I find it interesting that the Manager responds to every review except for mine, and suddenly there's a whole bunch of fake reviews added. Kind of crazy to buy good reviews in order to compensate for the bad one. But I digress... My fiancé and I eat here often and have even brought several of our friends and family here as well, due to how much we love it. We consider ourselves pretty experienced which is why tonight's experience was so shocking and disappointing. During dinner, our grill suddenly caught fire and literally flared up/exploded while we were cooking. We never adjusted the heat or used the grill improperly, everything was left exactly as it had been set by staff. Based on what happened, we genuinely believe the grease trap had not been cleaned properly or there was a malfunction with the gas. We eat Korean BBQ weekly and have never seen anything like this happen before- it was terrifying. The fire happened twice. Half of my face was burned, and my fiancé's neck was also burned in the incident. It was serious enough that multiple nearby guests came over to ask if we were okay, along with our server running over to take control of the fire. Thankfully, our waiter handled the situation as best as he could. He was apologetic, attentive, and clearly concerned for us throughout the entire ordeal. What made this experience so upsetting was not just the fire itself, but the complete lack of concern from management. Despite knowing customers had been burned, the manager never once came to our table to check on us, apologize, or ask if we needed medical attention. When our waiter asked if anything could be done for us, management only offered a small 10% discount and still never acknowledged the situation personally. To be clear, we were not expecting a free meal or trying to take advantage of the situation. We understand that freak accidents can happen. What disappointed us most was the lack of empathy, accountability, and basic human concern after a dangerous incident that was completely outside of our control. Our appetite was completely lost due to the pain we were experiencing and we no longer felt it was safe to continue. We've always enjoyed coming here, which makes this even harder to write, but customer safety and proper grill maintenance should be taken seriously and when something does go wrong, management should care enough to at least check on the people who were hurt. read more

It's been a while since I had Korean BBQ and KPOT did not disappoint, it was awesome! The freshness, quality, and variety of options and fantastic service were some major highlights. I hope they maintain these standards over time and this could definitely become our go to spot... I'm so glad we finally stopped in :) We had a group of 7 and this place doesn't accept reservations so we decided to try for dinner on the earlier end- 645pm. When we arrived on Friday evening the place was already packed. I saw people waiting along the seating area near the bar. I was worried it might be a while. When I first spoke to the ladies up front they said for 7 of us, we could wait for one of the large tables that seats up to 10 ppl and has 2 grill areas in the table however that could be up to a 45 minute wait.... We all had come a bit hangry hoping it wouldn't take too long. After letting them know that it was probably not going to work for us, they said we could also take a smaller group booth that typically seats 6, and only has 1 grill but had zero wait time. We took that option without hesitation! I appreciated that they offered a solution to us, to prevent changing our dinner plans due to potential long wait time. The smaller booth worked out just fine for us, we are all friends and not afraid to throw some bows to reach for the meats lol. Having 1 grill with that many people was not ideal, but getting to eat right away, that was 100% ideal. And eat we did! The table opted for the AYCE KBBQ (it has to be all, so make sure everyone in your group came to eat!). We ordered every meat option (except chicken just due to it being basic) on the menu, and found there were a few favorites among the group-- beef short rib, spicy beef bulgogi, spicy pork belly, and smoked garlic pork belly. We did a few rounds of those items. We also really enjoyed the garlic shrimp, KPOT steak, salmon, jumbo shrimp and oysters. The meats were all tender and flavorful. We also really liked having the whole garlic cloves, mushrooms, onions, and pineapple. On the buffet everyone liked the chicken wings, fried shrimp, and various sides & sauces. We did not add the hot pot option (which was only $5 more with Kbbq dinner price) and I'm so glad. Our table was consistently jammed packed and there would not have been space for anything else. 6 of us ordered drinks from the bar, and found the bar menu was good. The old-fashioned cocktails were surprisingly good and we had 2 small bottles of soju for the table- lychee and peach. Those were a nice treat throughout the meal. From the time we opened up the iPad and placed our first order, the 2-hour window began and initially we thought we would be finished well before then, but we kept ordering more items and they came out so rapidly that time flew! We used up our entire time window no problem and left there feeling full but not overly full! It was a deliciously fun time! Our server was excellent, he was friendly and engaged with our banter in a fun way, he checked on us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed including switching out grill plates a few times. Hi there, I've been to Kpot 20 times or more, and I've always had a great time there with my husband. However, our last four visits have been disappointing. The staff mentioned that the meat-slicing machine was broken, which resulted in the meat being cut extremely thick. For hot pot, the slices were far too thick--one slice could easily have been cut into three thinner ones.and some time took so long to get meats slices. That said, the service, soup, and grill have still been good as always. I kindly suggest either fixing the meat-slicing machine or providing additional training for staff on slicing the meat properly. We hope that on our next visit, the thinly sliced meat for hot pot will be back. Thank you. read more

