I have to say, this place is incredibly welcoming. The Sunday ambiance was perfect, with live music creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the chef went out of his way to make us feel right at home. Of course, the pièce de résistance was the beautifully prepared, delicious food. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back--with more friends and family next time!

Came here for lunch with a friend Sunday afternoon Absolutely no one there Our waitress was super attentive a little too much for my liking but she was cool lol She made us a special drink I wasn't a fan because it was very syrupy but she said all the pineapple juice was gone due to the penny mimosa they have at brunch which seems to be very popular here The food was good ! Flavorful a little different for me but delicious . I appreciate the bread that comes And they gave us a free dessert for it being my first time Cherry on top the chef came to say hi!

I visited Astor's Table with some coworkers. Everything was amazing! It was such a great experience. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who held the door and welcomed us "home". We were seated and given a tour of the menu and some suggested options to try. Once the order was placed and the appetizers arrived, the chef came out, introduced himself and spoke to us what we liked best and answered questions about each item. He also came out after the mains were served to make sure everything was being enjoyed. We ordered a few sampler platters for appetizers, as well as oxtail, antelope and ostrich for the mains as we wanted to get a taste of everything. There was nothing that didn't taste amazing! This was the first time we tried camel, kangaroo, antelope and ostrich. We were surprised at how flavorful each of them and the other items were. The adventure was topped off with a slice of the most amazing key lime pie, courtesy of the chef. We will definitely be returning!

Love the feel of the restaurant. It has a welcoming "small dining" or "family cafe" feel. The decor and feng shui of the restaurant is fitting for dining for families, just the friends or date day. The food is delicious! It says farm to table in the name and you can tell that it's fresh. There is a wait for the food but it's because they cook to order. This is not a place where you come to get your food fast. Waiting comes with great and fresh food. I had the oxtail breakfast and my husband had the fish and grits breakfast. Because we don't eat pork, we don't have the grits because they use bacon drippings in their grits. The menu has something for everyone: pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters. Today's service was a little slow with drink refills and condiments we needed but the server did tell us they were not only cooking for the restaurant but also a big event that was being catered off the premises. They also have a space that seems like it can be reserved for private or large party dining. I definitely will be back!!

I had seen Astor's Table somewhere on TV or social media. It was a video and I can't remember where I saw it. Anyway, we decided to stop here for dinner on our way home from Galveston. The service was excellent. The chef/owner came out and shook our hands and welcomed us home. That was a great touch. There is such a variety on their menu that it's hard to decide what to order. That includes their appetizers. We wish we lived closer so we could come back and try more dishes. Anyhow, we had the chicken empanada and the beef empanada as an appetizer. We got one of each that we split between myself and my husband. We could have ordered two each but we weren't sure of the size at the time. We ordered them to be baked rather than fried. They were delicious along with the chimichurri sauce. We preferred the beef, but the chicken was excellent too. We ordered the beef kebabs, which has a name on their menu that I can't remember at the moment along with their sweet yellow rice and veggies. What a presentation! You have to go look at the pictures. The kebab was hanging over the dish and we would slide off a chunk at a time as we ate. The yellow rice was slightly sweet and had raisins. My husband is a fussy eater, but he loved the rice! The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. We had to try the desserts because how often can you order the South African Trio of Desserts in a restaurant? The Milk Tart was slightly sweet and pleasant. The pudding (can't quite remember the name of it) was hard. They were out of the peppermint crisp so they offered us to sample a new Keylime pie they had. That was delicious! We were disappointed that the restaurant was not more busy because they have such a unique menu and the food was amazing. Will stop by there again on our way through the area. Warning: The Peri Peri Sauce is spicy!!

Thoughtful fresh food and great service! I had a delicious (and beautiful) salad, empanadas (YUM) and was treated to some tasty cheesecake! Chef is involved with guests - very welcoming - but won't share the dressing recipe! :) I sat inside but the outside area is very inviting. Only tip: the restrooms really need an update / refresh

The first thing I'm going to mention backwards is that the Chef came around to each table. The food was different and delicious. The wings were crispy and flavorful. The French toast was ok but would've been better had the batter been a little sweeter. The grits were creamy and hit the right place for my palate. The server Travis gave gear suggestions and was always there when needed. An excellent quality for a server. The decor was classy and fit the theme of the restaurant.

