as always, i continue to come back to this store.. this recent trip was the best experience ive had BY FAR. bryant was such a perfect rep. very positive and had answers for almost all my questions. he was helpful and explained why "this" wouldn't work with "that" and vice versa. i will say, it sucks that they didn't have any iphone 16s in stock, BUT considering they just came out (and everyone is getting them) i wasn't going to knock them down for it. bryant was also helpful in explaining the shipping information (since they didn't have 16s in store) and getting everything squared away for us! read more

Every time iv gone into this store it's been horrible customer service. I went in a week ago to get a new phone and had to leave after 30 minutes after no help. I ended up ordering online and went to turn in my phone per instructions and the manager Geraldo and employee Juan were NO help after being in there for a good amount of time when it should have been a simple turn in processes. They directed me to call and number who then told me I need to go back to the store to turn it. They purposely send you in circles and don't provide any help. I have been to this store three times across six or seven years. Each time, I walk away wanting to cxl 25 years of AT&T loyalty because the individuals here are that incompetent. The first time I visited years back, I sat there waiting for 45 minutes to be assisted and eventually walked out. They struggle to answer basic questions or solutions as you listen in to the needs of other customers and them respond with sales pitches and unsolicited options that are not why the customer is there to begin with. This last visit, happened again. Waited 30 minutes while two were helping other patrons for an egregiously long time, and the manager is just dilly dallying in the back. I eventually walked out. Then decide to assist myself, review an online purchase option to replace my phone, selecting this same store as the pickup location. It clearly indicated my inventory was in stock there with multiple in inventory. I purchased it for pickup, it advised my order should be ready for collection in two hours, so I swing by to pick up my paid purchase and am told I cannot be assisted because my order is "processing". THEN PROCESS IT. What are we waiting for? It should take two minutes. I show the receipt with my order confirmation, grab my phone THAT I PURCHASED, and I can be on my way. I listen to the manager give another frustrated patron attitude, then give it to me when I press on lunacy of the situation. Larry, Curly, and Moe working here. I will never step foot in this incompetent building again. Within two minutes of me exiting, my order is cancelled and refunded indicating my order is not in stock. BS. The manager cancelled it and zero'd out the inventory. The multiple in stock didnt disappear in the blink of an eye like that or it would have refunded at time of purchase, not two hours later, two minutes after I walk out in frustration. Thankfully, I immediately purchased my replacement phone for pickup at Parkway Plaza 10 minutes away. I got a call within 15 minutes that my order was ready for collection and I spent four whole minutes before I was fully processed. In and out, faster than a pit crew replacing tires on a race car. Unbelievable the difference in experiences. 7 years, absolutely horrible each time. Never again. Take your business to literally ANY other AT&T option. Not this one. There's a clear reason this place is barely ranked 2 stars. Corporate and ownership really need to keep an eye on this place. Driving business elsewhere. read more

I don't even know where to start, honestly. ATT seems to teach their employees customer service doesn't matter and that they're so big they could care less if people discontinue service. You're treated like a worthless waste of time here. They don't care whether they have your business or not. I went in on 1-1-26 with an unlocked phone. I was very bluntly told they couldn't do anything to activate the ESim because of the type of account I had. It would work with a regular ATT account, just not mine. I was told "go return it and get an ATT phone." Needless to say, I was a bit irritated as absolutely nowhere was this presented as a possible challenge. As I turned to walk out, the salesman sarcastically tried to sell me their fiber internet with a wry grin on his face. I went home that night and activated the phone with T Mobile. Went to T Mobile today and transferred my number and received EXCEPTIONAL service. I followed that up going back to this store to discontinue my phone line. I walked in and the employees asked what I was there to do and I told them I wanted to cancel my service. They took my information down and checked me in. 35 minutes later with my family waiting, an associate helps me. He immediately tells me they can't discontinue service in this store. I clarified that they can do everything here except discontinue a line, and he confirmed. He told me to call customer service and gave me a business card. I said it was absolutely unacceptable that I told the initial employee what I was here to do, and they made me wait 35 minutes to tell me they couldn't do anything. I said the customer service like this is why I'm leaving. The employee didn't care, offer an apology, or anything. He just told me well go online and cancel your line, it'll take 5 minutes. My family has a combined 80+ years and two retirements from ATT, and they're embarrassed and don't even use ATT services anymore and haven't for years. That should tell you something. When I told this associate this, he said that's ok, they can cancel too. Not a single care about losing 6+ customers, especially with a new fiber internet connection in our area. Absolutely pathetic customer service here and I wouldn't wish ATT on my worst enemy. I'd go without phone and internet before I ever signed up with them again. The service I received from the acting manager/supervisor, Geraldo, was unacceptable. He offered no solutions and was dismissive, even showing an attitude toward AT&T's tech support. Years later I walked into this store once again and atleast the wait was improved, only 30-45 minutes now. However they could not assist with a new phone purchase, and the info they provided me on how to get said phone caused me a runaround and ended up having to purchase the phone online and wait for shipping. Not sure what the point of a physical location is if they don't have the stock on hand that is listed on their own app / website. I will express I never have issues when I call the man support line or use online to conduct business, it seems only when visiting a physical location. read more

