Just left from the location in North Hills for my moms birthday. ABSOLUTELY marvelous! From the moment we walked in greeted and seated promptly... great service all around. however our waiter Daniel G. Was overwhelming outstanding! he was the cherry on top! Will definitely be back and recommend this location to any and everyone! ask for Daniel read more

I love the food here! It's never let me down. The wait times speak for themselves, although they are very annoying. The food is worth the wait tho. The staff has always been knowledgeable and great. I love coming here for breakfast or brick with friends, or my significant other. I would not recommend for large groups. read more

The wait was only 20mins on a busy Sunday brunch time, our waitress was awesome with good suggestions on the menu and both plates my boyfriend and I ordered were amazing. We like seafood so we got the lobster omelette and shrimp and grits. We got our food quickly and were checked on frequently. Also there coffee was very good and the mimosas had different flavors that were also good. Highly recommended read more

I have enjoyed many meals at Another Broken Egg but every time we come to give the one at North hills another chance we end up very sorry. Repeatedly the waitress kept bringing the wrong drinks.. Took forever to get the orders and when we finally did they were all wrong. This has happened six times out of the seven times we have come here. The one in Cary has always been great with service and food is delicious. The star is for north hills read more

Delicious breakfast food! Really delicious. I had the sweet potato pancakes with eggs and potatoes.... oh my gosh, it was like the holidays in each bite (sweet potato pancake had orange zest, pecans, and some sort of cinnamon maple glaze on top). They ACTUALLY cook the eggs like you request, and the potatoes were pretty tasty also. The only but I have is that it took forever for our food to come out- probably 20-25 minutes, and the restaurant was not very busy. I mentioned this to our server, who agreed and spoke with the manager. The manager on duty was very apologetic and handled the situation very well. We will certainly go back and give it another try with the gift card she gave us. read more

I was in the area to attend the wine festival for the weekend. The next morning I decided to eat brunch at this restaurant as it is one of a few breakfast spots in the area. The wait time was ridiculous. It was very busy on Sunday morning. So we decided to get brunch to go. It took approximately 15 to 20 minutes for us to get our order. The food was OK at best. I ordered the sunrise scramble with a side of French toast. I checked in with yelp and I receive a free gourmet muffin. They did not have anymore muffins so they replaced it with some powdered covered fried donut balls. These donuts were good. They had a crunchy outside and fluffy donut interior. It came with a Orange marmalade jam to dip the donuts. Now to the rest of the meal. The eggs were dry and chewy. They were not very good and I doubt I would have them again. The French toast was plain. It takes like a Texas toast dipped in cinnamon. I only ate 2 to 3 bites of my French toast. Maybe it was due to us getting our order to go. The meal was Blah. The staff was very friendly and this gave them an extra star. I do not recommend going on Sunday unless there's somehow you could do a reservation. Not what I expected. I would not eat here again on my next visit. I could have eaten in the hotel or skipped here all together. read more

Over 1 hour wait to be seated after being told 35-45 minutes and checking the status,. Waited OVER an hour for our food to arrive after ordering and had to ask every time to have drinks refilled. Food was good but not great. Service poor and unattentive. Seemed to be very unorganized through the entire process. read more

This is a nice spot for breakfast. They have a good selection. I would consider it an upscale Denny's in North Hills. The location is not in a place where parking is easy but it is perfect for those that live in the surrounding residential area or walking distance. The two servers I had were friendly and accommodating. I had the turkey sausage that was ok but luke warm compared to my hash browns and hard boiled eggs. You get a gourmet muffin or Beignets with orange marmalade which is really good if you check in on Yelp. Not all places carry stevia but they do at this location. Its not my cup of tea (literally) but If you're up for drinking at 9 am- this is the spot. read more

