The food was delicious as well as the cappuccino! The service was great until it was time for the check (they forgot about me...at least that's what I think). The ambiance/restaurant is quite small. I'd probably go back...and sit where they can actually see me. LOL.

I recently stopped in here for cheesecake and a cake slice to go and the place was booming with business! Always a great sign to not only see the community supporting the small businesses, but to even see the owner there. I heard him introduce himself to a table behind me and I was impressed because he was doing all the things the other workers were doing. He was taking orders, running food and just overall making sure things were being handled. There was another young man in front of me for counter orders and yes he and I both had to wait, but I was happy too. Everyone was moving and trying to take care of their guests and I was not in a rush. Now for the actual things I ordered: the lemon blueberry cheesecake delicious, and I enjoyed the German Chocolate Cake. I ordered both by the slice and I paid about $10 for each. They have a fantastic instagram where you can see the featured cheesecakes and the what his specials will be. I think this place was cozy and I liked seeing the sidewalk patio seating too. Parking is not provided but there is a parking deck directly across the street.

This was place was recommended from another APp. We were in the area and I wanted to taste their cheesecake. I assumed it would be ok. No , this cheesecake was amazing. So soft and flavorful. I don't like plain cheesecake but their NYC style cheesecake was that good. It didn't need a topping. Service was quick because parking is an issue here. We came back to order 2 cakes for a dinner party. You can order from a large selection of flavors. We have had the Oreo, the cookie butter and the apple crisp. The apple crisp has fresh apples inside. It is so good.

Anthony's cheesecake restaurant is your quintessential family restaurant. The owner Anthony is always available to answer all of your questions and is one of the warmest people you can never meet. As for the food, everything is delicious! And the desserts are to die for. This establishment is always spotless and the wait staff are always friendly and willing to help you. I definitely recommend this lovely establishment. Enjoy!

I really love this place -family here to celebrate Mother's Day 2025 the service is always very special and friendly. The crowd was in a celebratory and friendly spirit and the food as always was excellent. We enjoyed the experience.

Went in for brunch this morning. Food was delicious. They didn't have the full brunch menu so needed to have some backup options but both of our dishes were fantastic. We'll definitely be back. We were there right after the restaurant opened so service was a bit slow but the atmosphere was nice.

Excellent per ush! Samich was crispy crunchy gooey & lovely. Pancakes had the perfect ratio of goat Chs to fence cake to fresh figs. Yum!

I honestly don't know about the hype. Simple cheesecakes, very expensive, not a great location. The food itself looked really good, but i didn't buy anymore. My mother liked her lemon bar the best.

Parking is either street parking or in the garage across the street. I recommend using the parking garage as it is less stressful. On the weekends I recommend making a reservation as it becomes rather chaotic and they have limited seating. First off my boyfriend made a reservation for 12:30pm. We stood for maybe 10 minutes in the entrance as there is no hostess stand and they appear to be greatly understaffed. Once we were seated it was about another 15 minutes before anyone came to the table to tell us specials and drinks as the menu situation is scan and it goes directly to their brunch specials. A party of four came down and sat next to us maybe 10 minutes after ordered and received their food before us which was extremely frustrating. My boyfriend ordered the short rib steak skillet and was disappointed as the meat tasted as if it was just boiled and missing basic seasoning. Otherwise it would've been great. I ordered the Apple fritter French toast, which the apple fritters were definitely soaking a bit too long in the egg as they were on the mushy side, it would've been perfect if it was a bit crunchier perhaps toast or broil for a finished crunch. The owner Anthony took our orders and it was very chaotic and lots of long wait times that could've been organized better. The location has a great review but my experience did not reflect that. Maybe it was a bad day as it was a weekend but a well know brunch spot could definitely do better. Unfortunately I don't think it would be work the drive to give it another try.

Great place, great food, wonderful food. Service was friendly, courteous and accommodating! The owner came and greeted us while we waited for our food.

Food was amazing! I got the beef brisket burnt ends tater tots and they were absolutely delicious -- 10/10! Perfect flavor and portion size. I'll definitely be coming back.

