How great! I read about Love Riley in the 614 Magazine and was inspired by her story. I finally was in the area to try it out and I was not disappointed! The cookies were beautiful and moist, the buttercream frosting just melts in your mouth. The cupcakes just as much, they are the most flavorful and sweet. Some of the best sweet treats I've had! We got 5 cookies, and 3 cupcakes. I think it came to around $30. Our mom's and grandmas loved these for Mother's Day. Service was quick. The girl behind the counter was super sweet and able to answer all my questions.

This little bakery is adorable and has a lovely selection of beautifully decorated sweet treats! We ordered a custom shark cake for my daughter's 15th birthday and it came with the usual cute/chic Riley style. When I saw some of the other brightly colored cakes being picked up, it made me wish I had gone that route! But ours was great and matched kiddo's theme. We'll be back!

When I found out there was a new bakery in the area, of course I had to give it a try! I went there on a Saturday, an hour before closing and there was still a decent selection left. We got a peanut butter chocolate cupcake, junior mint cupcake, banana bread cupcake, and a cinnamon vanilla donut. The woman helping us recommended we let them sit out for 30 minutes before eating, because they were refrigerated. We made sure to do that, but it made the cupcakes a bit wet. Like the butterfinger on top of the peanut butter and chocolate cupcake was soft and mushy. I think they might have been better straight from the fridge. Overall I found the cupcakes to be a little too sweet for my taste, so next time I go there I'm going to try the macarons and truffles. And maybe a brownie, if they're available! LOL

I've stopped by a couple of times and have been very impressed both times! We got an assortment of St. Patrick's Day goodies the first time and a Tiramisu Brownie the second. Everything was delicious! The service is great- it wasn't busy both times I stopped by so I had lots of time to decide. The cases are so beautifully filled and the location is super cute!

I got my birthday cake from Love Riley and was blown away. I got the chocolate chip cookie cake which was so good and a total crowd pleaser. Their team is so sweet and easy to work with. I ended up changing my design and they were totally open to the change and were kind about doing so. The payment process is super easy. You pay ahead of time online and then you pickup your cake. The shop itself is really cute and I will definitely be going back to try other treats. The total cost of my cake was $170 and it was an 8 inch round.

Love stopping by @loverileycakes when I'm in the area! The most beautiful desserts I've ever seen at a bakery! Her cakes are absolutely gorgeous, and so is everything she makes to be honest! The flavors are so good! You can tell she puts SO much thought into her work! When @loverileycakes says to try the PB&J because it's her favorite, you give it a try, and YUM! Also, there is edible glitter on most items which makes it 100x better IMO. Go check out Columbus's newest bakery!

Unbelievably beautiful and delicious! I ordered via email, which was a bit nerve wracking, and I'd much rather order via phone. That said, the cake and cupcakes I ordered for my daughter's baby showered were nothing short of perfection. The cake was literally a piece of art, with an incredible level of detail. Even better - the chocolate cake was both dense enough and moist enough to make me want two pieces. The salted caramel cupcakes are literally divine - there is a little pocket of salted caramel in the middle and the buttercream is fluffy and not too sweet. I will be a repeat customer.

After seeing Riley's beautiful creations on Instagram, I was so excited to finally get to visit the bakery this weekend! I went in on Saturday morning and was greeted by two super friendly employees behind the counter. They were nice and knowledgeable and gave me some time to peruse before making my decisions. I finally decided on a vanilla macaron and frosted sugar cookie (Star Wars themed for May the Fourth) and a carrot cake cupcake. The macaron was so perfect with the screen printed photo of Yoda...such a unique creation! It was delicious too - I definitely wished I had gotten more than one. The cookie was fun and the carrot cake cupcake was lovely and tasty. Moist and not too dense. Everything I ordered was very reasonably priced as well. I will for sure be back. Thank you, Love Riley!

I asked for a cake with flowers on it and the door on the side!! Super cute:))

Absolutely amazing cake. I showed her a vision for the cake I wanted and she executed it perfectly. The vanilla cake with buttercream frosting was so good!!! The workers are so sweet and treated me great. The store itself is adorable. Everything you want to see when you walk into a bakery. Plus everything looks SO clean. Cutest bakery ever I'll be back !! Here's a pic of my cake.