The service was very quick and attentive from the moment we walked in. We chose to sit on the patio and I loved it! Even though it is so hot during the summer, it felt breezy under the patio and it was so nice to get fresh air. We ordered the african spicy fried chicken empanadas and one beef fried empanada. The fried chicken empanada was sooo good, the stuffing was flavorful and balanced nicely with the amount of crust. The crust itself was crispy and thin. I highly recommend these. I did not like the beef empanada as much because I felt like it was a little bit salty and there was less crust but it was still pretty good.

I can't believe I have not left my review. This is the longest houston restaurant week menu I've ever seen! This place was packed to the max, the food presentation was amazing. I really love that one of the menu features which is an around the world theme, is presented with those country flags. I never seen anything like that before. Wasn't something that I ordered on this visit, but it definitely inspired me to return and explore the menu much more. Chef Casey is the BEST TO EVER DO IT. I admire his charismatic personality he makes time even when he's the most busy, this man makes time to introduce himself and greet each table. I never seen or felt so seen and valued, on going to a place on a whim. This makes me want to bring my entire family. Dining here feels like you're visiting your uncles home. It really feels like home. Oh yeah, and your girl STILL NEEDED SOME MILK with that heat that was delivered from that jollaf rice and fish I ordered. My table guest had the ox tails. I'm not an ox tail lady but trying theirs was magical... I'm talking tender, full of flavor, NO FAT, well not in the part I tasted. The gravy with the ox tails was nice and creamy just like you want it.... Not watery or to thick, it was perfection on the texture throughout. I look forward to returning here. Only flaw was the rice was a little under cooked for my guest and chef Casey repaired/replaced that with grace. I loved it here.

I chose this location for the day of my birthday...and I am so glad that I did. My first time experience was so fun, light, and welcoming. Parking was a breeze as they have a lot with ample parking. No valet needed!!! Yay!!! They have an indoor, outdoor and covered outdoor seating options. The DJ arrived and provided a music playlist that was catered to his audience. I noticed other patrons from various ethnic backgrounds which is always a good sign and plus! A lot of families and single couples were enjoying brunch time. The owner/chef came around to make sure everyone was doing great....he obliged me with a birthday tres leche piece of cake! Strangers sang happy birthday to me...:) I chose the peri peri breakfast plate and really enjoyed my wings. A highlight was the mystery mimosas and after the first one, they are a penny each!!! I am adventurous and love mystery...hence my addiction to the A&E channel..,I digress;). Having mimosa after mimosa surprises was a win!! I thoroughly enjoyed my day and I am planning my return. Next time I would like to try a dinner option.

I could've sworn I did this review already with pics but it disappeared. Ugh. Great place. Easy shared parking. Nice service. We sat on patio but it was too hot in May so we moved inside. We ordered a mezcal margarita. They had penny mimosas but we weren't going to drink much. We ordered a ceviche's and the steak meat that hangs from the skewers. Food was delicious. Overall I loved my experience and do want to return. read more

Was looking for a new brunch place and stumbled on this place. It wasn't until we drove into the parking lot that I realized that I had been there for restaurant week a few years back. Ambiance 3/5 Food 4.5/5 Service 4/5 We almost walked out after the hostess seated us because she indicated there were flies next to the window table, which is why she didn't want to sit us there. While I appreciate the honesty, I don't appreciate flies buzzing around my food. After looking around, I didn't see anything overt, so we sat down anyways. The food was good but be warned, mild or spicy has quite a bit of heat. I remembered from the first time and asked the mild sauce to be on the side. However, it came out on the food, so I had to send it back. Usually I would roll with it, but I would have only enjoyed one bite. Fried beef empanada 5/5: This was a nice appetizer bite. Fried nicely with a flaky crust and stuffed generously with ground beef. Would def get this again or one of each kind. Croissant eggs benedict 5/5: Eggs cooked perfectly and ingredients layered well so every bite was balanced. Chicken and waffles 4/5: Egg also cooked perfectly here and the waffle had a great flavor with what I thought was a hint of cinnamon? Or maybe it was from the syrup. Minus a star because I thought the chicken could have been crispier. Both entrees came with roasted potatoes - they were just ok. Definitely did not need that much. Both also came with a mini fruit cup with 4 pieces of fruit. The wait staff was attentive and the manager swung by to check on us. Minus one star on service because my chicken had sauce when I asked for it on the side. read more