First time here and we loved it!! Totally worth the drive for us who live 40 minutes away... We know people who have recommended it the place to us. KPOT has quickly become one of my favorite AYCE spots. I love that I can enjoy both hot pot and Korean BBQ in one place, and the DIY dipping sauce bar is a huge plus. I love being able to customize my dipping sauces and sauce marinades. I'm usually not big on franchise Korean food, but this one fits the spot just perfectly. The quality of the meats was very good and noticeably fresh, which makes all the difference for an all-you-can-eat experience. The automated ordering system was interesting to me. It's basically an iPad where you can place your order at the table and it's very efficient. Efficiency is key, especially at a Korean Nall. You can eat restaurant because there's only a two hour limit for dining. For about $33.99 all-you-can-eat, it feels like a good value, especially for the amount of food and choice you get. We ordered the hot pot + Korean BBQ combo, which was about $5 extra and absolutely worth it for the variety. The menu is extensive, and two hours is more than enough time to try multiple items. Our server Danny was excellent his attitude and energy were our favorite part of the experience. He even created a custom sauce for us that was sweet and nutty, which both my daughter and I really enjoyed. We came during happy hour (12-5 PM), and the ambiance and service were great. Everything felt modern, clean, and well-organized. The only downside for me was the strict two-hour time limit. Psychologically, it made me a little anxious since I'm a slow eater but realistically, the time was sufficient to enjoy the meal and explore the menu. We ended up upgrading our lunch to the dinner for another 8 dollars so we can get the short ribs. A hack my brother did with the mussels is get some butter and chopped garlic and put it on the mussels so it would melt as they were on the grill....probably my favorite thing we had!! Wide array of meats, veggies, and seafood in a convenient individual hotpot. The sauce & condiments bar seemed to go on forever. My second visit for BBQ revealed some quality issues. The Short Ribs were cut paper thin (to mask toughness?), Finger Ribs were sinewy, and Pork Cheeks were sliced too thick to be palatable. I did like the Prime Brisket, Bulgogi, and Smoke Garlic Pork Belly so it was hit/miss. Consistency is salient though. They could get better Short Rib & put a per person limit on it if it hurts their bottom line. What was consistent both times was their business operations. Food orders came out in minutes. Empty plates were constantly being cleared. Water refills and grill changes, psychically well-timed. Workers were moving every second like it's Christmas week at LAX (in a good way). KPOT currently has over 100 locations in 36 states, bringing KBBQ & hotpot to people who think they can multi-task. I really like that this place offers the best of both worlds -- AYCE hotpot and KBBQ (for +$5 more to get both). That being said, the quality on either one is understandably a little lower than its competitors who focus on one or the other. You get your own hotpot, which is wonderful, but it is a little more on the bland side. As for the meats, they were lower quality cuts in that the meat is tougher to chew, and there's more fat than meat with some of the cuts. Otherwise, it was a great experience. I love their sides that are self-serve and buffet style. They have a really good variety of sides, sauces, and dessert, which other places don't have. The sauce bar is really fun. As others said, the place is clean and music is not raging loud like some other places so it's more comfortable. Service was okay, would have to agree that they are not good at picking up empty dishes. The restaurant is nice with brightly lit decor and shiny exhaust vents everywhere, and the staff is also very nice and attentive. They even sing happy birthday if you have a birthday guest at your table. However the ingredients are a bit subpar and put a damper on the overall experience. You can choose hotpot, kbbq, or both, but this review is based on the hotpot only. The meats were cut fairly thick and a bit chewy, which is a big negative for the older crowd with dental appliances. I cooked some of the meat on the rare side and that actually made it much more tender. So pro-tip, cook the meat very rare if you want tender (but probably not for the pork). The cool thing is you get an individual hot pot and you can change out the soup if you want. The sauces were also really good and they post some nice recipes to try for your dipping mix. They add a standard 18% tip for parties of 6 or more. Overall a nice experience but don't get your hopes up on super high quality ingredients. read more

