ARS and team is easily the best moving company we've ever had. They were quick, very careful not to damage the furniture or the walls, and very pleasant to work with. They knocked out our 2-bed move in no time! No surprises with pricing too. I had some hesitation to book them because they were one of the cheaper options in the DMV area, however, they will be my go-to movers moving forward. Not only efficient and diligent but also not expensive! Also very responsive. Can't recommend their services enough! read more

ARS Movers came recommended by a friend for a one bedroom move. They were very accommodating when I scheduled as I was a bit last minute. I had a very good experience. They were on time and moved everything quickly. Prices were reasonable. I would use them again. read more

I was moving after selling my house into an apartment. I was really happy with the guys i worked with. They were on time, they worked really hard, and they had even moved others into my new building and knew exactly how to work within the rules! I would absolutely use them again! read more

This was my very first time moving using a movers company and I was a little nervios on how the day would go. However, since the day I got in contact with them they were reassuring and understood my concerns. On my move out day, the got to my building at the stipulated time and move out all of my stuff really fast! They even include in the price any disassemble and assemble of furniture which is nice. All my belongings got to my new home without a scratch! Really an awesome job by Viktor and Yorik (I might have misspelled his name). But they did an amazing job. read more

We're very convenient for last minute move. The men were very quick with the process. The price was very reasonable!

The guys from ARS Movers did a great job, very carefully and professionally!

Thank you for assisting me with my move! it was a smooth move and ARS movers are very careful with all of my items and also very competitive and reasonable rates! thank you so much ARS movers! read more

Local move. Was initially quoted 6 hours however my move was completed in 3 1/2 hours. Great customer service and very responsive. Mary was great, she answered all my questions and was very responsive. My movers Aron, Koka, and Yazik were quick and did a great job. Thank you! read more

You couldn't ask for better. TJ, Mary, and the team helped me with a very complicated move. My old place was a 4th floor walk-up and they never complained. I unexpectedly had to move out of one place before securing another, and ARS worked with me to store my belongings in their facility for about 2 months. No matter how many logistical problems arose on my end unrelated to their business, the team worked through them with me, honored our original quote, and provided excellent professional service. Nothing was lost or broken in the move, and my belongings came out of storage looking as clean and organized as when they went in. A communicative, efficient, and friendly group of people who were incredibly patient with me during a very stressful time--I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more

They were professional and friendly at every step of the process. They gave us a quote and there was absolutely no surprises. It was the smoothest move I have had and we have moved a lot. They delivered as promised. Use them. read more

This moving group was incredibly professional, efficient, and easy to work with through my entire move despite a lot of challenges with my apartment complex. From a quick quote, to a detailed manager, and hard working group of movers...you really can't go wrong hiring them. So thankful for this team and the stress they helped alleviate with the moving process! read more

The 4 man crew showed up right on time to move my 400 pound cast iron bathtub from the garage to the second floor bathroom. Just for comparison, the last time I used a moving company to do this, it took them 2 hours and made it look extremely difficult. ARS movers padded and strapped that tub up and it was in the bathroom within 20 minutes of the first lift. Impressive and efficient. I would highly recommend using ARS Movers. read more

I hired ARS after reading some great reviews and was happy to confirm that their service is superb. I have moved 32 times in my life, and while not all of them involved moving companies, I had never experienced this level of professionalism and efficiency. A great, stress free experience. I would not hesitate to contract again. read more

Very professional and helpful movers - they got all my items up four flights of stairs with relative ease and quickness.

From the first contact explaining the prices and what was included all the way through the arrival time loading unloading and everything in between, this move went perfectly. We really appreciated the competence and reliability of everyone involved. read more

ARS was referred to us by our realtor after we were getting some crazy quotes from some of the bigger moving companies out there. We didn't learn until later that our realtor used them to move himself. TG and crew were great, they stayed in touch and communicated frequently leading up to the move. They arrived, went over the contract, and TG said, "okay we begin at 11" - and at 11 they were like machines moving through my home disassembling and wrapping furniture carefully. I have a standing jewelry armoire and asked if I should take my jewelry out and they said no... I was terrified to open it at the new house - but I was amazed that everything was exactly where it had been placed by me - not one tiny earring was out of place. Prior to leaving for the new house I ran out and got them lunch and drinks - they had been working nonstop and never took a break until I asked them if they would like lunch. You may ask why I would do that - I learned from years of moving in the military - you take care of your moving crew and they take care of your stuff. Sometimes a little extra goes a long way. The real life game of tetris they played with my house was amazing - they fit a 6 bedroom house into one truck. At the new house they were even more efficient - carefully reassembling my furniture and placing boxes in the rooms that were labeled for. I highly recommend TG and crew - he even made a comment that I had his back up crew because I scheduled pretty last minute. If that was his backup crew I can't even imagine what his normal crew is like. read more

