After a dinner out we went to Dot Sugar for a little desert. This place was super cool and it was a first for us. There were so many options to pick from and truly I think there was something for everyone. I wish the people working would have taken the time to talk to us and ask us if we had been here and maybe provide suggestions but they were friendly. We choose to get a sample box which was expensive and way to much for the two of us but we took it home. The chocolate is creamy but not overly sweet. It was perfect with the non sweet dippers in my opinion but the brownies were to much for us. We look forward to coming back and trying more items. read more

We tried the viral Dubai Chocolate Molten Cake, and I'm struggling to find the right words--because WOW. It's not just dessert, it's an experience. This place has been on my list to visit forever and I finally did! There are SO MANY OPTIONS!! So you might want to peruse the menu before you go so you have an idea of what you want. We got a few things because we couldn't decide! I will say though if you don't like very sweet things, you may want to order your dessert with less toppings/sauce because they pour them on thick here and it was a bit much for me, but still super good! Everything was made fresh and was good quality (even the strawberries!!). They weren't very busy for a Saturday and I was shocked because that place is so good and such a different dessert option! It might be the higher prices but I imagine it's because they use high quality ingredients from what I can taste. I highly recommend stopping here at least once! read more

The place was full of people enjoying their treats and there was quite a line. We ordered the Lokma with cinnamon sugar and Nutella, it was a roughly 10 minute wait as our order was made fresh! We were able to watch it be made right in front of us. Perfect sweetness and they were so nice and warm to taste! The only downside was that the outside of the container was a bit messy as if it was made in a rush- taking it to go left our fingers all sticky from the dirty container. read more

Service was very good, friendly. The menu has many options, but not really good explanations of what you are actually getting at this specialty dessert shop. The chocolate is creamy, but not sweet. The Lokma dough is fried, but had no flavor itself, tasteless, so you are just choosing the topping really. The brownie jar was impossible to enjoy; we were unable to get down to the next layer without having to finish one layer at a time. The brownie and chocolate were not sweet, both just ok, the ice cream was decent. The plastic silverware provided tasted like chemicals and were impossible to eat with, so we switched to the wooden picks with flat ends to try and scoop the best we could. We walked in and it was loud, a little busy and all the people working looked up and then continue on working without saying anything. Kind of awkward. We also stood at the counter to order for a moment before being acknowledged. We came here strictly because we'd heard about the Dubai chocolate bar. It was SO tiny for the price, and it was good but nothing special. Once we ordered we looked around at the photos and stuff, it's decorated very appropriately, lots of dessert photos. Bathroom was clean and right down the hall from the main dining area. Lots of people were coming in to pick up, looks like it's a hot spot to order out but not eat in. They had some benches outside so we went to eat out there since it was a bit cooler and quiet. The inside area is very warm! This is a diabetic persons worst nightmare let me tell you... Nobody in our group is diabetic but WOW just overdone with the chocolate drizzle, Nutella, Oreo and what not. It was so much so that it felt like I was eating Nutella on Nutella with a side of Nutella and no waffle flavor in sight. I'm sure if you ordered it with light drizzle or less of whatever it would be good but you don't know until you e had it and then at the point you've wasted your money. It was so heavy on all the sweet stuff it wasn't enjoyable. I don't think any of us finished a single item. Wow - we totally thought this was going to be one of those hipster hyped to heck places that wasn't going to live up to the expectations but boy were we wrong! This place is freakin amazing! As long as you're prepared for some fancy pants desserts that are special occasion level of fancy and has a wee bit of a price tag (honestly really reasonable for the quality you're getting, but don't be shocked about the $18 chocolate bars if you're getting the viral Dubai chocolate bars, I wanted to say they were ridiculously expensive and over hyped but they are actually completely amazing and the price tag is earned!) We got a few things because we had a good sized family but this is the perfect place to bring some friends and share Everything we had was fantastic - it's incredibly rich and definitely a spot for special occasions like birthday not to eat every night. I've been here many time but this is the first time I am writing a review about them. You can't go wrong with any of the choices you make. Only warning I would give is some of the products can be too rich in sweetness. It's to hard to say which ones because all of us are different. I use to get my own thing but now-a-days I choose to order one thing and share it. This time around I got the Lokma. Best way I can describe this is it's a softer/fluffier donut hole, sorry don't mean to offend by calling it a donut hole. Up until my recent visit I use to get the Lotus topping, which is crumbled biscoff cookie over a biscoff type Carmel. It's my favorite flavor on anything I get there. I highly recommend trying it. Yesterday the gal working told me I can choose 2 toppings!! My inner fat kid started drooling, haha, so I also chose Nutella! The combination of flavor did not disappoint! Haha. There is ample parking and it's easy to access spots. It in the shopping center with the AMC theater and New seasons market. Pistachio lakma and lotus waffle stick. Amazing! This may be my new go to for a dessert craving. The store is really cool and the music really adds to the culture of the place. The workers were so friendly and making my toddler laugh. The lotus flavor is kind of like a biscoff biscuit in sauce form. It was really good and the waffle was so soft. Honestly I was super excited to come here and got really disappointed. The food was not good at all and I found a hair in my food. We got the famous Dubai chocolate bar and it was so small and the filling tasted super burnt. Their service was okay but one lady just seems super mad or upset. Came here with a friend on a random Thursday night around 7pm. The store was brightly lit and very clean. We were greeted warmly and I'm still fascinated by the always running chocolate faucets/fountains. YUM! This was our first time so the staff let us know that we can look at the booklet they have with pictures of all the menu items by type - this was super helpful! There were lots of choices that all sound sweet and amazing but we went with the simple mixed chocolate lokmas - a blend of white and milk chocolate covering the light and fluffy lokmas. They were fresh and hot and perfect for sharing! The consistency is almost Mochi like not also with a crispy outside. It's also surprisingly not overly sweet which was great. This fulfilled our dessert cravings for sure! Maybe next time we will give the Lotus flavor a try - that was highly recommended by the staff! read more

