These meatballs were incredibly tender, sitting in a rich pomodoro sauce that brought a beautiful balance of brightness and depth. Finished with a sprinkle of pecorino Romano, each bite had that savory, slightly salty kick that elevates the entire dish. The toasted ciabatta crostinis were crisp and golden--perfect for soaking up every bit of that sauce. And that fresh basil leaf on top? A simple touch that added just the right amount of freshness to bring it all together. After a day of capturing powerful stories, it was refreshing to experience that same level of care and intention on the plate. This appetizer didn't just hit, it lingered

It was definitely not the same place. However, this place warmed up to me pretty quickly. It looked a lot different when it first opened, has theough a few changes with one being a Hallway to the sushi restaurant next door - Great sushi by the way!! My friend and I were equally impressed. We got the giant meatballs from South Village and 3 different types of sushi from next door. Quite the spread but all of it was good!! I come a lot here - for months I used to come every Sunday night get the wings and hummus. Whatever the old wing sauce was - it was sooo good. They have now switched to buffalo and to be honest other places make it better. Still try the hummus. It's delicious. So is the incredible meatball. Drinks here have always been really good. Quality. Pizza really goood - get the Hot Honey pepperoni. They also used to have one of the best calamari plates in the city - and I have Italian parents who ALWAYS order Calamari. So if you ever see it - get it. Small tv in the corner by the bar - enough to be seen, small enough not to kill the vibe but definitely don't come if your goal is to watch a game. This past time I went I had the Braised short rib, with a Martini and the cookie with ice cream for dessert. I hardly ever get dessert but some broad yelled at me for getting stuck in the great snowmageddon snow on the way here so cookie it was!

It may not look like much, but it packs a whole lot of "great" inside of it! PROS: -Service is fantastic. The servers, despite being less than an hour from close, were super friendly, and they made me feel like I was part of everything. No clique-y vibes or disgruntled employees. Lots of joking and laughing from the staff when they weren't serving. -Food was delivered freakishly fast. We had barely got our beer when we had apps, and we had only managed to get the chili cooled enough for a few bites before entrees came out. The kitchen was really on top of things. -Really large selection of salad options. Their ranch was really delicious, but most importantly, all the salads felt like relatively "healthy" salads unlike many places that try to make them restaurant "quality" by stuffing them with cheese and other treat-y options. This could definitely be a place you could take someone who had to watch what they were eating for various reasons. -Prices were very, very reasonable, and we came away with a good meal without spending too much. -It was raining when we left, and staff was offering to walk people to their cars with their restaurant umbrella. Seriously, it was amazing. CONS: -No dedicated parking lot. There were decent available spots on a Thursday night at dinner, though. It just might be a few blocks walk. -As a chill night, it was okay, but I could feel this place feeling a bit crowded with tables too close together on really busy nights.

Drinks - my husband had a CBC IPA and I had a Spritzer. Appetizer - we went with the whipped ricotta. This was absolutely delish! The whipped ricotta was creamy, smooth, had a lemony flavor with celery leaves and parsley. Seriously, all of the flavors blended so well together! It was also topped with black truffle and honey (from a local vendor)! The sourdough bread that the whipped ricotta was served with was super fresh and warm (and from a local vendor as well)! Salad - we ordered a Caesar salad as well. I thought that it was super nice that they plated the salad on two plates for us knowing that we were splitting it! Super thoughtful! The romaine was crispy (not soggy), the croutons were freshly made, the dressing had the anchovy flavor that I appreciate in a good Caesar dressing, and the salad was topped with a little lemon zest! I will definitely return just for the Caesar salad! Meals - I went with the Rigatoni and my husband went with the Lasagna. We were informed by our server that the flour used for the pasta is imported from Italy and that the pasta is made fresh daily - LOVE this! The rigatoni was SO good! I love that the pasta and shrimp were all cut into smaller bites! The sauce was absolutely delicious! The flavor was like a mix between a thick tomato bisque and curry! Yum! My husband really enjoyed the lasagna as well! The lasagna was plated into little roll-ups which my husband really liked! Will definitely be back soon - we want to check out the patio once we have warmer weather too!

