I am writing this review to report an egregious experience on 5/1/26 at approximately 3 PM. Two female employees willfully removed me from the store when I clearly explained that I am a contract customer with current service and my phone is locked and unable to not only call their customer service, but no access to emergency 911. That is a violation of FFC laws as a utility. I will make it simple. Here is the email I have sent to the FCC, PUC and CA Attorney General Citizen complaint department: "Dear FCC,etc, I am a Verizon customer, and on May 1, 2026, at 9824 Mission Gorge Road, Suite A, Santee, CA 92071, I was denied essential service despite having a locked phone and being unable to contact emergency services. As a utility, Verizon has a duty to ensure my access. This failure put me at serious risk. As I walked through the store, several customers expressed confusion and concern, also unsure of what to do. Wednesday April 14th at 3 PM. The guy that helped me. Was so rude!! Couldn't be bothered, made no effort to solve the problem that I had with our corporate account. Supposedly went back and spoke to his supervisor. came back out and gave me a 1 800 number to call. this guy has no people skills. If he hates his job so much, I have no idea why he's there? Just collecting a check, poor customer service. It's always painful going to the cellphone store In the first place. But his guy was a real piece of work. I immediately drove to the Verizon store on Balboa and Genesee, and the young lady "Erin" that helped me was awesome!!!. She called my corporate office. Below zero stars for my experience at this Verizon Santee location. I walked into this Verizon location in Santee on February 18, 2026 to pay my business phone bill like I've been doing for the past three years. I walked up to the kiosk like I've done the past three years and when I entered my phone number to pay my bill, I noticed the prompts had changed. The prompts advised me to see an associate. I walked up to an associate whose name is Harrison and he asked how he could help. I told Harrison that I had always paid my phone bill at the kiosk because it was more convenient but it wasn't allowing me to and he advised me that I couldn't pay my business bill at the kiosk.. I informed Harrison that I had always paid my phone bill at the kiosk, and he replied by saying " I've worked here for 3 1/2 years and you can't pay your business bill at the kiosk". I asked Harrison if he was calling me a liar and he responded with "yes". I told him that I would prove that I had always paid at the kiosk and I walked out to my car and got a receipt from the last time I made a payment, which was January 21, 2026. I came back in and handed Harrison the receipt and he looked at it and said "this doesn't prove anything". Clearly, the receipt was a Verizon receipt from Santee location out of the kiosk (Which showed that I had paid my business account at the kiosk). I asked him for an apology because I clearly showed him that the information he gave me about business accounts not being able to be paid at the kiosk was incorrect. Which also proved him wrong. Harrison responded by saying. " I don't have to apologize for anything.". I asked him who the manager was and two female employees responded simultaneously " I am". I asked who's in charge and one of them responded " I am, i've worked here for 18 years). I think her name was Pamela. The manager (Pamela) , who had overheard everything replied "he doesn't have to apologize to you". I don't believe either of them dealt with the situation properly so I asked her who I could contact in regards to this entire issue of terrible customer service and she said to call 611. I have receipts that clearly show payments were made at the kiosk and I also had a family member who made a bill payment for that same business account at that kiosk in December. It's a shame that Pamela, the manager who has worked 18 years and Harrison that has worked there for 3 1/2 have no clue about the kiosk because they're claiming that business account bills can't be made at the kiosk and I clearly have the receipts that show that I have been making those payments at the kiosk. All I wanted was an apology from Harrison for calling me a liar after I clearly showed receipts of previous kiosk payments. And the manager Pamela should have deescalated the contoversy instead of replying "he doesn't have to apologize to you". To make things even worse in regards to their customer service skills, after I paid my bill, she told me to "leave the premises". This is abhorrent customer service and managerial skills by both Harrison and Pamela, and should not be tolerated. read more