My husband and I wanted to try something new that was romantic and more intimate. This place was a fabulous choice for a quiet date night. We ordered a bottle of wine and started with the Samosa Sampler. Chef Casey introduced himself and welcomed us home. He was so kind and passionate about his restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was so personable that it didn't feel like we just walked in to any random restaurant, but someone's home. If you have never tried exotic food before and want to venture out, give it a try! They have Elk, Ostrich, Buffalo, Rabbit, Camel and Kangaroo. We will be back again and again. Cheers! read more

Outstanding "family owned" (not corporate) restaurant. Simple and easy decor with splashes of African and South American art. It's listed as a brunch spot on Yelp, but they have a full South African and South American "fusion" menu. We did breakfast dishes, and my steak and eggs were wonderful, with the steak being amazingly tender, and cooked to perfection. The vegan salad made a nice appetizer, and all the fruit on the salad was very fresh, and nicely sweet. We told them it was our first visit, and Chef Casey came out to personally greet us, and give us a slice of signature cake to try for dessert. I am always happy to support family owned businesses, and I plan to return and bring more of my friends with me. read more

**Astor's Table -- My New Obsession!** I finally made it to Astor's Table for brunch, and let me tell you -- it *slaps*! I'd been eyeing the reviews for a while and went in with high hopes, and this spot did **not** disappoint. We kicked things off with their "Mystery Mimosa" (\$16.95), and here's the kicker: each additional mimosa up to five rounds is just **ONE PENNY**. Dangerous... and totally worth it. For food, I had the ribeye steak and eggs with cheese grits, and it was next-level delicious. My partner ventured into new territory and tried the fufu with oxtails for the first time -- he was absolutely blown away. The vibe? Impeccable. Great food, strong drinks, attentive service, and a DJ spinning beats for a diverse, energetic crowd of all ages. We were having such a good time that we *couldn't leave without ordering more food to go* -- lamb chops and cheese grits, which were so good I was practically gnawing the bones clean. No regrets! Just left with my husband. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures! I ordered the oxtail and grits with a side a fruit and my husband ordered the oxtail and Mac & cheese and we share an order of red velvet pancakes. We came as soon as they opened so no one was there but us. The music and cultural art was a vibe. The chef even came out to see if everything was okay. 1000/10! We will definitely be back. read more

My wife and I share birthdays right next to each other (8/21-8/22) and decided we wanted to do a birthday dinner here and explore the HRW menu. We came on Saturday 8/23 at 7pm after being able to make a reservation the same day. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated right away. Our server Santi came by and introduced himself and was friendly and after getting water, took our orders. Their HRW menu consists of 3 courses for $55/person. At some point after receiving their complimentary bread, we started noticing people around us getting their starters before us even though we had ordered ahead of them. Eventually, our server came by with our starters and asked us if we wanted our entrees right away because they forgot about our starters and the entrees would be done in one minute. Being it was an extremely tiny table, it kind of seemed we were forced to either quickly eat our starters or have our entrees waiting. To start, we ordered the mini bunny chow and empanadas. Both were tasty, however, quite small in portion size. I ordered the jollof rice with oxtails as my main and my wife had the whole fried branzino. The jollof rice and oxtails were decent, however, I had multiple bites of hard rice. The main issue was with my wife's entree. The fish was supposedly marinated but upon tasting, the entire fish was completely bland. We had to taste it multiple times to confirm -- there was a significant lack of seasoning. The plantains it came with were also underwhelming and the salad it came with had no dressing and was wet. At this point my wife and I were desperately trying to make the best out of the experience here but to our avail, we were met with a few more mishaps. Our water was only refilled once and only upon asking and waiting for a while. We wanted to quickly end our entrees and have our dessert and move on. We ordered the cheesecake and crème brûlée. I'm assuming the cheesecake was store bought and that's fine -- just nothing special and underwhelming. The crème brûlée on the other hand -- had a very watery consistency, indicating it was under/overcooked. Overall, we had a poor experience and the value of the entire meal did not reflect the pricing it had. We wanted to give a new place that had good reviews a try and were disappointed, especially it being our birthday celebration. We hope this review creates actions by the restaurant to better themselves in the future. read more

Lemme tell ya. We LOVED this place! The owner is walking around greeting every table, she is so nice and is doing it all right! The flavors of all dishes are superb. I would have NEVER put cinnamon in my rice but wow it was one of my favorite things. The beef AND chicken empanadas were 12/10. I could seriously make those an entire meal. Their bread is home made and absolutely delicious. They have indoor and covered outdoor patio seating options. 11/10 would recommend trying them out! read more

