Truly the best hospitality I have had at any Boston restaurant. My husband and I have gone to a lot a of Boston/Boston area restaurants and I can't think of any that have been as friendly and accommodating as Audubon. I wish I had caught the hostess' name so I could give her a shout out because she was so thoughtful and made us feel so welcome. The bartenders were also amazing! They were attentive and helpful. I was drinking mocktails and each concoction was more delicious than the one that came before. My husband drank actual cocktails and said those were also some of the best he's ever had. The food was why we came and it did not disappoint! Overall such a great experience. I cannot recommend Audubon enough if you are looking for a nice chill, delicious night out. We will be back for sure! read more

I was really excited to try this place because every time I walked to and from school, there are always a lot of people in here. Sadly, Audubon disappointed me. My friend and I ordered two things: a sandwich with crisp apple in it and a steak with cornmeal and mushrooms. -The steak was decent, but nothing special. I liked the cornmeal and mushroom because I like them. Eh. -The cheddar cheese in the sandwich was hard. WHY was it hard? The apples were decent, but the entire sandwich just oozed grease and I wasn't feeling it. Good things about the restaurant: -Waitresses are very friendly and service was adequate. -Portions are medium-large. read more

I literally can't say enough good things about Audobon. My husband and I were walking around the city and happened upon it. From the outside, kinds of quiet, unassuming. Inside, a great decor, incredible food and simply outstanding service. John, the bartender, was phenomenal. So much so that we returned the next day just to see him. Sadly, he was not there, but our lunch was amazing that day as well. The street corn, dirty potatoes, fish tacos, wings, mac and cheese and a few other items rounded out a huge, fantastic lunch. Flavors are huge, quality is spot on, and the service is second to none. It's our new favorite in Boston read more

Great bar, great staff. I stuck my head in today thinking "Do I stop for a drink or just go home?", and a server saw me and invited me in, almost leading me by the hand to the bar, introducing me to Lem, and promising he'd take care of me. He made me an amazing drink, she came back to check in with me, we chatted, and I felt seen. A delicious and congenial experience which I look forward to repeating. Thanks, Lem and kind server person - I really appreciated the warm welcome! read more

This place was one of the best neighborhood bars in an area filled with unimaginative bar food and Red Sox fans. When the place was closing temporarily to reopen under new management, I was terrified the things I loved on the menu would disappear forever. In between laundry loads, I snuck in for a quick beer and snack. First off, I was so relieved to see the table that could impale and kill you after a few drinks has been removed from the center of the restaurant. Secondly, the cocktails were UNBELIEVABLE. Dare I say, Best of Boston quality. Finally, although the menu did change, the salt and pepper shrimp blew me away and I realized there was a level of sophistication that the old menu never had. I had such a great experience that I returned that same evening and brought friends. They were as thrilled as I was with the changes. I am so happy to have not lost a great restaurant and bar in the 'hood, but even more happy that it seems to be better than before. read more

Went here with a friend to grab a bite to eat on a weeknight. We arrived around 830 and were able to grab the last free table as the place was pretty packed. After reading through the reviews, we both decided to go with the flounder. It was served on a corn husk with a succotash and brown rice. The fish was pretty tasty, there were a couple of parts of it that were a bit too oily for me, but the spicy sauce and rice helped compliment the flavors. The charred veggies in the succotash provided a nice bite and the brown rice had a nutty, coconut flavor that was very good as well. Overall, this place has some quality dishes at prices that really can't be beat. The service is friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. They also have a decent cocktail/beer/wine menu and is a great place to grab a bite/drink for lunch or dinner. read more

Ok, let me start by saying that the old Audoban was one of my favorite restaurants in the city and I was a 15 year patron, so I really wanted to hate the new one (especially since it is now run by Cambridge hipsters). So, I must admit....it's still great! The menu is very similar, staples like the potstickers and burger are still there and prices are right. I thought the old burger had a competitive edge with the flakey French bun roll, now it's brioche like every other restaurant but the meat is great and roasted potatoes are done right. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Now...why not 5 stars (which I rated the previous one)?? The food is great, staff is wonderful, parking is easy. The decor is amazing.....however it is now ruined by multiple TV's ?!? Is this now a sports bar like EVERY other place in that area? I'm confused, I thought hipsters didn't like sports. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if it's not the Super Bowl, World Cup or World Series, turn off the TV's. Every bar has expensive flat screens, they're not cool anymore. You have a beautifully designed space that is dimly lite, ditch the annoying glow over my girlfriends shoulder playing golf highlights. read more

