my first time trying their food, best cookies in all of Columbus! they were super friendly, and many options for coffee

Bakes by Lo recently catered cookies for a work event and did a great job! They offered wide variety of cookie options to appeal to all coworkers and even had allergy friendly options that they individually wrapped which is a major plus when catering for a large group of people. I personally had their frosted sugar cookie and it was delicious! The frosting was sweet but not too sweet or over powering and had a nice smooth and creamy texture . The cookie was soft and chewy on the inside but didn't crumble or easily fall apart. Definitely delicious!

Delicious dessert to my dinner at Crooked Can- frosting actually tasted like strawberry.

Located in the Center Street Market in Hilliard this place is a gem! Tons of delectable treats to choose from it was hard to choose! I went with the Galaxy Brownie and a Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie. My husband ate the majority of the cookie but I did get to try it and it was phenomenal. The Galaxy Brownie is bomb too! If you're the area it's definitely worth a stop!

This was the most delicious sugar cookie with buttercream icing I've ever had! The cookie was perfectly soft in the middle, with just the right amount of crisp edges. The frosting was SO delicious! You can taste the real vanilla bean, and it's a creamy texture with a wonderful little crunch from the sprinkles. I've had other cookies here before that were also good, they always have a nice variety to choose from. But they are a local favorite, so get there early before they sell out!

Got a Buckeye Brownie for a present from Bakes By Lo. OMG!! It was a huge brownie, nice and chocolatey with I believe crushed peanut butter cookie mixed with peanut butter chips and a design of a peanut butter frosting. Better strap on your big boy boots, it is quite filling.

Got cookies? Bakes By Lo does!! This is one of my favorite hidden gems! If you are a cookie lover, well you need to try this place! Bakes by Lo is located in the Center Street Market- Hilliard. I literally drive across town just to get a box of goodies for my weekend sweet tooth. The snickerdoodles are by far my favorite cookie from this place and the best I've tried this far. My second favorite is the oatmeal sandwich cookie which is basically two large oatmeal cookies slapped together with some very delicious buttercream frosting! Best in the city!! Let's not forget the frosted sugar cookie! These must be very popular bc the counter stays stocked with these large cookies with a few swirls of butter cream on top! The cookies are always fresh, soft and chewy and very flavorful. The butter cream is absolutely delicious but could be too sweet for some(not me though). The cookies cost around $3-4 bucks but worth it bc they are pretty large. Decorated cutouts are also available and my go to is the strawberry cut out. It's one of my top favs and you can taste the strawberry flavor in each bite. There are small pieces of real strawberry in the cookie. These are seasonal so you can only get these during late spring to late summer. The plain/vanilla cut outs are good but for me I get a slight floury after taste. The decorating skills are on point and there are always cute designs available on the counter based on the season or holiday. I typically buy them as gifts for my kids teachers etc. There are several other treats offered like scones, cupcakes and another varieties of cookies. I keep up with new offerings/designs etc in their social media pages. This is a great place to go if you need some sweets for work or home! You won't be disappointed!!!

Great cookies. Laura is quite the baker and artist. Her cookies are beautiful to the eye and pleasing to the palate. Give them a try at the Center Street Market.

Over baked and dry cake with no strawberry compote filling

I held my daughter's baby shower at the Crooked Can. We are required to use their vendors and Bakes By Lo is who I had to used. The cake was to be delivered to the event room at 1245 but when we got there at 1130 to set up it was already sitting out on a table uncovered. The top of it still needed finished and one of the workers was so kind to finish it up for me with the decorations I provided. I was so happy with how the finished product looked. It wasn't until we cut the cake that I noticed it had been baked too long and had a pretty significant dark brown edge around every layer and was very dry. I guess we are just used to having moist cakes. I had also paid extra to have strawberry compote as my filling in between the layers. We found a small amount of compote towards the middle of the cake and the rest of it was buttercream frosting. I have found great reviews for this bakery but most of them are for the cookies and not the cakes so maybe their specialty is cookies.

I visited dislocation which is part of a strip mall, with ample parking. The ambience is clean with plenty of seating, nice decor, and the service is attentive. There are many great choices. However, I was recommended the pistachio latte, as it was a warmer day I opted for the iced version. While I was waiting for the coffee, I decided to take a look at the sweet offerings and it seemed like it was much of the same of what has offered at similar venues. I chose the biscoff milk cake. First, the highlights the pistachio latte was indeed quite good, I will say I could've used a bit more pistachio flavor. Also, I was not asked how sweet I wanted it. I probably would've opted for a tad bit more sweetness. The Biscoff milk cake was really nothing to write home about. It seemed like the cream on top of it was overpowering the dish, and the cake itself was not flavorful. Overall, I do not see this as a contender for the top with middle Eastern cafés in the region.

