Coffee was pretty good. Nice ambiance, loved the logo and the hats and clothes for sale. Good flavors available and good treats. The service was fast but was a bit disappointing. I expected but more kindness and overall passion for a place that's motto is "Christ, community, and coffee" as a fellow believer, I share that. The customer service at mainstream coffee places is significantly better. This shouldn't be the case! I think if they can get the customer service better this place will really shine. The two baristas were just quiet and straight forward. No welcome in or anything. Like ghosts. I did NOT feel welcomed here, in fact it felt awkward. I get not everyone has a good day, but they are laughing behind the counter with each other. Why isn't that extended to the customers? To be honest, one of the baristas looked heavily stoned and just stared at us when we walked in... not a single word. I absolutely did not feel like Christ and community are the foundations of this place. When we were walking out, not a single word. Just... odd. I want to also note there was a customer that came in behind us the baristas were super friendly and happy to see... but for us, and several others we observed - nothing at all. I think for Christ to be in the motto, hospitality really should be the cornerstone. We need more hospitality driven businesses like that. I want to try again, and I will be back. Hopefully things change, or maybe it was just an off day. 3/28/25

Seasonal peppermint mocha

Love this coffee shop. STAFF: The owners truly care about people and their experience. Employees were very attentive and friendly. SHOP: the new updates are great! It's got a really cozy feel and has plenty of space in the seating area, as well as an awesome study in the back for studying or hosting little gatherings. My kids had a blast playing around while I got to visit with friends and all of the staff made us feel comfortable. It's very family friendly! Also- has a huge parking lot which is always a plus. DRINKS/FOOD: As for drinks, I had one of the seasonal peppermint mochas when I went in and it was AWESOME. I buy their coffee online as a subscription so I'm already a huge fan of the coffee. But it was nice to go in and get a "fancy drink" with some off my favorite coffee too! Highly recommend to give them a try!

Great local coffee! New daily brew for both black and espresso. Just opened a coffee shop in Beaverton as well.

The coffee is the best I have had. There is no bitterness at all. This is a local roaster and I love supporting a local business.

Excellent service. Great coffee. Regular food. Transcending decor. Easy parking…read more Following my friend Dennis' recommendations, my wife and I drove to Baristopia to enjoy an afternoon coffee and snack. SERVICE What captivated me at first, beyond the super clean premises with everything neatly organized and accessible, was the friendliest service that included a smile from ear to ear and banter, something I haven't experienced in many months, maybe in a couple of years! To top it off, we didn't wait but 2 minutes after paying, and our entire order was ready! FOOD The espresso double shot was exceptionally delicious. Creamy, foamy, the right balance between sweetness and bitterness. We tried the Blueberry Hand-pie ($5) and it's, as you'd expect, sugary and crunchy, however is no match to the Date Sugar Scone ($4.75) which was highly recommend it, the best in our opinion! The Zucchini muffin ($4.75) is deceiving as it looks like chocolate but it tastes like you're eating healthy. It has little pieces of green something, to demonstrate that it's actually vegan, and probably made by vegans. And the label says that it's vegan. And did I mention that it's vegan?! The Mocha needed sugar to add up to the sugary chocolatey flavor of major coffee shops. Not really my favorite, but then again, I'm here to try real coffee as recommended by my friend Dennis! ENVIRONMENT Super clean and organized. They have an amazing music selection playing and one can bring their coffee home to make, as they have a good selection of whole bean coffee bags from around the world to choose from.

What a very unique experience and location to have coffee and a bite to eat. After my daughters…read morehave been mentioned about this place for months, we finally had some time to check it out. The place is quite unique. It's like walking into someone's home. The business is not inside the actual commercial area but more in a neighborhood just a block or two where the actual commercial businesses are located in old town Beaverton. Just before you walk in, there were photos of dogs waiting to be adopted which set the tone. When we walked in, the entire place was adorned with photos, drawings, anything and everything dog related. There were even some folks who brought their dogs with them (now you get the theme). To the left was the owner/barista who took your drinks and any sandwich orders. I decided to get blended mocha and a Deluxe Bagel sandwich with sausage. Man what a delicious bagel sandwich. It took a little while to make but for good reason. I had the Asiago cheese put on. The bagels were wrapped in sandwich paper and served on a platter. As for the mocha- perfect flavor. Not too sweet, not too chocolatey- the flavor was spot-on. Very impressive. The place really felt homely and you are literally inside someone's house which felt warm and inviting. I can't wait to visit here again. The parking lot front of their business can probably hold about 6-8 cars and there's a sushi restaurant a few suites down including another business about to open soon (associated to sushi but forgot what food they'll be selling). Parking spots face the business with some spots along the side of the road.

A while back, someone in the Portland Vegan Facebook page mentioned Mutts Coffee and the delicious…read morebreakfast sandwich that he had. I immediately bookmarked it on my Yelp page, then forgot about it. This morning I saw a Facebook friend mentioned her coffee and breakfast here. I didn't want to forget again, so I came here for my afternoon coffee, snack and reading break. Mutts Coffee has now become my favorite coffee spot! I've been to coffee spots that have 1 or 2 things that I look for in a coffee place. Mutts Coffee ticks off all 3 things that I look for! 1) Vegan food options! They can do breakfast sandwiches made to order. They also have vegan baked goods! 2) Comfy seating...very important to a person who is plagued by sciatica issues! 3) Ambiance galore! I loved all the artwork! Today I got a sugar free iced vanilla latte. I can't remember the dairy alternative I requested. I also got a blueberry coffee cake. It all was very tasty! There's not very much parking in front of restaurant, but I had no problem getting one. Seems like there were plenty of street parking in the neighborhood too. Mutts Coffee donates part of their profits to organizations to help dogs in need. Another reason I loved this place!

So I navigated there and was a bit confused by the store location. The coffee shop is situated in a industrial business park, though I quickly figured out that they had storefronts too. I found the spot and walked in. I was greeted by Carey, who introduced herself as the owner of Roasted By Mom Coffee. That's when I learned that this space had 3 independent coffee roasters who share the same equipment and store to sell to customers. And the day I went, Carey was there to serve her coffee beans. So I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte and a black coffee. She didn't have any drip coffee readily available, but she went out of her way to get fresh beans she allowed me to choose to grind and brew a fresh cup for me. Wonderful customer service! I didn't have to wait long for my drinks to be finished. P2 said she enjoyed hers and I thought mine wasn't too bad. The beans I chose, Mom Goes Nutty, has hints of peanut butter, which I could taste in my cup. It was a different experience for sure. Overall, I thought I had a 5-star experience, though the coffee I tried wasn't what I would normally drink.

The espresso was FRESH and creamy. I went with a quad shot raspberry white chocolate and the baristas ratios were spot on! If you have the time and the addiction of coffee, you need to add Roasted by mom coffee to your next stop. To the owners: a little too quiet in there how about some music?