Lovely place for dinner and solid drinks. Not much has been done to the interior since it re-opened. Cocktails for the manly men and the girly girls. My cocktail (The Royal Bermuda, I think) was pink and had a paper umbrella toothpick, much to my delight (teehee). Boyfriend got the corn husk flounder. Perfectly cooked fish on top of (you guessed it) corn husk. Came with this awesome sticky rice and a sweet salsa. They really killed the presentation on this one. Looked way more than the $15 that it was. I got the airline chicken, which was massive and a little dry, but the israeli cous cous risotto more than made up for it. It was BOMB. Drowning in melted fontina, chewy, and perfectly cooked. Came with some fresh radicchio. Would definitely come back here for drinks at that confusing angular bar table or to feel slightly fancy for less than $20/entree. read more

A great new addition to the area. I haven't been to the previous version of Audubon Circle, but Audubon Boston has quickly become one of my favorite places in the area to grab food and drink. Their cocktails are inventive, somewhat affordable, and delicious. read more

Met with friends for drinks, which were very delicious (I tried the Hanky Panky and that was very good). Hungry set in and got the Focaccia Grilled Cheese and it was heavenly. The rosemary on the sandwich really made it. Service was good on a Friday night, despite the busy crowd. read more

Noticed Audubon was near our hotel, so decided to stop in. Originally planned on having breakfast, but realized we weren't quite hungry for an entire meal. Had a couple drinks and ordered a fish taco and the flat bread. We had zero time to take pictures because it was that good! Being foodies, we like to try different places but had to come back the next day for actual meals and I'm so glad we did. We had the Benedicto and brunch burger. Both were so delicious and service was awesome both times. Got great recommendations for our trip from the bartender as well! read more

This place may be haunted by ghosts bro, as it is most specifically dark inside, but in a sexy maybe I'll call you again someday kind of way. Our bartender was most definitely not a ghost, as they were holding plates and everything of delicious smelling and most definitely delicious looking things of ALL SORTS! I ended up getting something that was maybe the color of your energy, woohooo yeah amber, and it tasted like a Saturday night joyride in my possibly owned but most definitely rented Chevrolet Monte Carlo! I ended up getting a double of those, which I think they called an Oktoberfest from Jack's Grotto. I bet Jack has a ton of parties in that grotto for sure bro! My non-ghost bartender was exceptionally wonderful, and never once laid down on the job, and telling you I lay on Pratesi bedding, so you could call me an expert. read more

wow. may i just say this is THE best bar and restaurant in BOSTON. zoe our server is the kindest and most patient person that has ever served me. impeccable service, no wait time, i would come back here every week. this is the perfect atmosphere to chat with friends and grab some drinks. read more

Stopped in for dinner last night before a concert at Fenway with my family. We all had great meals from an outstanding veggie burger, great house pasta and a perfectly cooked burger. Lively fun atmosphere; Highly recommend read more

What an amazing experience! Kind of out of the way, near the CITGO sign. Highly recommend going with a large group and ordering a bunch of apps. This allows you to sample a ton of different items without breaking the bank (too much). We ordered (all were fantastic!): - Homemade Spreads (Red Pepper Goat Cheese) - Zucchini Bruschetta - Mint Peach Tostada - Grilled Watermelon as well as Mango - Charred Asparagus Salad - Jalapeno Poppers (very spicy!) - Sweet Potato Cakes Their menu is seasonal, so you will get fresh options year round. Also, any of their desserts is a must! read more

This is an excellent place. We had a bunch of dishes (sandwiches / salad / tacos) and all were tasty. Will absolutely come again. read more

3.5 stars. I've always thought this place was pretty dependable, nice space, hidden patio when the weather allows, menu not to pricey. But the bartender was such a sour puss last Sat., I have to dock a star. We only went for drinks and they definitely have some interesting cocktails, but she was downright unwelcoming. In this day of everyone wanting to sit at the bar, you better fake it if you have to. A smile and a 'how you doin' goes a long way. read more

