Best brunch place around! They have a huge menu, friendly servers, and a great atmosphere. I had a delicious bloody Mary and a smoked salmon Benedict. I've been dying to go back! Today was my first time visiting. It was busy but we expected that for Saturday around 11:30. It took quite a while for our food, but again that was not much of an issue because it was busy. My children enjoyed their dishes. However, I did not enjoy my eggs Benedict. Every time I have had eggs Benedict in the past I cut into the egg and a creamy center flowed. Today both my eggs were overdone to my liking. The center was solid and was more of a hard boiled egg. I ate my food and did not send back. As I said, it took a while to get the food and my kids enjoyed their food so I didn't want to make them wait extra. I am not convinced this was common so I am not giving up and I will return. I've heard good things about this place, so I finally tried it out. Usually there's a wait, so get there early if you don't have the patience. We ordered the beignets as recommended by Yelpers, and we were not disappointed; they were delish! Other than that, everything else was pretty average. I ordered the crab omelette, but it was more like crab on top of a dry egg. They were kind enough to redo it, so kudos for good service, but still an underwhelming omelette, as was my friend's. Maybe stick with the pancake or waffle options if you want to play it safe. read more

Food was fantastic. The only thing I didn't understand was that they allow you to grab a spot in line through the yelp app, but the clock doesn't start until you get there. Terrible experience today. I put my name on the waitlist via the Yelp app. I wrote on the comments that I preferred outdoor because we had a dog. Came and checked in on time. We waited and I finally got a text to be seated. She tried seating us inside and I told her we asked to be seated outside and that were okay waiting for an outside table. 20 minutes go by. Nothing. I wait in line again and finally got to the front. Where people were just walking in and doing whatever at the host stand as there's a line with people patiently waiting. Finally I had to cut someone off that jumped in front of me again to tell them I've been waiting and I got no instructions on what to do next. She said she'd call once a table is ready. We continue to wait and they cleared off a table and SAT ANOTHER PARTY that came AFTER us. I was pretty pissed went back inside and they knew what they did was wrong because they immediately said oh we're just waiting for another table. No apology or anything. That hostess stand is a mess and needs better organization skills and customer service. I shouldn't have to wait over 2 hours when I'm on top of the waiting list because they couldn't get their stuff together. The only saving grace from that place today was the waitress. Yesterday, my dad and I wanted to grab a quick bite for breakfast to eat and after looking at yelp, decided on Another Broken Egg. It wasn't the egg that was broken, rather the food and the service. We decided to sit at the bar due to a short wait time for a table. There were plenty of seats open at the bar, so we were expecting good service. After receiving our menus, along with water and coffee, we took about five minutes to decide on our selection. Our waitress decided it would take us longer, as she ignored us and never made eye contact for about 15 minutes. When she finally asked us if we were ready to order we quickly placed our order and waited. Never once were we asked if we wanted more coffee, and when the food came I was sorely disappointed. I ordered the skinny omelette, and to my dismay it looked more like a scrambled together mixture of oil and eggs in the shape of a half moon. I could only eat the fresh fruit and english muffin that came with the dish. When we questioned how it was made, our server told us it was cooked in butter and the manager told us it was cooked in soybean oil. I'm not sure who told us the truth. Either way, it was inedible. They were kind enough to take it off of our bill, but both the waitress and the manager were rushed when speaking to me, and the manager never apologized (the waitress did). Unfortunately there are probably other locations of Another Broken Egg where we would have had a more positive experience, but due to this experience at the North Hills location, we won't be going to this restaurant again. read more

There use to be a time when I lived in Raleigh and my friends and I would all talk about meeting for brunch well that brunch idea would always turn into lunch because the truth is we had very few choice when it came to brunch. I'm so excited that Another Broken Egg Cafe has come to our area. Yes it's a chain, and yes I've had the opportunity to host a really awesome event with these folks and try a few dishes, but I recently came on my own and was still really impressed. Why 5 stars? My dish was perfect, this was the first time I think ever that I didn't ask for hot sauce with my eggs. The food these folks put out is so good and the dishes are huge. This North Hills location is their newest location in the Triangle they also have a restaurant in Morrisville, and Durham. The menu is a wide variety of breakfast foods, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. I was really in the mood for breakfast