I came into the Verizon store off Mission Gorge Blvd in Santee CA in an attempt to lower my bill. I had 2 phones I was making payments on and 2 lines, 1 for each phone. I paid off 1 phone and closed that line. Now, I requested to pay off my other phone, IN ORDER TO LOWER MY BILL. Don't you think it would behove a company to remind its customers when a phone is on a promotional program that is paid off for free if payments are made on time throughout one's contract? Not this Verizon store, nor manager. He's the ASIAN manager in case you want to know who's looking to take advantage of their customers. Fast forward to removing my cell services due to the above experience. Now, I only have internet. HOWEVER, when transferring cell services, I elected to keep my home internet, as I was quoted $60 a month and my other option of Cox was $55. FAST FORWARD to getting my first bill for Verizon internet only.....$87.00. HMMMMM, where ever did the addition $27 come from. When I go to the Verizon store in Santee CA to personally cut ALL ties from Verizon, the same cat whisker manager made the final approach in astonishment on why I, LIKE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY, would ever want to leave such an honorable establishment. My courteous manager offered a $65 credit, which required listening to him plead that Verizon is never wrong, and then SHAMED me for still wanting to leave rather than listen to his nonsense. I was offered a $65 credit towards my last bill, but elected to leave the store with my dignity along with my FULL & FINAL bill intact. Why show charity now when all that ever happens when I enter this specific location is yet another scam. I stayed with Verizon for 14 years throughout my military service. What a shame! But, knowing today was the LAST experience I will EVER have with them or their subpar staff makes it worth it. With so many cell & wireless providers, why waste your time with hacks and crooks like the manager at Mission Gorge Blvd, Santee. I won't be anymore, and neither should you!! read more

This would be zero stars if it was an option. The manager had a poor attitude and was unhelpful after one of his associates made an error with our purchase. Instead of correcting the problem and getting our new phone setup, the manger told us that we would have to pay the taxes again even though we had just paid them the previous night. We showed him the receipt and it didn't matter to him. He was determined not to help us. I asked him for the contact information for his boss after he said he would provide it, but then played games with me and would only provide the email address. I left frustrated and with a phone that wasn't working because they refused to fix THEIR error. I highly recommend using another carrier or find a different Verizon store that has a more helpful staff/manager. If anyone at Verizon sees this, please help!! read more

All I can say is this: when you visit this Verizon store, expect to wait... and wait... and wait... on the plus side, there is always somebody ready to greet you when you walk in (unlike some of their competitors who don't even acknowledge that you are standing there). -Stars. To whoever it may concern: My husband and I have been faithful customers of Verizon for years-always paying our bills on time, never complaining or anything. We were good customers. Recently, we decided to switch to ATT completely because it saves us more money with the type of phone plan/internet plan we have. This is understandable given how expensive things are nowadays. We understand it's hard to lose customers, but people have to do what they need to do. Upon switching our companies, and shipping back our phones, Verizon deleted our customer account and proceeded to tell us we would receive a final bill of a specific amount. The problem? We can't see the bill or access the bill information to see exactly what we are being charged because our "account" doesn't exist anymore. I think this is highly unprofessional because it causes problems such as the ones I will be explaining. Firstly, we needed to bill to give to ATR so they are able to cover it. When we tried to access the information for the bill we couldn't. Our accounts don't exist anymore. My husband called to ask if we could somehow get our bill information faster so we could apply for the ATT rewards process ASAP. They said "no we cant. We don't have that information." You would if you hadn't deleted our account immediately. You can delete our account fast but you can't send the bill fast; interesting. Secondly, what are we being charged for exactly. We want to see it. We have the plan, we had the devices, we have paid all of the previous bills. Show us the details. We have customer rights and you can't just give us a number and say "here it is" with no information on why. We have received MULTIPLE different final bill numbers. And, now, at least two different final bills. Still with not information. Also, they charged us for an iPad line AFTER we switched companies and they closed our account, which we had specifically said we don't want upon getting the iPad, then said "well if you wanted to close that out you had to do it manually." No one told us this! How can you expect customers to just magically understand something like that? They should have been clear about the separate iPad like and about closing it. Instead, it feels unprofessional and malicious to not include that and then tell us after charging! All of the customer representatives, except one, has been rude and given u the runaround with "I don't knows" and "I can't do that" and "we are unable". No one says the same information and if we try and explain that another rep told us this statement, they says "well we don't know anything about that." How does that