Super quick in and out and got help looking for my 3 items. Usually feel awkward or get a weird comment being a woman in a car part store but the staff was super friendly and helpful, I recommend this location !! read more

Today I stopped by autozone on Broadway. My car was hesitating to start. I called and ask if I need to remove battery before checking and they said I can get battery tested in my car. Sure enough, the battery was bad. He checked my warranty and replaced battery with in minutes. So helpful and very satisfied today. read more

Kyle O Deserves a raise asap! Great attitude and very helpful. Thank u Kyle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not recommend this location. When I visited the Broadway AutoZone in Tempe on the evening of Monday, the 15th, I was made to feel unsafe due to information shared by employees. Both an employee and the store manager shared details about a recent incident in which someone pulled a gun on them in the parking lot and attempted to rob them. Hearing this information directly from staff while shopping was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional, and it raised serious concerns about customer safety at this location. As a result of this incident, both the employee and the manager refused to assist me with a simple headlight installation. I have been a loyal customer for over six years, and AutoZone locations have consistently helped me with this service, as my vehicle is very easy to work on. I then drove to the AutoZone on McClintock the same night, where I was assisted immediately and treated professionally. I was in and out in under five minutes. The contrast between these two locations was significant. Sharing sensitive details of violent incidents with customers and refusing assistance as a result reflects poor training and management at the Broadway location. I hope this is reviewed by corporate. read more

Angel went above and beyond where other employees don't. Not only did he help find the exact part number I needed, but he also ensured it was installed properly. He even took an extra minute to walk out with me to check that the gas lid closed securely, going beyond his required duties. This kind of service creates memorable experiences that keep customers coming back. It's the small, thoughtful actions like these that drive sales and build loyal clients who happily share their positive experiences. I'll definitely return because of the service that Angel delivered on. read more

Bobby was really helpful in getting me some new brake lights and a reverse light. He was even able to install them on the spot and signed me up for the AutoZone rewards program so I can redeem $5 off my next visit. Will definitely be back to this location. Helpful and kind staff greeted me professionally. I'm pleased:) Thanks AutoZone Tempe read more

I have never had an experience quite as horrible and inappropriate as the one I had today at this location. I called ahead looking for a 2inch hitch ball, after I was put on hold and then called again, I got a confirmation they had what I was looking for. I let them know I was right around the corner and would be there in a few minutes to purchase. When we arrived there were six associates standing around and I went up to the register and waited for someone to assist me. There was no other customers in the store and they all just stared at me. I had to ask "hi, can any of you help me? I just called looking for..." The manager Michael said "I don't know I didn't take that call." After more awkward stares he said "it's on asile 7 though." Okay no problem, we went to the aisle and found three options for what we needed. We told them we had to run outside and look at what size out truck hitch was. We came back in and asked if they had a wrench we could use to help us install the new hitch we were buying. Michael said "we don't do that." I said, "you don't help customers out? I'll be sure to note that about autozone moving forward." Then another guy, Angel - parts manager comes out and walks over to an aisle and pulls what we need off the shelf and opens it and walks outside with us. I said thanks for being helpful! He said im only helping so I don't have to listen to your comments anymore. I'm tired of hearing you say we're not helpful. We don't normally do this, take parts off the shelf and open them. He made a point to tell every other associate right in front of us, "hey, we don't do this these girls are whiners." At this point I'm so angry I almost grabbed angel by his embarrassing pony tail and slung him across the parking lot. I said that I only asked to borrow a part, if it was going to be an issue I would have purchased it and done it myself. He was just talking shit to us for no reason at all, in front of us. I said something because I'm not going to stand for that, I said hey can we just have a conversation because I'm in disbelief about my experience and how you guys are acting. I tried to have said conversation but he kept saying "yep, yep" talking over me so I said you're not even listening I'm going to stop. Then we tried to checkout and pay for the hitch we needed and again, I'm standing at the register and everyone is just staring at us. I had to say "Can someone ring me up or?" I've never seen so many assholes in one room and I can't wait to speak with their district manager about my full experience because it's too much to write. read more

idk if I came in on a bad time but. I have never taken the Battery out of my truck before and I was trying to do my best. they told me I had to take the battery out of my truck and bring it in (understandable) but when I asked questions they just scoffed at me gave me a wrench and didn't help me out at all. My girlfriend's battery was toast. I jumped her car and drove it immediately to AutoZone. I was greeted by a marvelous young lady named Jenesiss. She was amazing. She diagnosed the battery and once confirmed that the battery was indeed in need of replacing, she replaced and installed it with a new one and I was off and on my way. She made things seamless and effortlessly. Great job! read more

Darrell Clayton was very rude and was ask is that how you treat customers and he look at me like a deer in a head light.

