The drinks were wonderful but dang were they expensive. Expect there to be a wait on a beautiful Sunday, we probably waited 20-30 minutes in line. I got a croissant and it was delicious. There were plenty of yummy pastry options to choose from. Nice outdoor seating. Find a spot and they'll bring your drinks to you. There is a small parking lot across the street. If it's full you have to look for street parking.
Came here for the honey butter latte and it lived up to the hype! The line was quite long (Saturday morning), but it moved pretty quickly. We also got a few pastries, but I don't really remember what we ordered. I usually don't prefer oatmilk in my drinks, but it came with oatmilk by default. It honestly added to the flavor of the latte! I highly recommend!
DELICIOUS! A little more pricey but so worth the flavor. First time trying this place and I love it! It was a savory coffee and was sip worthy.
I had a friend recommend this place to me a few years ago and I have been dying to check it out. She told me that it has the best pistachio coffee and oh was she right. This was genuinely one of the best coffees I've ever had. Perfect balance between nutty, creamy, and sweet. I also got one of the croissants which was delicious as well. It is definitely more of a grab and go place than a sit down and get your work done.
There is a reason why Pistachio Vera has a line out the door if you do not get there early enough on the weekends! BUT it's so worth it. It's a small little pastry coffee shop, but they do have a decent amount of seating outside. It's now a must that anytime I'm back in Columbus to get the Salted Pistachio Matcha -- I haven't tried all matchas in Columbus, but I truly don't need to. It's that good. It's really the salted pistachio recipe they have down and perfected -- so even if you're not a matcha person, get it as a latte and you won't be disappointed.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon while in town with friends, and the line was out the door. We waited about 20 minutes, but it moved pretty quickly. The atmosphere: This is a super cute café with minimal seating. The front display cases are filled with beautiful pastries, and there is a wide selection of macarons, cakes, croissants, cookies, and more. The food: I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte, which came with oat milk already included. It was a bit thicker in consistency than I expected (compared to other oat milks), which threw me off at first, but it was delicious. The matcha itself was one of the better ones I've had. I also paired it with a Lemon Lavender Macaron, which was delightful. The service: Kind and efficient service with no complaints.
Another required stop on your visit to Columbus. Located in German Village, the line out the door moved quickly and the reward was worth the wait. Along with our almond croissant, fruit tart, and mushroom quiche, we ordered pistachio cold foam iced cappuccinos. The quiche was moist with freshly sautéed mushrooms. The croissant was flaky with an almond filling while the tart was dense and berrylicious! You can taste the fresh pistachio in the cold foam.
I got the honey butter latte. Was kinda bummed about the oat milk though. I'm not a fan of the flavor and I asked if I could do whole milk but she made it seem like it was this huge hassle to put regular milk instead of oak milk so I just went with keeping it how it was. Didn't want to hold up the line. Rather than that the pastries were really yummy and coffee was okay. My friend got a matcha that she wished was a little sweeter because she specifically asked if the matcha was sweet haha. But will probably be back.
The egg salad sandwich was very fresh tasting and I loved the crème brule eclair! The strawberry matcha was unfortunately very thick, almost like a smoothie consistency and I did not enjoy it. I would go back and try a different drink! All of the pastries looked amazing
If you're not familiar with this place, I have two words to start you out: chocolate bomb. And if you don't like that, here's another: macaroons. Try them and you will have a great feel for what Pistacia Vera is all about! The craftsmanship that goes into the confections at this patisserie is exquisite. Memorable creations for the every day and also for special occasions. On warm sunny Sundays, it is not uncommon to see a line forming outside on the street as people wait to get in and purchase their selections. Stop in and take a peek at their well lit, pastry & bakery cases. Your eyes will likely likely be wide with delight. This place is a real guilty pleasure, well worth a visit, and it's easy to become a huge fan.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1. Adorable retail section as you enter 2. Mouthwatering pastries and macarons 3. Delicious + unique coffee & matcha options 4. Friendly and quick service 5. Best quiche in Columbus 6. Small yet mighty food menu 7. Patio seating with covered tables 8. Ideal location in quaint German Village My only wish and hope is they find a creative way to add indoor seating, especially since the winter months make sitting outside impossible. There's a takeout order section at the front of the store that seems to be born out of the COVID era, and if they cleared that out, it could be possible to add in a few tables (which I'm sure would always be packed). This is a gem, don't miss it!
Pistacia vera is one of my top coffee shops in Columbus. The lattes and matcha are both fantastic, and the pastries are even better. I love that their menu changes seasonally, it makes each visit feel fresh and gives me a reason to come back and try something new. Service is always quick, even when the line is out the door, and everything inside is spotless and tidy. While there's no indoor seating, the outdoor tables are a nice touch for enjoying your drink on a sunny day. Overall, I love this coffee shop and hope it stays around for a very long time.
I'm not impartial. I have a... sweet spot... for French pastries. PV never disappoints. Worth every penny. I'm grateful the location is a bit of a haul for me!
Pistacia Vera was recommended by a friend and what great recommendation. When we first passed the line was out the door we strolled around for a few minutes and the line was a little shorter. It was with the wait. My purchase consisted of pain au chocolat, two shortbread an orange brioche and a blueberry lemon taro tea. All of the items were amazing. I don't like items too sweet and the tea was perfect. The line moved fast and the staff were very efficient. There was outside seating as well as a few seats inside. I like that they support local small business. They were selling flowers from a local urban farm. read more

