Fresh crawfish on Tuesday
Ellie N.

I was excited for fresh crawfish. They have it fresh from Louisiana on Tuesday and Thursday. The moment I took the first bite, it was disappointing. It was soooo salty I thought I would have a kidney failure the next day. I have heard great reviews about this place though, so I'll give them another try for the lunch happy hour and try out other dishes.

Fantastic food that was only on the lunch menu but we got it ordered with the excellent service and coordination of the staff. Thanks Josh!

L had water and I had a Mexican Martini. We both ordered the lunch special with fried shrimp and catfish. L had fried okra and I had a cup of seafood gumbo. Everything was excellent. The shrimp and catfish were cooked perfectly. L loved the fried okra and my seafood gumbo was delicious.

I am a regular at Cypress Grill, a restaurant that has a Louisiana Cajun fare menu. It has a relaxing, casual atmosphere with seriously good food that is made from scratch. They are known as a small restaurant with a big heart. I am always looking for a place that balances comfort with thoughtful execution, and Cypress Grill always delivers. They have an amazing reward program. I was using my $10 off birthday coupon on this occasion. My go-to is the trout meunière, and it is prepared beautifully. The rainbow trout was perfectly cooked, delicate, flaky, and never overdone, with that classic meunière preparation letting the fish shine. The lemon-parsley butter sauce was bright and balanced, enhancing the dish without overpowering it, and every bite felt intentional and refined. It is served over white rice. I usually get a side salad with ranch dressing that is crisp and fresh. On this dining occasion, I sat at the bar and the bar tender was attentive and friendly with appropriate conversation. The atmosphere in the dining area is relaxed yet polished, making it just as suitable for a casual night out as for a special dinner. Service was attentive without hovering. Cypress Grill is the kind of place that reminds you why simple dishes, when done right, are so satisfying. I will return to explore more of the menu and was excited to see Scallop Risotto as the January special.

It was very busy this afternoon. Until after the happy hour and then all of a sudden the restaurant was almost empty. Until then the noise level was a little high. The food was decent. We had catfish, seafood platter and seafood combo. Our server was pleasant and friendly. We will be back.

If you are looking for a delicious Muffletta, you should give this place a try. We started off with a couple of adult beverages. The Margarita on the rocks was really good and refreshing, but the Bloody Mary won the prize. It's probably one of the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had. It was really tasty, flavorful and delicious and had some kick to it...pretty spicy...which I like. If you don't like spicy...steer clear. We ordered the "Troy's Favorite Lunch". It came with a quarter Muffuletta and a cup of chicken & andouille sausage gumbo, we substituted it for the seafood gumbo. The sandwich had a lot of meat and cheese on it with the olive sauce paired very nicely. The bread was very fresh and the combination of everything complimented each other and was very tasty. The seafood gumbo was delicious. From the thick dark brown roux, the rice and a lot of shrimp and seafood, it was really good. The servings are very generous, I don't think you'll leave hungry. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Our server was very polite and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant has a really fun and laidback vibe to it. The atmosphere was very pleasant, fun and full of friendly people. The restaurant was very clean. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Best restaurant ever. Fantastic service. Always best food. I have tried 98% of the menu and they are all banger

Dried up not juicy one bit. Nothing like Louisiana people cooking crawfish. Salty very salty.

Very very dry, and not a good atmosphere for people of colored. Service, was to go.Hardly got a smile out of any of them. Young people and staff members Attitudes are dried just like the darn crawfish they serve to me.

Ordered to-go. Crawfish Po'Boy and Crawfish Egg Rolls. Both packed with flavor and not overly seasoned. Great dipping sauces to accompany. Easy parking lot. Small restaurant so there was a wait for breakfast.

The food is delicious. The fried food is very much fresh, but it's like fried but now like overly greasy the service is friendly, especially if you sit at the bar, but even the tables they are super happy everybody's talking to each other. The patrons are really complementary about the entire restaurant the ambience is comfortable and fun and everybody seems to be enjoying themselves. I had the crawfish eggrolls and Boudin balls and some french fries to go with my delicious lemon drops and cosmos you can't go wrong. The bartenders Jamie and Ryan really know how to make you feel like you are special and the drinks are amazing. They have great balance. Are friendly. You must try this place. The prices are really fair and the food is really amazing.

My partner brought me here, he used to come here a lot. This is my first time coming here and my food was delicious. I got the crawfish delight and it was amazing. I can't wait to go back. The pot roast was yummy. The food wasn't salty, I'm super salty sensitive and I was happy that I was able to eat it. The service was okay, I think our server was bogged down with a table that kept talking to him, so it was taking much of his time. It was fine. I would definitely recommend this and I can't wait to try something new.

We love Cypress Grill and have come for years... Tonight we ordered to go. Salmon salad, catfish platters, trout menagerie, kid's shrimp and chicken and andouille gumbo. Everything was delicious, even for take-out.... EXCEPT the gumbo. Not sure what happened to the gumbo. I usually love the dark roux but tonight it tasted a bit burned and with an almost burnt coffee taste. Sadly it was inedible. Don't let that keep you from having the gumbo but maybe don't order it to-go in case there are issues. No other pictures because, we were hungry.

