Had a great experience at Alchemy Cafe this past weekend. I had never been to this cafe before but when I was on my way home, I looked up places to get coffee which I don't drink but I wanted some kind of breakfast food and this cafe did NOT disappoint. The cafe is out a gym and it is an easy grab and go as well as made to order. I ordered two items, a smoothie and sandwich. The smoothie I got was the Breakfast Smoothie that comes with banana, blueberries, almond butter, oats, ohio maple syrup, housemade almond milk. It was delicious and would definitely get again. I also an Egg Sandwich that comes with vegetarian, egg souffle, havarti, zesty cashew cream, arugula, focaccia. Both very good and would definitely get again. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more smoothies in the future. read more

The service is always really good & the staff very helpful with understanding the menu and making selections. Like the space always clean, good area to work, great sunlight and background music. Reviewing a recent visit. Egg sandwich- 3.5/5. It was interesting. The sauce was like a hot sauce (I liked the spice) but it oddly reminded me of a buffalo chicken egg sandwich because of it. All the elements were done well... great foccacia, juicy/fluffy egg. I just enjoy the flavor enough to order again. Chai tea wt honey- 4/5 solid tea. Only negative was the Temperature, it was warm vs hot, but the flavor was delicious. Not a huge fan of the smoothies, but the coffee and teas are typically good. It was my first time getting food. The candied pecans and maple pecan goat cheese on top were out of this world mixed with the cabbage, kale, and sweet potato squash was def an amazing bite. We added smoked salmon to it and it was just kind of the cherry on top of the Sunday if you will. Added avocado as well. If I had to say something negative, I'd say that the dressing to dry ingredients was off. It was a bit dry. But very yummy. The turkey tzatziki sandwich was SOOOOOOO good. Love coming here for a short atmosphere change for studying. It's a cute environment that I can get with done in with gear drinks and food, outlets and WiFi so there's a lot going for me to study here. Smooth music! The food here though is really solid. A disappointment. I was looking forward to trying this, because I love lox and bagels and they had several menu items that seemed like that. Salmon toast, and a salmon club. The menu descriptions were impressive. It was hard to find. I mean, my GPS took me right to it, but once I had parked, it was hard to figure out where to go into the building. The signage is very subtle, and almost invisible from the street or the parking lot. Look for the Loft Fitness glass doors, and go in there. The restaurant is very open plan, and is basically in the lobby for the fitness place. Service was friendly, but disorganized. It took 15 minutes to make me a cold sandwich on toast. I was feeling hungry, so I got what I thought would be the bigger of the two salmon menu items, the club sandwich. It was small. Uninspiring bread, looking like toasted Meijer brand. Decent salmon, but not very flavorful. Very unripe, plasticky tomatoes. Some nice greens. Supposedly a caper mayo, although I couldn't taste it. I got a tahini Vietnamese coffee, which was OK, but I love Vietnamese coffee and this was the worst version of it I've ever had. Plus, all of this was quite expensive. I mean, $20 total, normal nowadays for a decent meal, but for the size and quality nowhere near worth it. We are spoiled with good restaurants in Columbus, there is much better food out there than this, there is much better healthy food out there than this. Glad I came by myself. I can't say enough about alchemy. They set the bar across Cbus for fresh healthy drinks and smoothies. I don't get down often to this location but anytime I'm near I'm headed to Alchemy. It's so good that even my two kiddos ask to get smoothies there and I know it's healthy for them. I hadn't been to Alchemy Cafe in probably 5 years. I went with my partner and friend from out of town for a light lunch. I had the Banh Mi, which was on great crunchy bread, had a bit of heat, lots of fresh micro greens, and was a generous portion. It was a bit pricey ($13) but most sandwiches are in the 10-15 range these days. Sign up for their rewards account when you pay to save money on subsequent purchases. My partner has the egg sandwich, which had a great sriracha mayo and fantastic focaccia style bread. It was also an excellent portion and a bit more affordable ($9.5). The pistachio matcha latte (that comes with oat milk) was flavorful but a bit sweet for our tastes. The best news is anyone who is dairy free or has a dairy allergy has a ton of options on the coffee/latte menu. No need to add the extra $1 or more for oat milk like other coffee shops. Overall, I enjoyed the freshness, portions, and friendly service we received and will definitely be back. read more