Ordered To-Go at this North Hills location 3 days in a row. First day everything was okay besides the very rude heavy set front end hostess. Second day the problems start to come... Firstly I'll note we didn't leave a tip intentionally the second day because of how rude the front end hostess had been when I had picked up on day one. Ok so time comes I go and pick up my To-Go order. Walk in not really much of a greeting yet again, she hates her job, seats a couple and cleans a table off outside on the patio before even really acknowledging me. Mind you there's two To-Go orders placed on a table directly behind where I walked in the door. I didn't really pay any mind thinking I was early it's probably not done yet. I wait for 10 minutes while the front end staff played on their phones and chit chatted with each other then I'm told to go to the bar and ask them about my to-go order they check and it's been sitting in the front the whole time. Not only was my food cold at this point add insult to injury it was burnt!!! Ok brushed it off figured they were having an off day. Around rolls the third day and final order, they managed to do the same thing to me as they did the second day except this time my food sat and got cold behind the bar. Then I ask to speak to management and requested a refund. Come to find out since i paid online I won't get a refund for 3 business days. This place is a joke and to believe I tipped them the third time and didn't even eat the garbage! We traveled an extra 15 minutes to the Morrisville location, it was a whole lot more organized and they were a lot more polite. Don't waste your time or money at this place! read more

SLOW service. DRY, overrcooked food. I'm not sure if my omelette and my wife's scrambler sat for 10 minutes in the kitchen or everything is just overrcooked. I gave this place one more try after my last dry omelette. Very disappointing. Won't be back. read more

I'm a tad bit disappointed in level of service. I call in order @ 7:57AM was told 10mins, food didn't come out until 8:19am and was WRONG! When I ask for MGR she is a tad bit rude...stating well that's what the ticket say...well maybe the lady who took my order got it wrong. She turns around and rudely say I'm refunding you. NEVER GOT A SORRY OR CAN I MAKE IT RIGHT. Really sucks to get that level of service when the food is really good. read more

Came to get brunch, the hostess says there's 2 hr wait. They have 8 empty tables outside and and countless inside. Sitting there looking for other places to eat, no one came to sit at those tables for at least 30 mins that I was sitting in my car. If this is the service this restaurants provides, sorry there other places I can go to. read more

We stumbled upon this little breakfast place looking for brunch, drinks, and a place to watch football. We came in around 1:30, which was rather close to closing time, which we didn't know. We were seated at the bar, and there were multiple tvs with football playing. The bartenders were super friendly and made great recommendations--city grits (Gouda, bacon, chives, and red pepper on grits) and the beignets (with orange marmalade ... to die for). Coffee was hot, food came out quickly. They even accommodated an order for the waffle sandwich we saw on Yelp but was no longer on the menu! Great service and nice folks. Definitely worth a visit:) read more

Normally have a wonderful time. When my first server came it was someone who I use to work with her name is Jamie but likes to be called Nico. After she noticed it was me she proceeded to go to the host stand and I'm assuming ask someone else take care of me. A whole new server came out and used the excuse "we just did cuts" so she'd be taking care of us instead. Meanwhile Jamie is taking care of other tables and not cut at all. I don't have an issue with that it was the fact they they felt the need to lie and then the new server only came to check on us maybe twice the whole visit and the second time was because we had to find someone to get us a Togo box. The customer service wasn't acceptable at all regardless of past co workers. read more

Good place. Very friendly staff. Food is what you expect at a broken egg so no surprises. Nice little atmosphere to sit outside so all in all no complaints. It's a little pricey which is my only real criticism. read more

Good food. TERRIBLE SERVICE once we got to table. Server didn't even know that they carried a certain menu item.

One of our favorite places for brunch. The coffee is delicious, the fresh coconut dishes are amazing. Gf options available!

I had high hopes as it was my first time being here. As I sit here I must say that I am disappointed in the service my group received at this location. I had a party of 10 so upon arrival we had to wait for a table which is expected and understandable. After being seated our waitress was very nice and eventually took our drink/food orders. More than half of my party ordered the " Fried Chicken Benedict ". However, we were not told by our waitress that they did not have the tomato sauce that was to be on top on the dish so they substituted it with sausage gravy without notifying us. On top of that disappointment all of our eggs were overcooked & hard-boiled. One person within my party ordered the "Eggs Blackstone Benedict " without green onions , but received green onions. Lastly, one person ordered the Tomatillo Bloody Mary but definitely received the "Effen Cucumber Mary". After notifying the waitress of the mix-up , she went to confirm with the bartender who stated that it was indeed the Tomatillo. It was cucumber (which can be referred to in the photos). The french toast was dry, the grits were unseasoned , and the waitress acted like she was doing us a favor by charging us for a chicken sausage sandwich as if that's not exactly what we received instead anyway. I wasn't impressed and I am not sure if I will come back to this location. read more