Thqt surprised me - thats 3 chicken breast at the store lol Each time I have sat at the bar - both inside and out (even in winter). Great ambiance. I love the bar inside - gives an upscale 50s diner with great design and mood. The outdoor bar in winter is very nice and warm - haven't had trouble grabbing a seat at either. Bartenders are nice, very attentive and knowledgeable. Parking is easy, there is valet offered. Overall - a bit over priced for generally good food, but a pleasant night out for date night or girls night out.

Everyone is super attentive, knowledgeable and just makes the whole experience feel really special, which is exactly what you want for something like a birthday dinner. A lot of people mention how consistent and professional the staff is, and I completely get why. The inside is also so nice. It has that classic, elegant vibe with white tablecloths and really pretty lighting, but still feels warm and not too over-the-top. It's one of those places where you instantly feel like you should be celebrating something. I've also been for brunch and their brunch menu is really good. Definitely not just basic options. REVIEW BY Avila.Eats on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube…read more Service: waitress was excellent and incredible friendly. Thank you Linda for a phenomenal dining experience. Waters were always full and the recommendations were like no other. Ambiance/Atmosphere: inside is a stunning old school bar and dimly lit steakhouse. Truly elegant and beautiful. This is a lovely date night and a special occasion is a must here. Food: 1. Tuna tartare is light and fresh. The tuna is soft and delicate. The avacado is creamy and adds a richness. The sauce is tangy but packed full of umami. Rice chips are light and salty I'd recommend. 7.5 2. Burratta is on crispy toast. The burratta is creamy and smooth. The jam adds a sweetness and the hot honey adds a beautiful spice. The pistachios add a crunch and flavor. I'd recommend. 8 3. Truffle tots aren't all that crispy. But soft and well seasoned. The Parmesan adds a salty nutty flavor. The truffle sauce is rich and creamy with a beautiful truffle flavor that isn't overly done. If they were crispy it would be a 10. I'd insist. 9.5 4. Bread service is alright. The sourdough isn't all that strong with flavor. 4 the chip thing is crunchy with an interesting flavor. Not my personally favorite. 3. The butter is very well whipped and smooth. The butter is really good. Butter makes it 5. Wagyu ribeye is incredible tender. Melts like butter and the tallow butter on top adds an extra layer of richness. It's well seasoned and very lightly as it doesn't need a lot. The beef does all the talking. It touches your tongue and melts away. I'd insist. 10. Dipping the ribeye in the truffle sauce from the tater tots adds an even richer flavor and Creaminess. It's very rich but worth awhile if you enjoy strong flavors 6. Onion strings are soft in a well seasoned and flavored onion strings. Best onion strings I've had although I haven't had many. Very good combo adding the sweetness of the batter with the rich buttery Wagyu 7. NY strip is tender but overly salted. You just taste salt. I wouldn't recommend. 3.5 8. The contender was strong with tequila but pushed the chocolatey coffee flavor strong. The bitter sweetness matched pleasantly for a nice sippable drink during drinner. I'd recommend. 9. Chocolate mousse light and refreshing. Decadent and smooth with. Rich chocolate flavor. Chilled like ice cream and not to sweet. I'd highly recommend. 8.5 10. Key lime pie is custardy and smooth. Rich and creamy. The lime flavor is prominent but not over done. The gram cracker crust is crispy but chewy. Buttery and slightly sweet. Best key lime pie I've ever had. I'd insist 10

