This company was an awesome find! They recently helped us with a move and everything went very smoothly. They safely wrapped and moved every item. They even re-arranged and reassembled all of the furniture. We barely had to be present! This was a last minute move and we went an hour over the quoted time, but even then they are more affordable than most movers in this area. Highly recommended and their Manager was very responsive and communicative. They even have a lost and found process. Definitely consider ARS Moving LLC for your next move! read more

We hired them to pack a one bedroom apt. They were very careful and well organized, labeling every box as they go. Very satisfied with the quality of the work and the expedience. Highly recommended. read more

ARS Movers - Packing - Movers Near Me

ARS since the first call was great, fast and reliable. I had a one bedroom move from an apartment to a basement in a townhouse. The movers communicated EVERYTHING! From the day before with scheduling and any boxes needed, to that day woth payment plan, any prior marks or issues prior to the move, to the final product being set up and completed. Both men were very respectful and also completed the task super fast and efficiently. I appreciated ARS movers and would recommend them for anyone in the future that wants the job done right! read more

ARS Movers - Movers Near Me

Service was impeccable, the team was professional and treated me with respect. Always address me as Miss. Based on the care they took with my belongings, they were worth every penny I spent. They were higher than some of the other movers I checked, but I'm glad I spent the extra money. read more

ARS: A very professorial business owner with a team of hard working professionals. They did our long distance move with the utmost care and professionalism at a reasonable cost. They were careful, on time, and highly efficient. They unloaded our things as promised and made sure that everything was placed where we needed it and in record time. We've moved several times and this is by far the best moving company we've ever had!! I highly recommend them! read more

The team of Tj, Andry and Mike were absolutely terrific!!! I could not get over the speed and efficiency. Absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend this company. Excellent customer service! Thank you Kamilla and TJ. read more

I've used their services twice, I highly recommend ARS movers. They're very professional and accommodating, from their customer service to the crew. Great prices and reliable service all around! read more

Movers were incredibly efficient and quick, even on a hot day! Both TJ and Tim were very nice and felt safe to be around. Price was more than fair for my one-bedroom apartment, and the office response time was very quick. The movers came during their window and called me in advance to tell me the precise time they were getting to my place. I would DEFINITELY hire them again and recommend them for a move around the DMV read more

This was my fourth move with ARS, and I simply can't say enough good things about them. They always arrive on time, are very efficient, take a great deal of care with fragile pieces of furniture, and are just wonderful! I'll never use another moving service. Their prices are very reasonable as well! read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. Let's start off by saying how great the communication was leading up to the move. Responsive and ready to book me as a client. Quoted $311 for 2 hour minimum by James. Movers arrive at 9am and load the truck til 1pm. Amidst this, they get a call for ANOTHER GIG that was "extremely dire" and they say they will return within an hour. We were understanding and tell them to take 2 to allow a cushion for travel and traffic. We receive an update that they won't arrive to drop off the truck full of our furniture until 4pm. It is 4pm and no call no show. I contact the driver and the office and receive a "30 minute" ETA. It is now 4:30pm and still, no call no show. I contact the driver and he says "I'm 25 minutes away." 25 minutes somehow turns into another hour and a half. THEY DO NOT RETURN WITH MY BELONGINGS UNTIL 6:30PM. *reminding you that the job started at 9AM* In the midst of wondering where the truckload filled with my entire life is--I AM the person contacting them requesting updates. NOBODY CALLED ME WITH ANY INFORMATION. And at first, I was offered a measly 10% discount by James lol. James also found it to be appropriate to talk over ya and ask us "what's the issue?" when we were expressing clearly how our time has been taken advantage of. He puts us on mute. We hang up and call back to find the owner, TJ on the line. Gracefully explaining the situation about why they double booked the day and offering us a reasonable compromise. Fast forward to the end of the move--THEY HAD THE NERVE TO TRY TO CHARGE US FOR PACKING MATERIAL (2 rolls of tape) AFTER DRIVING AROUND WITH OUR BELONGINGS AND NOT PROVIDING A SINGLE UPDATE????? I had to call the driver repeatedly. Please do not book with these people. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

I had a great experience with TJ and Alec - they were professional, competent, good-natured and supportive throughout my cross-town move, even when a few challenges arose (IKEA furniture, anyone? not great for moving). I highly recommend TJ and his team for moving services. read more

TJ and his team were great! They were super fast, efficient, and took great care of everything. Also very easy to work with.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. The best moving company ever. Moved from Virginia to Florida and it couldn't have gone better. TJ was on his game appointing two outstanding movers who were fantastic. I highly recommend this moving company. read more