Had lunch with my husband today at Cypress Grill. It is a fabulous New Orleans inspired restaurant just west of Mopac on William Cannon in the Gold's Gym shopping center. It's been a while since we have eaten at this restaurant and I forgot how wonderful it is. We were seated as soon as we entered. Drink orders taken in a timely manner while we looked over the menu. My husband had a margarita and it was smooth and refreshing. He then decided to try their Spice Infused Bloody Mary in which they infuse vodka in house with a variety of hot peppers such as jalapenos and serranos. I had a taste, and while it was a bit too hot for me, it had a wonderful array of flavors. My husband, who likes spicy, said it was the best bloody mary he ever had in a restaurant. We both decided to order the Troy's Favorite Lunch, which is a quarter muffuletta and a cup of gumbo. We both opted for the seafood gumbo. The gumbo had a flavorful roux with shrimp and crab that was quite tasty. The muffuletta had grilled ham, Genoa Salami, Mortadella, melted Provolone cheese, and homemade olive dressing. The bread was perfectly toasted and remained crunchy to the last bite. The meats were perfectly grilled with the cheese and with the right touch of olive dressing. While a quarter of a sandwich may not sound like enough to fill you up, don't be fooled. It's huge and more than enough for a meal let alone adding the amazing gumbo. The service was attentive, the meal well paced, and the cajun/zydeco background music was festive. I can't wait to go back.

Ask the Community - Cypress Grill

Will Cypress Grill consider putting Crawfish Enchiladas on the menu?

It was previously! But ultimately didn’t make the cut for various reasons. It has and probably will again reappear as a monthly featured entree. Stay tuned!

Are dogs welcome in the new patio space?

Yes! All leashed pets are welcome on our patio space, and trained service dogs are allowed indoors.

Does Cypress Grill serve Coke or Pepsi products? Also do they do bottomless refills on soda?

Hi, our soda fountain offers Maine Root sodas from Austin, which are free-trade and organic. Our fountain includes their standard soda, a diet, a Dr. Pepper substitute, a lemon-lime and a (non-carbonated) lemonade. Free refills are available on… Read more

**Updated Review**…read more I've been back a few times since my first visit, and each experience has been great. The ambiance is cozy, classic, and laid‑back -- perfect for groups, business lunches, or dates. I especially enjoy their seasonal cocktails -- they're delicious. And no matter what, my top dish will always be the lobster roll. I will say that my friend's steak wasn't prepared as requested (undercooked), and even the second attempt missed the mark. Personally, I've never had any issues with my orders, and this spot remains a top choice for those who live nearby.

This would be a great date dinner spot as well as a lovely place to kick back and enjoy a gorgeous seafood dinner. My vodka martini and glass of Chardonnay were great, the Chenin Blanc by the glass was also worth ordering. We loved the wood grilled oysters in a zingy citrus and spice sauce. They were a thrill to the tongue and you got the perfect amount of smokiness. The blue cheese wedge was so good. I wouldn't mind a less salty bacon, but it was still so good that I made it all go away. I loved how the tomatoes and cucumbers tasted like they'd been individually tossed in good olive oil and lemon even though the wedge had a classic creamy blue cheese dressing. Shore's chef is really bringing all the flavor to the dish components. The whole fried red snapper in mojo de ajo was glorious. We split a two pound version between the three of us and that was just right. The snapper was fresh, tender, and tasty, and it was served with components of pico, cabbage, delicious black beans, very good rice, tortillas... I recommend Shore!

Outside there's a cute playground, gated, for the younger kiddos. Perfect for those who want to keep the kids occupied but also enjoy a snacky snack and a drink. There are plenty of gluten free options, and we ended up getting the Yardbird Chicken Sandwich on a gluten free bun, a complimentary Reuben sandwich on a gluten free bun, fish and chips, and a burger for the kiddo. All of them were great! Hubby enjoyed the fish and chips and the spray bottle with malt vinegar! Such a fun touch, nice and crispy, and the chips were crunchy and delicious. I actually really liked my chicken sandwich. While it looks standard, it was such a good bite, super filling, and since gluten free, I got a side salad which was nice and simple and light. The Reuben was GREAT! I was so excited I could have it since on a gluten free bun. The corned beef wasn't super greasy or heavy or too salty which I really appreciated, and the aioli was great to balance out all other parts of the sandwich. The slaw, pickles, everything were all so good, and definitely worth getting in the future! And our kiddo demolished the burger in a heartbeat! Add some great service - super kind, funny, and made me feel so safe eating there with an allergy. He was great, and even though he was busy, he did such a great job coming and checking in! We also had a pint of Lazarus Rice Lager which has been treated and is consumable for those with a gluten allergy (not Celiac)! I love Lazarus beers so much, especially this rice lager! So light and perfect on a hot day! We would definitely come back any time! Defintely worth the stop!

We waited about 5-7 minutes before someone came to greet us at the hostess station. After greeting us she seated us. Once we were seated we waited awhile before she came back with menus and she took our drink order. After a few minutes she brought us our waters and took our order. The hostess/waitress was really busy but despite that she did an excellent job taking care of us. For our starters we shared two items. The Carnitas Poutine which comes with fries, pulled pork, cheese, jalapenos and red onions. This was really good. The pulled pork mixed with the other ingredients was filling and could be a meal on its own. We also shared the fried cheese curds. They came with a tomato sauce and a buttermilk sauce that you could dip your curds in. These were really good when they came out. The cheese was nice nice and stretchy and the exterior wasn't very crunchy but added texture. Both sauces were good and each had a distinct flavor. For our main meal we all shared a bowl of the Truffle Fries. They aren't on the menu but the waitress told us that if you request them the chef can make them. They were really good fries. My husband and son both ordered the Southwest Pimento Burger which comes with beef, pimiento cheese, jalapenos, a tostada, corn relish, and aioli. They said that the burger was really good. I ordered the Harvest Burger cooked Medium. It comes with beef, cabbage, apple jam, aioli and cheese. I ordered mine with swiss cheese instead of cheddar cheese. The burger was delicious. It was cooked perfectly. I could taste all of the combined ingredients and really liked the sweet and salty flavor of it. It was just balanced so well. Overall Oasthouse is a good lunch spot. The service was good despite the waiting plus they have a variety of starters and delicious burgers.