All of the food at this cafe is amazing! While there is normally a wait, it is definitely worth it. I got the Hey Lucy! I would suggest going earlier in the day to beat the line. I will definitely go again! read more

Yesterday, my dad and I wanted to grab a quick bite for breakfast to eat and after looking at yelp, decided on Another Broken Egg. It wasn't the egg that was broken, rather the food and the service. We decided to sit at the bar due to a short wait time for a table. There were plenty of seats open at the bar, so we were expecting good service. After receiving our menus, along with water and coffee, we took about five minutes to decide on our selection. Our waitress decided it would take us longer, as she ignored us and never made eye contact for about 15 minutes. When she finally asked us if we were ready to order we quickly placed our order and waited. Never once were we asked if we wanted more coffee, and when the food came I was sorely disappointed. I ordered the skinny omelette, and to my dismay it looked more like a scrambled together mixture of oil and eggs in the shape of a half moon. I could only eat the fresh fruit and english muffin that came with the dish. When we questioned how it was made, our server told us it was cooked in butter and the manager told us it was cooked in soybean oil. I'm not sure who told us the truth. Either way, it was inedible. They were kind enough to take it off of our bill, but both the waitress and the manager were rushed when speaking to me, and the manager never apologized (the waitress did). Unfortunately there are probably other locations of Another Broken Egg where we would have had a more positive experience, but due to this experience at the North Hills location, we won't be going to this restaurant again. read more

There use to be a time when I lived in Raleigh and my friends and I would all talk about meeting for brunch well that brunch idea would always turn into lunch because the truth is we had very few choice when it came to brunch. I'm so excited that Another Broken Egg Cafe has come to our area. Yes it's a chain, and yes I've had the opportunity to host a really awesome event with these folks and try a few dishes, but I recently came on my own and was still really impressed. Why 5 stars? My dish was perfect, this was the first time I think ever that I didn't ask for hot sauce with my eggs. The food these folks put out is so good and the dishes are huge. This North Hills location is their newest location in the Triangle they also have a restaurant in Morrisville, and Durham. The menu is a wide variety of breakfast foods, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. I was really in the mood for breakfast which is just another reason I love this restaurant it's 1pm during the week and I can have any type of breakfast food I want. I was originally going to go for a salad since I knew I loved their chopped salad but the eggs benedict were just calling my name. I have recently been on a big veggie kick and you will find plenty to order here. I decided to order the black bean cakes eggs benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce. They make these black bean cakes in house and they are as big as a burger, in fact this is the same patty they use for the black bean burger I got two of them with my order which you can only imagine how much food that is. On top of that it comes with crispy potatoes I decided I didn't need the carbs and ordered grilled tomatoes instead. I obviously couldn't finish my meal as much as I wanted to because it tasted so good. They really know how to poach an egg right too I was really impressed. Did I mention they have a full bar and make their own peppered infused vodka for Bloody Mary's? I'm really glad I decided to come in on my own and really experience Another Broken Egg Cafe. Whether you want brunch or lunch you will really enjoy the food. There was another lady dining alone at the bar who ordered a turkey sandwich and could not stop raving about how good it was. My server was attentive and took care of me as well. I'm really excited to get a group of my girls together here and do a mimosa brunch one of these days and the North Hills location is just perfect for me. read more

Awesome experience all the staff was so welcoming & the food was a pleasant surprise homemade sausage etc. I defiantly recommend trying them for breakfast and the menu for other meals looks awesome! A must try for all! It's worth it read more