I want to thank the person with terrible customer service who opened on December 26th. I came into the store for help and after waiting for the store to open due to technical difficulties- which is understandable, no big deal) was told I'd have to call the number instead of even attempting to help me set up my new phone and take off a suspended line.. So, instead, I went to Verizon and finally switched my service after 15 years of ATT. Now I have a phone that works in my building at work, AND it's less expensive(even with my military discount). I wouldn't have made that move if not for the poor customer service at this location, so thank you. read more

Worst Cell Phone Service Switching from Verizon to AT&T was the worst mistake of my life. The salesperson promised me a specific monthly rate, but I ended up being charged something completely different. My first bill was $486, when I was previously paying $140. I couldn't get anything resolved -- the salesperson set me up with a more expensive plan while promising I'd pay the same as I did with Verizon. AT&T refuses to take responsibility for what their salespeople promise just to get you to switch. In the end, they don't care what lies are told to sign you up for a 3-year contract. They sell phones at AT&T they don't answer them. I tried calling the store to see if they had a certain phone in stock and after several attempts, I was unable to get in touch with somebody. I went ahead and drove down to the store. All the reps were standing around. I told one of the them that I tried calling before having to driving down. He told me that they were probably having a large influx of calls coming in. The phone I was looking for was not in stock, which is not why I'm giving him one star. However, I went outside and proceeded to call the phone line again, and guess what??? No one answered... they do not take calls at any point at this location. read more

Called and they assured me it was in stock and the order should hit their system in 30 min. The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a phone company. We were trying to move our cellphones from Verizon to AT&T. Somehow without any authorization they also moved my office's landline to a non-existent cellphone without a voicemail, so my company's clients have not been able to call us for over a month. Nobody at AT&T has been able to fix this problem, and they billed me for this line that they stole. When I refused to pay, they suspended our mobile lines as well, so now they've basically stolen all my phone lines. read more

Poor! Set an appointment for 1030. Arrived at 10:15 people were waiting outside of the store. An employee close the door and was only helping one customer at a time. Making other customers way outside in the heat of summer. Even though I made an appointment, I was told the people that arrived first even without appointments would be seen before me. But they didn't know how long it would be. I waited half an hour in the heat after my scheduled appointment time and there were still six customers in front of me. I ended up having to leave. I rolled up to the East up they had outside and Justin and Juan helped me Add A Line for my daughter. I never even had to get out of my car. Only took about 20 minutes, Which would have been shorter if the iPad didn't crash. Wasn't their fault. Juan was Polite and Professional and checked in with me each step of the way to make sure all my questions were answered. JUSTIN is a Phenomenal Leader and has made this a Flagship Store! Sometimes I want to go their just to hang out. All the Staff are super friendly and welcoming. It's very Refreshing to get Quality Service! I will be back! Pre Review I went here to Add my son to my Plan and had the Same experience. The staff was warm and let me stay in the store with my kids. I had taken all the Covid Precautions and they recognized that. The rule was 1 person at a time. It's great to see that they are Human and realize sometimes accept ions need to be made. Complete confusion and lack of common sense from employees (I dealt with two) made my experience at this store unpleasant. I sat down with one of the store representatives and let her know I was there to pick up a new phone as I upgraded my device online. She then gathered my information (provided my mobile #, I.D. and exact model of phone I was picking up). She then gets up, discusses something with her colleague/manager and they both head into a storage room where I assume the new inventory is held. After about a few minutes they both come out and the colleague/manager lets me know that online orders are not shipped to the store. I am starting to get pretty confused and then let them know that this was the store where I selected to pick up my phone when I upgraded online. I was like, "This is 50 Town Centre Drive, right?". The colleague/manager replies, "Yes, but there are many different stores here at that address". Now I am getting really confused and ask her, "But this is the only AT&T store at this address, correct?". She replies, " Yes". Then I have to actually let her know I received a text message letting me know that my phone was ready to be picked up there, before she starts to finally understand that my phone is actually there. She then starts to mention something about fraud and how they have to be careful. I am not sure how we got to that point, maybe I looked suspicious to them for whatever reason. They had my info and the model of the phone I was picking up. With that info, it should have been a slam dunk. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service at this store. I order my new iphone 15pro max online and i received the 15pro instead. The phone was delivered with their Asurion representatitve (Dylan). After he opened the seal i noticed that the phone was 15pro and informed him, he said to go to an att store and inform them with the issue. I arrive at Santee store and first thing they tell me its a $55 charge for return/exchange and without even listening to my issue the older guy walks away and not showing any interest in listening to me. my girlfriend and i tried to update her phone on 7/19/22. They didn't have one she wanted in stock (which is fine, can't expect them to have everything g in stock) so they were able to ship one the next day but it just never came. Went back into the store on 7/23/22 to ask about it and they said nothing they could do about the order. They ended up having the exact phone she wanted in store... but for some reason they couldn't let her have that one. They said they had to cancel the order, that never came, first. The employee helping us said she would put in on hold in a safe in the back of the store so once the order was cancelled, she could ge that one..(would take about 48 hours). 48 hours later, 7/25/22, we walk in to grab the phone. The order is not yet cancelled and the phone that was on hold for her has been sold. Absolutely ridiculous and very disappointed with this service. Getting an upgrade on a phone shouldn't be this difficult. read more