**5 stars for the milk bread**…read more FUN FACT -- Tous Les Jous is owned by a South Korean food conglomerate group (same concept as Paris Baguette) and this is a bakery with Asian and European baked goods. I visited Tous Les Jours for the first time on Memorial Day (May 2026) at the Columbus location. I arrived around 2:30pm on a Monday. Surprisingly, they had lots of options available even with my late arrival because most bakeries run out of items quickly. They sell croissants, cakes, milk breads, macarons, drinks, etc. MY ORDER ($18.95 total for 4 items) -- Twist Donut ($2.95), Sweet Frank Roll ($4.50), Almond Croissant ($4.75), and a Whole Milk Loaf bread ($6.75). 1. Twist donut ($2.95) - sweet but not overly sweet. It tasted just like a regular twist donut that you'll find at other donut shops. 2. Sweet Frank Roll ($4.50) - good. Perfect savory option for breakfast or lunch. Soft and buttery bread base. I think $3 would have been a better price but the bread roll was good. I ate this in my car before driving back to Cleveland. It held me over until I got home. 3. Almond Croissant ($4.75) - my favourite item - buttery with some almond cream or paste inside. Topped with almonds. I don't like creamy things at all and I didn't realize that this croissant had a cream inside until I opened it but the cream is very light and it is more of a spread than a cream. 4. Whole Milk Loaf Bread ($6.75) - Fresh and soft. Definitely my other favourite item. This was all gone within a day, that's how good it was. Buttery goodness. The best bread. Overall, I enjoyed visiting Tous Les Jours and I hope to visit their Cleveland location soon. I ordered takeout so I didn't sit in but they have some tables and chairs available. I'll definitely be back if I'm close by the area again. Tous Les Jours means everyday in French and I wish I could visit them everyday...haha. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 101/250 total reviews in 2026 - 942 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

The brookie and the reverse were very similar, both very soft and gooey and over the top sweet. The chocolate marshmallow cookie was my favorite of the three because the cookie had a small amount of crisp on the exterior that added a dimension to what was also a very soft sugar bomb interior. None of cookies were bad. If you want a sweet indulgence, any of them will satisfy. Literally any of them. I could hardly tell them apart. The best part for me was the sauces that they add to the cookie before serving. That at least mixed up the flavors a little. The restaurant has a few tables inside and out. There isn't a public bathroom available, though, so don't plan on staying long. They have great hours, but maybe haven't figured out how to service the entire shift yet. On weeknights they are open until 9:00 and on Saturday they are open until 11:00. I originally tried around 9:30 pm on a Saturday night and the store was out of all but two flavors of cookies. When I came back on a Wednesday night at 8:00 pm they had most flavors, but were out of two. I don't know how common it is for them to be out of cookies, but 2/2 isn't a good look. If all you sell are cookies, you better have cookies when people want them. I met the same employee on both visits. He was very nice, quick to greet us after arriving, and clear on the menu limitations. I'm not sure if he is staff or ownership, but either way I think he is an asset to business. They have a sign that says they sell ice cream to go with the cookies. I peeked into the counter to see what kind of ice cream and it was mostly empty, so I'm not sure what the options are on that front. Maybe just simple chocolate and vanilla? Not sure. I think the cookies would go pretty well with ice cream and if I went back I would probably try that. Price is kind of steep for cookies (~4.55 each), but not out of line with what other fancy bakeries charge for their cookies. This is never going to be a frequent stop for me, but it was fun to try.

The reverse resees and cookies and cream are really yummy! The chocolate chip was not the greatest. Really sugary you could taste the sugar grains. Before someone comments it's because we ate all The cookies we literally only had a quarter of each cookie. Some that we didn't like as much just a bite so it wasn't from over doing it. They have a small shop tucked in a plaza, and their display of desserts and Turkish delight was impressive! The honey cake was my favorite, although the layer of honey fell off on our journey home It was slightly sweet with a layers of cake, cream, and grainy powder that was really good. The hazelnut baklava was tasty as well, and it was covered with a sweet cream which made it wetter than Greek baklava. Since they specialize in Turkish desserts and drinks, we also tried the Turkish coffee. It's served hot and was brewed very quickly. Since Turkish coffee is prepared without filtering, we were surprised by the layer of grounds on the bottom, but it's part of the taste and uniqueness of the coffee. It is on the stronger side so it paired well with the sweet dessert. I would like to try the coffee with some cream or milk next time. There is very limited places to sit since the shop is small, but it was empty when we were there so the service was quick.
