First, this place is gone way downhill. The food is stale and unappealing. The new staff puts off hostile masculine energy, and they have bad attitudes. I bought a coffee there this morning against my better judgment and boy was I sorry. Next time I'll stick to home-brewed coffee. A thousand times better, and no grimaces or back talk. read more

After ordering and sitting down you realize how dusty and dirty this place is. It definitely created a negative impression from the start. The staff was disorganized. I had no idea when or where our drinks and food would come up. Latte was good, americano was terrible. The food was absolutely not worth the $16 per sandwich. I would not recommend and will not be returning. read more

This is the the best pre or post Farmers Market place. The coffee cart in the market always has a long line, so I prefer to come here first, have a relaxing cup of coffee before heading over to the market. They are always fast and efficent with good coffee and pastry options. read more

Love this place. I always get the frozen hot chocolate and the last time I was there, I tried the Napolean. So good!

Nice ambience inside & out. Can get very busy. Good variety of desserts. Limited parking.

My go-to study spot! Their drinks are yummy and quick, friendly service. I went around 11am and there was plenty of seating and outlets to charge my laptop. They have lots of drink options, desserts, and breakfast items. They also have plenty of outdoor seating under umbrellas. read more

Great cafe with plenty of places to work and visit both inside and outside. Sandwich was tasty and hot (by request). Lots of power outlets inside with a shiny interior vibe. This isn't a friendly local cafe, rather more a student style coffee house with an expectation of people hanging out for a while. The pricing is very odd (big muffins for under two dollars, smaller sized sandwiches served with no side for thirteen dollars?) but for a local place to go where you can spread out this is reliable and clean. read more

I come to this location quite often. Not because the food or drinks are amazing but because the prices are decent and it provides a quiet, cozy workspace if you don't have access to a library or office to work in. I used to love the dark chocolate mochas here (and I still think they're decent), but after trying several other coffee shops in the Beaverton area and downtown Portland, I realize that their coffee is pretty mediocre. They're sandwiches are decent but their cakes/pastries are not that good. However, if it's close by and you need stable wifi, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly. Overall, this place is not bad. I'd much rather support this than Starbucks, but there are other local coffeeshops that are much better. read more

For starters, it drives me nuts when coffee shops serve an Americano in a damn coffee mug! Not only does it make me feel like I'm drinking Folgers but it ruins the crema as well. But PLEASE PLEASE, when I ask you to make my Americano in a traditional latte cup, don't refuse and give me some BS about it being for my safety! I guess Beaverton isn't Portland when it comes to coffee! read more

Sunday afternoon and inside seating was full, chose to sit outside was taken back by the high prices and odd price points, even for a chai it was almost $4! There was no welcome or greeting from the employees. Outside seating was nice but the wifi was very spotty, and chose to not even use it after some time. There was one employee who came to clean up and check in the areas outside while I was there multiple times. It did seem like there were hidden outlets outside too if needed though read more

First timer here! Well there was about 3 people in line. The flow was going well. I ordered my drink a small americano with vanilla. As I got my drink I pulled my mask down to try it and I got screamed at literally SCREAMED at by an employee to put my mask back on!!! I was surprised by how loud she was! I don't appreciate being screamed at as if I were a child! I get it everyone must wear their mask but if I literally at that second pulled my Mask down to try my drink to make sure it was made right! So frustrating! To top it off the drink (Americano with vanilla) was horrible No vanilla and as bitter as ever!! Please show respect to your customers!!! Everyone is going through this pandemic together! read more

Had some work I needed to do on a Sunday and ended up here in my search for public internet access after the libraries closed. I got a turkey sandwich and an iced coffee, and both were very good (I was a little sad they don't do decaf except for espresso since I like the taste of coffee but try to avoid caffeine). Service was quick and the shop itself was nice and cool on a hot day, as well as very clean and overall pleasant to sit in. There were also plenty of spaces for plugging devices in, although the ones embedded in the tables won't work for MacBooks where the charger block is bigger. Highly recommend! read more

Super interested since this spot seems busy all the time and good reviews but thus far coffee was MEH and food selection was ok? Not sure what the allure is but definitely will try again and keep inside radar since I'm hoping to keep it local and help support this neighborhood coffee spot? read more