I've used ARS movers twice now for hauling heavy furniture. The first time was a house full of items and the second time was some items that we needed additional help moving things inside our house, like our treadmill. Both moves, each team of 3 men were fabulous! We've been in the military for 20+ years and this company is the best I've ever seen! Highly recommend! read more

I'm so happy with my moving experience with ARS! We used their services to move out of our 2 bedroom apartment. They are fast, efficient, and very professional. They didn't do anything to waste time or add extra unnecessary charges. It was a quick, no nonsense, seamless move! read more

I was ambushed with a written contract that I was forced to sign, with no opportunity to read it, when the movers arrived. This was after I had explicitly asked the sales representative, James Malone, whether there would be a contract. Mr. Malone answered "No, just pay cash or credit card. No contract. And I do mean "ambushed" because ARS had two weeks in which they could have given me the contract, in advance. But they procrastinated until the day of my move, and I was denied an opportunity to read it; not that anybody could read the fine print, anyway, without a magnifying glass. My carbon copy of the contract is illegible because the "carbon" did not print. That means I must check my credit-card statement to discover what I was charged because ARS kept the original that is readable and gave me a copy that is illegible. Then at the end, I was bullied into adding a 15-percent tip, which is an expense that James Malone never divulged, even after I had asked whether tipping is customary. He answered "no". It means that I was lied to, twice. First, about there being "no written contract"; and then, about "no tipping". It matters, too, because a mandatory 15-percent tip is a significant expense; and Mr. Malone was evasive about it. Communications with Mr. Malone were excellent, until I had agreed to hire ARS. Then communications became abrupt to nonexistent, in that I made three follow-up inquiries that Mr. Malone never acknowledged. That motivated me to contact him, again, just to confirm that our moving date was still on because I had not heard back from him, in several days. I was bullied by the two movers, inside my own house. One of them persisted in repeatedly saying, "Are we finished?" As it turns out, they were in a hurry to leave my house because, unknown to me at the time; they had a second job scheduled that same day. So, they were in a hurry to finish my job so that they could do two jobs in one day - to my detriment because they quit before my job was finished. It felt disrespectful for the movers to being speaking Chinese because, in my capacity as the paying customer, I felt that I had a right to know what is being said inside my house, in my presence. Both movers also stunk like tobacco. Although they did not smoke in my presence, there was no mistaking that both must be heavy smokers. My guess is that ARS treats their movers like slaves, forcing them to do multiple moves per day and forcing them to work for tips in lieu of a fair salary. Otherwise, why the sob story used to coerce me into giving a 15-percent tip? Would I hire ARS, again, despite all-the-above? Probably. Because there is no assurance that ARS competition is any better. As a generality, movers are in such high demand that movers are at liberty to treat customers however they want. Plus, movers realize that people being moved are a one-time customer, which causes them to feel no incentive to build customer loyalty. That is because once you are moved, they know that they are never going to hear from you again, regardless of whether you are a satisfied customer. read more

ARS moved my in-laws between assisted care facilities. I was pleased with the communication prior to the move and the professionalism of the movers themselves. Would use again. read more

We had an excellent experience with ARS. They arrived o. Time and had lots of knowkedge about how to wrap and protect our items which included leather couches, breakables and an antique piano! ARS Movers - Movers Near Me

I have mixed feeling about these movers. I hired them to move me from Maryland to CT. While the movers came and were respectful, just when we were about to leave, the moving truck broke down in front of my house. They said it was the transmission, which I would have thought they would have had scheduled maintenance on especially knowing they had a long drive ahead of them. Since it's a pandemic and I was already packed up with my 7 month old baby, I had to drive to CT and leave them to reload my stuff into another truck and set off the next day to deliver my things the next day. They were great about delivering my things the next day, but they ended up damaging some items in the process of the move because they weren't properly wrapped. I understand that they might have been rushing when they were loading the truck since we had a long drive ahead of us, but that resulted in damage to my property. So I would recommend them for short distance moves when they don't feel rushed, but not long distance moves. read more

We had a great experience with ARS Movers. From the quote to the actual day of the move, ARS was extremely responsive. On the day of our move, our movers (TG, Rus, and Kai) arrived on time and got right to work. They were really efficient and made sure to wrap all of our furniture to protect them from damage. They were nice and very courteous. The entire move took exactly 3 hours and was as painless as it could be. I would recommend ARS Movers and likely will use them again in the future. read more