Had the pleasure of meeting Nicholas and Jon Friday night. It was a long week and I needed a nice drink to take the edge off. Nicholas was a funny guy because he had a great presence! John was quick and super personable! When you can make a Judas Priest reference with a couple of bartenders they are alright in my book! PS - The Kentucky Burbon was kick-ass! read more

We were sadly disappointed. Diet Coke was flat - not a single bubble! Grilled octopus ok, a little over cooked. Husband liked the burger (also slightly over cooked) and side of potatoes was good. Fish taco ok. Flatbread not very good. Service was prompt and efficient. read more

I've always liked Audubon. It's such a "cool" place, in that it doesn't feel like anyone is trying to hard, but everything just works. Most recently, I had a cocktail with green chile vodka - it was bright pink, and delicious. I think the draft beer menu leaves a little something to be desired but they have bottles of the good stuff. Food is solid, and well-priced not only for the area but for the quality. My favorite are the apps though - just get a bunch of those instead of a dinner. 3 cheers because they have an outdoor patio! read more

This place was just okay in my book. The decor is basic and clean and the space is very open and airy despite the dark coloring of the interior. Service was okay, although I thought it was a little weird that all the staff wore different style hats. When my waitress initially approached my table I thought to myself who is this hat lady walking toward me. I ordered the corn husk flounder due to Damien S.'s positive review of the dish. The pro of the dish was that my fish was very nicely seasoned, but there were also cons that took away from the dish, specifically, my fish was on the dry side (likely due to being over cooked) and the rice accompaniment was flavorless and soggy. The portion size was also quite small in my opinion as I was still a wee bit hungry upon finishing it. If the flounder filet was an ounce or 2 larger or if more veggies were served with the dish it likely would have been a perfect portion. At $15 for the entree it didn't break the bank, but it wasn't good value either. I also tried a sip of my dining companion's fancified gin and tonic. It just tasted like a regular gin and tonic to me, nothing special. I think Damien's review indicates that the Audubon may be run by the same folks as those behind the Silvertone (downtown Boston) and Trina's (Somerville). I've been to both and the Audubon has a lot of work to do if it wants to match those establishments. read more

So I thought the mini-mecca for hipsters is NY but boy am I wrong. Audubon not only had an interesting drink menu, but the counters/tabletops are apparently made out of a material that you can use chalk on. To top this all off, I noticed out the corner of my eye a few tables were playing various games such as Connect Four and cards. No wonder the wait was a bit long, but this restaurant concept is definitely interesting and the food was delightful. My friends ordered salads and the sandwich with prosciutto, I ordered the open face crab-meat sandwich. I thought my sandwich was good, it was a little clunky but nothing a knife and fork could not handle. It was wonderfully seasoned and a good portion size. My critiques would be having more tables and service being just a little quicker. I understand that it was a bit busy when we were there but it did not look like the table turnover rate was too fast. We did have to wait a bit to order and to get our food, but the waitress was attentive and did keep us appraised of the situation. Overall, a lovely experience and I would come back. read more

My friend and I had lunch here as a quick celebration of our 21st birthdays. Staff was super friendly, food was delicious, and drinks were great! My parents also stopped here for a beer on their way out of town and loved it as well! Great for anyone 21+, anytime of day, definitely recommend! read more

Simply love this place. Never too crowded and the food is amazing. I always get their burgers and add pepper jack cheese with jalapenos (last time I checked, they don't have the option of adding jalapenos on your burger, but you can just ask them for jalapenos). The service is always great - whether you're sitting at a table or at the bar. This place is my go to spot for a late night dinner and never disappoints. The only thing I seem to forget every time I go there is to ask whether they serve beers in bottles/tap/can. Being a bit picky, I don't like drinking beer from the can - but seem to always order a beer served in a can there. read more

Could not have higher reviews for this place. We came and the power was out on the whole block--they were doing everything they could to keep brunch happening, even running to Dublin Donuts down the street to get us free coffee. The service here is outstanding, by far the most accommodating and all around quality I've experienced in Boston. I ordered a Toad in the Hole and it was a fun take on a classic brunch meal. I want 4 more. I love it here--making it a goal to become a Sunday regular. read more

Ive been here for brunch a couple of times and have loved it every time. The parfait while seemingly a simple dish was so good, it was mixed with honey and yogurt and the granola topping was very crisp. The toad in the hole is a classic and they do a great job with it, would definitely recommend The ambiance here is really nice, it's sort a cozy bar feel. It's definitely a great choice for a morning with a couple of friends. I've also been for dinner but I'd say that the brunch menu and food is more worth your money! read more

