Stopped in to try Bake Me Happy on my lunch break as my coworker who is gluten-free spoke highly of them. The women working in the shop were friendly and provided good service. Bright, clean, and colorful space where you can find a wide selection of strictly gluten-free baked goods, grocery products and coffee drinks. I first ordered their eggnog latte which I thoroughly enjoyed. I've tried many variations of this, but theirs is one of the best as they really pushed the eggnog flavor. Then I ordered two of their brownies and chocolate brookies. The brownies were ok. Moist, but not the best I've had compared to some other gluten-free bakeries like the old Mrs. Turbo's or Good Cafe. The brookie was so bad I don't feel it was even fit to be sold. It had an extremely hard/stiff texture. For the price paid, I can't say that I really enjoyed the baked goods. Very friendly and welcoming establishment. Decorated so pridefully, in honor of pride month my daughter and I decided to stop in for the first time. They serve coffee to baked goods and even sell coffee grinds to take home and brew your own. All the sweets we picked were gluten free and amazing. The spicy peanut butter cookie was my favorite. The dark chocchy chip cookie was delightful and not too sweet. I would say they only have about 10-12 options available on the Saturday morning we stopped in baked goods wise in the showcase. I love the service here and the people are always nice and friendly. The ambiance is hippie like and has a lot of gluten free items you can purchase like teas, bread,and etc. I have been here plenty of times and never had any issues because Iam allergic to gluten so this place is safe for us. If you are looking for some gluten free pastries around the Columbus area, I would recommend to give Bake Me Happy a try. The bakery all started with the gluten intolerance population in mind, as the owner experience the journey with their family member. They do have two locations, one is on the South side of Columbus and the other one is at the Bridge Park in Dublin. The South side location is very open and the shop is also filled with some grocery items. All the pastries are nicely presented in the two large display case, along with a coffee station on the left. I spent a little time to browse through all the options and the staffs are super friendly and patient. My personal favorite would be the Hot Honey scone. It is soft and packed with diced bacon. I love both the savory from the bacon and slightly sweet from the honey. After trying a couple pastry items, I like the flavor is intact and the texture maybe the only differentiate from the regular one. read more

I love their products and how much gluten free items they have. It can be easy to miss, but it is located on a corner and there is free street parking. They rotate out some of the items they have each week so you can try a bunch of different baked goods. If you come later in the day, they'll most likely sell out of a lot of their popular stuff. I remember coming one Saturday afternoon and there wasn't much left. One of my favorite items is this lemon blueberry cake - ugh so good!! Excellent sweets, online ordering, proper distancing at the store - I was honestly super happy with everything about this place when I visited yesterday, and I'm excited to come back when it makes sense to get a coffee and hang out for a while. I don't need gluten-free baked goods, but everything I tried was objectively delicious - I've had gluten-free bakery stuff before from other places, and sometimes it just felt a little... off? Just a bit too chewy, or weirdly flavored, or it just had the wrong texture. None of the pastries I got had any of those issues. Everything was just... wonderful. My favorite was probably the donut muffin, which was rolled in cinnamon sugar. I ate it when it was a day old and it was great, so I can only imagine how good it would be fresh. If you want to find the worlds best gluten free bakery this is that place! I'm lucky enough to have them just down the street but it's also a dangerous place to live.. I could spend my entire paycheck here. They now expanded into a full coffee bar next door to their bakery. I thought the latte was good. It's about $3.50 for the regular. They have non dairy substitutes like almond and coconut milks. All the baked items are gluten free. Some are also dairy free, just pay attention to the labels. Beware they're still made with eggs. They also make bigger items like cakes and pies. It has a good amount of seating inside. I'm going to tell you a little story about the time I died and went to gluten free heaven after walking into Bake Me Happy on a sunny afternoon. I've been gluten free for 7 weeks (and don't see it ending any time soon) and the one thing I missed the most was baked goods. Give me all the cookies, scones, donuts, and cakes. I want them all! After walking in, I was greeted with a smile and after a good look around, I picked out an adorable Ohio shaped pride cookie, a zebra cake, a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt, and a cinnamon sugar donut muffin. I also got a lavender cold brew to help wash it all down. And don't worry, this wasn't all for me. I was sharing, even if it was hesitant sharing. I really loved how interactive the staff was during my visit. They were quick to let me know that the almond milk added to the cold brew makes it a little different. This is to be expected due to its consistency and I know that from experience. So, I love that they spoke up just incase I didn't know and I got something I wasn't expecting. Overall, they were very friendly. In the end, it was absolutely delicious. I love lavender lattes but this was my first time having lavender added to a cold brew. I was on cloud nine walking outta there with this drink in my hand. Now, when it comes to the treats I got... oh my goodness. If you didn't know these goodies were gluten free ahead of time, you sure as hell wouldn't notice after eating them. They were extremely delicious. I ate the donut muffin on the way to a meeting and it was so fluffy and soft! I was honestly surprised by its greatness. I think my favorite was the sugar cookie though. I got a good piece of it and was shocked at the yummy taste of the icing and how soft it was. I could get a dozen of them for myself, no lie. Now, while I didn't try the zebra cake or chocolate chip cookie, I was informed that they were absolutely amazing. Everyone was elated by the surprise goodies. Between the delicious lavender cold brew and the fantastic gluten free treats, I know I'll be back here soon. There's simply too much greatness here to not make this a more regular stop. I do not have a gluten allergy or intolerance, and I had never been to Bake Me Happy until last Friday. I