My wife and I started dinner at 5:45 and didn't leave until 8:45 and it was a lovely evening. We chatted for hours, sampled some absolutely delicious food, and just generally relaxed. We had a lovely server, but to say it was just a single person would do the staff injustice. I feel like every single employee in the place waited on us. All of the staff were knowledgable and gave off pretty cool, chill vibes. Three hours is a long meal, but the pacing was superb. Courses didn't come out like beats on a metronome. Rather, the pacing was changed to meet the waxing and waning excitement for the next plate of an absolutely enormous amount of food. The appetizers came in at a measured pace, the mains slowed, and then deserts were served rapid fire. Between courses, staff might stop by for a quit chat before moving on to the next pressing matter. Lots of staff offered their thoughts on their favorite dishes or suggestions on how a plate my be best enjoyed. The whole experience lacked any pressure or pretense. There were fine dining touches such as replacement of my wife's napkin after she stepped away for a break, but it felt more like eating at a cool friends house than it did eating in the ballroom of a palace. Do you know what I mean? You aren't going to Agni for opulence. You are going for a cool exciting food adventure that you aren't going to get many places and certainly very few in Columbus. We had the Midwest Tasting Menu. 11 courses? Something like that. It was expensive, but I don't even mind it. We loved the "Health Sodas" that were curated by the bartenders. My wife had a coconut, lime, and guava concoction and I had some else that was sweet and fruity and tart. The first few bites of pani puri with spiced ginger and then the "happy meal" and salad course really set the tone of a kitchen that puts out excellent dishes with balanced flavors. For me, the best bite of the night was the Thai noodle salad. It was just a perfect amount of spicy with lots of textures. Mine was served with tofu since I'm not a seafood lover and it was the best tofu preparation I've ever had. My wife's favorite was the "soup and salad" course which is hard to describe, but I agree that it was delicious. The low point of the evening's food for me was in the seafood course. My wife loved her actual seafood, but my vegetarian replacement was a miss. They served it with a piece of baby eggplant that was nearly raw; crunchy and practically inedible. I will forgive them, but I think that one needs to be rethought. The end of the meal had lots of little fun touches. The bill comes in a giant lego minifigure head. The restaurant provides a souvenir menu that lists all the dishes that were tried. There were some curated, store-bought candies for take away. All-in-all, it was just an excellent experience. Do yourself a favor and try it, but go hungry and maybe don't try to eat every bite of every dish so that you aren't hurting by the end of the night.

First, we need to tell Avishar we are SO thrilled that his restauraunt graces our city! It's so special. It's a destination. It's unrivaled in its cleverness. I've had a handful of meals over the past 25 years that have burned indelible food memories into my brain... lamb tagine in Marseille; a Cretan feast in Istanbul; and now Joya's insane seafood jahl in Columbus. We've been to Agni before, but the current menu is so worldly with a few flavors new to us, yet familiar with the Midwestern vernacular built into each of the 12 courses! And let's be clear, it was more like 15 or 16 courses, given that some of the dishes had three or four components. Dan and I always try to sniff out fusion food when we travel, but we can't think of any place we've been to that is this broad in the interpretation and combination of cuisines and flavors. Simply fabulous! The cocktails are unique and the somm's wine suggestions of cava and a beautiful pouilly fumé were the perfect compliments. The service is top-notch and the ambiance is totally cool. A casual drop-in while exploring Barcelona turned into a full experience thanks to Independent Restaurant Weeks--and not just a few days... weeks. Now that's how you support your local restaurant scene. We happened upon a spot participating in the $45 prix-fixe menu, and without hesitation, we were in. Since we lean pescatarian/vegetarian, we navigated the menu accordingly--and honestly, the options held their own. First Course Options Included: * Gazpacho (chilled tomato, cucumber, olive oil) * Ensalada César with aged manchego and guajillo crouton * Sopa de Ajo (garlic soup with jamón, egg, saffron) Second Course Highlights: * Paella de Barcelona (classic mix with seafood and meats) * Paella Roja (beetroot sofrito, beans, cauliflower, fenugreek yogurt) * Salmon with leeks, olive tapenade, asparagus, mushrooms, crème fraîche * Chuleta (pork chop with a full composed plate) Dessert Options: * Tres Leches de Fresa (strawberry three milks cake) * Johnson's seasonal sorbet or ice cream * Plato de Quesos with figs, lavender honey, and rosemary crostini We opted for the pescatarian and veggie-friendly selections, and the standout for me was the Paella Roja--a creative, earthy twist that didn't feel like a compromise. Balanced, flavorful, and thoughtful. The structure of the meal was clean, no substitutions (respect), and paced in a way that let you actually enjoy each course without feeling rushed. YE Gurl says: Stumbling into Restaurant Week while traveling is a win every time--but Barcelona doing it for multiple weeks? Even better. It's a reminder that some of the best culinary experiences happen when you stay open, go local, and let the city surprise you.
