Definitely a vibe on the 2nd floor, but not worth the overpriced food. The pizza on the Specials menu was disappointing (so small, and basic, taste-wise). The gnochetti was yummy, but was such a small portion. I almost laughed thinking it was a mistake with how little food there was. Service was good so can't complain there! The bathrooms are located only on the 1st floor, right by the open kitchen.

We visited Ariano with friends over the winter as a nice restaurant that was halfway between us. It was pretty simple to make reservations for our group of 4, even on a weekend. We easily found the restaurant, and parking was relatively simple (Media has a few different lots that are a short walk away from the main streets and restaurants). The space is unique in that it has a main restaurant area and then a second dining area that is right next door (not attached). We were seated in the offshoot area, which was cozy and nice. It still had the same ambience as the main dining area (I think, from what I could see), but in a more intimate and quieter setting. I was a little concerned that service would be more lax over there, but our server was attentive enough and our food and drinks came out in reasonable timeframes. For drinks, my husband went for a glass of red wine and our other friend opted for a cocktail. My girlfriend and I were both pregnant, so we both opted for mocktails, appreciating how many options they had! We both went for the paloma, which tasted pretty close to the real thing. For eats, we split the arancini, which was unique with its inclusion of crab meat! It was a delightful bite with the seafood accompanied by the pesto and vodka sauce. We also split the Via Ottagio, enjoying the char from the grilled lettuce, which added a nice dimension to an otherwise simple salad. For my meal, I chose the gnocchi - featuring blueberry and brown butter, it was a unique take on my favorie pasta type! Each pillow was delicately crisp on the outside but so creamy inside from the inclusion of ricotta. A great dish! All of my dining partners equally enjoyed their meals, spanning from pizza to pasta to chicken. All portions were reasonable, and prices were fair as well. We spent a while chatting after our meals were complete, so we appreciated not being kicked out to clear off the table, even when we basically closed the place out. We are spoiled in the city with such excellent Italian food anywhere you turn, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and unique-ness of Ariano. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a solid Italian restaurant with some contemporary spins in Media!

I got the beef short rib pizza it was very savory and flavorful. The pizza probably needs about 30 seconds to a minute more in the oven because the dough was still a little too soft. Otherwise I loved the flavor and taste. The sauce paired perfectly with the savory beef and onions. It's also fairly priced. Service was friendly and quick and the inside is nice and has a lot of seating.

Holy Mackeral!! We visited Ariano in 11/2025 after several other stops. The one thing I remember most is that I broke a glass. The staff was as nice as could be. Sorry I broke the glass and thank you for being so nice. Thank goodness I take video! The pizza looks amazing. Amigo Dan ate half the pizza before I could get a video of him. Over 400 videos of him, and this has never happened! You know it had to be very good! Ariano, see you soon when I am sober! Great spot for quiet dinner.

What an adorable place. You certainly don't realize how big it is until you walk in!! The little touches truly make you feel like you're at an elegant and beautiful restaurant. I ordered the Gnocchetti Mongelli (ricotta gnocchi, brown butter, roasted pistachio crumble, dried blueberries, fresh parmesan). Warning!! Flavor punch in your mouth! I especially loved each bite with the pistachio crumble and the dried blueberries, mmmmmm. The brown butter for me was a lot, so I had to put some of it on a side plate so that it wasn't so saturated. Some people may love that, but I love to taste everything and not have one thing over power just something to think about before you order. My friend had a Spicy Crab Vodka (lumache, crab, vodka sauce, red chili, anchovy bread crumb, fresh parmesan). He said it had a generous portion of crab and the vodka sauce was more flavorful than spicy. We were seated on the second floor. I wish we were by the windows, but it was gorgeous in there. The servicer was very nice and prompt!

Spicy vodka crab pasta

Get the spicy vodka crab pasta! It's a cute restaurant for dates or groups of friends. We might have went on an off day, but we weren't too impressed with the dishes we got other than the spicy vodka crab pasta. It had a nice kick and the flavors were delicious. We didn't try the pizza though so maybe that's the better move for next time. Service was fine, the servers are very hardworking. My friends and I ate here after a rain storm had finished and it was extremely hot, but the AC was not on. We could see the servers glistening from sweat, but they told us they couldn't turn on the AC since the windows were open. We felt so bad that the servers were coming up flights of stairs in such heat. Everyone on the top floor was just sweating from heat. Eventually after maybe half an hour, they decided to turn on the AC. This did dampen the mood while waiting for the food.