The left a tool in my engine compartment and destroyed my power steering pump and broke my vacuum line. They denied my claim and said they were not at fault. Do not bring ur vehicle to ANY autozone. If they break it they won't fix it read more

I'm surprised these guys have 3 stars! No shade, but this is the first autozone I've been to where they haven't been super condescending both over the phone and in person. I had worn out battery that came from Walmart, but couldn't get ahold of a single Walmart auto center. This autozone didn't have the exact size and brand, but they were able to match me with a better brand that actually turned out to be cheaper than I was expecting to pay! They also gave me a courtesy discount (I'm sure they could tell times are tough for me right now) and installed my battery for free even giving me tips on how to do it myself if needed. Not sure the names that I worked with but overall great experience at this autozone compared to others around me, and will be back here the next time i need to take care of my car! read more

Dante and Darryl would not replace my daughters battery that required to be jump started. They said that it must be a bad alternator because it tested "good". Well it starts now because it was charged by that bad alternator. Do you think she wanted to spend her Sunday messing with a dead battery and horrible customer service. Thanks for nothing. Oh her car is a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek and she bought the battery 17 months ago. Made is through 2 Phoenix summers read more

Racist store. I walked in and ask a caucasian male is he didn't mind looking at my hood cause there is a leak. He refused saying he was not good for that stuff and didn't even bother to ask anyone else to help me. I ask the next guy and reluctantly he went outside and looked and suggested something. In the meantime, the first guy went outside and was looking at a hood of a caucasian woman. Racist, they only go out of their way for caucasian customers. read more

I was having battery issues with my car. I went to this location and they tested my battery and confirmed that it was dying so they gave me the options and I bought one. The they told me they couldn't install it because it was too late. I thougth "that's a weird policy but OK, I will come back earlier tomorrow" and so I didn. They then gave me a different excuse as to why they couldn't install the battery. I then called another location and wne there and they helped me. Avoid this location, horrible customer service, howeverl othe Autozones ae very helpful, so don't think it is a company wide policy. read more

Angle and Warren were last survives today. My tire went flat and I needEd to find a place fast. I see an Autozobe spot and took a chance. I parked in the shade and asked for advice/help. I went in just to grab a couple things to change my oil, and hopped in line. There was a gentleman that went to one of the closed checkout lanes and started being very rude was he was not helped next, even though it was clearly posted where the line started, as well as an already formed line. The man Angel handled the beligerant customer extremely well while helping me check out and making sure I was taken care of. Excellent customer skills lmao! read more

This place is awesome!!! Way better then the Scottsdale location. Went to the AutoZone in Scottsdale first. The guy must have been having a bad day because he was not interested in helping me at all. All I needed was a new headlight and it seemed to be too much of a struggle for him. Leaving with no parts to fix my car I left that location and drove 5 miles down the road to the Tempe AutoZone and was helped by Karl. He was extremely helpful, even in the 110 degree weather, he made sure the parts I got for my car were correct. From start to finish he was on it!! made me totally glad I didn't just give up on AutoZone all together!!!! THANKS A TON KARL! read more

The worst customer service ever. The old guy that's the assistant manager Darell is the rudest person. I bought a battery from here and tried to install in myself but was sold the wrong tools in the first place by them. I called autozone asked if they could fix my battery and they said yes and double checked with them the time they were open till (10). I had to get my car jumped to get to this location and when I get there they said they can't help me install my battery, and they don't work on my model of car cause it takes "45 minutes." He was not willing to help nor did he care about my situation at all, so I borrowed the tools and another employee somewhat helped me and it took less than 10 minutes. Will never come back to this place and will tell everyone about this terrible experience. read more