I need help! The entire menu looked delicous and even though some things sounded like things I have had before-such as pancakes, waffles, crepes. None of it looked like any crepe or waffle I had before. If there wasn't something called calories, and fat that caused weight gain, I would have wanted to order one thing from every catagory. We ended up ordering the brownie pan, which had cake on the bottom with brownies and a scoop of ice cream. It was so decadent, we only ate about half. This is why I need help, if there are any Yelpers out there that love sweets and our willing to help me out I would love to get a large group together, to try and work our way through the menu. My one suggestion, they have a screen scrolling pictures of their menu items, it scrolls quickly and they don't have names of the items on the pictures. We asked the women that was helping us what one of the items was, and she didn't even know. If you have a sweet tooth or just want a sugar rush, this is the place to be. They have so many options I will be coming back to try everything. We ordered the Oreo Lokma and churros with the lotus and dark chocolate dipping sauce. AH-MAZING! It might seem pricey but it's large enough portions to share. The two items we ordered were for 2 people and we could have easily shared with 2 more. It's a cute location and the inside is very clean. Plenty of seating but we had our order to go. The staff are warm and welcoming, which was appreciated for our first time here. I regret not getting any of their names, however, each staff member took the time to explain the menu to us and handled our order with care. The menu offerings are decadently paired with sauces that make for awesome treats. My friends and I all tried four dishes. I only captured two of them: the Churros dish paired with white chocolate and Nutella sauce in addition to their Lokma drizzled with chocolate and Oreo crumbles (see photos attached). What a fun place for dessert! They offer a pastry called Lokma, which are like donut holes (only better!) covers in your choice of sauce. My friends and I shared an order of Nutella Lokma and WOW those were good! There were a couple dozen lokma, about the size of a quarter, covered in warm Nutella. We couldn't even finish them, but we definitely tried! Service is a bit slow, but they do make all these to order, frying up each batch fresh. And they were pretty busy. They have a bunch of other desserts, such as waffles and pan cakes (and pancakes!) and churros, but Lokma is what they're known for. Nothing savory here, it's all sweets. read more

Totally thought I reviewed this already, but I guess not. We were elated to see the sign for this place upon returning from a trip to Albania and Greece. Immediately had to look it up. We had the most amazing loukamades in Greece. They were so tasty. We never thought we'd find something like that again...until we got home and saw this place was opening up. And they had lokmas (which is pretty similar to loukamades). Hooray! We were saddened to find out they weren't serving lokmas during their soft opening. But we tried some of their waffles and brownies anyway. Yes, they are very expensive! But we ordered two desserts and there was more than enough for four people. My two sons and I went back a few weeks later to get their lokmas. But they still weren't serving pistachio ones!!! That's a bit ridiculous. And they are extremely expensive. However, again, it was enough for three people to each have like 10 or 11 pieces. So you do get a lot. For comparison, I think we only got about 10 per order in Greece, and that included ice cream, for $4. So it's actually a really good deal. I have such a huge sweet tooth so you know when I searched donuts and saw this place pop up with their recent grand opening I had to give them a try! Located in a popular plaza you can grab some food before heading over for dessert or you can do dessert first. Parking isn't too crazy but the lot gets full so if you can walk I would do that. The place is really new and had a great open space from all the big windows. You can dine at some of the tables inside but we just opted to take ours to go. We came right when they opened so just one person ahead but as we were enjoying our order to go we definitely saw different groups coming in. They are for sure dedicated to the sweets and not savory so you can find various options from their lokmas, crepes, waffles, churros, pancakes, pans and more. We came specifically to try the lokmas since we haven't had some for a couple of years and they did not disappoint. They are pricier for $13 an order so wish they did half orders so you can sample different flavors without having to pay the $13+ per item. We got the bueno flavor since I'm a Kinder fanatic and it was so decadent and sweet! They are not skimpy with the toppings on top and since it was chocolate the toppings flowed to the bottom of the tray so all pieces were coated. The lokmas had a nice chew and were fluffy and absorbed the bueno well. Surprisingly wasn't too soggy when we saved half for later as the chocolate as it cooled became somewhat of a crunchy coating instead. The sweetness isn't for the faint of heart so an order can easily be shared between 3+ people. It might be a lot if you're eating it solo but you do you! Curious to try their other flavors and sweet items so will be sure to check them out when the craving hits. read more

Get. The. Lokmas! They are seriously so delicious! If you have a sweet tooth and want to try some Turkish desserts, this is the place to go. They serve waffles, pancakes, churros, and crepes but the lokmas are where it's at. Lokmas are delightful balls of fried dough covered in your choice of sauce or syrup. It's awesome that you can choose two flavors for one order of the lokmas. One order does come with about 30 lokmas, so it's perfect for sharing. We tried the Date and Lotus flavors. The date syrup was quite sweet and the lotus flavor is made from Biscoff cookies and cookie butter. My favorite was the lotus because I'm a sucker for anything Biscoff. This was the first time we've tried lokma and it's definitely a winner. I would describe it like a warm donut hole with syrup on it. It is nice, fluffy, bounce, a tad chewy... similar to a mochi donut. There's a lot of syrup drizzled on, I would probably ask to have less syrup next time. Just my personal preference. read more
