I walked in today 10/13/21 around 5:30 with no other customers. I ordered a mango smoothie with lychee and a coconut smoothie with pearls. I got a mango smoothie with no inclusion And a coconut smoothie with lychee. So I walked back in there to correct my items and she adds the lychee to the mango smoothie on top. Not on the bottom like they're supposed to. But ok no big deal. But then proceeds to do the same with the Perales on the coconut smoothie. Keep in mind the lychee is still at the bottom. I proceed to tell her that we only want pearls and not both lychee and pearls in one drink and this is how I get my smoothie back. I don't know why it wasn't done right not the first or second time if there was no other orders. Such a lazy worker. We are regulars and this is a first. read more

We visited during the day and it was not too busy. You order your drink from a kiosk - they have full boba options! (Ice, sweetness, add-ons ect.) It was also pretty cool that for your basic drinks they will give you two topping options free. I ordered the Vietnamese Coffee with Sea Salt and it did not disappoint - delicious, strong coffee with a sea salt cream made for an excellent morning pick-me-up. I often have trouble eating taro trunks through a straw but when mixed with jelly, the whole thing goes through the straw easily. Ordered two drinks through yelp this afternoon around one. The first drink was made incorrectly and the second drink was made correctly thankfully. The store front did not seem to have received my orders when I walked in. Which isn't the employees fault, however when taking my order when I got there, the nice miss had quickly looked at the drinks on my screen and assured me she'd get them out for me asap. Although, she unfortunately didn't get the full item details which led to multiple mistakes and a couple of retries. Ultimately, I didn't want to disrupt the two employees anymore and settled with what they had produced for me. One of them seemed stressed and the other seemed confused, but that was only what I was seeing with my interactions. Friendly feedback I'd like to suggest to the team, when taking online orders that weren't received in store, take the time to write it down or ask the necessary questions you would a person that walks in to ensure product accuracy and less time spent on that order. To the nice miss that helped me, you're doing amazing, thank you for being patient with me and your team member. He seemed to have a lot of questions for her, but she had the tolerance to deal with the customers, the orders and the other hiccups on shift. She's a player that has star potential, with a little guidance can be a great Leader. Management, teach your team throughly on how to deal with annoying hiccups that may happen on a shift. read more

The waffle is inside a paper bag that is too small to even fit half of the waffle. There is nothing at all to cover it. God knows what the waffle has been exposed to during the delivery trip. I asked the courier to leave it at the front door to minimize contact during this pandemic, and I was surprised to find my fully exposed waffle on the ground. If you like Vietnamese Che drinks then this is the place to get it. I placed my order on DoorDash and was able to pick it up even before they opened (placed order at 10:30am and picked up at 10:50am). BAMBU FAVORITE - my husband likes this one, they package it with a seran wrap on top so it doesn't spill. It comes with pandan jelly, red tapioca, grass jelly, and coconut milk. They put a ball of ice in it as well and provide a long spoon to eat it with. Never any complaints from the husband when drinking/eating this and it is pretty filling. STRAWBERRY FRUIT TEA - there isn't much of a description for this so I thought I would shed some light. I wasn't able to customize my sweetness or add extra toppings like you can through the Yelp app (is the boba free??) but it's also more expensive on the Yelp app! It tastes like there is probably a green or jasmine type tea inside since it does have a tea taste but not overly heavy. I usually am a 75% sweetness kind of person and to me, this tasted like it had 50% sweetness. Not overly sweet but not super bitter. The strawberry flavor did taste pretty fresh and real, not syrup. They also included strawberry and either peach or mango bits and basil seeds inside. Overall, if you don't like any of the other items on the menu and want to get a fruit tea that is refreshing this is a good option. It is ~$5 though... Overall, if you are in the mood for an asian drink or Vietnamese Che drink and you're in the area, this is the place to go. read more

