    Special beef noodle
    Lilian N.

The environment and service is okay, but the food is great! I ordered Small Special beef noodle, and the portion is huge....like XLThere's beef ball, rare beef etc. in this dish, so you can have different ingredients!

    Lemon grass chicken

20 bucks for a huge plate of lemon grass chicken. Worth the price. The food is definitely above average in terms of Vietnamese food, not the best, but the portion and price makes it a 5 star in my opinion. Highly recommend the place.

came here out of curiousity. this is actually 2nd time we came here. 1st time: hainan chicken+chicken curry roti. 2nd time: goat curry roti+thai tea. food always hit the spot. expensive but i think it's worthed (flavour wise+not that skimpy on meat) . hainan chicken is the best (close to what my mom make). i tried in different restaurant, something is always off. but this place spots on! goat curry roti, the sauce...!! the sauce !!oooohhh the sauce!! soooo mouth watering!!i can keep licking it. lol. it's thick, flavour has a 'kick' and strong...pair well with the roti. roti is bit thicker. other place has it better. but the highlight of the dish is the curry (not the roti...so to me, i dont care even if the dish comes with rice instead of roti). all places i try, curry here spots on! chicken curry is good too, but i like the goat more. curious with other food they have since the two items are the best we have ever tried. will be back....

This is a review for delivery Trust me, your pho will taste a whole lot better if you take the time to re-heat the broth in a pot and add the noodles to the boiling broth to loosen everything before eating. I learned this the hard way when getting Angus Pho House delivered to my place. Finding everything felt hot, I merely took the broth and added it to the Angus rare beef rice noodle soup ($9.95 for small) and tucked in. The noodles stuck together in a clump and the broth went from hot to lukewarm in no time. This is not how pho should be enjoyed. A nuke in the microwave improved things a bit, yet it still wasn't the same. Since we received such a large portion of noodles (with the small being so big, how can anyone get through a large?), I had enough for another meal the next day. After reheating the soup in a pot and adding the noodles (microwaved first) for a quick swirl, everything was so much more enjoyable. Strangely, Angus Pho puts the rare beef into the hot broth instead of laying it onto the noodles when delivering. What arrives are very well-done pieces of lean meat. In the future, an order of plain pho noodles with a grilled protein seems like a better choice. If you really want shaved beef, I suggest opting for a brisket instead, which has a bit of fat to keep it moist. The soup to noodle ratio is also off, there seems to be more noodles than when you dine in but only 70% of the broth so you can't really drink big spoonful's of the hearty savoury bone broth. Indeed, by the next day, there was only about a cup of soup left, I had to dilute it and add salt to stretch enough for another meal. Not a drop was wasted. Surprisingly, the Vietnamese style spring rolls ($6.95) didn't suffer through the delivery process. They were crispy and delicious, just a tad cooler than the scalding hot rolls you'd find at the restaurant. Angus' moist fluffy filling of yellow beans and pork is so delicious. Unless you're vegetarian or going gluten-free, these are a must add-on. While Angus Pho provides a sizeable bag of bean sprouts and Thai basil, my body was craving vegetables so an order of Chinese greens with oyster sauce ($6.95) was necessary. The menu describes these as being stir-fried but it's actually plain boiled gai lan. Luckily, we also ordered stir-fried Chinese greens with garlic sauce ($11.95) and since these were fairly salty and saucy, we could add the plain gai lan into the dish to calm everything down.

The food here was very delicious and flavorful. Especially the daily specials come in good proportions. Worth the cost in my opinion. The server was kind and our food came relatively quick. Recommended, will come again.

Beef Ball & Flank Brisket (S) for $9.95
    Amabel S.

If you're in North York area, you need to try this Pho spot. I got small beef ball & flank brisket. And large house special (mix of everything). The portion is generous - I mean look at the meat. So good. The broth is also a little bit different than others. More flavorful. The small and large size only differ $1. And I must mention that this place is cheaper than others such as Vietnoms. Compare with the size, I will go here more frequently.

Passed by this many times but first time trying. It's conveniently located but you'll have to try hard to locate nearby street parking or parking lot in a busy area. There's plenty of choices on the menu but decided to try their Spicy Pho Noodles and Malaysian Beef Brisket Curry with Roti. Noodles were looks spicy but wasn't at all. Soup broth could have been hotter as well. Was looking forward to the Malaysian Beef Brisket Curry as this was recommended by a friend however hugely disappointed. The color was nowhere close to the dark and rich one on the menu. The beef was tender but the taste wasn't up to par. Curry was also very watery. Roti was the only plus with that meal. All in all not impressed with this noodle restaurant. Perhaps other menu items may change my mind in the future.