Poorly cooked small lamb chops

Awful service from start to finish. We arrived before our 6:00 p.m. reservation, but our appetizers didn't arrive until 7:00 p.m., and entrees started coming out around 7:20 p.m. To make matters worse, the entrees weren't served together. I didn't order an appetizer, yet I was the last person at the table to receive my meal at 7:26 p.m. I ordered the lamb chops, which finally arrived an hour and a half after we were seated--and they were extremely overcooked. Our waiter told us the kitchen had lost our ticket and had to refire my order. Whether that was actually the case or the order was never entered, I can't say. What I do know is that no one apologized in a meaningful way or offered any compensation for the excessive delay or the poor quality of the meal. If you're considering the gluten-free pizza crust, I'd recommend skipping it. It was so hard it was practically inedible. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but the slow, disorganized service and disappointing food made the experience not worth the time or money. One final note: Google still lists this restaurant as BYOB, but it no longer is. We arrived with a bottle of wine expecting to enjoy it with dinner, only to be told they no longer allow it. Management should update the Google Business profile to avoid misleading future customers.

Roasted Caprese: this was one of my favorite dishes of all time!!! Like EVER Service was fantastic, our drinks were always filled! And the second floor upstairs was gorgeous

Walking in, with the classic up beat jazz music playing overhead, open window atmosphere, natural light, cool breeze and traditional Tuscan colors surrounding you, as you are seared at a hammered copper table top... I had the gluten free Wild Funghi pizza, the virgin Pain Killer and an affogato for desert. Absolutely delicious! Service was on point, professional, friendly and family oriented. Can't wait to come back here!

Our first time and we will definitely be back. I am not a fan of "American Italian food" which seems to be all about the red sauce. Not here!! This was ITALIAN FOOD and transported me back to Italy! Ambiance is fantastic! Beautiful especially if you can sit upstairs. Food was so flavorful and visually appetizing! Highly recommend!

Stopped in for an early dinner last night (Saturday). My friend was raving about them and they were able to accommodate us not having a reservation. It's such a charming place! I felt like I was on vacation! We sat upstairs in a window and it was the perfect day for that! The breeze coming in was wonderful! The food was delicious! We each started with a salad. I had the grilled caesar (they have Italian names for their dishes therefore I don't remember them), we split the risotto balls and I had the scallops over risotto. Everything was really good!! We were so stuffed when we left l, it was funny! I will definitely go back! Oh and my espresso martini was great too!

Wonderful service, cute and charming decor. Absolutely amazing and delicious mushroom pizza... we also added Kalamata olives to ours. Very very delicious. I would most definitely return

We only stopped in for drinks but the cocktail menu is extensive! We enjoyed everything we had and the service was quick. We sat at the bar. Will definitely be back to try some food.

We got seated right behind the live music and I'm so glad we asked to move since we got the cozy fireplace table and there's no way we could have heard eachother otherwise. The chairs were weirdly uncomfortable and seemed a mix of styles. When everything else called to be cozy that was an odd misstep in a cold winter night. They were out of a handful of things but they did have a super extra special menu to try. We had to sample the mashed potato balls but honestly they were dense and dry without a lot of flavor. If you mixed with the sauce they were ok but don't really recommend. The stews were amazing, and the shepherds pie will absolutely take you back to the island, and huge portions. The yak burger really tasted great but it was one of those "too huge to fit" type of burgers so be aware. The desserts really weren't inspiring so we skipped. This is very popular and the bar area was totally packed when we headed out. I'd say worth going but ask for where you want to sit and be prepared to just take awhile.

