Deliciousness
Adriz M.

Friendly and patient costumer service. Came with my daughter and let's say she takes her time choosing her macarons. The items we tried were delicious and fresh. The coffee was perfect. My daughter really enjoyed her hot chocolate. Definitely worth a try and will be back before heading home.

Went first thing in the morning and the options were great in terms of pastries!! The cakes in the glass case were more limited but they had roll cakes and this yummy yuzu cake! Nice service and good lighting to help the pastries shine.

Tiramisu latte

I got to try their Tiramisu latte the other day and it tasted really nice, well balanced with the cold foam and the cocoa powder and the coffee itself is very nice! TLJ will always be the place for me to stay and get some comfort pastry and drink!

So we went a little crazy in this place, getting two boxes of assorted sweet breads, pastries, and other treats. I have an extreme sweet tooth, so my favorite things were the chocolate filled donuts, and the cream filled horns (I could be wrong and exactly what they were called, but that's what they looked like to me). My son absolutely loved the croissant and the croissant filled with a hotdog maybe? He thought that was awesome. Two of his favorite foods combined like he'd never experienced before. We spent a lot of money that day, but I don't think we touched the service on the variety of different treats offered and I'm sad that it's so far away from my home because it will be a while before I get to go back there.

strawberry matcha latte, mango and blueberry cream donuts!

The vibes in this cafe are the cutest! I felt like I was in a french version of 85 degrees. The pastries are about the same price as 85 degrees and Paris Baguette. The strawberry matcha latte was okay. The milk part felt like strawberry milk vs other drinks that use strawberry jams! The mango and blueberry cream donuts were delicious!! So perfectly fried and soft. Some donuts can be oily or dry and this was neither! Great spot to get pastries and catch up with friends during a rainy day

Great desserts. The strawberry croissant is a must. Simply DELICIOUS !!! It's a standout favorite among my friends. The croissant has a crunchy crust, a soft inside and delicious semi-sweet cream filling. Yummy.

Ube Latte

This is slowly becoming my go-to comfort bakery! Almost every weekend I go there to try out some new baked good or pastry and I am surprised every time. Their mushroom onion cheese pastry is to die for. The taro cream bread is tasty too! The baristas are quite skilled and my beverages are always perfect. It can get a little too crowded on weekends but you can still find a spot to dine in. They also have outdoor seating. Last time, I tired Ube latte and it was just delicious. The purple swan latte art looked cool too. I highly recommend this spot.

Overpriced slices of cake

After the flowers, the next on the list was a cake for my daughter's birthday party this evening. **Full Disclosure** We did not pre order a cake. But I was looking for a small confetti cake for the family. I walked in and the selection wasn't very good. I was thinking about getting some pastries but everything looked over the top. These items did not look Italian. Americanized Italian maybe but not authentic in my opinion. I did walk out without purchasing anything. Next stop, New Seasons. PS. I would recommend La Provence for authentic Italian and amazing croissants. **Edit-- I have been advised that this was not an Italian Bakery. I apologize for the error.**

Excellent variety of sweet and savory treats! You pull from cases yourself and pay at the register. Perfect to grab some pastries for breakfast or some sweet treats for dessert. Can't wait to come back and try more

If you like carbs, this place is for you and if you also like sweet pastries, it's all very delicious. However, it's not for me.

At this point I've tried a number of things here and every one of them were delicious! The Japanese pancakes were so fluffy and fun, called ahead just to make sure they could make them right after opening but couldn't get through. THEY CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY!! I have never had a food place care enough to actually call back if they miss a call. I was so happy with the pancakes too, nicely made and yummy. Their tiny cakes are all perfect too, I'm in love with each one especially the PDX rose! So bright and flavorful, with a beautiful outside that matches its taste! Can't forget the Japanese Cream Cheese Bun, it's soooooo good and the price matches the taste (aka good price for a good dessert). Not too sweet but still delicious! Just gotta make sure you eat it fresh, forgot to eat my last one for an hour and it got dry but still had its yummy taste. I super recommend this place!!

I added breakfast to this place while they visited me for a few days. We called in our order as instructed on the website. Unfortunately no Boba was available for on the pancakes. When we arrived I was disheartened to find the place rather small either intense heat of a bakery, which made the lone table inside with a meandering fly the least bit welcoming. When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!

Every single person I've interacted with has been so incredibly kind, so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. They have a full coffee menu, make their own syrups, and often have an employee special that's fun to try! Don't skip a drink! They also offer an array of pastries and bread. I love their almond croissant, even though it's not usually my first choice. There are so many layers and it's so flavorful. I'm also a big fan of their breakfast sandwich, mostly because it comes on a croissant. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try next time you are in the area, you won't regret it. And heads up that they also have a spot at the Orenco Farmers market so you can grab pastries there as well!

I avoid brunch on the weekends because it's just too busy and chaotic but weekdays are pretty nice. It's good, but not waiting for half hour good. I also come in pretty often for bread and pastries though you have to get in early or things will sell out. Service is always fine. I miss when they were open for dinner/happy hour because I liked their food back then.

On August 28th I was part of a larger (14) group planning on having breakfast to La Providence…read moreOrenco Station. As we dribbled in we found our table setup and waiting for us with paper menus at each place. Very nice except for the fact that the paper menus had no prices on them. Since they do not do separate checks, each of us needed to know the price of our breakfast (plus 20% gratuity) so we could give the correct amount to our group leader to pay the bill after the meal was done. There was some unpleasant discussion with the host about the menus and pricing and why we could not order from the regular menu. The hostess told us the kitchen could not handle large groups so we had to have a reduced menu...surprising since this has never happened at any of the other La Providences we have eaten at as a group. My feeling as were some of the others is we are certainly not valued here, and the kitchen is more important that the customer. Not a good way to start off the morning. The wait staff (very pleasant) took our orders and then in a short period of time began delivering our orders...I do take exception to the waitstaff handing the person their plate rather than sitting it in front of the person. This is never more apparent as when they tried to hand a blind man his plate which of course he could not see. How embarrassing and rude! My food came and after just three small bites I could no longer stomach the dish (Tiramisu French Toast). I stopped eating and pushed the plate away. I will note that another one in our group had the same dish and ate the entire thing. When the waitstaff came to clear our dishes, she asked me if I wanted a box. My reply was "no, the dish did not taste good". At that point she said "you should have told me and I would have gotten you something else". I was a bit indignant that she thought I should run her down somewhere in the restaurant to tell her about the bad food...it is her job to make sure everything is OK. (she never came by after serving the food to ask if everything was OK). So, my reward for sitting through the hostess abuse when we came into the restaurant and then being served inferior food was to pay full price for my three bites of food that upset my stomach plus a 20% gratuity. At the very least this meal should have been comped! This is just bad management all the way around. My family has been in the restaurant business for 50 plus years, if we treated out guests like this, they would never come back. AND I never will come back to this restaurant who is so disrespectful to the customer! Shame on you!!