which is just another reason I love this restaurant it's 1pm during the week and I can have any type of breakfast food I want. I was originally going to go for a salad since I knew I loved their chopped salad but the eggs benedict were just calling my name. I have recently been on a big veggie kick and you will find plenty to order here. I decided to order the black bean cakes eggs benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce. They make these black bean cakes in house and they are as big as a burger, in fact this is the same patty they use for the black bean burger I got two of them with my order which you can only imagine how much food that is. On top of that it comes with crispy potatoes I decided I didn't need the carbs and ordered grilled tomatoes instead. I obviously couldn't finish my meal as much as I wanted to because it tasted so good. They really know how to poach an egg right too I was really impressed. Did I mention they have a full bar and make their own peppered infused vodka for Bloody Mary's? I'm really glad I decided to come in on my own and really experience Another Broken Egg Cafe. Whether you want brunch or lunch you will really enjoy the food. There was another lady dining alone at the bar who ordered a turkey sandwich and could not stop raving about how good it was. My server was attentive and took care of me as well. Went here for breakfast on Friday morning. I ordered an omelette. Besides it taking a long time to finally get our food, my omelette was dry and over cooked. I would have returned it but we had someplace to go and my girlfriend had her meal and we didn't want to eat alone. Since we were staying in the adjacent hotel we decided to try it again (but I wasn't going to order an omelette). It was a little busier but we got seated in about 10 minutes. I ordered eggs over easy with sausage and potatoes. It took much longer today to get our food and my eggs were barely warm, sausage patties cold and burnt. Only thing that was warm were the potatoes. My girlfriend had to send back her potatoes because they were not done right. It took over 40 minutes from when we were seated to get our food. Looks like we were 0-2 and won't ever go back. The Hunger Games. Where to begin. Our party of three called an hour in advance for a table on New Year's Day. We waited probably no more than 5 min upon arrival for another to leave and for it to be "bused" -- a term I use lightly considering I was still sitting in the crumbs of someone else's breakfast (in particular the floor was crunchy). The lobby area, if you can call it that, was a sardine can of guests-- each either brooding over their hour+ wait, or searching for a host or manager to finally acknowledge them. Except there was no host. There was only a floor manager who was drowning between running the door, busing, expo-ing, etc. etc. who only showed up when the phone rang. Rather than being greeted by a staff member, we and many guests were welcomed by the hungry eyes of restless patrons. We are escorted to our table, where we dust off crumbs & haphazardly are handed menus. Our server seemed very relaxed & comfortable chewing her gum despite the chaos ensuing. We were greeted with a smile, & she seemed pleasant enough during the 4 times we interacted throughout the entire meal. We did, however, see her chatting w/ coworkers and making sure her patrons who were boozing were well poured. Regardless, non-alcoholic drinks came quick enough. Refills however, were nonexistent. Despite seeing our server and others walk past us multiple times with coffee pots, it took -literally- 16 min (I counted) to get a refill. ONLY when I stopped the BUSSER who seemed like the only accessible staff member at the time, did my friend get her cup refilled. One friend said, and I quote "This shit is the Hunger Games". Eventually, our server returned and we placed appetizer orders. Ticket times were running from 30-45 min; our Brie + Fruit and Giant Cinnamon Roll toward the end of that. The Brie was served warm, smothered with raisins, apples, and pecans in a Grand Marnier butter sauce along a generous portion of toasted French bread, and while my friend said it was good, it was also relatively unremarkable beyond the butter sauce. The Roll was delicious, and definitely giant. I got halfway through before realizing it was made w/ something I'm slightly allergic to - I couldn't place my finger on it - so I offered it to my friends. Regardless, what I did have of it I enjoyed, not that our server bothered to ask. While enjoying the first food to touch our lips since we hit the door an hour ago, I couldn't help but observe. The table behind us was not happy with what they were getting themselves into. I saw a two-top of women looking around and being equally as amazed at the carnage. Our AWOL server was barely juggling a bunch of other tables, including a 9-top of drinkers who were clearly getting the majority of her attention. The manager who sat us was still drowning in the sea of hangry guests at the door. The poor busser from earlier was bored; the ticket times were running so long no one was leaving. Then, it happened. Another server, a beautiful African-American lady with long, put-up braids walked out of the back chewing a MOUTHFUL of god knows what probably off of god knows who's plate; barely finishing engulfing it before