    Beautiful views from Aunt Kate's

This was my first time at Aunt Kate's, but it won't be the last! This is a great place to grab a seafood basket (oyster, shrimp, other types of fish, etc.), sit outside to enjoy a beautiful day, and grab a cold beverage. On this visit, I had an oyster basket with fries and an iced tea along with great service from Ashley and a beautiful waterfront view. Wanting to be closest to the water, I grabbed a shaded picnic table by the water line, they also have a spacious patio area and plenty of indoor seating. Pricing for lunch averaged $30 per person including the drinks, tip and tax. An overall wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning soon.

Views were wonderful for sunset and a great place to watch for dolphins. I got the blackened mahi sandwich and it was so salty it was almost impossible to eat. I think I'd need to get it grilled next time. The fried shrimp basket was pretty good and I really enjoyed the potato wedges that come as the French fries.

Server was polite and friendly. They do not have WIFI, so you need to talk to your people. Food came quickly and prices were reasonable. I ordered the Cobb Salad w/grilled shrimp. Healthy portion. The blue cheese dressing was delicious. They give you a mixed bread basket with Datil Cornbread, Johnny cake, and pumpkin bread. Very unique. Would definitely come back.

Our server was Stephanie, and she was fantastic. Great personality and on point. Place was very clean and everyone was friendly. My burger was great, and everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Large place with plenty of parking. Beautiful views of the water. Highly recommend! Ask for Stephanie!!

Aunt Kate's offers a super casual vibe, but what it lacks in fancy decor, it more than makes up for with great food and a fantastic location right on the water. The inside is simple, but the back deck has a really nice setup with a great view and live music to set the mood. The white she crab soup/chowder was definitely the highlight of the meal. It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it was hands down the star of the show. The coconut shrimp with the sweet orange/piña colada dipping sauce was also a big hit, and a real treat! We also shared the crab cakes (which were tasty), the Ahi tuna nachos (not my favorite, I would not get again), and the Mahi sandwich, which was fresh and satisfying. Overall, the food was great, the atmosphere was chill, and it's the perfect spot if you're looking for a casual, waterfront dining experience. If we were in town again, we'd return!

We ordered the muscles appetizer which were very good, but could use some fresh herbs instead of what seemed to be dried seasonings. there were almost 1/2 dozen that were served to us that were unopened and inedible. We also ordered the blackened scallops with a rice and beans side and grilled mahi with a side of pickled beets. The scallops were cooked very nicely, but could've benefited from more blackening seasoning. The rice and beans were good, but benefited from the house made hot sauce. The mahi was cooked a bit over, making it a bit tough and dry. The beets were delicious and a generous portion was served. Service was terrific and Samantha was friendly and attentive. We purchased a bottle of the amazing housemade hot sauce to bring home.

We ate staying at North Beach campground so we decided to walk from our site to this restaurant. We have been here before and enjoyed the food. We ordered fried green tomatoes for any appetizer and along with our drinks a carphania and a margarita. Both great. They also brought out a bread basket with sweet cornbread spice bread and other breads. Our meals came out , hunny ordered the dish tacos with collards and hush puppies. I ordered the special which was dill chicken salad on Texas toast with fries. Everything was wonderful and since we have been here before very consistent we are very pleased. We highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

Went here to have a nice mid afternoon snack and drinks. Had the rum runner and peel and eat shrimp. Also ended with some sweet potato fries that were amazing! Service was great and the view was perfect!

We were staying in the North Beach Campground and walked over to this restaurant. We both had shrimp, I had the coconut shrimp and it was lightly breaded and very good. My wife had the shrimp basket and chose fried and it too was lightly breaded and also was very good. Make sure to get the free bread it was very good as well. The service was top notch from the greeting at the door by Cindy to Becca who serviced us. What a sunset.

We had a pretty good at Aunt Kate's! We originally went for the fresh oysters but they didn't have any so that was a bummer. We ended up taking advantage of the happy hour but the drinks were not all that good. We also ordered fried green tomato's to start and they were fairly good. We got wings, the Cobb salad, crab cakes and the seafood platter. Everything was just okay, nothing amazing but good. The service was strange, our server was a bit passive agreement with us and we couldn't really tell what he was trying to do. But we sat outside and it was a lovely view. Lot of tables were left uncleaned though so the birds were all over the place eating the leftover food. Overall, we had a decent time.

These are completely different in taste and calories, and it's not a reasonable substitute to casually suggest. What made it worse: oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk were all visibly sitting in the fridge right there from where I was seated at the bar. Zero effort to offer what was clearly available. The atmosphere didn't help either. The space feels like someone started building a café concept and never finished thinking it through. It's uninviting, disorganized, and oddly off -- not warm, not designed with the customer in mind. Nothing about the food, the presentation, or the space gives you a reason to choose this place over anywhere else. Not particularly tasty, not nicely decorated, not a vibe. Not sure what keeps people coming back, honestly.

Unfortunately the weather decided otherwise. The weather was terrible and the rooftop closed. We opted to continue with our evening as one of our friends lives in Vilano. And I get it. It's a steakhouse. My friends all love steaks. Between the four in our party we had the bread which was out of this world and we ended up ordering a second order, the goat cheese terrine which was tasty, chopped Salad minus the bacon was delicious,Caesar salad for one lady, the mashed potatoes and they were not great, the seasonal vegetables and those were awesome, the Brussel sprouts which were very good but a skimpy portion, a filet steak review was it was ok, steak mofongo and review was ok, and lastly the vegetable pasta and again review was ok. I personally just had the sides as I hate onion and I could not get a vegetarian pasta without onion. The pros are everyone on the staff was wonderful! Bartenders, our server Jonny, hostess, valet guys, etc. The cons are the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, the space is dressed up a bit for a hotel but still a hotel restaurant, some of the patrons had on shorts and ball caps. For the menu prices a dress code should be enforced and more comfortable seating available. I still want to check out the sunset rooftop and the bread is worth another trip.