A live guitarist was setting up for the evening in the space between the two rooms. He started playing just after we were seated, and it was a bit loud from the proximity, but a member of our party asked if we could move. After checking with the hostess, we were whisked away to a cozier table by the room's fireplace. Given the cold weather, it was quite nice. That table also had some more comfortable seats, so I'm glad they could accommodate the switch. Our server was quite personable, and took good care of us as we ordered drinks and waited for the rest of our group. She did need to check on some menu items and they had some sold our dishes, but there were plenty of options still. When the food came, one of our entrees had a small mix up, but it was resolved before the rest of our food made it out. My shepherd's pie filling was deliciously rich. The mashed potatoes on top were broiled to crispy perfection. I didn't love the bread on the side, but I had more than enough pie to fill me up. Overall, I'd love to go back and try some other menu options.

I suppose a restaurant almost has a disadvantage when one has heard endlessly about how fantastic…read moreit is, thus setting one's expectations quite high when making one's reservation. A friend and I came by for a quiet supper to catch up and hopefully have an enjoyable dining experience. To start off, the Caesar salad and focaccia were indeed quite tasty. After being talked into trying the tasting menu, I was disheartened upon taking my first bite of the chicken Parmigiana and accompanying pasta. Both seemed as if they had been sitting for a while and then were unevenly reheated. The pasta, in particular, was lackluster and worse than anything I might have hurriedly boiled at eleven at night upon arriving home after a long trip and finding only packaged pasta and canned tomato sauce in the cupboard. But I could have lived with all of this had it not been for the service. Clearly my friend and I were the afterthought of all afterthoughts to our disinterested waitress. After hounding us to order before we had properly reviewed the menu, she promptly put us on the pay-no-mind list, as dirty dish after dirty dish accumulated at the table from the tasting menu she had so strongly urged me to try. I also abhor cheapness on the part of restaurants. Would it have killed Rosemary to offer us a second piece of focaccia, given that there were two of us and the portion was a better fit for just one? Lest anyone accuse me of having expected the waitstaff to read my mind, I indeed asked. It's not like we weren't spending a pretty penny there. The business could have well afforded to allow each of us a reasonable portion of its much-touted starter. After we finally managed to flag down our waitress amid the plethora of dirty dishes still sporting some of the mediocre food, I paid in cash on account of the restaurant informing me on the bill that a surcharge would be applied to a credit card transaction. Another joy! When the waitress took the note, she said, "Thank you," and that was that. I decided against calling after her to request change since it was one of those borderline instances where the note was close enough to twenty percent that it is a bit awkward to request someone return with change. So she walked off with a 26% or so tip after having left us on the dining equivalent of "read" the entire night. And then there's the issue of price: While not outrageous, everything is 15-20% more expensive than it should be, and after one pauses to think about it, the tasting menu offers barely any deal at all. If one orders the chicken like I did, it is no cheaper than ordering the starter, entrée, and dessert à la carte. If Rosemary had also offered, say, a soup, then it would be a deal. But clearly generosity is not in its owner's purview. The tiramisu, I will say, was excellent, and my friend and I enjoyed every morsel, and for that reason, along with the Caesar salad, I can muster three stars. Had I not walked through the door having heard so many people rave about Rosemary, perhaps I would have found it to be a restaurant with a pleasant ambiance, a good appetizer, and fine dessert despite a thoroughly middling entrée. But a Delco gem it is not.

Admittedly, when we used to go, it was during a time we could only really sit outside and enjoy our bevs, or take them to go, and NOW we get to bask in the warm lighting, the INCREDIBLE soundtrack, and the perfect energy of the staff, so I think it's about time to re-review. Four Humours is the place I'd take a date (in fact, I did bring my husband last night), a girlfriend, a group getting ready to hit the town, OR for a night cap. it's so versatile - it can be whatever you need it to be. Like the Room of Requirement, only boozier. The crew gets SO creative with their cocktails - we've sipped on ones featuring pho-infused agave, chicken schmaltz-washed bourbon, carrot and pineapple foam, pandan - and they're always switching it up seasonally and I can not WAIT to find out what's coming this fall. Cocktails range from $15-20, pretty similar to most of the neighborhood, but they are STRONG. I started buzzing after 2 the last time I went. I love this for the jump-off to a night out or, as a mother of 3 who's hustling home for the babysitter, a one-stop shop. Added bonus: you can order food delivered to the bar! Pro-tip, if you get pizza share with the bartenders. If you order South Sichuan you just might melt from the SPICE level. No matter what you're doing with the night, you're gonna have a great time AND a few great bevs!