Every single Escondido spent here was amazing! Food delicious doesn't even describe it, how about perfection. The oxtail breakfast amazing, the penny mimosa was so good. Have you tried this place? If not... get yourself over there - Astors table is a delightful dining experience from first greeting to mints on the way out the door. I ordered the Jollof rice with chicken, it was richly spiced, juicy, delicious and texturally delightful. My colleagues enjoyed the steak and eggs and Flame Braai - there was a deep hush over the table as we devoured generous helpings. Our server was Lowa, she was gracious, attentive, sweet and hilarious - and the chef Casey stopped by to thank us for our patronage. I don't live in Houston, but if I did this would be my go-to restaurant for a delicious African meal!! You can't go wrong read more

Yes, we were looking for vibes and they understood The assignment the food was amazing. Chef Casey did his biggest one. Drinks were a hit as well (make sure to go on bottomless mimosa day) and our server is Santiago was on point with his recommendations, his attentiveness and overall greatness was chef's kiss. I love the story behind this restaurant. The owner can be seen walking around greeting guests and telling the story. The inside is more intimate while the outside is perfect for patio brunch vibes. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and never been disappointed. The unique flavor profile is what sets their food apart. If you go on Sunday, enjoy their penny mimosas. peri peri wings 10/10 oxtails 8.5/10 mussels 9/10 curry goat 7/10 ( needed more curry in my opinion) peri peri shrimp and ribeye 9/10. read more

Promptly greeted with a friendly hello upon entrance. We had reservations but it was pretty empty the morning we came for brunch. This is my 2nd time & the last visit we definitely needed the reservation. Got the French toast & peri peri chicken wings. The peri peri chicken is spicy but just the right amount. Hubby likes medium spicy. I prefer a little spicy & we both were satisfied. My 2nd wing had a little more sauce on it & the heat from the pepper lingered after each bite & opened up my sinus a little bit. I would not have been able to handle any higher spice level on the chicken! Fruit cup was just a tasting size but the fruit was very ripe & fresh. French toast was soft & full of cinnamon. It was good. The platter was very filling. However, with only 2 whole pieces (4 slices) of French toast, I actually felt like I wanted more French toast & less chicken & potatoes. I had 1 wing & lots of potatoes to take home. Enjoyed sitting outside in the covered eating area with the background music playing. The seating is close to the street so you can actually see & hear the cars pass down the street. No issue at all for me. Parking is free in the strip mall type parking lot. I definitely will return & try more dishes. I enjoy the food & atmosphere. If you have family or friends who are not adventurous eaters, you may want to visit first then decide if to bring them. read more

We came for a friend brunch to catch up. Reservations were easy to make. We went at 1pm so it wasn't crowded at all. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. We ordered the mystery penny mimosa. They bring random flavors and you pay for the first and up to 5 more for a penny each. Great deal! We ordered 2 different appetizer samplers (not pictured). The best dish from what we ordered was the Epetada. The menu is interesting and we'll definitely be back to try more things. There was a DJ out on the patio. Best thing here was the African Oxtail! The meat was fall off the bone and so tender. The sauce that it swam in was so flavorful. It had some carrots and potatoes in the sauce as well, cooked nicely. The dish came with rice and plantains as well. For drinks, got the Margarita with tajin on the rim and it was pretty good and strong. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Made a reservation on Open Table and the parking lot had a good amount of spaces. Service was fast and fresh and when I had a question about the food the chef came out and clarified everything which was nice. He had also come out earlier to ask how we were and if we liked the food-always a nice personal touch. We came here for Houston Restaurant Weeks and because we always pass it on our way to my son's class. Overall pretty good except for that one issue which was solved and everyone was so nice. They have a piano player singing for brunch and we really enjoyed our visit. read more