help? And why isn't theirs communication between departments? Finally, when we spoke to a representative about the bill, we were told from their mouth that we could pay the final bill on May 15th. This would help because we are waiting for ATT to approve the rewards cards. My husband specifically stated to NOT auto draft and the represent said "well will not sir". Today they auto drafted with zero consent and unauthorized. They are currently giving my husband another runaround and being rude because we are angry. We have a right to be angry because this is, not only horrible customer service, but unprofessional, malicious and stressful. We understand that Verizon has to make money and we know the commission world can be volatile, but at the expense of what? People? Faithful customers? This is very upsetting. We will NOT be returning to Verizon. We will NOT be recommending Verizon. We will have NOTHING to do with Verizon ever again. read more

I went to disconnect my services and return equipment at this store, first day I went they informed me their customer support was down and to return another day. I didn't have an issue with that so I returned two days later, and another employee told me to call customer service. Since I couldn't get through with them I went through the app to chat with a live agent who said it was disconnected and to return the equipment to the store. I go back a 3rd time and Maribel said it was still active and she couldn't help me. I said I'm tired of the run around I'm going to leave this equipment here and handle the disconnection over the phone she said that's fine, but we're going to charge you $240 and put the equipment in our recycling. I wonder why they are even working there if they can't help customers? Either way I filed a complaint and a rep on the phone said they would have higher management investigate this store, which given their 2.5 rating should've been done a while ago. read more

My daughter and I went to the Verizon store in Santee today to upgrade our iPhones. The gentleman that helped us was Harrison. This man is a genius! He was very helpful and extremely patient. I had a seven-year-old iPhone 8+. It was no longer being supported by Apple. My daughters was newer but she wanted to get the latest so she could help me. Harrison handled everything for both of us, answered all our many questions, and had the patience of Job. Having everything transferred from old to new on two phones takes a while so I had time to notice other patrons in the store getting service. They all seemed pleased with the help they were getting. Been a loyal Verizon customer for a long time. Always have had great customer service. That is no longer the case. I spoke with Verizon employees at a local store and they walked me through getting an upgraded iPhone. I turned in my iPhone, worth over $600 used according to them, and the remaining balance would be just over $200 for a promo deal. I paid the remaining off in deposits. I recently changed my plan with Verizon due to the bill being very high. The online support said I was good to go and that my new plan would only be $50. Perfect! I was charged the $50 the following month and all was well...until recently they changed my bill to now over $80 stating that I have not paid off the new device!!! That is NOT what the store said originally. Now I'm being forced to pay off the phone when the phone was paid off with the value of the trade in and the deposits. Customer service basically says "oh well". I will never do business with Verizon again. Officially changing to T-Mobile and I recommend EVERYONE to never use Verizon as they will lie to you to choose a deal that doesn't exist and then steal your money. EDIT: After chatting with yet another agent, they finally came up with a resolution to bring back promo credits that I was owed. I would give 5 stars but due to the week long headache this caused, and the fact that this resolution could have been made earlier, I can only give 4 stars. read more

If I could give 10 stars for today, I would. I went to this location after 2 hours of dealing with the Verizon authorized dealer in Parkway Plaza. By the time I got to the Santee store, none of my phones were working, every single thing on my account was messed up. I walked in holding back the tears. Thank you to the manager whose name I did not catch for calming me down, checking me in and bringing me water. Thank you to Lizbeth for spending literally hours with me fixing all the problems on my account, thank you to Arlette for stepping in to help and handle what needed to be handled and thank you to Jordan for being there the entire time offering guidance and some laughs. It took 3 hours for them to fix the mess that was made on my account. Oh and in case you are wondering what I originally went in to Parkway location for, maybe you think I needed something super complex: Buy a phone, put my old number on that phone and a new number on my old phone. Very very basic. P.S. I had to go in today Aug 6, 2025 to finalize everything and was greeted by the same manager, same great service from him and both Arlette and Jordan. We cancelled our service to switch to another carrier, however we began to receive bills even higher