The actual doughnut base for all of these were ideal and had a nice balance with the toppings and fillings. Tres Leches - This was dipped in a vanilla bean glaze and soaked in triple milk cream with whipped cream and a cherry. This was tasty. I could not really tell it was three milks, but it was very moist and the cream was fulfilling. Lemon Raspberry Jam - This was a brioche doughnut with raspberry jam and was coated with a tart lemon glaze. This was solid. There was a ton of raspberry jam, and it was flavorful. I actually wanted more from the lemon glaze. The raspberry overpowered it just a little bit. Strawberry Shortcake - This tasted exactly like the frozen treat. I liked the crumbles on top, and it brought me back to eating the frozen treats back in the day. Chocolate Peanut Butter - This was my favorite one. There was a ton of peanut butter filling. It was not like most peanut butter filled doughnuts I had. I could not tell exactly what it was, but it was very good. The chocolate icing just nicely paired with that filling.

You know it's a real deal Italian bakery when they don't fill the cannolis until you order them! Prices are reasonable for what you get. We're still slowly working our way through local spots, and Brick + Dough was highly recommended to us. We started with garlic knots, bread, and fries, and honestly... 10/10 across the board. Everything was SO good. The fries especially are still living rent free in my head. We then split three pizzas, all of which were seriously incredible. The perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust, just absolutely nailed. We ended the night with cookies and ice cream, and I can confidently say this place will be seeing me again very, very soon. The service was nice, especially because even though we were the only table sitting outside, they were consistently coming out to make sure we were doing OK and had everything we needed. We ordered some garlic knots, which were good, it just seemed a little bit pricey to charge for the marinara sauce separately, which was not really outstanding nor something special, so I would recommend you skip it. We also ordered the chicken vodka Parm pie which was very good. The chicken was very crispy and the pizza was still delicious the next day when we had the leftovers. One of her friends is allergic to gluten, so it was very nice that they were able to accommodate for her. I do wanna point out that we have been to many places that offer gluten-free options and this is the first one I've been to that does charge you extra to make a gluten-free. In terms of price, it is very similar to the other places in Montclair but they do provide very good service and the ambience both outside and inside is very nice.

Aside from the meal, I think double checking utensils is so important in kitchen environments (where utensils are put to re-use). Thanks for being patient and understanding with my request to change spoons (the first time, in the photo, due to a food like stain, and the second time due to a dry dishwasher soap/milk like stain). Also, I think, if possible, replacing the fogging/smog-stainful-looking plastic like cups (for free water) with paper-like cups or by way of glass cups and metal-like pitchers may contribute to the eatery's ambience well. I saw the good reviews so I was disappointed when I received my desserts. Most of the cake slices were around $7, but when I asked for a cheesecake or pistachio one, one slice was $13 which I found to be expensive so I did not get that one. My friends and I decided on 3 cakes: strawberry, Oreo, and chocolate. I don't think I will ever be returning - the cakes tasted old. The best way to describe it was a like it came from a chain supermarket - lacking flavor and not up to fresh quality. The only one that was edible was the chocolate slice. We felt so bad to have to throw away the other two cakes, but they were not good at all. It was a waste of money to pay so much for a slice and not eat it.
