Wonderful place to eat along the creek. L had green chili cheeseburger with fries and a Shiner Bock. I had fried gulf shrimp with fries and slaw with the Margarita of the day. Service was excellent and food was great.

Great service! Food came fast! So much flavor especially in my pasta. And a much needed, very strong drink to start our Sunday! This place was nothing that I expected, so I was pleasantly surprised to have come and enjoyed our brunch here.

I hate to share this since they are already so busy...but...on Mondays from 3pm-close, they currently have half price appetizers and $5 margaritas. We've tried many items on the menu. The fried catfish is yummy, the guacamole is a good serving to share, the quesadillas with barcoa beef...delish! Soup of the days are great (they will bring you a sample if unsure). This week we tried the chicken nachitos and guacamole, hearty servings, love their chips. If anyone from Jack Allen's reads...PLEASE bring back the ravioli Gorgonzola on the appetizer menu! : ) oh, bartenders Abigail, Parker, Christina, Summer, Holly and Ron...all friendly and attentive. Great staff! Kudo's!

My family and I went to Jack Allen's Kitchen on New Year's Eve for a late lunch. It was after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush so we didn't have to worry about crowds. We drove up and parked easily. We walked in and were given the choice to eat inside or outside. We chose to eat inside. The inside and outside were a good size with several seating options, bars inside and outside and nice views. After being seated at our table we were greeted by our waitress who did a good job taking care of us while we were there. She gave us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We all opted for water. She came back to take our order after a few minutes. We started with a pimento cheese and and crackers which was a good start. The crackers are crispy and the pimento cheese is really good. We also ordered chips and salsa. The salsa was tasty and the chips were warm and semi salty. We ordered the chicken nachitos which has Tinga chicken, beans, cheese, and jalapeños. That is one of my favorite parts of the meal. All of the combined ingredients make good nachos. For our meals One of my sons got the cheese macaroni and chicken. I tried a little bit and it was good. It was creamy, very cheesy, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My son devoured it. My other son wanted steak tacos. We ordered him the steak taco and fundido skillet with everything on the side. He basically just wanted meat and tortillas. The waitress made a note and brought him out a plate with just the steak and tortillas. He enjoyed the meal and finished it. My husband ordered the Tejana Enchilada. The enchiladas came with Tinga chicken, cheese, and a fried egg on top with a side of rice and black beans. I tried it and it was really good. We both agreed that the Tinga chicken in the enchiladas is delicious. I ordered the steak taco and fundido. It comes with grilled flour tortillas, beef tenderloin, grilled veggies, grilled jalapeños, and a cheese fundido. It came in a skillet. The beef tenderloin was really good. It had a lot of flavor and it was tender. The veggies were also good I just wish there was more of them. Some of the fundido cheese was stuck and burnt to the skillet. It didn't separate. I had to cut it just to get some to put in my tacos. I think it hardened too much by the time they brought us our meal. Despite that it added flavor to the tacos. Overall it was a good place to go for a good meal. The restaurant is nice with lots of seating options, the service was good, and the food was really good.

    Eggs were perfect.

We were in South Austin, and Gemini recommended we stop in. The staff was polite and attentive. We had migas, biscuits and gravy, and two scrambled eggs. The biscuit was excellent with a pleasant smoky taste, and the sauce was rich and creamy. The migas were subpar and was flat, with the description on the menu being much more vibrant than the meal. All together a nice place that we will try again with different items ordered

We always enjoy Jack Allen's for any occasion! I highly recommend their brunch, but today we actually went for lunch and tried their crispy shrimp tacos. They were delicious!!

I've been to Jack Allen's before, at the Anderson location and had a good meal. Went to this location a littler after the lunch rush so we were seated immediately. it was nice to be seated in the covered patio. Food had good portions, reasonable prices and came out within a reasonable amount of time. Got the frozen margarita with wine topper. It's off menu so you'll have to know to ask for it. Our server was friendly and on top of it. Can't beat some tried and true places like this place.

1/31/25- Last stop before heading to the airport.. One of the best decisions to eat here-! Server; Summer- outstanding! Super friendly and helpful! Went with her suggestion: Fat Jack burger- yummy! Bbq and bacon! Crispy fries.. Pesto marinated crab stuffed chicken- delish- Not heavy- and super moist- Love the fresh veggies! Chicken nachos- very satisfying- Bourbon apple cobbler- love the crumble and not too sweet with nicely thin sliced apples. Definitely coming back next trip.