This place is a mixed review of really rude teenage servers who act like their being held against their will to serve you coffee-and a beautiful atmosphere. The place is fun to hang out in, but the servers who are probably 15, just text on their phone, ignore you, and act like it's a burden to serve you. Coffee is usually cold or the order is wrong, but the pastry's and food are top notch. 3 stars because that's what's a moody teenager would do. read more

Ava is an overall solid coffee spot in downtown Beaverton! They have pretty expansive hours as well which is a plus. I tend to get their Spanish cream latte when I'm there but I'm also partial to their different mocha options. Their cakes are pretty good as well. I love their outdoor space they have as well. read more

I was going here for a while because it's a local coffee shop and I assumed higher quality than Starbucks. The first handful of visits were positive, but over time the quality of the coffee went downhill. On the last 2 visits I've ordered an oat milk latte, which ends up being 99% oat milk. In order to taste any espresso you have to pay for extra shots. When I asked my drink to be remade it was done correctly, but I don't want to correct a barista every time I visit. No latte is worth $9. I really wanted this to be my go-to coffee shop, but it looks like I'll have to sadly find another. read more

I only come here for their dark or white chocolate mochas which I cannot find another shop to put up one as good as theirs. I was just here and the experience is great! there was a really kind girl making sure I got my order exactly how I wanted it! As I was getting ready to leave because the cafe was closed ,A lady came in and seemed upset that the shop was closed. And I get it it's frustrating looking forward to something, youd think the lady would go on with her day, unfortunately that wasn't the case, She brought out her husband to harass the young girl into making them a drink. If the girl that was closing sees this Im very sorry and I hope you're doing okay, overall my experiences here are very nice! read more

My mask and how I was wearing it was just fine at the many stores/ restaurants that I have patronized that very day and in the past several months - NOT ONE has refused service because of it. But today, the cashier refused to take my order, because she didn't approve of how I was wearing it - even though it was CLEARLY square on my face! It just reaffirms all the reasons why I haven't visited it in over 2 years and why I only go to the Progress Ridge location, which also happens to be closer to my neighborhood. I just find it all so odd that the same business can have locations that differ so greatly in customer service or lack there of. So if you are a masochist that enjoys being treated like absolute garbage by condescending staff, go to this Hall location in Downtown Beaverton - You'll love it! Tips for Management: Figure out what the Progress Ridge/Barrow location is doing right, duplicate it else where and fire all staff that refuses to do so. Clearly post what your policies are if they are OUTSIDE of what the state mandate is. This is the only way to ensure that your customers don't feel mistreated and angry when your staff refuses to take their order. I've been to the Barrow location a couple of times during these mandates and your staff there didn't take issue with my mask. read more

Open late. Great coffee, tea, italian sodas and other drinks. Great desserts and some sandwiches as well. Great ambience; you see people who've setup monitors and such and some people with books, which tells you that people hang out here for a while, and while people are chatting it never seems too loud. Open late which is the only time I've ever gone. The owner and workers seem chilled out. The downtown Beaverton area is coming up nicely which gives it a positive vibe. Discovering that this place has smoothies and breakfast sandwiches made me give it another go... First and last attempt. I was so excited seeing a description of what sounded like a delicious sandwich with a croissant, white cheddar, ham and veggies. I figured how could one go with that delicious combination?!? I also ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. I was pretty disappointed seeing that they use Island Oasis fruit syrup to make their smoothies. I know they are a coffee shop but that stuff tastes like plastic. I figured at least now I know but the sandwiches would be great after I got them home to enjoy with my husband. There were two ladies at the counter taking turns taking orders and making drinks. I waited and waited and waited. I did ask one of them for a bag - figuring I would use it for the sandwiches. And I waited, and waited and waited....A REALLY long time. Finally one of the girls asked if there was anything they could help me with. I said I was just waiting for my to go sandwiches. I was then informed I needed to go to the other side of the store to pick them up.... When I got there I discovered the sandwiches on plates for in store were sitting at the front...seriously?? It was not THAT busy in there. I ask the guy for them to go (like I said when I ordered). I was even more pissed when I started eating my sandwich - the red onion alone was (NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING A BIT) a half an inch thick! read more

Ava Roasteria - Smoothie and a breakfast sandwich to go. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Beaverton, Oregon

