Add your fave topping(s), choose your level of sweetness and there you have it, your $8.50+ boba. Today we ordered the coffee milk tea w/crystal boba and coffee jelly 50% sweet, plus a strawberry milk slushie w/oreos 50% sweet. Strawberry drink is most likely artificial as it is super fragrant. My son said it tastes like soap lmao. I say, pretty soap at least lol but not his fave unfortunately. Coffee is better although most likely made with powder as well. Love this place! It's more of an outside-only pick up stand, but I love picking up Boba here on my way back from Downtown Hillsboro. They have some of my favorite Boba drinks (although I'm curious how many calories those milk teas have...). Besides the great quality drinks, I always appreciate that they give me straws that match my drinks. :3 It's a cute place and such a vibe, with a great location tucked in behind the shopping center (definitely park on the street in front of the shop if you drive and highly recommend planning to get it to-go!). Yummmm! I finally checked this place out and I'm in love. The flavors are so unique and the tea taste is so present. The ambience reminds me a lot of Taiwan. We ordered the peanut butter coffee and banana milk tea (half sweet) with boba. Both had distinct, delicious flavors. The banana milk tea wasn't cloyingly sweet and reminded me of candy I had when I was younger. I think we should've gotten the peanut butter coffee half sweet, but it was still wonderful. The boba was also super good; it was chewy even in cold drinks! Price is a little up there, but well worth it for quality boba at a family owned place. Great service and drinks. This charming, family owned boba shop deserves a spot on the map! They are from Taiwan-the birthplace of boba, and take immense pride in what they do. This becomes apparent in the care they take in crafting your beverage and the no gimmick way their shop is set up. It's no frills, just an authentic boba experience from two very sweet and extremely welcoming ladies. I ordered the original milk tea and taro milk tea at 100% sweetness and both were top contenders for best in the area compared to the likes of franchise places such as T4, Kung Fu Tea, Sharetea...etc. The tea flavor is perfectly robust without being overbearing. It complements well with the milk and sweetness. While 100% sweetness may be a tad too much for my personal liking, it is customizable so you can adjust accordingly. I love how this place reminds me of Taiwan and China town in New York City. Their sign says it all. :) The drinks were great. Lots of options and ways to enjoy it. Over ice or blended. I got the blended passionfruit milk with boba and it was perfectly sweet, tart, and milky. The pearls were cooked perfectly; nice chew, sweetness was spot on and the ratio was just right. Wow! You can tell this place is authentic. The boba drink was made quickly and tasted fantastic! I was able to purchase some rice crackers from Japan that I had not had in years (I'd recommend if you like crunchy with a very little bit of spice). Great service, great drink, great snack. I am not sure why, but during the pandemic my bubble tea needs haven't been met. The Lucky Panda deli on 25th apparently is no more. Sad because I was one stamp away from a free drink. I was needing a boba fix so I took the short drive down to 9th Ave. I am pretty sure I am recognized as a regular, but there is a little bit of a language barrier. The lady is always super nice though. I ordered my usual Thai tea with light ice, extra boba and 50% sugar. If i don't order lite ice 1) there is hardly any actual tea in the cup and 2) it is extra difficult to get the boba that is buried under the ice. It is really nice that they give the option to modify sugar content because 50% is sweet enough and it still lets the Thai tea flavor come through. The boba was prepared perfectly, not too tough and with almost a jelly texture. It did cost $5.50. I am pretty sure the extra boba was .50, unsure if they charged extra for the light ice. No matter, the tea hit the spot on a warm afternoon. I am sure the summertime will bring many more visits. read more

The choices are pretty standard. I decided to try the special black berry fruit tea with boba. The drink was pretty refreshing as they were able to adjust the sweetness level for me. My sister had the cotton candy smoothie, which surprisingly was really good. It also wasn't too sweet. My brother had the milk tea with zero sweetness. Met a friend at Chen Fu Bubble Tea today (Tuesday) right around 5pm and was excited to try this new place as I haven't had boba in a while. This is definitely a "hole in the wall" place, easy to spot with the bubble tea flags and signs outside. $4 for bubble tea with a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from, some that I haven't heard of like kiwi topping and the fact you can mix flavors as my friend as done before! With no line when I arrived, I ordered an iced milk tea with boba and less sugar. It came out in about 5 minutes and had just the right amount of sweetness with the boba being chewy and soft. The tea taste itself was not overpowering or non-existent, it was just right. The tapioca did not harden as I enjoyed my drink which was a plus too! While I was there about five people came in and the sisters had a system, where one would get the order and the other would make the drinks. The family owned business has been open for a few months and showcases various snacks and treats too. Minimal decor, very casual with simple arrangement for seating. Two tables inside and one outside. The sisters learned to make bubble tea from their dad who has a shop in Taiwan too! Fast service, very nice staff, and great bubble tea! P.S. I was shocked to discover a bubble tea place here. They were initially a bubble tea supplier, but opened up to sell drinks, and a couple snacks, a couple weeks ago. I went with the regular milk tea, 75% sugar, with boba. Their boba was reallyyyy good. Nice, sweet, and perfectly chewy! I was surprised with how sweet it was, at 75% sugar. My cousin got a strawberry tea with 25% sugar, and that was even sweeter than mine. I wasn't sure if there was a language barrier, but we think they gave 25% MORE sugar? The first time I came across this place was because one of my Taiwanese students recommended it. It is a small mom and pop (well, daughters and pop) shop. I became sort of like a regular here and both of the daughters who work here recognize me whenever I come in. They told me that they were running the same shop back in Taiwan for more than a decade and decided to open it in Hillsboro after they moved to the U.S. All of their ingredients are imported from Taiwan, and the recipe was handed down from their father. I am no expert in bubble tea, but I am a big bubble tea enthusiast a.k.a addict. I always wondered how the real thing tastes like, in Taiwan, the birthplace of this drink. I only drink original milk tea with bubbles, no matter where I go, so that I can compare. I always get the default ratio and never customized (well sometimes I ask for reduced sugar). It is one of the best bubble tea experiences that I ever had. Creamy, sweet lovely drink. I don't think they use actual milk, but rather a creamer. The mouthfeel is nice, and the bubbles are cooked to the perfect tenderness and sweetness. I think 100% sugar could be too sweet to some people, but 75% will do it. They shake their drinks by hand, as opposed to using machines like other local bubble tea shops in the area. I have a feeling that this is the closest thing to authentic Taiwanese milk tea as I can get. The store is a little interesting. I think they only rented half the place for their shop. A large portion of it is for their operations and the seating area is not too big. They sell various Asian ramen packets and snacks (I am not sure if you can ask them to cook them though). The other half of the shop that I think is not rented is pretty dark. I rarely stay and drink there, more like drop in and go type of bubble tea place. I like how both of the daughters look very genuine and passionate about this family business. I hope they can expand and wish more people know about them. The location is a little tricky as it's tucked away in Hillsboro. I highly recommend the bubble milk tea and please support local business! read more
