We love this gluten free bakery! I enjoyed everything I've tried so far. Loved the lavender and matcha drinks. See my photos. They have freezers with items you can purchase for home. Some things are on sale! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside area has space to sit and enjoy your treats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is sweet and services was great!

Blue Moon Bakery - very flavorful breakfast sandwiches

Stopped in for a first visit...mostly because I'd seen pics of the ube donut. We got a variety of items to try: cake and raised donuts, breakfast sandwiches, a hand pie, cinnamon roll and cheesecake bar. I wasn't a fan of the raised, but the ube cake donut was lovely. The hand pie was good with lots of filling, although the icing was too sweet for me. The flavor of the cinnamon roll was great. My hubby loved his cheesecake bar, but both of us enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches the most of all our items. Fabulous flavors in both biscuits. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute shop and very helpful, friendly service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Everything here was so good, my family and I came in all together and got a big variety of the pastries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a little small but it held my large party no problems, the staff was very sweet and patient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love that everything is gluten free, I have to eat gluten free but the rest of the group came here just to get me goodies and ended up loving everything. Their zebra donut and the lemon meringue pie were my favorite.

This review is from a visit last year. No idea if things have changed since then but I sure hope…read moreso. We had a gift card here so gave it a go. Seated upstairs so felt bad the waitress had to go up and down many many times. The empanadas were awful. I am being extremely honest. It seemed as if they were pre frozen and lacked flavor and filling. We were so surprised at the quality and price. I also had the shnitzel and it had no seasoning and was so bland. With a sad excuse for chimichurri. That seemed haphazardly put together, again lacking any flavor. Was it an off day based on the amount of people raving? Maybe. But also maybe they aren't aware of the better options in Portland so lack the awareness of true potential in this cuisine. I recommend Lechón if you want real chimichurri and empanadas.

A small and charming spot in an area that could use some more charm -- and what a pleasant surprise…read moreit turned out to be! We tried four empanadas (chorizo, pollo spicy, humita, and imposter) along with an order of papas, and that was more than enough for the two of us. Each empanada had a wonderfully flaky, golden crust. The fillings were flavorful and distinct; the only one that didn't quite win us over was the imposter, though that's probably just a matter of taste. The papas were crisp and perfectly seasoned too. Service could have been a touch more attentive, especially given the place wasn't too busy, but overall, it's a lovely new addition to the neighborhood -- cozy, tasty, and full of potential.

I went to Vivi's for the first time about 10 years ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since…read more Unfortunately, it's pretty far and out of the way from where I live, but every time I pass through the area and am hungry for Vietnamese food, I'm hungry for Vivi's. Over the years, I've brought friends and family here, talking it up enough that they're willing to make the journey with me. I always recommend the tofu vermicelli bowl. The fact that my tofu-skeptical father sang its praises after I made him try it is a testament to its flavor. I still think of it as the gold standard of tofu. I was recently in the area for the first time in 5 or 6 years and decided to go back to Vivi's with my mom. It was the first thing that popped into both of our minds-a real jinks moment. I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to our memory. Vivi's had moved around the corner from their old location-a cute, cozy little cafe-but their new restaurant is more spacious, hopefully to accommodate the flocks of diners that their food merits. I got the tofu vermicelli, which was exactly as I remembered, equally flavorful and generous in portion size for $15. My mom got the papaya salad for $5.50. I previously thought I didn't like papaya-I was mistaken. It was a unique and refreshing dish that I would 100% go back for. Vivi's food tastes fresh and nourishing and at the same time satisfying and rich. We were short on time and were prepared to have to take it to go, but our food was out in 10 minutes. I don't usually write reviews, but after so many great experiences over the years it felt long overdue. A small business that has maintained their quality at reasonable prices over the years deserves to be recognized with a recommendation. Give Vivi's a try!

Bonus points for being in walking distance of Next Level Pinball Museum. Meal came out quick with warning its very spicy (It wasn't that spicy but it had a decent kick compared to the usual dish I've had in the Portland Area!) Staff are friendly, soup was genuinely one of the best I've had in years, the Limade was also a killer and I recommend getting it to pair along with. All-in-all, was a fantastic place to contribute to my late birthday outing.

Josh responded to my request (form on their web page) within minutes, with recommendations of how many people pizzas of various sizes generally feed, ability to deliver to the party venue, etc. Josh's professionalism and expertise were very evident and very highly appreciated. Cut to the actual party. The huge order was delivered EXACTLY on time (particularly impressive with the frequently terrible traffic in the area at that hour), the order was 100% accurate, and the pizza was DELICIOUS! Hot, fresh, and flavorful. All of the toppings were VERY high quality, the crust was impressively flavorful, and chewy. Even the gluten-free pizzas were delicious! I can't speak highly enough about Society Pie! I wholeheartedly recommend them, and will definitely be stopping in when I'm in the area again.

We got a medium pizza half-and-half, and it was delicious, finished the whole thing!…read more I was a little skeptical at first because I'm more of a Neapolitan-style pizza person, and I thought the dough might be too thick. But this was actually really good. The toppings and sauce is quite impressive too. The crust was somewhere in between an American-style and Italian-style dough, just the right balance of thickness and chewiness. We'll definitely be back to try a different one!