Great. I go all the time. I'm a regular... they still don't know my name tho or seem to recognize me when I go in but I still need to eat here sometimes. I've had almost everything. My top favorites; BLT *add a fried egg. you'll thank yourself later for listening. Sweet potato fries Mixed protein balls in their to-go area Breakfast 2 shake *with plant based protein I also like the kale salad They have new seasonal things a lot. Didn't realize this lil cafe existed so close to my house. Was in the mood for a good breakfast sandwich and this showed up on Google. I knew there was an alchemy in grandview but didn't realize parsons too. Driving by we definitely missed it since it's in the lobby of a mixed use building. Ordered a few things over the phone for carry out including two toasts, an egg sandwich and a smoothie. Staff was really friendly. They were out of focaccia that day so I got my egg sandwich with sourdough instead. Lox toast was incredibly tasty. Love the capers and onions. The egg sandwich was great too... the sriracha aioli gave it some nice heat. Do wish I got to try the focaccia so will have to come back. The only toast I wasn't super impressed with was the avocado toast. Tasted bland - needed some salt and seasoning. The bread it was on was not toasted long enough so it just tasted like avocado spread on a piece of bread. My husband enjoyed the pb power smoothie. I'm a huge fan of Alexis Joseph and have been to Trism. This was my first time at Alchemy though. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon close to 3:30 and there were a few people on computers or grabbing smoothies to go. It's attached to a fitness center, so a lot of people were coming in for that as well. The guy at the counter recommended the Dragonfruit smoothie which had dragon fruit, banana, pineapple, coconut, lime, salt, and orange juice. It wasn't overly sweet and was very delicious! My friend got the same thing and then my other friend got the blue majik, which was more like a juice than a smoothie. It had almond milk, pineapple, banana, coconut cream, lime, maple, and blue majik (kind of like algae). It tasted a lot like a melted juice form of mint ice cream. Not my thing but it was unique and interesting. I also got a tumeric super food donut which was delicious! They have a lot of gluten free items here, like no bake stuff as well. My friend decided to snack on pesto avocado toast. The avocado has a creamy texture, so I'm sure they've added something to it to make it that way. She got it on gluten free bread and really enjoyed it. It's a nice, aesthetically-pleasing space. Lots of white with light colored furniture, plants on the walls and tables. They were playing a good mix of 90s and early 2000s music, such as Hootie and the Blowfish, Destiny's Child, and Goo Goo Dolls. Service was great! The workers are super nice and gave great recommendations about their favorites. I really like both Trism and Alchemy a lot. Their menus look pretty similar although their purposes seem different. They're located in different areas of town to appeal to all kinds of people too. I'm not in this end of town much so I'm not sure when I'll return but it's a great place! I like it better than Zest. I also really like the logo. It looks almost similar to the Zen Circle, an important symbol in yoga. Maybe because the business is all about fitness? Very cool! read more

Cute place to stop for coffee and snack. It has parking which is very convenient. I got a honey latte and a lox toast. The latte is very good and lightly sweetened, perfect for a pick me up in the morning. The lox toast is very fresh and taste so good. The smoothies look a bit pricy, average about 9$+. I've worked across the street from Alchemy for the past year, but finally just trying it out - a great little gem in Columbus! Alchemy is right across the street from Nationwide Children's Hospital, so easy to pop over for lunch; they also have a large parking lot, which is not common. The restaurant itself is a huge space with tons of seating, both indoors and outdoors. The setup is a little confusing, since they share their space with The Fitness Loft, but once you find the counter, it's smooth sailing. My sister and I love a good smoothie bowl, so we were eager to try Alchemy's take. I went for the blueberry almond butter bowl (best seller per the cashier) - with almond butter mixed in with the acai and topped with banana, granola, and coconut, it had such a refreshing flavor that really filled me up. Only wish it had some almond butter on top too! My sister got the nutty dragon, which she raved about - the puffed quinoa was a unique topper, but paired with the cacao nibs, brought together the bowl. We both were impressed with the bowls - they filled us up and were so beautiful and fresh! A great start to the day. I ordered a drip coffee to pair, which was tasty, but did have some grounds in the bottom, so not super great. My sister got the cold brew, which was reasonably priced and super delish. Overall, Alchemy is a great spot for a quick, healthy, fresh lunch or breakfast. They have an awesome selection of smoothie bowls (albeit a tad pricey), so I'm super stoked to try them all! The egg sandwich is amazing!! When I say burst of flavor, it's so much flavor. The bread is fresh and you can tell, it's a beautifully toasted focaccia. The cashew cream is amazingly tasty. It brings the entire sandwich together and provides just the right amount of spice. The havarti is mild but still adds the extra depth needed for this sandwich to be perfection. And they picked the perfect veggie with the arugula. Its fresh, peppery, and pairs incredibly with all the other elements of this sandwich. An unexpected surprise, considering I had no idea Alchemy was there and I know the area very well. Along the backside of the Crest, you'll see what seems like a normal strip-mall-y type group of businesses, but the inside of Alchemy isn't quite that. The restaurant stretches longgg ways, with limited casual seating at the front near the windows, and the counter at the back. A wall of live plants and white walls make for a fresh and lively atmosphere. We sat pretty close to the door and I'm happy to say I wasn't cold. I ordered the iced honey latte, which beckoned with it's lavender-infused goodness. A little sweet, but not too sweet. I finished it in two minutes, and I can't wait to go back and try some of their other infused coffee concoctions. I also ordered lox toast which hit the spot. Not too much or too