Overpriced and overhyped! Visited with a few friends when it was still chilly out and waited in line to order a mocha, a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate macaron. I think the issue is with the chocolate they use for the mocha but it had such an odd flavor that I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The croissant was fine and not memorable and I won't say too much on the macaron because I think I just realized I'm not really a macaron person so I can't fairly judge them there. The cafe is itty bitty and there is absolutely no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go situation. There are a few seats outside so hopefully you can snag a seat when the weather is nicer. Overall, I think there are a lot of other good coffee shops in Columbus that I don't see myself going out of my way to come back. read more

Great little shop with an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cookies, cakes, and tea ot coffee. The macarons are huge and perfectly made. Not too sweet, just right. Also less than I usually see smaller macarons go elsewhere. My husband said his BLT is the best he ever had, and credited it to the Herb sauce. Great service. Cute outdoor seating. read more
Pistacia Vera is always the place I stop into to get pastries for my parents on my way home to Cincy. They have so many amazing choices that are not only delicious, but good quality. The baristas also always have a smile which adds that nice touch. The only negative thing I have to say is that the lines get LONG, but it's not their fault they're so popular! read more

I've heard really good things about the matcha and it lived up to the hype! The iced salted caramel coconut matcha was perfect. I also tried the ham and cheese croissant and it was nice and flaky. The staff were friendly and the wait for my matcha was about 10-15 min. There are some parking spaces next door and across the street as well as street parking. It's a good thing I don't live nearby for my wallets sake. read more

We were referred here by a a nurse at the Children's hospital. The macaroons were so good. We ordered one of each. My fave was the strawberries and cream and the pistachio. I also got the pistachio cloud foam matcha latte. The matcha was strong, smooth and legit. The cloud foam tasted like slightly salty melted pistachio ice cream in the best way! The place was cute. Service was quick and kind! I would definitely go back! read more

Pistacia Vera is an excellent cafe. Their pastries all look professionally made. I had some delicious macarons and the iced pistachio cloud matcha, which is now my favorite matcha in Columbus. Even though there was a long line of customers, the staff was friendly and efficient The venue is small, but they have a nice little outdoor seating area perfect for summer sipping. I'm definitely looking forward to going back and trying more of their delicious pastries with another pistachio matcha! read more

