Almond, anise, and pistachio biscotti, lobster tails, black and white cookie
    Olivia W.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning on the way to Hocking Hills and so glad we did! Staff was super friendly. The owners son helped us, the whole place had a very family feel to it. We loved the lobster tails, they were stuffed! We also got a variety box of biscotti which all great. Make sure to go early, some of the flavors were already gone by 10. We will definitely be back

Why oh why did it take me so long to visit Auddino's?! Firstly, it's a very tidy little bakery with a humble storefront. They're very busy with large orders constantly going out the door and it makes sense: this is a legitimately amazing bakery! We went in very late morning on a Saturday without much of a plan. If you want the best selection, you have to go early. A lot was sold out when we came, but that was ok. Ended up choosing a lobster tail, a cream horn, and an almond cannoli (altogether about $15). I had to try everything when I got home, of course! First was the cream horn and the pastry was so delicate and the cream so light yet velvety. I said it was like eating a crunchy cloud. Next was the almond cannoli - I was especially excited because almond is one of my favorites and I'd never had an almond cannoli. It's easily my new favorite cannoli: crunchy shell, the almonds left such a nice flavor, but the cream was perfect because it wasn't cloyingly sweet. It's as perfect as a cannoli gets, in my opinion. Now for the shining star of the day: the lobster tail. Oh my word, where do I even start?! This is singly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The pastry is spectacular. The lamination on the layers? Insane. Crunchy perfection. But the cream. Oh my godddd the cream. How heavy the pastry itself was should have tipped me off, but it is filled up to the max with the most glorious sweet cream I've ever had (and I eat, y'all. Trust me!) How the cream doesn't make the delicate pastry soggy is like magic, honestly. I can't wait to go back. They have fresh pizza dough too and have pizza kits available ($12 for cheese and $15 for pepperoni). Such a good price! I want to try everything now. I can't wait to try everything now! Whole place is chef's kiss. Like carb heaven. Adding Auddino's lobster tail to my last meal list!

Update: We did not enjoy the tiramisu. It wasn't creamy at all and was pretty dense, felt sorta dry if that makes sense, it was lacking something ... wasn't very sweet was actually slightly bitter. My daughter said her twist donut was tough, almost hard. The only thing we enjoyed was the glazed croissant.

It looks like a warehouse that would only be open to restaurants but (surprise) it has a retail store inside!!! Great local bakery. The restaurant I used to work at would get its buns from here and the owners told me about their donuts and ever since I have been hooked. One of the best kept secrets of Columbus. Its simple , italian, consistent and delicious. Donuts, cookies (even real black n white cookies, cassata cakes, cannoli.... Even pizza crust. Love love love this place.

Wow, wow, wow! This is the best bakery I've been to in Columbus. I tried 3 different pastries, and I'll definitely be back to try more. The donut was baked to perfection - light and soft with the perfect texture and amount of filling. There are a few tables and chairs inside to sit and eat, if you'd like. They have breads and ingredients to create your own pizza, and then of course they have pastry options!

Amazing donuts and glazed croissants. Best Bavarian Cream filled stick EVER! Found out they make their own filling from scratch. If I could buy a gallon of it I would. Also they made an amazing German Stollen, is a fruit bread of nuts, spices, and dried or candied fruit, coated with powdered sugar or icing sugar and containing marzipan. It is a traditional German Christmas bread. I found this odd that an Italian bakery would have this until I was told the owner learned how to bake in Germany before he came to The USA.

Maple pecan twist is delicious. Soft with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecans to top. This was beautiful down and tasted fantastic. If you're a pecan lover this is for you. I'd highly recommend. Pumpkin morning bun was phenomenal. This is one of the best pumpkin pastries I've ever had. A true pumpkin flavor with a soft buttery pastry. I'd insist on this item. Crème Brûlée Eclair was good. The plums and cranberries were fresh and added a nice freshness to the almond base tart. I'd highly recommend. Chocolate bombe was great. The croissant was fine and not memorable and I won't say too much on the macaron because I think I just realized I'm not really a macaron person so I can't fairly judge them there. The cafe is itty bitty and there is absolutely no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go situation. There are a few seats outside so hopefully you can snag a seat when the weather is nicer. When you walk in you pull a number and wait for it to be called. Almost felt like I had walked into the DMV. lol We peeked at the display counters while we waited and tried to have our orders ready when it was our turn to expedite the wait for those after us. There were a few shelves that displayed various cookies, breads and things you could grab and go. The place was clean and the process was orderly. They seemed to keep things in the front stocked. We probably waited about 15 minutes. I pulled number 90 and the were calling the last of the 60's. We ordered several items to try including the packzis with three different fillings since we went at the right time of year for these. We grabbed a cheese, strawberry and lemon. We also chose a cheese danish, maple cream stick, apple fritter, cherry turnover and a donut stick. Once we told them what we wanted the girl helping us went to the back and started filling our box. A few moments later she returned, we paid and headed out the door with our sweets. My husband didn't want to wait so we opened up the box once we got to the car and each took one bite from each of our selections. We didn't find anything wrong with our choices. The one thing I was thrown off by is how they make their apple fritters. I almost missed ordering one bc they look nothing like the apple fritters I'm used to eating. It was just ok in my book. Not something I would get again. The donut stick on the other hand is something I wouldn't miss next time. In fact I'd be getting more than one. It was probably my favorite item of all we selected. The cream stick dough was soft. The cream wasn't too sweet. The only thing I would have changed was to have the maple icing be a bit more maple flavored. The turnover was nice and crispy flakey but the filling was just ok. Maybe a different flavor next time if I would get one. How can you go wrong with a cheese danish? Warm this slightly and you're hitting a home run. This was a nice stop and we learned the difference between what we liked and loved. We know just what to get next time. I will say they have a great social media presence and do a phenomenal job interacting with their customers and community.

We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.
