This just opened and the menu has everything I love. I decided to stop in. You order at a counter then they bring the food to you. The guy taking the orders was not helpful when I asked a few questions. It was 11:30, so the crowd was building. I got the last seat inside, and I counted 41 people in line waiting to order when I sat down. Do not be in a hurry. I think they need more than one register. My "spicy" chicken curry arrived after 5-10 min. It was not spicy. It was good and pretty. It was only lukewarm, and I like my food hot. The veggies were good but over cooked and mushy- but ok. They only have flavored tea and a few juices for fountain drinks. I had water because I don't like flavored tea nor mint or tons of sugar. The place is clean and bright. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The person who took my order wasn't too pleasant. She was in a rush, it was our first time there so just had few questions. After placing order we were given a number and we sat down. Plenty of choices to sit down they do have outdoor seating as well. Food arrived quickly. The appetizer platter was enough for two people. Falafel wasn't fried which is a huge plus. Salmon bowl was very well balanced and full filling. Strawberry shake was good but definitely not worth $12 plus. read more

Great place to have a light clean meal with tons of options. As a person with a nut allergy just make sure you don't order with them in. The cheese bread is as expected, very good. I enjoyed my tri tip bowl. The sweet potato with kale makes it a nice meal to have when you're looking for a conscious meal. Their house made drinks were good especially the cucumber lemonade. read more

Gluten free eater. This exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is really laid back. The outdoor seating is in the sun but had good sunshades and misters. The service is as quick. We ordered our food and had it within 5 minutes. The menu is extensive. A lot to choose from. But buyer beware it is expensive. We spent 52 on two meals a side and drinks. I got the curry chicken. Overall the flavors are fantastic. My chicken was a little dry. But the mix of the kale rice veggies were perfect. The curry was a bit sweet with good flavor. The rolls were a bit gooey but gluten free can be that way. I liked them. My husband for the tri tip madeira and he thought it was more filling than he expected. The roasted veggies added another layer of flavor. We got max and cheese on the side. I had to try gf Mac and cheese. It was really good. A very mild cheese but was creamy and the bread crumbs was a good touch. The drink options had variety. But there was no "normal" drink. Not even a soda substitute. I got one of the teas and it was good. My husband got one of the drinks with stevia in it. I am not a fan but he was. Personal preference. Overall we will be back! read more

Aubergine Kitchen is new (ish) to the the phoenix market. I was slow to go and try them for a few reasons. Bare with me as I will get to the food review Reason 1. The website was not easy to identify dietary restrictions. So, I was nervous about what I could or could not eat. Reason 2. $$$. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. Especially for a non-full service location. If I'm paying $18 for a salad it had better be Amazing! Welp, it was! I ordered a steak salad which came with a GF cheese roll. Note-the roll was one of my (non gf) companions favorite items. My salad was filled with fresh and vibrant ingredients like nuts and fruit. I ordered dressing on the side. Again, for 2 reasons: 1. Leftovers. Dressed salads do not keep! In this case, i got 3 portions from my salad 2. Flavor: I actually found the dressing to be too much. I only added a little but felt my steak flavorful enough to not want dressing. My companion, who is not dietary restricted ate the harvest bowl. They demolished every gluten free bite! Well, except for the few they shared with me. The bowl had a grilled chicken. Which, was just that, chicken. Sweet potato, cauliflower, rice and some other leafy items. My companion loved this. I however found the sweet potatoes over cooked and though I love sweet potatoes, I did not love these. And we both agreed the curried cauliflower seemed out of place with the other ingredients. The curry was a flavor that was out of left field and did not complement its veggie friends. Lastly, the GF/df cookie. I was so excited to have a cookie option!!! I did however find this to not be one of the best GF cookies I've had. I am not DF and think this adaptation left MY tastebuds looking for butter . Though it feels like I am giving a poor review, this is quite the contrary. Our meals were loaded with fresh ingredients that some I enjoyed and some I didn't, but were worth the entire $18 spent on a salad. Go and enjoy the GF options knowing if the flavors listed are not for you, you can make substitutions! But honestly, skip the cookie! read more

First off the ambiance and vibe of this restaurant was so amazing. They truly got the decor perfect with this location. Now I know Aubergine kitchen is popular in Utah, so having a location in mesa was a great experience. The not so great was the parking lot. Parking was a bit tight especially at lunch time. The place had a consistent line which is great for a new place. The food was superb. I got the egg avocado bowl off the breakfast menu. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. My friend got the hot steak melt! Which she reported was freaking delicious. I got a cucumber mint lemonade and wasn't a fan. Other trays that passed by look so tasty as well! My next try will be a tri-tip bowl. I did get a brownie layer, which is gluten free vegan free. It was a sweet treat to end the meal. Definitely will be going back! Time for more locations throughout the valley read more