We usually stop here when visiting Columbus. It's a bit spendy but worth it in my opinion. Every bakery item & coffee we have tried was great. Be aware it's outdoor seating only & limited parking behind the store, but parking has always been a challenge when we visit German Village. read more
I've been to Pistacia Vera before for pastries but i had yet to try their quiche which i heard was great.... & I will say, it lived up to the hype. I'm a quiche connoisseur and this one is right up there with Lindeys brunch quiche. I paired it with a chai latte which was the creamiest yummiest chai I've had in a while. I've also heard the matchas are great so I'm excited to try that out in the future! Service was quick and efficient, in such a small space. I appreciate that. The only thing that you could complain about if you're a Karen is the minimal seating options, however just walk on over to Katzingers and you'll be fine. Love Pistacia Vera! read more

We stopped by this sweets shop while on our way to the book loft and it was a pleasant surprise :) Their team was very welcoming and patient while we browsed the options. I got a raspberry macaroon and another cookie that I can't remember the name of, they were each great. read more
Ordered their Iced Pistachio Latte. It was a little steep for coffee at $9 IMO. But I would say that the latte was good, but I'm not sure if it was $9 good tho. The latte was a good balance between coffee and milk. The pistachio taste was very present in this drink. It'll hit you once you drink it. A little disappointed that their elote croissant was not on their menu (it's on their summer menu tho). I got the french onion croissant instead and it wasn't anything too special. read more

I am obsessed with Pistacia Vera! Their matcha is my absolute favorite. Whenever I visit other coffee shops, this is the standard I judge them against... and they simply never compare. Such a cute spot. The service is friendly, warm and consistent. It's always a special treat to come here! Just know if you come on the weekend, you're going to wait in line! But it is -- always -- worth the wait! And who's in a hurry anyway? read more

I ordered the Oatmilk Honey Butter Latte and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the BEST latte in Columbus. It's incredibly creamy with a custard-like consistency (yes, custardy and it works!) perfectly balancing a bold, coffee forward base with the rich, unmistakable flavor of honey butter. The honey butter isn't just a whisper in the background but front and center in the most delicious way. Service was quick, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the entire upscale vibe of the place just adds to the experience. Beware there is no indoor seating available but a few outdoor tables and chairs. They have an impressive selection of pastries and baked goods; everything looked amazing, and it was hard to choose just one but I opted for a strawberry danish. If you're a latte lover or just someone looking for something special and unique, you have to try this. I highly, highly, highly recommend it. read more

Always a fan of this place. Hadn't been back for years. Wish they still had seating inside. I don't understand it. Unfortunately, they got rid of my favorite (orange brioche) for some seasonal items like the ones I tried. Nice to see they are rotating new items but miss the brioche. The taro seasonal drink is fantastic. Would like to try the strawberry matcha next time. read more

Pastries are HUGE and savory ones are so well seasoned. The best quiche I've had in a long time. Cherry almond pastry is DELICIOUS. The space is so lovely and service is friendly. Drinks were a bit of a letdown. No almond milk, which was a bummer. Pistachio latte didn't taste like pistachio at all - and drinks are very pricy. read more
cute lil cafe in german village! really liked the outdoor space and patio they have, but they didn't seem to have any seating inside. service was fast and the blueberry lemon taro iced tea was surprisingly good. it reminded me of fruit loops in a drink and it was not too sweet which is a plus for me. i was surprised that the taro came through in the flavor so overall a well crafted drink! the macarons were a nice size given the price, but a bit sweet for me unfortunately while also not being too flavorful in all the three that we tried read more
I've been coming here more consistently over the last month and every time I am very impressed! Some of my favorite items are the pain au chocolate, honey butter latte, and the yogurt bowl. Everything is so fresh! The honey butter latte is addictive, not overly sweet with a little saltiness! The yogurt bowl is also great, I love the addition of the raspberry jam with the fresh fruit. Never time I stop in, I plan to buy a bag of their granola. The shop is so cute, with limited outdoor seating. The staff is always kind and they give great recommendations if you are indecisive. read more