ARS Movers did an amazing job! TJ and his son were efficient and very fast. We had a lot of stuff that they moved it with ease and in a timely manner. They brought all their moving supplies and trolleys. TJ was even really good with my younger brother who insisted on giving them a hand even though he couldn't carry much, but Tj was very patient with him. He also gave us a very fair price. Overall TJ and his son did a wonderful job and I would hire them again and most definitely recommend them to anyone! You can definitely tell this is a family oriented business and that really showed in Tj and his son's attitude! Keep being great guys and thank you again! read more

Executive Summary: I've moved cross country multiple times (SF to NYC, Boston to SF, SF to DC) and used movers each time. Honestly, ARS movers are by far and away the BEST movers I have ever worked with! Specifically, I used ARS for a move from NW DC to Chantilly, VA, and they were the best! Read below for more detail. Additional Detail: To put this into context, what attracted me to ARS initially was the responsiveness of their team. They quickly got back to me, indicating they were a highly professional and well-managed company. Additionally, they were very inquisitive and detailed. They asked for considerable information about what I was going to move. Their questions suggested they were thorough in their preparations. And that proved to be so when they arrived and executed the move. When they came to our apartment, they were prompt, courteous, and professional. We simply identified what needed to be moved and they expeditiously got to work. I'm not kidding; they didn't waste time. I knew my money was going to be well spent. At the same time, they were meticulous and cautious. One of the movers, named K, for instance, politely pointed out cracks in one of my floor lamps, so as to make clear it pre-existed. I appreciated that detail because it told me that they are lazer-focused on maintaining the quality of the furniture and belongings they move and inspect them closely. We complicated the move by asking ARS if we could add a pickup location (so they could get another piece of furniture for us at another location). ARS handled it with aplomb. They went to the added pickup while we went to the destination and met them there. When they arrived, they again were courteous, prompt, and professional. I have to tell you, their kindness, efficiency and professionalism were particularly noteworthy because we asked them to carry countless heavy items (e.g., a king bed) up FOUR flights of narrow STAIRS. Yes, you read that right; four flights. Our townhouse is ENORMOUS. The team, led in communication by a fantastic mover named K, didn't let any exhaustion or fatigue show. He and his colleague moved so many items up four flights most adroitly. I've had many movers in the past, including many assemblymen come by to assist. Never before have I encountered workers who were so professional, courteous, efficient and meticulous. Lastly, I was expecting an enormous bill, since it's common practice to pad them. Not so with ARS. They are thoroughly honest business people. They were fair in their estimates and delivered incredible service. From this, I sensed they were reasonable and affable people. Having moved cross country multiple times (SF to NYC, Boston to SF, SF to DC), I can honestly tell you I have never worked with such amazing movers! Professional, courteous, prompt, efficient, meticulous, honest, and reputable. Thank you, ARS!! read more

Overall the move was good 3.5, but the crew did not have the equipment to properly take down the wall mount for the television. I had to call a friend to do it myself. Attempted to charge me more $$ because the walk from the street, where the truck was parked, to the building door was what they said was "more than normal". after a 10 minutes call with their supervisor, they finally started to move the furniture. read more

Used ARS Movers recently and everything went better than expected. They showed up on time and very communicative. Their rate is also better than most in the area. I would highly recommend. read more

Overall, we had a great experience. Leading up to our move, James was very communicative. He was able to accommodate a last minute schedule change. TJ was our contact for the day of. I sent him some directions the night before, as our community at the time was super confusing. He arrived with his team, parked perfectly and got right to work. When we got to our new home, our sectional wouldn't fit up the stairs. TJ was quick to organize the guys together and lift it from the deck. My only complaints are: several markings on our new wall, and a slight language barrier. The only reason I mention that is because there were several instances were things could've been kept on the ground floor. Instead, it'd be on the top floor. All in all, we recommend ARS. read more

I would recommend ARS Movers to everyone looking for moving services. We have used them several times now and they are always very professional and take care with our things. They are also very accommodating. I told them the wrong dates (totally my fault) and they were able to change things around to assist me at the last minute, even though it was my mistake. They've been great to work with on every occasion. Pricing is always reasonable with no surprises. Highly recommend! read more

I have used ARS for all three of my moves. They have helped me pack for one and moved me for all. They're detailed and quick without lacking efficiency. The prices are the most feasible for this area and they're very organized and courteous. I'd recommend their services. read more

Needed to move my aunts 800 miles on a given date from a senior community. ARS gave a timely quote and assured delivery one day after pickup. Guys went above and beyond in packing things well. Friendly staff, fantastic work ethic and very responsive. Would definitely recommend them and use again. read more

Thank you very much TG and Vadim for successfully moving our house from Redondo Beach to Maryland. the service and staff were perfect. They helped with everything and took very short but effecient time

