I'm a huge coffeeholic and I can vouch for insomnia coffee. I buy their espresso coffee beans for home too. The coffee here is nothing short of exceptional. The comfortable seating and calming decor adds charm to the place. Service is good.

This cafe was near our hotel and had good ratings so I wanted to try it. Really good drinks, we both ordered the real caramel lattes. I didn't taste the difference between the real caramel and syrup caramel because real caramel is usually more rich. However, drinks were still good and they made good velvety foam. They were not too sweet either, which I liked. I also got a rose croissant warmed up. Really good and unique! Would recommend it, their pastries look good too. Try the rose croissant!

Enjoyed everything about this coffee shop, from the service to the drinks to the atmosphere. Not to mention the top tier pastries- the pain au chocolat was tres good. It was busy on this Saturday morning but the line moved fast and the baristas were so friendly and patient. I got the Aztec Mocha with sf mocha syrup and hemp milk and my friend got a nitro cold brew. Both drinks were killer! Can't wait to continue coming back here and trying new things.

Ask the Community - Insomnia Coffee

Is the oat milk used gluten free?

    Yes!

Is dine-in allowed yet or is it still only takeout?

I was there a couple days ago and it was still take-out only, although they have a couple benches and tables outside where some people were sitting.

Do they offer any gluten free food options?

There are a few options, but most are in the main area with everything else so there is a very high risk of contamination. There are a few packaged items like oats that state they are gluten free.

Fold over half and let the omelette finish cooking capturing inside the egg mixture in one item with cheese melting inside. The coffee is not impressive. Self serve from a push top brewed an hour or more ago? The Peruvian coffee had no flavor strength. Unless you order espresso drinks. Lots of tables and seats. I think they get a large crowd during the week business hours where everyone has to be back at work in 30-40 minutes. Don't recommend.

They are in an industrial area so I'm guessing a big chunk of their business comes from folks who work in that area. If I wanted a frappe I'd go to Dairy Queen. Yes, I'm a Navy Vet and a coffee snob. if the person ahead of me in line wants more than a little cream in their coffee my head starts to hurt. More than five additives and have a defibrillator handy. Seating is limited and often not an option. You'll likely be sharing a bench with one or more afore-mentioned daisies sipping on some drink that took a half hour to concoct. I'd love it if they had a separate line and seating for normal folk who just want a coffee of the day. But it is what it is.

Also, maybe I forgot to mention it, but this is a vegan coffee cake! On the savory side, I'd encourage you to try the Savory Biscuit with Egg and Sausage, or Bacon. This is for those indulging themselves in the moment with their loved ones, and not on a diet. Speaking of diet, if you'd like to enjoy of their carefully curated ambience, assortment of free board games or joining a friend for chess or knitting on a Monday, you could enjoy drip coffee for as low as $4 (!) or the delicious Fruit Sangria Tea - add honey for some decadence. Again, my favorite part, beyond the classic Aztec Mocha showered in cinnamon (not for health but because that enhances flavor in food!), that they're open at 6am sharp, the free blankets to keep you warm when sitting outside, or the fact that the barista knows me by name and spells my long name correctly (Baltazar), is that all this together show the amount of love both owners and employees put into each cup of coffee poured for us.

Looking at their website, there were a couple of coffee beans that I wanted to try. So I navigated there and was a bit confused by the store location. The coffee shop is situated in a industrial business park, though I quickly figured out that they had storefronts too. I found the spot and walked in. I was greeted by Carey, who introduced herself as the owner of Roasted By Mom Coffee. That's when I learned that this space had 3 independent coffee roasters who share the same equipment and store to sell to customers. And the day I went, Carey was there to serve her coffee beans. So I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte and a black coffee. She didn't have any drip coffee readily available, but she went out of her way to get fresh beans she allowed me to choose to grind and brew a fresh cup for me. Wonderful customer service! I didn't have to wait long for my drinks to be finished. P2 said she enjoyed hers and I thought mine wasn't too bad. The beans I chose, Mom Goes Nutty, has hints of peanut butter, which I could taste in my cup. It was a different experience for sure. Overall, I thought I had a 5-star experience, though the coffee I tried wasn't what I would normally drink.