So disappointed, dry, stale, overpriced and misrepresented. This is not a cannoli. It's some heavy cream, piped into a puffed pastry, drizzled with semi sweet chocolate and sugar. No flavor other than the bitterness of the chocolate. This shouldn't be sold as a cannoli. This place is just more Portland ego about nothing special. Get it together. read more

***HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE*** We found your guys Coffee place on yelp and Google reviews because they were amazing we don't go to Starbucks and Dutch Brothers we like to go to places where we know the coffee is going to be good and Customer Service is going to be good. Unfortunately tbis day that didn't happen. We went to the Ava Roasteria at 4655 SW Hall Blvd, Beaverton, OR 9700 First we went to the store and the girl at the cash register didn't even acknowledge us didn't even smile and kept staring at us. My fiancé was the one that had to acknowledge her and say hello to her. And then on top of that I asked her what type of smoothies they had and she gave me a blank look didn't see anything turned around and checked the flavors of the smoothie. She went back and started screaming out the orders of the smoothies different type of flavors they had I probably heard maybe two flavors out of five of them. And when I asked her what type of flavors are the most popular she told me she didn't know and give me a blank look like I was annoying her. My fiancé was the only one they got coffee I was so mad at the service I didn't want to absolutely anything. What was the most frustrating part is this employer looked extremely pissed off for no reason it felt like she didn't want to be there. I mean you should have the responsibility to greet your customers and actually ask them how they're doing especially when we're trying to give you our business. Personally I don't go to Starbucks or Dutch Brothers or Black rock coffee places but their customer service is amazing and I have had no problems there at all. But when we went here this is absolutely horrible customer service and unfortunately we won't be coming back here. I'm not sure if you guys can take a look at who's working this day. But that girl definitely needs extra training about Customer Service. I forgot her name. But she was a girl probably in her mid 20s and has freckles on her face. And by the end my fiancé was the one they had to say thank you very much and you have a good day. She didn't absolutely say anything to us. Unacceptable customer service and this needs to be changed otherwise you guys are going to lose a lot of business. And I don't want that to happen. Thank you I hope this helps. And I hope this gets fixed. read more

I was in search of a coffee shop with outdoor seating and landed on this place. I had a matcha latte with oat milk, and my friend had a vanilla latte. The place was packed on a late Sunday afternoon! Most of the people inside were working on their laptops! There was only one other person ahead of me in line when I arrived, and it did not take the barista long to assist me and make my drink! My friend had already secured a table in the back patio, so as soon as my drink was ready I joined him! The tables were nicely spaced out, and there was also a fire pit! There are probably only one or two parking spots at the actual coffee shop, but there is plenty of street parking nearby! The place had a nice vibe to it, so I will probably be back soon! read more

Had a surprisingly awesome fresh breakfast sandwich here! You can really customize what you want on it too. Lovely selection of pastries and fast efficient service. Decent coffee. Nice outside seating & Inside the tables have good plug ins for your wi-fi devices. (though not functioning at the back table we sat at). Wi-Fi was super slow and had to create a hot spot but everything else was great so we didn't mind. read more

The atmosphere in here is probably my favorite part of this coffee shop. It is chill and relaxing, and a nice location to just sit and hang out for a few hours doing work. The coffee and other drinks are good. It's been a month since I've stopped in but from what I remember, the coffee is on the lighter side. The pastries look absolutely amazing as well! My only complaint is that I was not treated with the most positive service last time I went. I asked them if they have brewed decaf (most places do not), and when she said no but that i could order a decaf americano, i agreed to it. For some reason, I felt like the cashier was frustrated by my request for decaf based on her facial expression and change of tone. My friend also noticed her reaction and we both walked away feeling confused as to why that became a negative interaction. I think what bothered me most is that I don't order decaf things to be inconvenient; I order them because I have an abnormal heart rhythm that could kill me and consuming caffeine triggers it, but I love to still have my coffee since it helps me feel like a normal and happier person. So to be treated like I was a nuisance over my order was kind of hurtful. Hopefully this person was just having a bad day and that customers ordering decaf in the future isn't something that will phase them. Otherwise, this is a solid coffee spot and I would still go back here! read more

We ordered from uber eats. The coffees (iced) and strawberry? Danish was very good. Probably one of the best Danish.