This was the third time I used ARS Movers from small apartment to apartment moves and then long distance from Arlington to Delaware. I have never used any other moving company, but I can say that the guys who moved my belongings did an excellent job. They were courteous and polite, didn't stop all day long until night time when the job was done. They knew how to pack a truckload and empty it efficiently. Nothing was broken or damaged. read more

Overall had a good experience and would recommend. We were moving out of a 1 bedroom apartment (less than 900 sq ft), so I figured 2 movers was fine. Apparently we had a lot of stuff because it took 7 hours and they said it should have been a 3 man job. Definitely was not expecting it to take that long so I paid more than I thought I would but they did a good job. They asked if they could arrive earlier so I said an hour earlier would be fine (12pm) then they showed up at 12:40 so that was a bit annoying but not a big deal. They also took smoke breaks but considering it was a 7 hour job I didn't mind. We got a bunch of add ons on our bill for extra packing supplies that I didn't think we needed but it at least kept our stuff safe. They were very responsive and scheduling was super easy. All our stuff was taken care of very well. read more

We used ARS's services to help us load our truck. They were initially responsive, gave a very fair quote, called ahead to make sure we were prepared. On the day of, they were professional and efficient, loading our 20ft truck in 2 hours. They took good care of our stuff, packed tightly and efficiently - we had space to spare and nothing was disturbed in the trip. It was an easy move, in large part because of ARS's team, can't recommend enough. read more

After consulting with a couple of other companies, we went with ARS for our local move. We typically move ourselves and this was the first time we hired professional movers. I can confidently say that we will be hiring ARS for all future jobs! We were greeted by Esko and his team (Koko, Ermen, Yorik) and they immediately exceeded our expectations. Moving is incredibly stressful and with the amount of boxes/furniture we had, I was worried about how the situation would play out. Within 10 minutes of meeting the team, I knew the move would go perfect! And it did! The care and consideration of our personal belongings is very appreciated! Upon arriving at the new place, they always double checked that the furniture was exactly where we wanted it to be. Funnily enough, the first thing they moved into the space was our mattress frame. We hadn't realize how small the staircase was but all it took was a brief huddle and BAM, it was up the stairs in the right spot with no damage to the walls/frame! Not only do we get to smart a small, local business but they had the best bang for our buck! We ended up getting 4 movers for 3hrs. We were quoted at around $970, premove. Plus a generous tip, we only paid around $1.1k for the entire thing! Other companies started out at $1k! For context, we moved about 20 pieces of furniture (armchairs, dressers, credenzas, tables, etc) and at least 40 boxes from a small two bedroom apartment into a bigger townhouse. From small to large, the team was able to move ALL of our stuff! We had one picture break but that's fully my responsibility (put it in a weird place and it fell as they were moving boxes). Even with me saying it was all my fault, they immediately told me about it and profusely apologized. So much better than finding out AFTER the move! read more

I moved from MD to VA yesterday. It was my 3rd moving in DMV area and ARS Movers was the third moving company I had. They are the best. Mary was super professional, kindly answered all my horrible questions and made the scheduling procedure easy. Ji and Ivan who came with the truck, I barely talked to them. They were unbelievably fast and accurate, even helped me finish packing. They knew where to be what to do and how to do. Their price, service, willing to help is unbeatable. I would like to give ARS Movers a 100 STAR RATING!!!!! I was waiting on another moving company (Blue Skies Movers) to move me at 1pm on a FRIDAY. I called them at 12:55pm just to confirm they were on their way and the rep told me they were still LOADING their morning move!!!!! I PANICKED! ...Then, I remembered that James from ARS Movers called me earlier in the week and said, "keep my number just in case something changes." I called James in tears because I desperately needed to move that day and already reserved freight elevators. He calmly said, "I will try my best to work this out for you." To make a long story short, at 2:30pm two movers from ARS Movers arrived to my place READY TO WORK! They did the entire move in just over 2 HOURS and I met my freight elevator deadline with 15 mins to spare! ARS Movers is a LIFESAVER!!!! They were affordable, moved quickly, and handled my property with care. THANK YOU, JAMES! And, thank you, ARS MOVERS! You have a lifetime customer and referral. read more

Best damn movers EVER!! I was referred to this company by my cousin (who moves maybe more than I between being bi-coastal and father to two young adult women) -- so this referral comes from a great source with much weight. I spoke with James (the owner) and I was a bit frantic moving in COVID with some new challenges I had never experienced before -- he was so patient and serene while sharing knowledge, instantly calming me. I replay all the things my cousin told me about this "good guy who shoots straight and honest; movers who don't drag their feet". Now that I have moved, please let me reiterate my cousin's sentiments. My two movers were AWESOME. Maintained steady energy and pleasant disposition despite everything that could've gone wrong going wrong. If you are looking for a moving company--LOOK NO FURTHER! James, keep putting that good JuJu out in the universe :-) read more