taking her party's order. Not a simple crumb on her lips or anything as remotely seemingly innocent as that - mouth FULL, sauntering across the dining room, in plain view. My jaw dropped. Finally we placed our entrees. I cut my losses and got Blackberry Grits; they sounded interesting, and by this point I wanted something inexpensive ASAP so I could leave ASAP to eat elsewhere. One friend ordered Biscuits and Gravy, another the Salmon Benedict. Understanding the dire straits we were in, the Benedict decided on a screwdriver. It took about 7-8 min for it, and of course the pour was light. Entrees took another 30-45 min. The Grits were nothing more than standard grits with a bland blackberry compote on top. Which is fine considering the price point and the fact they don't embellish it on the menu, but I figured it would at least have some brown sugar or vanilla - something to actually marry the grits to the tart compote. The Benedict my friend claimed was good, but she could tell it had been sitting for a little while, which is sad as it's the only plate cooked to order on the ticke. The Biscuits and Gravy were also just good, but not stand out. Both friends had the "City Grits" as their side, which came with cheese, scallions, and bacon; each saying they were good even if lukewarm, but needed more seasoning. The plates there were served on were cute and fit with the decor of the establishment. Immediately upon seeing our server we asked for checks. After cashing out and grabbing boxes, our server apologized for things being "a little crazy". We just kinda smiled and nodded before evacuating. Average food cannot redeem horrible service, and I doubt I'll ever eat here again. read more

This place is so cute and has a warm country kitchen feel. It's located in the beautiful North Hills Mall area in Raleigh. The staff were so sweet and hospitable and we didn't have to wait long to be seated or for our food to arrive. Complimentary beignets are served while you're waiting for your order. I had the crescent city scramble that comes with an English muffin and grits....and you can add a pancake of choice for $2.99 so I chose the peach cobbler pancake which was so fluffy. Was driving by Raleigh, when my wofe was looking for a brunch spot. I have to say that the atmosphere at the Another abroken eggs cafe is pleasant, everyone is all smiles and place is immaculate. I ordered the black bean benedict, i have to say it was very tasty and far exceeded my expectations. The real show stealer was my wifes dish... the Shrimp and Grits, all i have to say is WOW.. the grits were perfectly cooked and the shrimp was of the highest quality. A little on the spicy side but nevertheless, this dish is the show stopper! A must try! Overall i must say the place is very good and a must try if you are in the area. Decided to take my grandma here one morning while she was visiting. The food was so dissapointing. I ordered an omelet and grits and the omelet was just dry and tasteless. I also had breakfast potatoes with it and they were burnt and didn't taste good at all. I typically love grits, but I wasn't impressed with these either. I think i've had better grits at Waffle House. I have three stars because the facility itself was nice, parking was a struggle and the waitress tried. The worst part of eating here was the unfriendly staff. When checking in, the two hostesses were so unfriendly and were obviously hoping we wouldn't put our name on the list. It took a long time for anyone to come to our table but once he did, he was great and friendly- Colbey was our waiter. Great staff! Huge crowds and really long wait but Felicity, the host, did a great job at keeping her composure when having to let customers know the situation and was very kind when seating them. Ashely, the waitress, really took care of us during our visit. She offered great suggestions and when the wrong plate was provided to us, she made sure to make it right in a timely manner and compensated us by removing the beignets from our bill. Hayden offered great suggestions on things to do in the area since we weren't from around and overall, it's the staff that would make us come back. I have heard alot people rave about this place and I have to be honest the food was sub-par at best. The supreme omelet was overcooked and flavorless. The grits were luke warm and very dry. I visited this establishment several times before and today I must say the service was subpar. Myself and my friend ordered the shrimp and grits without any sausage and made sure we emphasized no sausage as we don't eat meat however when some other gentleman brought both our meals they had sausage in both. The other two people in our party received their food with no issues. We attempted on several occasions to get our waiters attention to no avail. We were finally able to get a manager to stop and explained to her what happened. She stated that she would take care of the problem. About ten minutes later our server finally stopped to see if I needed more coffee and I said no but it would be nice to have some thing to eat. After about an additional 30 minutes of waiting we finally received our food. After waiting more than an hour to receive our food only half the table's orders arrived. We were told the kitchen splits orders and had to wait another 20 minutes for the rest of the tables order.