We came here before a concert in Katy for restaurant week. They had plenty of parking for us to park. We decided to sit inside since outside was still a bit humid for us. Inside the ambiance was great! We were greeted right away, sat down and had drinks in our hands within minutes. Our server was amazing! She asked us our names and called us by our names the whole night! She was amazing! The menu was very extensive. They had everything from vegetarían to every different meat you could think of. The chef/owner even came out to greet our table and explain some menu items. We were there on a Friday and they had a guy singing. He has a great voice and it was very soothing to listen while eating. The food was so delicious and had so much flavor! I went to Aster's table last night. What a complete delight. Firstly made a last-minute reservation and they fit us in on a Saturday night. That alone is quite a feat, but to them have such a pleasant experience was incredible. We had the South African sampler appetizer a lovely South African wine And for the entrée I had oxtails which were not South African by any means but they were so wonderful it really did not matter where they came from. I met Casey Castro, who is the owner and it was quite pleasant to speak to him during our meal. He was affable friendly. The waitress was absolutely attentive to our every needs yet we probably sat oh I would estimate three hours and had just a lovely paced dinner. The ambience of the restaurant is just lovely numerous paintings and surrounded by wines from many different continents. This is a place not to be missed and why I waited so long to go. I will never be able to tell you. But I will be back now. read more

Came here for a double date night to catch up with friends. It wasn't too busy or loud for dinner which was great for conversations. Went in for restaurant week and honestly wasn't expecting much. But I was actually blown away We had Calamari (nice crisp perfect chew) Tostones (kinda dry) Empanadas (BEST chicken empanadas I have EVER had) Octopus PHENOMENAL Pichana cooked perfectly! Sea Bass one of the most perfectly cooked pieces of fish I have ever had perfect sear, tender and flaky, juicy Creme brulee was great Staff and the chef were amazing Service was prompt Totally unassuming of this little place in a strip mall I will definitely make it back out chef Casey doesn't know it yet but we are best friends and he is going to teach me how to make those empanadas read more

Helps that it's next door to my gym. Peri Peri Prawns. Picanha Espetada. Chocolate Peppermint Crisp. Staff was great. Came for HRW, but their special menu didn't speak to us. Their regular menu, however, is robust and inviting. Empanadas: we tried the beef, chicken, and ham and cheese. The pastry of each was crispy on the outside and doughy inside. I'm not sure which I preferred or if I had a preference...they weren't all that distinguishable. Not bad, but I'm at a loss to go so far as to recommend them. The chimichurri sauce is the real show-stopper. Absolutely fantastic The Safari Benedict is a beautifully plated dish. The eggs were perfectly poached, as was their hollandaise sauce. The beef was a little chewy but not lacking flavor. I split this dish with my mom--more than enough food for two people. The real puzzler of the meal: the flavor profile of the grits??? I wasn't able to identify it, but it was off-putting and something reminiscent of sadness. I can't say this enough: the chimichurri sauce is freaking awesome. As is the Malva Cake...excuse me while I wipe my drool away. Outside of the food, the serving staff are amiable, helpful, and extremely welcoming. Our waiter even went so far as to learn our names. Nice touch, Astor Management. read more

My fiancé and I decided to dine here because the atmosphere looked calm and upscale, but our experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, there were only two other couples dining, so it wasn't busy at all. After sitting for about 10 minutes, no one greeted us or asked if we needed anything. Eventually, a server approached and asked if we had reservations -- we said no -- and she simply walked away without offering to assist us. We noticed the staff promptly serving the other couples, who happened to be white, while we were left completely unattended. It was uncomfortable and disheartening, especially since we came in ready to enjoy a nice brunch together. When we decided to leave, the staff quickly opened the door for us without saying a word, which only added to the feeling that we weren't welcome there. I truly hope this wasn't intentional, but the lack of basic hospitality and courtesy was unacceptable. read more

