this was lightly fried shrimp with an Asian sauce on a bed of dirty rice. It was perfection. The shrimp were perfectly fried with a crispy finish while the shrimp were tender and not over cooked. The rice had the perfect amount of spice. My friend enjoyed it so much, he ended up ordering additional rice to come out with his meal. For my entree, I ordered the 1 pound crab legs with a half pound of shrimp (peeled and deveined for an up charge) with Bottom of the Bayou seasoning - this came with corn and potatoes. I added steamed vegetables, one hard boiled egg and sausage. I crushed it!!! I ended up dumping the steam vegetables into my seafood bag to soak up some of those spices, seasoning and butter - it was divine! I thoroughly enjoyed my entrée. For dessert I ordered the beignets and we enjoyed them. They were topped with powder sugar and they also gave you the options of dipping sauces which my partner enjoyed Carmel and strawberry. Huge disappointment. Ordered a lot of food through Uber Eats and went in to pick it up myself. I had left my phone in the car so the guy made me go back out to get it to prove I had ordered. Not sure why my ID wouldn't have worked. Anyway, no big deal, I got the phone. Then they handed me my food that was sitting on the counter getting cold. I came to Louisiana Crab Shack for lunch after a nearby medical appointment and shopping excursion last week. I was greeted by a friendly young man who short stopped my approach to the order counter. I asked if the shrimp on the salad were grilled or fried. He told me they were grilled, but I could request fried. Then he recommended the fried baskets. I went with his first suggestion of the fried catfish and shrimp basket with fries. I thought maybe he was trying to warn me about the salads. Because, you know, people usually ask about salads as code for "I want fried". To my utter dismay, they offered Pepsi instead of real fountain sodas (although they did have three flavors of Stubborn). I ordered water instead. I paid and was advised to get my drink and take a seat wherever I liked. I later figured out that they prefer to seat you and take your order at the table, although that's not exactly obvious from the store layout or entrance path. I grabbed a styrofoam cup next to the soda fountain. I thought that was odd as this stuff is polluting the very waters that the fish I was about to eat depend on for their daily existence. However, they do offer plastic straws (and lids) conveniently next to the cups, which indicates they do have concern for those of us with dental issues and for those of us who are not environmentally friendly but still demand a to-go cup. At each table is a carrier with a variety of three hot sauces and a roll of paper towels. Ketchup and tartar sauce are provided in cups with your meal. More of each is available upon request. That is not usual for tartar sauce, but surprising for ketchup. I hope they change their policy and place ketchup at the table. Ketchup was the only vegetable I had to eat for lunch (other than the fries). That did not make for a well-balanced meal. Within a few minutes, my food was brought to the table by my server. Food was presented in a basket with a paper lining. I tried to pretend it was foil so I could have a silver lining. I received four shrimp and two catfish fillets atop a bed of Cajun fries. The shrimp were small-to-medium sized, definitely not large. I am not sure if they had been de-veined because they were not cut open like a butterfly. Nor did they fly away from the table. The catfish fillets were large, but the order of fries was really on the skimpy side. For $12, I would have preferred two more shrimp and one fewer catfish fillet if they have to cut corners on more than just the fries. I felt gypped. The shrimp were fine, but the catfish fillets tasted like they had been either brined in Old Bay or else the breading was liberally sprinkled with bay leaves. This is the first time I've ever experienced catfish spiced with bay leaves, and I grew up in Louisiana. The resulting flavor was meh. In sections, the catfish was very salty. Thankfully, the catfish was not muddy tasting. The Cajun fries tasted more like they came from Idaho rather than Louisiana, meaning they were not spicy at all. Service provided by my server was amazing for fast food, and the restaurant itself was spotlessly clean. Kudos for those two success stories. Those were the only two truly outstanding features of my visit. In all, I found the food safe and tolerable, though definitely not as expected. Unusual flavors wound up in the strangest places, and items that were advertised as spicy simply were not. For a fast food restaurant, the price is a bit high for what you get. It was not the enjoyable seafood experience that I expected. Quite simply, there is nothing Louisiana about this crab shack. It's a chain out of Dallas with plans to expand soon to Cedar Park and Kyle. Let's hope they find the can of Tony Chachere's before those stores open. read more

For anything boiled, you choose the seasoning and the spiciness level. Our server recommended the Bayou seasoning which combines all of the list, it was really good. My friend got the highest level of spice and said it was not that spicy. I saw their crawfish is very reasonably priced per pound, I'll have to come back to try them. The calamari and their fries are very good. I did not care for the catfish, I think it could have used more seasoning. The gumbo smelled good but it was just broth. The snow crab legs were very full which were good, but they weren't that flavorful. I had to dip them in butter and then a combination of other things each time. It is also weird that the water cups come in to-go styrofoam with the lid on, and the side orders of tartar sauce and ketchup also came in plastic to-go containers with the lids on... it made no sense. I also wish they had Old Bay or some kind of seasoning on the tables. They have 3 different hot sauces at each table though, and I do understand it is a Louisiana restaurant afterall.