We've been here before and previously had good food and service, but tonight was the complete opposite. The beef brisket, pork belly, and beef tongue were very poor quality. The slices were cut far too thick and large, making the meat extremely tough and chewy. We literally could not chew some of the pieces and had to swallow them whole. We politely asked if the meat could be sliced thinner so it would actually be edible, but were told they "couldn't slice it any thinner" and that was basically the end of the conversation. The manager, Gabe, was not accommodating at all. He listened to our concerns but did nothing to resolve them. Instead, he dismissed the issue by saying he had eaten the meat earlier and thought it was fine. For a Friday night family dinner at $34.99 per person, this was a terrible experience. We left disappointed and unable to enjoy our meal. Between the poor meat quality and the lack of customer service, we will not be returning. Management needs to take customer feedback seriously and improve both quality control and service if they want customers to come back. read more

Entire party must be present. We split up on the 2 large dining tables (10 people), and 1 booth (4 people). Ambiance is stuffy. Wear clothes you don't mind carrying the smell when you leave. We all did hot pot only. Beef cuts was just OK. Very tough and chewy. Curious to see if the KBBQ meat cuts are better. I liked the Healthy Herb broth, especially after cooking all of the ingredients. Pro-tips: Don't be afraid to use some of the hot pot items on your grill or vice versa! Highlights: I was really impressed by the service, the quality and the variety offered at K-pop. Compared to other all you can eat hot pot and barbecue places, KPOT exceeds in having the ability to order via the iPad and self servicing sides. The food comes out in a reasonable amount of time so don't feel like you need to over order everything all at once. Some food highlights for me are the hanger steak, jumbo shrimp, high mushroom and vegetable variety, oysters, and fresh cut watermelon. Lowlights: The servers are good about dropping off food, but not collecting empty plates from the table - we kept having to ask people to take plates away. We also had to ask for grill changes - not a huge deal, but it would be nice if they knew to check tables periodically and replace them as needed. There's a four minute limit in between iPad orders which again not a big deal, but sometimes we'd put in an order and submit and then someone decides they want to add one item and you have to wait four minutes regardless of how many items you had just submitted. When we walked in the place was not Smokey at all like other Korean bbq places. It looked very clean and had nice decor ! We decided to only do the Korean bbq and not the hot pot this time. The booth we got sat at was pretty big with plenty of room for our family of 5. They had a tablet where we can order the meat and veggies. There wasn't a limit of how many plates you can order at a time. Food came out within 5-10 min of placing the order. That was a plus ! They also had a buffet we can access where there were some Appetizers, sides, fruits, desserts and a sauce bar ! My most favorite meats were : Beef belly Kalbi Pork belly Our server was very attentive and changed our grill quite often. Which was super nice. You have the option to pick hot pot, kbbq or for an up charge, you can do both. You can also pay for dinner menu option if you want more food options. Place is very clean. Meat quality is not bad. We got here around 8:15pm on Sunday evening and sat near the bar while we waited. Bartender was cool and even gave recommendations on what to order. We were seated around 8:40ish but were told we only had a limited time left to order. Our server was nice, went over how to order, and checked on us often. The place looks cool inside. There's a sauce bar where you can make your own sauce. They also have some banchan items, appetizers and desserts as well. We decided to do both hot pot and kbbq which is $36.99/person. Two of us chose Thai tom yum while the other two chose golden chicken broth. We all agreed that the broths were a bit bland and needed more flavor. My friends asked for another pot of the golden chicken and split that into their own pots. I liked that there are lots of sauce options. Veggies off the menu seemed fresh. Meat was ok. The hanger steak was tough and chewy. Wouldn't order that again. I liked the Kpot steak though. Also didn't like that we had a limited time left to eat. Felt a bit rushed. Portions from the menu are small so you have to order in multiples. Table space is limited so all those plates take up a lot of space. The cucumber side from the sauce bar was pretty salty. I was full so didn't get to try any dessert. Overall, we thought it was alright. Maybe it was because it was late and because we felt rushed. We may have to give it another try at an earlier time. Oh my word!!!! I've never been to a K pot place before and now I want to take everyone! Apparently, this place is different than most in their energetic atmosphere and walk through buffet. I love everything about it. We were given a tablet to order at our leisure but we're still checked on SEVERAL times. They changed our grill plate at least 5 times in the hour we were there, replacing it with a clean one. The buffet was simple which was actually really nice to not over do it. But I was most impressed with the price. Three of us friends went and split the bill and before tip, leaving STUFFED was only $45! It was the best. read more