I, like many others, DREAD moving. My friend recommended ARS Movers, and I will 1000% use them again. The move was absolutely painless. Tj and Kai did everything... and quickly! And were so incredibly polite. I can't thank them enough for their professionalism. read more

Fantastic company to work with - very efficient move. Appreciated the disassembly and reassembly of bulkier furniture (including beds, which were much needed after long moving days). Hopefully we don't move again but if we do, will definitely contact ARS Movers. read more

I requested an in-state move for a jr one bedroom apartment. I received a response to my initial request very quickly with all information I needed to help me figure out whether I wanted to book the service including a estimated cost for the service I requested. The booking processes was very transparent and easy to understand (this was important to me because this was the first time I had booked a service like this). The quote was fair given the move distance and size and quantity of items in the move. I got a call the day before my move to confirm the booking and a confirmation message 1 hour before they arrived. When the movers arrived we first talked through what the final cost of the service would be comprised of. The movers worked at a steady pace and we're very receptive and responsive to how and where I wanted things put and very careful with how my things were handled. It was a relatively small move but I got the help I needed to get it done quickly and well. read more

I came in from out of town to help my daughter move from one apartment building into the one next door. I realized there was no way the 2 of us were going to be able to tackle this. I contacted ARS and they responded quickly, provided a reasonable estimate and promised no hidden fees. They were communicative about arrival timing and were very professional. They moved everything so efficiently and even took the bed apart and put it back together in the new place. They were really great. I'd use them again and definitely recommend to others. read more

Would highly recommend ARS for anyone moving. We've used them twice and both times went very smoothly. They are very responsive and moved everything quickly and gently - no dinged furniture or anything. Very reasonable price for a quality job! read more

ARS Movers did a great job! I spoke with James who was so helpful and put my mind at ease during a stressful time. He was very responsive on phone and email and answered all of my questions. During the day of the move, TJ and Aza were fast and efficient and loaded up the truck really well. I was moving from a 1 bedroom to another 1 bedroom and the 15 ft. truck they provided had more than enough space. The price was great and I love that the cost is pro-rated on the half hour, not full hour like some other companies. For example, other companies will have a rate of $100/hr and charge you $500 for working 4 hours 15 minutes. But since ARS is prorated, you would get charged $450 for 4 hours 15 minutes, which I think is a lot fairer. Overall, I would highly recommend ARS Movers. read more

Good prices and excellent customer service. W removed from Alexandria to Rockville and the whole process was seamless.

Had a great experience with ARS today. They arrived on time, and did an excellent, very professional job with our move. TJ Lee and Yarik were just great and we so appreciated how conscientious they both were in caring for my mother's furniture and belongings during the move. I will definitely use ARS again! read more

TJ Lee and his crew did an outstanding job at protecting, transporting and unloading a partial furniture move from Fairfax to Chapel Hill, NC as if it was their own. What was especially helpful to us was their guarantee to pack up and deliver the furniture within 24 hours. They also moved a safe and placed everything exactly where we wanted them, which reduced our need when we decided to reposition some items after they left. We will definitely call on ARS Movers again when we complete our final move to NC. Yes we would recommend them for any of your local- which we also did a few months before - and interstate moves. read more

Great experience with ARS Movers. The company responded quickly to my initial estimate inquiry. I did a virtual estimate with owner TJ. He gave me various options which included a flat or hourly rate. No hidden fees. TJ even transported our vehicle at no charge. Moving team-Ivan and his team were extremely professional, fast, and respectful. They had patience and ensured all of my items were placed in the correct areas of the home. I've worked with other moving companies in the past and was a nightmare. I would definitely recommend and will use company again in the future. read more

This is the second time we have used ARS to move in a little over a year. During the first move they helped us move from a large 1 bedroom to a 4 story townhouse. The service and responsiveness was impeccable even though they moved us on one of the hottest days and had to move multiple items up 3 flights of narrow stairs. They recommended we use 3 movers next time since the move took a lot longer than estimated with just 2 movers. The second time around I specifically asked for 3 movers and our move was even more efficient and actually cost about the same as the last move but the shaved off about 3 hours from the last move and ended up costing the same. The movers just work so hard and are so efficient and courteous. We had some issues with the parking situation in our new place and the movers were able to find a workaround by double parking and just moving truck when people needed their cars. They just made it so easy. I will definitely use them again. read more

I hired this team for a move from a 3 bedroom house in DC to Richmond VA. At about 2/3 of what I was seeing from some other companies, I'll admit I was a bit worried. However I could not have been happier with the move! They showed up on time, were quick and diligent, were cool with my wild puppy :) , and everything went very smoothly. Absolutely would hire again! One thing to know ahead of time though is that you may want to pay cash and avoid the 4% card fee, so be prepared for that. read more
