We started with the corn nugget appetizer--sweet corn and cream corn, breaded and fried to a crispy golden brown and served with ranch. They were sweet, crispy, and very yummy. My husband ordered the catfish dinner with onion rings, beans, and coleslaw. I had the catfish and shrimp dinner. The catfish and shrimp were both fried beautifully--crispy on the outside, flavorful, seasoned well, and most importantly, NOT greasy. That alone will bring me back. The coleslaw deserves its own little shout-out because it was so, so good, and the beans were right there with it. My husband enjoyed his onion rings too. Now the hush puppies? They weren't for me. My husband said they were okay, but I would personally skip those next time and double down on one of the other sides. One of my favorite things about the meal was discovering the next day that my leftovers reheated beautifully. When fried catfish and shrimp can survive the refrigerator, get warmed back up, and still have some bite and flavor to them, somebody in that kitchen knows what they're doing!