than we paid previously, just for our tablets. Upon trying to remove the tablets from the account, we were informed that we no longer have an account. But we are being charged money for iPads on a Verizon account. So in essence they can charge you hundreds of dollars and give you little to no way to stop it. We went to the corporate store and were met by Kaleb. Kaleb is the most condescending ridiculous person I have ever encountered. Somehow assumes that a customer is supposed to know every detail of the structure of a phone company. Saying "we should have known" that cancelling our phones prior to the tablets would result in this issue. Also told me and my wife that we should have known that the Verizon store near our house isn't actually a Verizon store, despite the large Verizon logo on the storefront and the employees with the Verizon name badges and the Verizon phone lines we purchased there. I dont leave to many reviews but this was worth it...we have been Verizon customers for over 19 years and over the last 6 months were experiencing problems with our service... my wife and I spent hours upon hours on the phone trying to get help from the customer service team through 611 with no solutions..just frustrations...last ditch resort we went into the Santee store and thank God we happened to have the good fortune of having JORDAN as our service staff at the Santee location. JORDAN along with ALEX (management team) were able to resolve every issue we were experiencing. Jordan took the time and had the experience to trouble shoot everything and Alex backed his decisions and they accommodated our family. Jordan even followed through with 2 more visits to further fine tune our service needs with excellence. He took our frustrations and turned them into loyalty for Verizon. Terrible service. Four attempts to transfer a phone line to a new account. Went into the store and waited two hours to be told we would have to come back the next day. We returned the next day with an appointment. After twenty minutes the service representative said he didn't have the ability to transfer a phone line and gave us a 888 number to call. We called Andrew and spent 35 minutes with him and got all the authorization we needed but he couldn't complete the transfer due to the SIM card being "to old". He set up a 7pm appointment for us the next day and said he would personally call us to help us finish. We walk into the store and they see our 7pm appointment but are closing at 7pm. They tell us to call the same phone number again. We call it and the phone line also closed at 7pm and no one can help us. After four attempts to transfer this phone line I gave up. I have had a ongoing issue now for 5 months with out home service they required me to bring it in and then told me i needed to purchase a new box , which i did .. now the new boc will not connect they have created a ticket after spending 5 hours with customer support . i waited a week for the next scheduled appointment , that morning i received a email stating the issue was fixed , i have now been with customer support going through the same thing and trouble shooting with the same issues .. nothing was done ! same poor communication as with the language barriers from their support and trying the same old techniques without listening that this has been tried and getting the same results ! She spent more time than necessary to help us with this complicated process thanks to Xfinity Mobile. It took three days and several visits. Walked in and was greeted by staff member Jordan immediately. I needed to exchange a phone after being sent the incorrect one from Verizon and after waiting two weeks, two in person visits to two other stores and multiple calls to their customer service, with no help, I was able to get a competent friendly person to assist me. Jordan had the incorrect phone returned and a new one ordered for me within 10 minutes. It arrived the very next day by noon as he said it would. Every time I go to this Verizon I get mad about something! Nothing has changed in that regard. This time the salesperson couldn't show me phone color samples in person, just on his iPad. Could have done that myself at home! THEN, when I finally decided on purple, he said "We don't have purple in stock." It's ok, I saw one a woman had just bought and the purple looked like black! No samples of the gold iPhone 14 either OR any other colors! He said AFTER I buy the phone I can see what it looks like! Ha! I chose silver but it looks mostly white. Was this a joke? Ok, Apple doesn't know their colors. I read there was a new yellow phone out but he didn't even mention that and I would have chosen yellow. Cost $30 charge to transfer my data (which took forever). Used to be no charge. It also cost $35 to "upgrade" my phone. Seriously?! What a BS charge! Went home to wait for the transfer and when I got back, the greeter said they don't have my phone. Hahaha! What could I say?! "Ok, I guess I'll leave now even though I just spent $1400 here for a new phone and don't have it." She was confident there was no phone here in my name. Eventually she realized she checked the wrong list, perhaps a list for their mail deliveries? I wish I had bought my phone etc elsewhere.