Att in general has terrible customer service but this store has by far the worst customer service I have experienced. The manager Justin is zero help He talks a big game but never returns your calls. I been dealing with same issue for over a year. They took my trade in phone and never gave me credit for it and promised a promotional rate for upgrade and it never went through. I would call that theft by taking somebody's phone and not paying them for it. Will be switching my service as soon as phone is paid off. This location treated my husband very poorly. My husband went in to upgrade his phone an hour before closing and an associate by the name Juan refused to help him said that they did not have the phone. When online it showed it was available. The next day I called to make sure the phone was there an employee told me they had it in stock so my husband went back to this location for them to tell him there was nothing he can do for us. We then spoke to a manger by the name of Diane who had horrible customer service skills. I have worked in retail as a store manager for ten years never would I ever treat a customer this way. I don't like to do reviews but this experience has been awful. Finally we were able to go to the El Cajon location where everyone was helpful and respectful. Went to return a phone and plan i had for 8 days and they told me its been 2 weeks since ive had the phone. I read the agreement it says 2 weeks since you got the phone you can return along with that i got the phone online and they rejected it being returned online that i have to go to the store in santee Ca once i got there they said its been 2 weeks when its only been 8 days since i got the phone. And now i got a letter for collections because of this and my credit is impacted because of shady att practices. Dont trust att they dont go by the law 2 week return policy. read more

Beware! If you are thinking of switching over to ATT and they tell you they'll waive their activation fee, they're lying!! It was only after we ported our numbers over that our representative told us he couldn't waive the activation fee even though just 10 minutes prior he said he should be able to. No big deal since we wanted to change carriers. After some issues with our first bill we went back to the store to find out they NEVER waive the activation fee!!! The representative should have been honest with us upfront and told us that ATT does not waive activation fees. After spending 90 minutes in the store our representative did not apply the correct discounts to our bill which resulted in another 45 minutes on the phone with customer service. read more

My dad bought a smart phone last week, it was a little confusing for me, so we decided to exchange it for something that would be easier to use. Martin greeted us when we walked in the store and pointed us in the direction of the android phones. He then said he could get the already purchased phone set up so it would be very simple for my dad to use. He removed a bunch of apps he didn't need, made the homepage very basic for the features that my dad uses, was extremely patient, and explained how do use it. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and wasn't annoyed that the Samsung phone was hard for us to use. I am extremely happy with Martin's customer service and my dad was also very impressed with how great he was to work with and how he was able to simply explain things to us. Went to the store to add a line for my son. Spencer was very helpful and even said I was eligible for the nursing discount. He said to return to the store with my employee badge and printed paystub. Fast forward to this morning (which is Father's Day) we go to the store and meet Isaih. After almost an hour they are unable to apply the discount due to software update. He suggests I call 611 and do this myself. Why are the employees making false promises causing me to waste an hour in the store with my family on Father's Day and not to mention the 1 hr 30 min round trip it takes to drive there. This is very unprofessional and I have been a loyal customer since 2010 and this makes me rethink my cell phone carrier altogether. Don't waste your time in this store. read more