Is Jack Allen's the most underrated place in Austin? We seriously love this place. We discovered this location over Christmas and have already been back 2 more times. It's about 20 minutes from Downtown and is on the way home from where my fiance works, so it's a good spot for us to meet for happy hour or dinner. We brought my parents here for dinner when they were visiting and we all had a great experience with our server Jake. He really did try to upsell EVERYTHING which was a little annoying especially since we frequent Jack Allen's and knew what we wanted. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was a great server though. My mom loved the short rib special and the pimento cheese grits it was over were *chef's kiss*. On Mondays right now they have $5 frozen margs and half off starters. The regular and frozen margaritas are strong and delicious! My fav frozen marg in Austin! Sometimes I add a floater for only a couple dollars more. I tried the shrimp toastada bites for the first time and they were delicious! We always get the queso and entrees vary. I love the gulf redfish dinner and recently tried the shrimp enchiladas that were very good too. Parking is easy and the restaurant is always clean (including bathrooms). Great experience every time!

There are plenty of gluten free options, and we ended up getting the Yardbird Chicken Sandwich on a gluten free bun, a complimentary Reuben sandwich on a gluten free bun, fish and chips, and a burger for the kiddo. All of them were great! Hubby enjoyed the fish and chips and the spray bottle with malt vinegar! Such a fun touch, nice and crispy, and the chips were crunchy and delicious. I actually really liked my chicken sandwich. While it looks standard, it was such a good bite, super filling, and since gluten free, I got a side salad which was nice and simple and light. The Reuben was GREAT! I was so excited I could have it since on a gluten free bun. The corned beef wasn't super greasy or heavy or too salty which I really appreciated, and the aioli was great to balance out all other parts of the sandwich. The slaw, pickles, everything were all so good, and definitely worth getting in the future! And our kiddo demolished the burger in a heartbeat! We also had a pint of Lazarus Rice Lager which has been treated and is consumable for those with a gluten allergy (not Celiac)! I love Lazarus beers so much, especially this rice lager! So light and perfect on a hot day! We would definitely come back any time! Defintely worth the stop!

I had no idea it was even here and I LOVE PHO. I've been under the weather with horrible allergies and I was craving a great bowl of Pho Soup, so I finally Googled "Pho in Westlake, and Lee's came up. So I called up, ordered and drove over. The ambiance is super cute and clean. THIS SOUP BLEW MY MIND!!! This soup blew anything out of the water that I have tasted in Vietnam. Healthy and hardy portion. We started off with the spring rolls. These were the freshest Spring rolls I have ever tasted, and the sauce was incredible. Then we moved onto the 1 Beef Pho and 1 Vegetable Pho that we ordered. I put some beef in the Vegetable Pho, and it tasted phenomenal. As well, I wanted to add that I don't even like tofu, but the tofu that was in the soup was so fresh and spongy. Nothing like you've ever tasted, in a fabulous, unexpected but tasty way. THE BEEF BROTH WAS AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE!!! MY NEW GO TO PHO PLACE!!! Shout out to Brittany and your take out crew/staff........for being Extremely hospitable and inviting. ONLY SUGGESTION-I've been in marketing & sales, the restaurant industry, and the hospitality industry for over 32 YEARS. Now I'm in Corporate Real Estate. I've travelled the whole world and what I am telling you is that YOU HAVE THE BEST PHO SOUP I'VE EVER TASTED.......AND I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE EVEN THERE!!! (and I've been in Westlake for 10 years, and I drive into that parking lot, minimally 3 times a day, for one reason or another). Why is this? How come I didn't know you were there?......Besides the fact that I never googled "Pho Westlake". I'll tell you why......from my experience and expertise, it because of your signage and name. With the name "Lee's Kitchen and Cocktails", I thought you were just another Chinese restaurant, and were loyalists to Chinatown Westlake. Which leads me back to how can we fix this, and generate you more business?! I'll tell you how you do it....I like your name, but I would have your signage company make a BIG black and white, LARGE sign in Italic, that says "PHO". Then have a bowl of soup with chopsticks coming out of it. But minimally a LARGE "PHO" in writing. I'd place it to the right of LEE'S Kitchen and Cocktails. That way every one will know what you serve, when they look at your name. Then I would go on all your social media platforms and ADD "PHO" to your name. Either LEE'S PHO-Kitchen + Cocktails, or something to that effect. LEE'S Kitchen + Cocktails-PHO. Had I seen this on the wall for the last 10 years, 3 times a day, I WOULD HAVE STOPPED, COME IN, AND BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR THE LAST 2 PLUS YEARS. Please take my suggestion to heart and I can't wait to see your business thrive, even more than it already is. With love, Joanne and family