just wanted to stop in and show my support. I wanted them to know after the awful racist threats their store received that they were loved and appreciated. So on a sunny Friday afternoon I stopped by. I was the only one in the store. The employee behind the counter was quick to greet me. I let her know that this was my first visit and why I was there. She said the community support had been immense. That made me so happy. I love Columbus and I love supporting our local businesses. I quickly picked out a couple of treats and went on my way. My fiance had both the regular rice krispie treat (gluten free of course), and the Unicorn bar. I picked both of those for him because I figured they would be egg free, you see he is allergic to eggs. He absolutely loved the Unicorn bar which is a fruity pebbles rice krispie treat. I had the donut muffin which was fine. I had also picked out the Lemon Blueberry Cream Cheese Bundt and let me tell you.....it was phenomenal!!!! It was moist and fresh. If brightness were a taste I would tell you it tasted moist, fresh, and bright. The blueberries popped in my mouth occasionally. It was just fabulous. The same day take-out that has been added during COVID is really easy - just visit their website and make sure you select the same day (as opposed to the order ahead they have had for custom/large orders for awhile). I received a text message when my order was ready, and when I popped in, I just provided my name and they brought out my box of deliciousness. Fast, efficient and friendly service! I still maintain that you can't go wrong with any of their baked goods here, and our giant sample on our recent order was no exception: a brownie, a cream cheese cut-out, a peanut butter burner, a dark chocolate chippie, a king dong, a zebra cake, and a cinnamon coffee cake muffin. Everything was delicious, moist, and flavorful. Our only sadness was that they were sold out of our favorite donut muffins... oh well, guess we will have to go again soon! Since going gluten free a few months ago I have missed baked goods. So today I went in search of some yummy baked treats. I stopped into Bake Me Happy and ended purchasing a couple cookies and a hot chocolate. We arrived around 10 am but there wasn't a huge selection-extremely limited. The cookies were pretty good, not super fresh or memorable. I did not like the hot chocolate at all, had an odd non-chocolate taste. By far one of my favorite bakeries in columbus. I am not gluten free but I don't think there is anyway you can tell a difference bc their stuff is so delicious. Some personal favorites are the carrot cake loaves, donuts muffins, zebra cakes, pumpkin rolls (seasonal/right around thanksgiving), brownies. We went here for an event, and got some things while we were there. The space is pretty big for a bakery, and very welcoming, with lots of tables and a little nook with easy chairs in the corner. And the kitchen in back is HUGE. I wasn't sure how kid-friendly their items would be, but there were tons of baked goods for K to choose from, and some drinks for kids in the cooler. We got coffee for Sweetie, of course, and I had water. Baby K had a King Don, and it was excellent. I had pecan pie, also excellent. I got a sweet potato poptart to go, for breakfast. We'll see- I hear it is great, but is it $6 great? I would not have guessed any of it was gluten free. Rich, tasty, good texture. Oh, and we had some bread rolls which I assume were also GF, and they were great too. Service was good. Prices aren't bad. They really seem to love what they're doing. Parking is easy, with some on the street and a lot across the street. Favorite place in Columbus! This place is amazing and the best thing that's ever happened to this city! And everything is gluten free!! Yayyyyyy!!!! It had only been open for a few weeks when I came here on a Friday morning around 10. It was actually kinda busy! There were groups of friends at some tables and folks coming in and out. Wow! I ordered a special for the day that was called a breakfast slab pie. It had potatoes, eggs, spinach, and scallions. Sooo good! I got it with some coffee and wow it hit the spot! They serve Thunderkiss here which is one of my preferred coffees! My friends ordered americanos which they loved. The drinks all came in unique mugs they had hanging up on the wall behind the counter. My friend also got a coffee cake muffin or something? Really good too! The space is really large and there are lots of tables and a good amount of natural light comes through. They had a ton of fun decorating as they put plants in coffee contraptions such as in a French press. It was cute! There was also a really huge wisk on one wall. Love it! I've also tried their pumpkin cookies which are really just sugar cookies. They had the same texture as a regular sugar cookie. Wow. I really loved that about it. I also tried the morning glory muffin which had cinnamon and perhaps walnuts on top. Also, very good. We also tried a chai bundt cake which I absolutely loved too! Keep in mind, I've come here multiple times so I've tried a lot so far! The chocolate chip cookie was the only thing that tasted just okay. Not my favorite but I'll try anything else on the menu. Prices are a little high but the portion size is generous and makes up for it. I've gotten a dozen cookies here before and you'll end up paying over $30 but who cares! It's gluten free and it tastes so good! Pattycake has a few gluten free pastries but the portion size is smaller and it's vegan, so the taste is a little different. I like it here a lot better because there are much more options. Furthermore, everything is gluten free. Everything. They even have a little freezer by the door where you can purchase waffles and lunches to try out! I'll have to try it sometime! Service was awesome! There wasn't a line when we came in, so there was only one girl at the counter at first. She was really nice and was honest about which pastries she really liked. The owners are sometimes at the front which is really cool! I always love when owners come out and interact with customers! Parking isn't a problem either. You can find street or spaces in the parking lot just across the street. Merion Village is mostly residential so I wouldn't see parking getting all that difficult here! I've stopped here twice and each time have experienced great customer service and quality of baked goods that I've ordered. High St. I am a bakery feen and have always had Resch's as my #1 spot but that has been bumped down to #2 because Bake me Happy is just that good and I enjoy my experience every time I go. Best soft blueberry cobbler granola I've ever had. Super soft and sugary. Small bag is expensive but worth the one time try at $7. Gluten free soft delicious Ohio shaped cookie $3.