We figured out today that both brake lights were out on our car. Called this location to see if they had the item on hand, which they did. Donald helped me on the phone and greeted me also once I arrived to the store. He was very friendly and had already had the lights waiting for me at the register. After signing up for the rewards program they offer and paying for the lights, Donald also installed the lights for us!!! Excellent customer service!!!!! I just bought my scooter a few weeks ago and had no idea what oil it needs. I went to the AutoZone and they were extremely helpful. Took me to the area for two-stroke engines with fuel injectors. I freaking LOVE these guys! Everyone who helped me was awesome. Joe, Andy, Chuck, and other guys in the store whose names I didn't get but I think everyone who was working today helped me in some form or another. I'm almost completely clueless when it comes to cars but I always Google my issues and am able to get an idea of what's going wrong and what I need to do - so turned out that I needed to replace my alternator, as it wasn't charging the battery anymore. I bought a new alternator from them and changed it outside, they lent me tools and kept coming out to check on my bf and I as we were doing the job. They helped us a lot with trouble shooting some issues and in the end, we left with a working car for which I am super grateful. I'm not a Phoenix native so the heat really gets to me but I don't think anyone wants to be bussing it in 100+ weather so THANK YOU Autozone! Definitely recommending for anyone needing help to come to this location. read more

Stopped by yesterday when my car battery had completely died. Since it was under warranty I received my replacement batter for free. They offered to put it in for me but I went ahead and took care of it. Figured since I was there to get my alternator checked out. Turns out it was bad...they didn't have the part there but their manager went to another location since I couldn't drive and picked it up for me. By this time, all the mechanics were closed for the night and I'm sitting in a parking lot with a car running purely on a battery. The associate behind the counter pointed out a Mobile Mechanic that was in the parking lot. After talking to him, he not only was able to replace my alternator for me, but replaced the belts as well for a fraction of what it would have cost me at a mechanic's shop. The staff there was extremely helpful, ABOVE AND BEYOND what needed to be done and also picked up some new brake light bulbs while I was there which of course they help look up for you. Will definitely be back here again if I need help and strongly recommend their services. Exactly the kind of customer service one would love to receive from every place you go. Great place to go for check engine code scanning too. They do it for free and can then look those codes up online when you get home to determine what you need to do! read more

I had the worst and most unprofessional experience at this Autozone. I had a bad battery I called ahead of time and made sure they could check it and diagnose the problem and everything seemed fine on the phone. I get there, and immediately they seem very dismissive. I talked to what I assume was the manager and he said he didn't usually have a lot of people working on Thursday so I would have to wait for THE ONLY PERSON THAT COULD DO IT to check my battery. I thought that was weird because checking a battery takes literally under a minute. I could have checked my battery if they gave me the diagnostic machine. I wait for 45 mins with no communication with any of the employees while they watched me doddle around the store (he told me to wait in the store.) Finally someone that I didn't see when I first walked into the store, came up to me and asked if I was waiting for my battery to get checked I replied "yes" and then he proceeded to say to his other employees, "What the fuck is your guys problem?!" and then they all started laughing. I walk up to the counter, visibly annoyed because I've been there for an hour now, the manager that had told me to wait was not making eye contact with me and not saying anything to me and then a short guy hastily got the battery diagnostic machine out and didn't say anything to me and just exited the door and I assumed that I had to follow him out to my car. I got in front of him because he didn't know what my car was and just stares at me while I raised my hood. it takes 60 seconds. My battery is obviously dead. he says that I need a new one and I said, "can you guys replace that here? The manager and said on the phone that they were able to replace it" and he looks at it for two seconds and he says "no it has a computer on top of it so if I were to wreck it, we would be liable." which is not what they told me on the phone. I went back inside and he says his employees "This is your guys problem now." They were all openly laughing at me. This felt like a giant prank, the only employee who was willing to help me was the one who fetched me from the back of the store in the first place. I got my battery checked out and left the store, and the female employee was snickering at me. I then called later to speak to a manager because that was incredibly embarrassing and the female employee called me a liar and said i was dodging their help. Do NOT go to this autozone. From the other reviews i have read they have NO respect for female customers and are NOT willing to do their jobs and help. read more

Called ahead to get 2 cabin air filters, put them on hold, and picked them up when I arrived. Friendly service and clean store!