Conveniently located across the street from the shops at Dana Park Village Square. This is the type of restaurant where you order when you enter, then find a table and wait for a server to bring your items. The menu is extensive. Both my Lunch Bunch group and my book club went here the same month. We all loved it. I had the tri-tip madeira bowl with rice, brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. It was more than I could eat, so wound up taking half home for another meal. The cucumber mint lemonade is my new favorite drink with the hibiscus raspberry tea a close second. All entrees came with a yummy gluten free cheese roll. Their mac & cheese is also gluten free. This is definitely a place I will go back to. Also, they open for breakfast at 7:30. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for the longest time! Came here with a few girlfriends for lunch and we all enjoyed what we ordered! I got the chicken harvest bowl and it came with a cilantro sauce (has a nice kick to it), my friend ordered a steak bowl that also came with the same sauce and my other friend ordered the curry chicken bowl. I also tried their hibiscus tea and their cucumber lemon drink and they both were delicious and refreshing! All the dishes even came with a small cheese bread which was also good! I ate most of my food and left just content! I wish I could have ordered and tried more things but I'll come to come back for it! The ambiance was great! It kinda reminds me of Flower Child vibes but better food quality and cuter inside! Love the aesthetics of the inside! Service was great too and we got our food right away! read more

I've been wanting to try Aubergine since it opened due to its many gluten free + vegetarian options and finally tried it tonight. As soon as I walked in, I was really impressed with the space! The space is bright and clean with ample seating. The menu is large with many options for my husband with celiac as well as many vegetarian options for myself. The staff was really kind and helpful. Our food was good-we enjoyed the vitality bowl and I was happy I could replace the chicken with tofu. The tofu was cooked deliciously! However, despite ordering a "spicy" coconut curry, the curry was one of the most mild curries I've had. We'll definitely be back- but will order a different menu item next time. read more

Very nice healthy menu focused local eatery. Clean, bright and airy inside with outside seating available. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our group of five each tried a different entree and everyone enjoyed what they got. We did not have the deserts, but from the smoothies to various dairy products they were all unique in fresh and unique ingredients listed on the menu. The cheesebread is very unique in particular. Food came out promptly and nicely presented. We'd definitely return if we are in the area again. read more

I've eaten here several times and really do enjoy the food overall. So many good options that don't leave one feeling slightly ill afterward. The service is always pretty good as well. However, my one-star deduction is for the noise level. Like most modern restaurant spaces, the music is a little too loud and there are no room dividers to buffer the noise between tables. The tables and chairs at the front of the restaurant aren't very comfortable. The patio does seem to take care of these issues, but I haven't yet sat there. Overall, the effect is to look nice but not actually provide a great atmosphere for conversation, which is a bummer because it's a popular lunch spot for friends. read more

I'd never heard of this place before but a coworker suggested going for lunch as it's right by where we work. I really liked all the healthy options. There was a wide variety of types of bowls too, Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai etc. I got the Passion Salad and it was delicious! I love passion fruit and I've never seen a salad with passion fruit dressing on a menu before. I also like the little bread they give you. I'm not gluten free but this place is a great option for people who are since almost all of their items are gluten free. I also really liked the ambiance inside and it was nice and clean. The food came out quickly as well. read more

Beautiful, spacious restaurant, with outdoor seating. Peak at the menu before going in your first time because there are so many delicious options! Plenty of gluten free, and options for other allergen-free items. Service staff was very polite and quick. Has two parking spots for to-go orders. Despite their very fantastic food, and good service, we did not enjoy ourselves as much.Because the music inside was very, very loud. Our friends were with us and we could not enjoy having a nice conversation. So we tried moving outside where it's getting kind of hot, but mostly we had to fight off the flies. I ordered a variety of dishes to feed me for a few days and I am super satisfied with the fresh and tasty dishes. The coconut curry and the mango salsa rock! Now give me a bowl style anything and I. Am. There. ..which is why I HAD to try this place. I got the rio and OMG so delicious and fresh tasting. There was a bit of a wait but they were very busy. The man serving us also was very friendly and let us know when they were out of hummus for the night which was ok because we substituted it. I also got a hummus platter and a chocolate shake, both delicious. The shake wasn't too sweet so I didn't feel like I needed a nap after drinking it. Also you get a little cheese bread with your bowl. AMAZING. Overall, I am coming here every week for sure. The location is also very easy to get too and the interior is clean and cute. read more

1000/5, truly. The chicken harvest bowl is to die for! The chicken and dressing, sweet potato, veggies and rice are each so delicious and well seasoned. I'm a huge dressing person and barely needed any! The cheese bread is of course really good. The chai tea latte was just ok, I wouldn't get it again :) not as creamy as I like and the chai flavor wasn't strong at all. The interior is decorated so cute. I really enjoyed the food! The smoothie was delicious, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into their ingredients, balancing both health and amazing flavor. I also tried the baked chicken bites, which were pretty good. My only complaint is that the dipping sauce was a bit too liquidy--I wish it had been thicker. Overall, a great spot! Also it's a bit pricey but I think it's well worth it! read more

Ok, I'm going to start this review off in a way that maybe doesn't sound so great so bare with me. This place is so "millennial" coded it's a little unsettling. From everything beige & minimalist decor to Avril Lavigne on the radio down to the proponderance of bowls & healthy buzz words on the menu. It's so on trend I can feel the teenager punk rocker in the back head wake up from slumber and roll her eyes. That said it is immaculate, pretty, & has a very chill peaceful vibe. Apparently it's a UT chain? Service was quick & friendly. It also fills a needed roll for tasty food that checks all boxes when you're trying to do right with your body. You can easily come here for a little reward with your bestie post gym & not feel like you just undid all your hard work. After coming back a few times, we love the fresh food and healthy choice! The service can be hit or miss (they tend to get quite busy) but overall they're pretty much on it. Super upscale atmosphere even for a quick healthy dinner out! read more