    Thai fish cake
    Amy W.

Today was a lazy Sunday for me.. so I decided to order delivery. I've ordered the Thai fried fish cake, I find it lacking in flavour. I was craving for curry fish balls, the curry was not bad but the curry was a bit thick. The fried tofu was very tasty. Just enough flavour and it was crunchy. I really enjoyed this. I've also ordered the Tom yum noodles, it was okay as the soup lacked the spice. I will definitely come back for the tofu and the iced tea!

Definitely come here for their roti and curry! Love how flaky and flavorful this dish was! Pho was great as well but nothing like WOW it stands out. Staff was friendly and assertive.

Came here because I was craving pho. We shared a large bowl of Angus pho along with their App platter (pictures below). Angus pho was so delicious and they know it. No wonder the store is named "Angus pho". Waitress was super friendly and informative. Great service. Cozy location. Prices are reasonable. Kudos for not using pho puns.

Got the original chicken karaage boneless - I appreciate that it comes with 3 dipping sauces so you can try various flavours and not just stick with 1 flavour like at normal fried chicken restaurants. However, the menu was hard to read. The service wasn't super friendly - I almost felt like they were hoping we didn't dine in so they can focus on take out orders. We were the only 2 people that were waiting for their dine in orders and the food felt like it came out slow. The ambiance was quiet. Lots of empty seats. Perhaps it was the day we went, but even if the restaurant isn't busy the atmosphere wasn't as welcoming. Ie, it felt like I wanted to quickly finish eating and leave asap rather than enjoy my meal with my company. Limited parking spaces, but is free.

Lots of seating is available, including comfortable 4-6 person booths. The only downside is that parking right on Yonge is very limited. The menu has expanded beyond katsu to include pizzas, wings, udon, and tteokbokki. The katsu was excellent with its light, crisp batter, and the special set came with a great variety of sides plus both rice and a small bowl of udon. The pizza and wings were also fantastic--we ordered the half-and-half pizza with the signature shrimbul (highly recommend if you like a little heat) and Korean bulgogi. The wings were flavorful and delicious as well. Service was decent, though we docked half a star because some drinks on the menu weren't available (only 2 out of the 5 beers listed). That said, we still had a great experience overall and will definitely be back!

Just $6.99 for a plate of peanuts! The mains were shared. Deep Fried Spicy Chilly Chicken ($21.99) which consists basically of chicken knuckles with very little meat. The spice was delicious but it includes whole red chili's, which were a little over the top for hotness. Second was the Skewer Platter ($24.99). It was chicken knuckles, beef, pork. Good but lacked any real quantity of protein & was disappointing. Finally the last was the Yang Zhou Fried Rice ($15.99). This was the best of the dishes & the only one we fully finished. Service was good & fast but there was a mild language barrier. The menu itself was only available online so we missed some subtitles of said menu. We were the ONLY customers in the restaurant when we arrived. This is more traditional Korean Food & was definitely NOT to our liking. Mostly it came down to what we thought vs what we got. We ordered the spicy beef, assorted skewers, corn ribs, and finished off with a salted egg tiramisu. The menu seems kind of inconsistent and unfinished from when we went a few weeks back. Even ordering some menu items was a challenge, as it was only in Chinese, and we had to use Google Translate to understand what they were. It definitely did not feel like a full fusion restaurant, but more like a Chinese restaurant with a few items that were a bit more Westernized, like the corn ribs and a couple of dessert options. There was a ceviche option (we didn't order it), but it was really just sashimi cut into chunks, not the delicate, thinly sliced ceviche some might expect. However, the main thing that really drew me in was the salted egg tiramisu! It's a good tiramisu, don't get me wrong. However, I hardly tasted the salted egg component, it very well could have been a regular tiramisu, as the salted egg flavour was really subtle that I was questioning whether there was salted egg in there. We eventually did find the salted egg layer. The assorted skewers and corn ribs were tasty and I would recommend. The Hunan spicy beef had good flavour and also recommended by the waiter but was a bit too intense. Keep in mind, if you don't like coriander or think it tastes like soap, there is a ton stir fried in. It wasn't really to our taste preference in terms of spice level because there were a ton of numbing peppercorns in it, it was like eating a landmine trying to dodge them. We brought it home, and I picked out the zillion peppercorns and stir-fried the beef with some eggplant and a touch of sweetness and it worked so well. The menu left me a bit confused and unsure how I feel about this restaurant overall, as there wasn't one signature dish that made me feel like I had to revisit for it and of course getting burned with the peppercorns wasn't the best either especially when we mention less spicy but we should've specified less numbing (we didn't know it would be numbing though).