little salmon, avocado, capers, and onions. YUM! The staff member who took our order was quirky and friendly and fun, and the whole experience was pretty enjoyable. I've heard a lot about Alchemy and I've seen countless photos of their beautifully colorful food so I finally ventured over for a bite. I was pleased to find a huge parking lot at the back of the building and was easily able to find a spot. I walked in to find a bright environment, very open and inviting. I loved the giant plant wall and immediately felt comfortable being in a new place. It was very calming. I made my way over to the counter where a giant menu displays all of their smoothie bowls, juices, avocado toast, etc. The gentleman at the counter was so very friendly. I let him know it was my first time visiting Alchemy and he gave me a few suggestions. I ended up ordering the pesto avocado toast and the purple coconut bowl. I knew immediately that I had made an excellent choice! After eagerly waiting for my order and getting cozy at a table with my sister, I heard them call my order and jumped with excitement to dive in to my meal. Everything was so vibrant and tasted SO good. The avocado toast was packed with flavor. The pesto was smooth and creamy and it went very well with the avocado. I may have to try this at home now! My purple coconut bowl was heavenly. The banana, coconut shavings, and granola added fabulous texture and the peanut butter dolloped on top was pleasant. It firmed up from the cold of the smoothie to add even more texture to the bowl. I seriously could not put it down! Before I even finished I was figuring out in my head what I would try the next time I stopped by. I love how healthy and refreshing everything is here and will definitely be returning on the regular. I've been here a few times over the 4 years they've been open. As a parent who frequently has appointments and a handful of stays at the main nationwide children's location, it's so nice to have a healthy choice so close to the hospital. One can only eat hospital cafeteria food or snacks from their shops so many days in a row. Alchemy is like a breath of fresh air. Good bread, fresh greens, real whole foods. They offer a variety of smoothies, smoothie bowls, toasts, and sandwiches. There's coolers with juices and other beverages, and pre-made salads and sides. The menu is pretty straight forward, and I haven't had anything I didn't like yet. I know it's limited, but the birthday cake smoothie is to die for! I also really like the blueberry cacao. The toasts do not skimp on toppings; I have to ask for them to go easy on the almond butter when ordering for the kids because in little hands, it's going to get messy. This juice bar shares a space with a gym (which is a real plus if you have a membership there) so the juice bar is the left side of the building, entering from the back parking lot. And it's corolful! From the furniture to the smoothies! There are tables with comfortable chairs, a bar with bar stools, and the must have couch, for those who are pretending to work. (or maybe that really is your work style, I can't keep up with the modern workstations). I ordered the blue majik because the picture I saw on yelp was so beautiful. Finally a local café with fresh tasting food at a decent price in Cbus! Coming from California, this café makes me feel more at home. But more than the food, the service really made my day. I went in for the first time alone with my 2 year old twins, rather than with at least one other person. When more than 20 mins passed waiting for food, my littles started to lose it bc they were so hungry. When our food came, one of my kids' meals hit the floor off the tray right away. Alchemy was in lunch rush, and no one seemed to have time to acknowledge me. I was stressed and if you're a caregiver or parent you might get what I'm talking about! I asked for a new toast, but no one remade the meal--which caused me to go up to the counter again after about 10 mins--half panting, sweating and holding two kids, one who was very hungry. By the time I got up there (which isn't far lol) I couldn't get my thoughts or breath together and I'm sure I sounded more aggro than I aimed to. Still, one employee in particular was just so sweet and responsive. We got the toast really quick and all was fine in the end. I really appreciate the simplicity of what she did. You never know what stress a person has going on--and I truly appreciate her kindness. She should train all the employees in customer care. We will definitely be back, with more adults next time to rally the kiddos. Thank you to that employee, I have seen her often at the register. She really made a hard day better. They have more than 20 it looks like so it can be hard to choose if you've never tried any of them. It's about $7 for a regular size which is a good amount. There's also stuff to eat like vegan donuts. It has sandwiches with many vegan choices. The hemp and hummus sounds really good so maybe next time. It's located in the Fitness Loft which is a trendy place to work out if you have tons of money. The building is very clean and nice. It has lots of natural light and has a good wifi connection. I absolutely CRAVE this weekly. I usually treat myself on Friday mornings to some Ubereats. Of course working from home right now creates a need for some form of excitement, right? I am not lying when I choose this over my own breakfast cooking on Fridays (I went to school for culinary arts so that's saying something!). I also like to get their creamy avocado lox toast. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive salmon on it but I would just figured they were out. None the less, the avocado toast can be made with gluten free bread!!!