This restaurant was an amazing find. It was interesting to have a Frank Sinatra style live singer at a South African restaurant, but I was totally digging it. The food was extremely flavorful and unique. The drinks were good, I had a whiskey sour and my friend had a mule. The service was excellent. The chef even visited our table and told us "welcome home". We had the South African sampler, oxtails, and shrimp with polenta. Wow! The food here is exceptional and consistently delicious! My family and I have gone a few times and have now brought my parents from out of town. They request we go there every time they're visiting. The menu is so unique and you will definitely find something for everyone. I've been to some of the best steakhouses and I can honestly say their steak is better and again, it's consistently done well. We have had the oxtails, seafood polenta, churrasco, branzino, dirty rice, and even kids meals that turn out amazing! Who knew Mac and cheese could be so fancy! The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable, especially Sue! She always spoils us as if we are part of her family. Owner Chef Casey is always greeting and checking in with diners. He has an incredible story as to how he came to open the restaurant too that he gladly shares. He ensures that you know you are "home" in his restaurant. He absolutely makes sure you feel at home, but still spoiled by attention to detail and wonderfully crafted dishes. The ambiance is romantic as well as family friendly. Even at that time, it was mostly full, but we were able to snag seats at the bar, which is first come first serve. We ordered the "regular" grilled oysters (5/5), which were anything but regular, as they were topped with peanuts and a really great flavor. I'd get these again. Fair warning, these take 20 minutes to come out, which I didn't mind, but I did not realize that they would not bring us anything else until after the oysters since these are considered an app. I thought they'd just bring things out as they were ready. This meant, we did not get our crawfish until we were already sitting there for an hour. About halfway into the wait for the crawfish (after the oysters), the fried rice (1/5) showed up, and I have to say, it was underwhelming. It came out room temperature, which to me is cold, and I thought this was just how they do it. Except 15 minutes later, the seats next to us got their fried rice, and it came out piping hot. You could still see the steam coming off of it. Besides being cold, I didn't think the fried rice was that good in terms of flavor. I also generally prefer the short grain rice, and this was more of a long grain. Once the crawfish showed up, we were well past an hour, so we dove right into it. Both the garlic butter and combo mix were great flavor - some of the best I've had in Houston. However.... it made me remember why we did not return. About 20% of the crawfish were TINY. And by tiny, I mean they were smaller than my pinky finger. Maybe I'm a crawfish snob, but at this time of the season, there should not be that many tiny crawfish. Maybe a few small ones, but not tiny. Crawfish flavor = 5+/5, crawfish quality = 2/5, crawfish cook = 3/5. Then I made the mistake of ordering a cluster of snow crab. That took another 30+ min to come out, and it was again room temperature. The service at the bar was fine (4/5), but the kitchen service (1/5) is not something I want to experience again, especially not for the crawfish quality/size. Yes, the flavor was amazing, but I'm not fighting for a table for lukewarm food and 30 min wait time for each dish. The pricing was some of the lowest I've seen ($8.99/lb crawfish), but I'd rather pay $1 more at other places for the quality.

Holly sh!t! This dude is unbelievable. Read the honest review of parents complaining about their kids being injured at Astor Farm to Table and then the reply by the owner. It is as if this punk lives on another planet. When a mother complains about her child being hit in the eye by an umbrella that was not properly secured Casey comes out and calls her a "Karen"! Im sorry. This guy is unhinged. If this was us and our kids were injured and Casey lipped of like he did Yelp would have been the least of his concern. Looking at his behavior to everybody who dares to leave a single negative comment. We cant help but wonder how much workplace bullying is going on in the kitchen. Astor Farm to Table staff. We have been coming here about once a month in 2020. The food is always prepared fresh to order, and has Latin American and African tones. There is a wonderful wine list with many South African vintages. They recently moved a few hundred yards to a much larger property, still on South Mason Road. More tables means less of a wait, and the owner (a very hands-on person) is making sure that the quality of food and level of service do not decline. Some of our favorite dishes are arepas and any of the meat dishes. The pasta is also fresh and tasty. Drawn to this restaurant for Houston's restaurant week, we were truly amazed by the food and beverages served to us by a fabulous server named Nicole. She personally made us mystery mimosas that were the most amazing concoctions of colorful champagne cocktails we've ever had. Enjoyed girls night out on the patio. The menu provides a variety for every appetite to enjoy. We enjoyed the empanada's and the Astor Punch for starters and Cape Town Chicken Espetada for our main course. Great service provided by our server David (thank you)! Our visit to Astor's Table was such a wonderful experience! The staff was amazing ,friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was fantastic. The owner and chef personally came to our table to make sure everything was perfect, which truly added a special touch. Well, what can I say about this place. This place has it all!!!!!!!! Amazing drink, amazing food and the service is incomparable to any other place in Texas. That's said a lot, I am from NY!!!!!!!!! This is a surprisingly very good restaurant. The selection and the food was excellent. It was a great find in our neighborhood. Before looking it up, I was unaware that 'Farm and Table' is not an unusual name for a fresh food restaurant in other countries. Food was fresh and very good. I recommend this place. The food at Astor Cafe is delicious! It's a real hidden gem. The food is fresh and made to order. The owner, Casey is so helpful and very accommodating. Everything ordered was absolutely delicious and the presentation adds so much to the experience. It may be a little hidden behind the Sonic and Papa John's, but look deeper! I don't leave reviews very often, but when I do... It's because it was top notch f-ing amazing. Came for brunch. Amazing steak. Great coffee. Very fair prices.