The Hunger Games. Where to begin. Our party of three called an hour in advance for a table on New Year's Day. We waited probably no more than 5 min upon arrival for another to leave and for it to be "bused" -- a term I use lightly considering I was still sitting in the crumbs of someone else's breakfast (in particular the floor was crunchy). The lobby area, if you can call it that, was a sardine can of guests-- each either brooding over their hour+ wait, or searching for a host or manager to finally acknowledge them. Except there was no host. There was only a floor manager who was drowning between running the door, busing, expo-ing, etc. etc. who only showed up when the phone rang. Rather than being greeted by a staff member, we and many guests were welcomed by the hungry eyes of restless patrons. We are escorted to our table, where we dust off crumbs & haphazardly are handed menus. Our server seemed very relaxed & comfortable chewing her gum despite the chaos ensuing. We were greeted with a smile, & she seemed pleasant enough during the 4 times we interacted throughout the entire meal. We did, however, see her chatting w/ coworkers and making sure her patrons who were boozing were well poured. Regardless, non-alcoholic drinks came quick enough. Refills however, were nonexistent. Despite seeing our server and others walk past us multiple times with coffee pots, it took -literally- 16 min (I counted) to get a refill. ONLY when I stopped the BUSSER who seemed like the only accessible staff member at the time, did my friend get her cup refilled. One friend said, and I quote "This shit is the Hunger Games". Eventually, our server returned and we placed appetizer orders. Ticket times were running from 30-45 min; our Brie + Fruit and Giant Cinnamon Roll toward the end of that. The Brie was served warm, smothered with raisins, apples, and pecans in a Grand Marnier butter sauce along a generous portion of toasted French bread, and while my friend said it was good, it was also relatively unremarkable beyond the butter sauce. The Roll was delicious, and definitely giant. I got halfway through before realizing it was made w/ something I'm slightly allergic to - I couldn't place my finger on it - so I offered it to my friends. Regardless, what I did have of it I enjoyed, not that our server bothered to ask. While enjoying the first food to touch our lips since we hit the door an hour ago, I couldn't help but observe. The table behind us was not happy with what they were getting themselves into. I saw a two-top of women looking around and being equally as amazed at the carnage. Our AWOL server was barely juggling a bunch of other tables, including a 9-top of drinkers who were clearly getting the majority of her attention. The manager who sat us was still drowning in the sea of hangry guests at the door. The poor busser from earlier was bored; the ticket times were running so long no one was leaving. Then, it happened. Another server, a beautiful African-American lady with long, put-up braids walked out of the back chewing a MOUTHFUL of god knows what probably off of god knows who's plate; barely finishing engulfing it before taking her party's order. Not a simple crumb on her lips or anything as remotely seemingly innocent as that - mouth FULL, sauntering across the dining room, in plain view. My jaw dropped. Finally we placed our entrees. I cut my losses and got Blackberry Grits; they sounded interesting, and by this point I wanted something inexpensive ASAP so I could leave ASAP to eat elsewhere. One friend ordered Biscuits and Gravy, another the Salmon Benedict. Understanding the dire straits we were in, the Benedict decided on a screwdriver. It took about 7-8 min for it, and of course the pour was light. Entrees took another 30-45 min. The Grits were nothing more than standard grits with a bland blackberry compote on top. Which is fine considering the price point and the fact they don't embellish it on the menu, but I figured it would at least have some brown sugar or vanilla - something to actually marry the grits to the tart compote. The Benedict my friend claimed was good, but she could tell it had been sitting for a little while, which is sad as it's the only plate cooked to order on the ticke. The Biscuits and Gravy were also just good, but not stand out. Both friends had the "City Grits" as their side, which came with cheese, scallions, and bacon; each saying they were good even if lukewarm, but needed more seasoning. The plates there were served on were cute and fit with the decor of the establishment. Immediately upon seeing our server we asked for checks. After cashing out and grabbing boxes, our server apologized for things being "a little crazy". We just kinda smiled and nodded before evacuating. Average food cannot redeem horrible service, and I doubt I'll ever eat here again. read more

Great menu and delicious food. I had the egg white omelette and it was fantastic. Service was OK but they left us hanging with a long wait on delivering and cashing out the bill. Most of the menu items will get your 100% of you daily calorie count in one meal, but it is so yummy. read more

We put our name on waitlist and we were told it was a 15-30 minute wait. One hour later we were still waiting for a table. Great brunch destination, me and my friend tried out their raleigh midtown location. I got the omelette with the lobster and brie, it was mouth watering.