This review is for food only. We started with the white bean dip and potstickers. Both were good, but the potstickers were pan fried (prefer steamed but still tasty). For dinner, we went with the veggie burger and a regular burger with fried onions, bacon jam (based on a yelp review) and a fried egg. Veggie burger was ok, but the char overpowered the taste. The burger was delicious and juicy, probably due to the bacon jam. Definitely worth getting again! The prices are great, service is good and I'd definitely like to make this a neighborhood spot! read more

First impressions matter - unfortunately for me Audubon flattered to deceive on the food front. The menu was rather promising with several vegetarian options - stay far away from the pizette - it was a dry, flaky thoroughly boring poor cousin of a well made flatbread - quite possibly one of the worst finger food I have had in a really long time The stars don't reflect my opinion of the general ambiance which was rather nice and neighborhoody or the perfectly palatable cab - but as pub foods go, given my decision on a given day, Audubon was a big thumbs down read more

We came in for brunch on a sunday. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Parking is always interesting in this area too, its best if you don't have to drive. The service was pretty slow. We got the grilled mango and avacado. Both were tasty, but we waited a bit longer than we expected to wait. For dinner, we got the chili, the pesto chicken flatbread and a burger. Everything was ok, for the amount of time we waited I would have hoped the food would have been better. It wasn't crowded either, so not too sure what was going on. Not sure if I would rush back. read more

In a neighborhood with increasingly "sceney" restaurants, the ambiance and food can't be beat. Audubon is a great spot for semi-casual dining, especially in warm weather when the patio is open. Their menu seems to have been updated, but you can't go wrong with the sandwiches at lunch, and the pork hash and eggs at brunch is divine (I'm a sucker for southern comfort food and this dish honestly does BBQ better than Sweet Cheeks). The cocktails could be better; several are too sweet and not dynamic enough for my taste. read more

The burgers were okay. We had a party of 10 and they sat us in a very small booth outside and never relocated us when there was available space. The waitress with the ponytail and white smock was so condescending. Whenever i asked her for service at her booth, she would tell me to sit down and tell me she knows what she is doing although she never checked up on us until i approach her. She automatically charged us for 20 percent gratuity even though large parties are usually 18%. Her service definitely ruined the dining experience for us. Then she had the audacity to chase us at the streets for the tea bags and told us they were $2.50 a piece and claimed we stole them when she gave us a whole bucket of teabags for one person. Fire that trailer trash. read more

These guys are as good as it gets. I live just down the street and wanted to do a birthday brunch there. Not only were they super accommodating (and excited to host it!), they went out of their way and made special birthday menus. It was the sweetest. And now that summer is here, their back patio is an amazing secret. (I hate even writing about it. Don't want to give the secret away!) Nestled away behind Beacon St. it's a tiny oasis with wooden benches, twinkly lights and some seriously bangin' cocktails. read more

We got 2 burgers, the flatbread, and Brussels sprouts as well as 2 beers and 4 cocktails. The drinks were excellent, and the food was really good. However, the bussers took half our order and easily checked on us more. Our waiter hardly ever came around and wasn't very helpful. He took 20 minutes to get back to us when we were trying to order dessert, and even then, he tried to just leave us with our check rather than take our order. read more

Had a lovely time at Audubon. The place was pretty empty on Labor Day so my friend and I were able to take our pick of seating. Excellent Service! Highly recommend the Dirty Potatoes

Great new little spot. Food was delicious and service was great. We got the relish plate to start which had a great selection of fruit relish, fresh ground mustard, cheese and crostini bread. I got the salt and pepper shrimp which was very good. Had a little spice but not too much. My husband got the burger and said it "hit the spot". It has the right combo of food and ambience. I can't say enough good things about this place! Since they have been under new management everything has been great. Nice place and nice drink. The food was not that surprising, plain tho. But I'm all, a nice place with a nice view!

My husband chose this spot during our first trip to Boston. I wasn't impressed by the inside nor the bathrooms. It also smelled funny. We decided to order in more of a tapas fashion and it worked out well. We had the shrimp, dumplings, wings and the potatoes. It was all pretty good. The blue cheese with the wings was really good. Go for the food not the ambiance. read more