The customer service was horrible. I went in to buy oil, I had no clue what I was doing. I've been meaning to write this review for a few weeks. My battery died and I got a jump from a co-worker after work. So I drove right down to the Auto Zone at the southeast corner of Mill Ave & Broadway Rd in Tempe. The staff there were all outstanding. When I got there, they were pretty busy, and the district manager was about to leave for the day. When he saw me standing there, he set his things down and called me over. So there I was, dressed in my suit & tie, attempting to change a battery. He sent out one of his employees (David) to help me change the battery. David had a little trouble because the battery is located under a bunch of other things in my car. However, David was very professional. So, this other employess, Shelly comes out there and changes my battery like it was no big deal! She was more than happy to help, and thanked ME for being a customer! Wow! Bravo to Auto Zone for their friendly, and very capable staff! I have since gone there for miscellaneous items, and will shop nowhere else for any car needs. This place is the real deal! read more

Not a good experience. My Service Engine Soon light came on and I happened to be near, so I decided to stop in and see if I could get a reading or some insight. I went in and asked, and was told to refer to my cars' manual. Okay. Fair enough. I go out to my car and start flipping through the manual, with the car on, and notice that the A/C isn't kicking out cool air while the car is sitting still. So I head back inside to find a solution and I'm handed a can of STP AC Pro that retails around $50 (and told it costs that much bc of the reusable gauge that's attached). The instructions are fairly simple, so I head back out to my car and follow them to a "t". That gauge that's supposed to tell you when to stop isn't functioning and unbeknownst to me, I put in too much fluid. Luckily, I stopped before any major damage occurred. I brought the can back inside with the intention of either returning it or getting some assistance with it on the second try. As I approach the counter, a line forms behind me. The cashier, assuming I'm doing one of these two things, asks me to move to the side so he can help everyone purchasing something first. I wait, even though there are two other employees behind the counter, and then notice one customer is purchasing the same thing, different brand, gauge and all, for less than half the price. Nice that I was given the way more pricey one as if it were my only option. Finally the rep who had me wait walked outside with me to take a look at what the product is doing. He notices that the gauge is not working and checks the pressure using a small tool he has on hand. Informs me that I put in too much of the AC Pro and my unit is at risk of blowing. There is a yellow dye that squirts out onto his finger. He tells me that the dye is the reason that the gauge was not reading correctly and mentions that there is a shop down the street that I should probably go to. I go to the the shop, aka Just Brakes, to get my car looked at. They let me know that the guys at AutoZone gave me some bad information. First, they tell me that the AC Pro cans are about the worst thing a person can use; informing me that they see peoples' units destroyed all the time by them. Second, the dye is normal and has nothing to do with the gauge not functioning. Just Brakes took good care of me. AutoZone wasted a good chunk of my day, pushed me aside after I had just spent a lot of money there, gave me bad information, and just had a sour attitude through most of our interaction. read more

New staff they have is unfriendly, pretentious, and all around rude. I purchased some Bosch spark plugs for my Toyota Camry from a different Autozone, in which, I later decided to return them because I would rather use the original brands, NGK or Denso. As usual, the cashier asked me why I'm returning, I tell him my reason and his reply to me was, "Why!? Did you know that Bosch is made by Toyota?" All while giving me a look as if I didn't know what 2+2 was. I was taken back a bit because in no way does Toyota, a Japanese company, make Bosch that is German. I didn't mention anything because I did not want to deal with a dumb and pretentious person. Thankfully I got my full refund and I won't be coming back to this place. read more

I've been here a handful of times and the staff is always friendly and they always have what I need. Today however, I had a great experience. I had just washed my truck and found some weird waxy, gummy stuff on the side of it and couldn't get it off. I went to Auto Zone and before buying this tar remover stuff, the employee (I didn't get his name) sprayed some on a cloth and came out to my truck and checked to see if it worked. It did, so I bought it. That is true customer service and he is an asset to that company. Thank you, Auto Zone, my truck is all cleaned up! read more

My battery has died more than once and has a 3 year warranty on it. 2 weeks ago, the first time it died they assured us the battery and alternator were fine. 2nd time today, battery died and it took them an hour and half to charge... Told me again the battery was good and now alternator is bad. Because this being the 2nd time same store, I have absolutely no trust in what was told to me. The manager is the one who didn't seem to like me when I walked in and he saw we were back. I would not recommend this store in Tempe. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I went in to buy windshield wiper fluid and asked if they could help me check to see if I needed coolant and help me with the windshield wiper fluid. Since I have no idea how to do those just wanted to be shown which goes where you know. The old white jerk who was checking me out says no they can't check to see if I need coolant because it can go everywhere and can be dangerous. First I didn't ask him to do it I just wanted him to check and tell me if my car was in need of it. Then when I ask if they can atleast help me with the windshield wiper fluid he says "nope it's easy. Figure it out" I honestly just at that point was in shock that someone who works in customer service would even say that so I just walked out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