I always come here to get my Asian coffee fix. I usually get the hazelnut mocha coffee with coffee jelly. This place just recently got remodeled and it's really cute inside to sit and enjoy a coffee or one of their other tasty drinks. Always fast service when I come in around noon time. Worst place to have any drink. Worst business. Worst customer service. I generally don't write such harsh words but my patience was tested today. I went there with a friend today. This was my first time at this place. I wanted to order Mango Dazzle. I asked the lady at the counter if she could tell me about ingredients of this smoothie. She said I don't know. I asked again, if it's possible to get that without sugar. I was just done detoxing and sugar makes me sick. She redirected to the tablet where I selected "No Sugar" and "Almond milk". My Mango drink very clearly had sugar. It was very sugary and I could totally taste it. I still didn't say anything. After a few sips, I saw a black bug in my drink. I immediately took it back to the lady. She argued with me that she can't see the bug and tried to stir my drink to hide the bug. Luckily it came on top again. I also asked about added sugar, she lied again that no sugar was added. She said if I want to exchange my drink. I was disgusted already and wanted to leave. I said NO to another drink and asked her to keep my drink. She said a firm NO that she can't take the drink back and can't issue refund. I was out of my patience and mentioned I need to complain about the bug in the drink!! She then ANGRILY stared at me for the next one minute. We were just staring at each other for one full minute. She looked super angry. In the same angry attitude, she turned and did something at her register and gave me a receipt saying take your refund. Not sure if someone ever taught her anything about CUSTOMER SERVICE, specially when a bug appeared in my drink. She lied about sugar too. Here I am, sitting at my couch with upset and aching stomach. Imagine how serious she would be about something people are allergic to. Consider my one star towards the cool interior they had. But negative stars for their drink and the angry employee. The cutest macarons on earth! I posted the cute pictures of these funny animals (I did not know they were famous characters among the kids population) on my Facebook and everybody was running to Bambu to get some of those for their children. I was mostly attracted to the cute factor. Pretty colors in interior, very spacious, clean and cozy at the same time. Some tables outside too. I ordered a jasmine milk green tea with boba and was very good (post ramen is great, try it out!), so it was my dessert post-lunch place. Happy for this new discovery for me in Sunnyvale. read more

Not a bad option for some bubbles! Came here on a weekday. It was a hot afternoon and bubble tea seemed liked the perfect option to cool us down. We had parked our car a few blocks away and took the walk into downtown. The access is pretty easy and there's plenty of other shops and eateries around if you're looking to stay a while and explore. Inside it's pretty open, the counter to order meets you when you walk in, and then there's a decent amount of seating for those that wish to enjoy their drink inside. The menu is pretty solid. Lots of options and combinations to choose from. We chose to go with their avocado smoothie, unsweetened, and added the tapioca. It was something different for sure. The tapioca added the perfect amount of sweetness to the unsweetened avocado without causing a sugar high. The workers were friendly and let us take our time going through the menu and answering questions on ingredients and the options we had for drinks. When our desserts came out, it looked like it had been chilling in the sun.. The ube ice cream in my Halo Halo was completely melted. This review is based on my experience with one drink only, so disclaimer: it may be a bit biased! My awesome team leader treated us all to bubble tea this afternoon, and he ordered delivery from Bambu. I ordered a Thai milk tea ($4.75 on the delivery website, unclear if this is the true price in-store) with 25% sugar and no ice. When it was delivered, it had 100% sugar and 100% ice. It still tasted pretty good, but what is the point of customization if the customizations don't make it into the final product? The Thai milk tea was quite good, but didn't blow me away. It tasted very standard to other Thai milk teas that I have had. I did like that there was a lot of boba at the bottom, but I think the amount of drink given was on the small side. read more

My usual go to drink is the pennywort with young coconut water since it's kind of a pain to get the pennywort and juice it yourself since it's really only best freshly juiced as it will oxidize pretty quickly. This shop doesn't do it fresh, it came out almost brown and there looked like chunks in the juice. It didn't taste any better than it looked either. Mine came out without any young coconut either, I had to clarify with the cashier and she took it back in to add. In the end it wasn't drinkable and I just threw it out. They do have a few couches, and quite a few tables indoor (and 2 outdoors) for you to sit and chill too. Not sure what the wifi password is...but they do have wifi! Ask for it! Ordered: 1. Bambu Combo #2: red, white, mung bean; taro, pearls, pandan jelly, combo jelly, coconut milk // Slurp and scoop is the key here... +1 SO MUCH TOPPINGS, like a dream come true! +1 Strong coconut flavor (I mean, it is coconut milk). -1 Beware, it will get very sweet since all the toppings are sweetened. If I had the ability to give 3.5 stars, I'd probably do that. The food itself and general ambience was good, and they have wifi! The one thing that really made the experience not so great was the long wait time to get our pandan waffles. The milk tea was out super quick, so if that's all you're ordering, you'll be fine! Pandan waffle: delicious tasting, ordered it crunchy. It was crunchy on the outside and had the chewy pandan taste on the inside! They have at least 3 waffle makers from what I could see in the back, but it took them over 20 minutes to give us 3 waffles. I'm really not sure why, maybe people don't order it as much or there was only 2 of them in the kitchen? In any case, I'm not usually in the area, but the waffle was good tasting so maybe if I'm back there again and craving it I'll try it again. read more