I've known about Anthony's for years but for some reason I never had the opportunity to check it out. I'm so glad i did this past thursday. First of all Anthony is very friendly and laidback. He's very sociable and makes you feel right at home. The servers were nice as well. They have these cool menus that allow you to open your phone and the link to the website opens up which is very different from the QR code or paper menu most restaurants have. For my meal, I had the classic cheeseburger and it was delicious. They make it with short rib and brisket and it comes with 2 patties. It took a while before we got them but to be honest it worth the wait. It was amazing. The fries were okay, nothing special. The cheesecake was the star of my meal. I thought the caramel might be overwhelming when i saw it but it was perfect. It's a small space so if you plan on having a large group, it would be best to book that in advance. The drinks are simple coffee, teas and lemonade but it is byob. There is only street parking and garage parking nearby so keep that in mind. They are also only open from thursday to sunday. Anthony recommended coming back for brunch so I'm excited to come back.

A friend suggested that I try this place. I've read many great reviews and heard awesome things about this restaurant. So, I decided to give it a try. The decor is simple, yet inviting. I opted for the chicken and waffles, something I've never tried. I was pleasantly surprised. Anthony personally took the time to explain how the boneless chicken breast is prepared and the seasoning was definitely on point! My friend had the blueberry pancakes and he even brought over some lemon curd for her to try. Everything was fresh, the food temperatures were great and I will definitely be back for the Black Out cake! I love it when I can meet the owner and he was definitely personable. Thanks Anthony!

The staff is fantastic, friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, but the real star is the food. To start, we shared the Buttermilk Biscuit, Duck Fat Tater Tots, and the Beet & Citrus Salad. That salad... I'm still dreaming about it. The biscuit was equally delicious and will definitely be my go to from now on. The tater tots, while okay, lacked a bit of flavor. It did pair as well with the salad, but lone was lacking something. For the entree, I had the Breakfast Sandwich and also got a taste of the Brunch Tostada. Both were incredible, but the sandwich stole the show for me. The biscuit is absolutely top tier, and the chorizo sausage patty was perfectly spiced not too hot, just the right kick and paired beautifully with the rest of the sandwich. And the lattes? Simply amazing. Honestly, I'm in love with this place and can't wait to go back. The Saint Clair has officially converted me into a brunch fan and already have the date to go back.

Review: Café Faubourg - Montclair…read more Café Faubourg is one of Montclair's true gems--an authentic French bistro that feels as if it were lifted straight from a quiet Parisian street and placed right in the heart of town. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance sets the tone: warm lighting, intimate tables, and that unmistakable bistro charm that makes every meal feel like a small escape. The food is consistently excellent, starting with their hummus, which is surprisingly standout for a French spot. Smooth, flavorful, and beautifully plated, it's the perfect way to begin the meal and pairs wonderfully with their fresh bread. The steak frites is a must-order and easily one of the best in the area. The steak is tender and cooked exactly to preference, richly seasoned without being heavy, and served alongside crisp, golden fries that are everything you want in a classic bistro dish. It's simple, authentic, and prepared with the kind of care that elevates a traditional favorite into something memorable. Service at Café Faubourg is warm and attentive without being intrusive, contributing to the relaxed elegance of the experience. Whether you're dropping in for a casual dinner or celebrating a special occasion, the staff makes you feel welcome and unrushed. The inside has both a main dining hall and a greenhouse, which feels like basically sitting on a covered patio with well kept shrubbery and ambient lighting. It's a neat balance of modern and open while still feeling cozy. I think my favorite dish is the ramp fava bean toast -- the umami from the purée balanced with the crunch of the toast and the brightness from the pickled ramps. I'd also recommend the steak two ways -- both cuts cooked perfectly to medium rare -- and the lobster linguine was delicately fragrant, buttery, and slightly acidic all at once. The chips and eggplant dip (kind of like hummus consistency) was kind of a fun, shareable starter too. I will say that I wasn't impressed with the ceviche or branzino our waiter recommended it. The branzino particularly came out a bit dry, and more of the tomato-olive-caper side or dressing would've helped. And while our waiter answered our questions, service felt a little more on the less attentive side.

This one pound mozzarella stick definitely fulfilled that criteria. It was so gigantic it was almost like getting a workout in just to lift it. The outside was heavily breaded with bread crumbs and the top was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chopped scallions. Even the dipping cup was supersized to accommodate the diameter of the stick! Typically, I would have posted until after my I finished my oversized food compilation project. However, it's being posted early because The Brookdale is permanently closing its doors. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it.