I recently had the distinct pleasure of visiting Love Riley, a remarkable new bakery in Columbus, and I must say, the experience exceeded every expectation. This charming little establishment, founded and operated by the exceptionally talented Riley, has quickly earned its place as a standout in the local culinary scene. Riley, a young woman in her 20s, has created not just a bakery, but a sanctuary of sweet creations, all crafted with an evident passion and dedication that is rare in an entrepreneur of her age. The bakery itself is small but impeccably clean and inviting, offering a cozy and modern atmosphere. It is run by a young and enthusiastic staff, whose knowledge and energy add to the charm of the place. What truly sets Love Riley apart, however, is Riley's genuine ability to blend her talents as both a baker and a food critic. Her social media presence, particularly on TikTok and Instagram, showcases her incredible creations and provides insightful reviews of local eateries in Columbus--further solidifying her reputation as not only a skilled baker but also a trusted culinary guide in the city. The first thing that drew me to this bakery was the stunningly decorated cupcakes I had seen online. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by a refrigerated display case full of these exquisite confections. The staff was knowledgeable and quick to offer the perfect advice: allow the cupcakes to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to an hour to let their flavors truly come to life. I followed their recommendation, and it was absolutely the right decision. I began with the Carrot Cake cupcake, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The cake itself was perfectly moist, striking the ideal balance between light and dense. The sweetness was carefully calibrated--not overly sugary, but just enough to satisfy. The carrot flavor was unmistakably fresh and authentic, avoiding the artificial taste that so often plagues carrot cake. The cream cheese frosting, topped with delicate white sprinkles, was smooth and not cloying in the slightest. A small but appreciated touch was the judicious inclusion of raisins--enough to enhance the flavor without overwhelming the palate. I would rate this cupcake a solid 9 out of 10. My only suggestion would be to consider incorporating crushed pecans or walnuts to introduce a slightly more varied texture and deepen the overall flavor. Next, I indulged in the Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed. The cake itself had a rich, decadent chocolate flavor that paired seamlessly with the creamy peanut butter frosting. The frosting, while indulgent, was wonderfully balanced--not too rich, yet fully satisfying. The small chocolate chunks scattered on top lent a delightful crunch, reminiscent of the classic Reese's combination, but in a more refined form. This cupcake, too, earns a 9 out of 10 from me. The harmony of the chocolate and peanut butter was flawless--each bite felt like a perfect marriage of two beloved flavors. After these two decadent treats, I decided that I'd had my fill of calories for the day and would return tomorrow to sample the Oreo Cookies & Cream cupcake and Red Velvet cupcake. In conclusion, Riley has done something truly remarkable with Love Riley. She has not only created an exceptional bakery that serves some of the finest cupcakes in Columbus, but she has also built a business that reflects her commitment to quality, creativity, and community. It's clear that her talent extends beyond baking--she is an astute and thoughtful reviewer of local restaurants, which speaks volumes about her dedication to the craft of culinary excellence. I'm eager to see where her journey takes her, and I wholeheartedly recommend Love Riley to anyone who appreciates fine baked goods and a true passion for flavor.

When you walk in you pull a number and wait for it to be called. Almost felt like I had walked into the DMV. lol We peeked at the display counters while we waited and tried to have our orders ready when it was our turn to expedite the wait for those after us. There were a few shelves that displayed various cookies, breads and things you could grab and go. The place was clean and the process was orderly. They seemed to keep things in the front stocked. We probably waited about 15 minutes. I pulled number 90 and the were calling the last of the 60's. We ordered several items to try including the packzis with three different fillings since we went at the right time of year for these. We grabbed a cheese, strawberry and lemon. We also chose a cheese danish, maple cream stick, apple fritter, cherry turnover and a donut stick. Once we told them what we wanted the girl helping us went to the back and started filling our box. A few moments later she returned, we paid and headed out the door with our sweets. My husband didn't want to wait so we opened up the box once we got to the car and each took one bite from each of our selections. We didn't find anything wrong with our choices. The one thing I was thrown off by is how they make their apple fritters. I almost missed ordering one bc they look nothing like the apple fritters I'm used to eating. It was just ok in my book. Not something I would get again. The donut stick on the other hand is something I wouldn't miss next time. In fact I'd be getting more than one. It was probably my favorite item of all we selected. The cream stick dough was soft. The cream wasn't too sweet. The only thing I would have changed was to have the maple icing be a bit more maple flavored. The turnover was nice and crispy flakey but the filling was just ok. Maybe a different flavor next time if I would get one. How can you go wrong with a cheese danish? Warm this slightly and you're hitting a home run. This was a nice stop and we learned the difference between what we liked and loved. We know just what to get next time. I will say they have a great social media presence and do a phenomenal job interacting with their customers and community.

We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.
