If you like your broth to be on the sweeter than the savoury side, then come here. Not for me though, I like my Pho soup savoury and full of flavour. Ordered the rare beef/tripe and beef tendon noodle soup and it was a letdown in both the quality of ingredients and taste. Noodles were soggy and broth was lacking the aromatic flavour you normally find in other Pho. The Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls tasted off and not fresh. Even though food was not that good, service was great and friendly that's why I didn't give a lower rating.

Bun Bo Hue - looks okay but completely lacked flavour compared to other restaurants I've had it at.

Make sure to check your bill for "miscalculations". The bills here are handwritten and not processed through a machine so "mistakes" can happen. The service was okay, you just have to get their attention if you need anything. The owner was busy watching a show on her phone but they had a server that would attend to the tables. Spring rolls are good but the Bun Bo Hue was disappointing and wasn't as flavourful compared to other places in Chinatown or in Toronto I've had it (and it's my go-to order).

We had the vermicelli with grilled chicken and spring roll and the rare beef pho. We liked both and would order it again. I ordered the medium but would order the large in the future. The service was also good!

Great find in Chinatown. This Vietnamese restaurant offers all your classics: Pho, dry vermicelli, grilled meats with rice. They also offer what looks like more specialty dishes, which I would like to try next time. The staff were friendly and never rushed us. Overall, within this area, this restaurant felt more spacious and they had a good selection of food.

This has to be my favorite place for some authentic pho. The owners are so generous everytime I come. The broth flavor is so delicious and the environment is very clean and welcoming. My go to order is the rare beef pho it is so yummy!

Bun Saigon touts itself as the original Pho joint in Toronto which is very cool! I've had the pho here a few times and it always hits the spot. I usually get the rare beef and did try the seafood soup as well and they were good! Nothing unusual just a solid bowl of pho. I do like that they give you a generous amount of toppings for the soup with nice fresh sprouts. It's always a good thing to have a handful of crunchy fresh white bean sprouts to put on your pho, and I live having enough to do that twice, once at the beginning and again at the half way point. The place is clean and pleasant to eat in and the condiments at the tables are well thought out and complete. Once interesting touch is that they gave me tiny scissors along with the chilli pepper to cut little circles of the red hot peppers to garnish with, that that's a great option rather than trying to chew off a bit of the pepper without overwhelming myself with spice!

Went here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place is well lit and clean. It's different from most pho restaurants downtown is that it has tv's. I had a durian milkshake and grilled porkchops on rice for dinner. The drink was bigger thna I'm used to and the durian flavour was strong/flavourful. The main was big and came with a bowl of broth. I didn't care much for the broth hut it tasted okay, had a scent of sweetness to it. The porkchops were juicy, tender and tasty. They had grilled marks and tasted like it was made to order - plus there wasn't a lot of fat. I would probably go here now for rice instead of pho train

The catfish in claypot, mixed vegetables, and rice with tofu & vegetables are pretty good. Sour soup with shrimps is decent too.

So I've lived around Chinatown for two years now and I'm not sure why I haven't been here since I literally live 2 min away. I always went to Pho Hung or Pho Train but quite honestly. - this place is much better. I ordered the pho beef and chicken. The noodles are tender and soft but still chewy enough - much better than the other pho places. In terms of the meat, I think they give it out more sparingly but that's totally fine because what I really care about is the SOUP. I'm not sure why people leave the soup after eating everything else but the soup is what they make with tender love and care. Hours and hours boiling to create a sweet and savoury soup - a bit more oily than I want but definitely a burst of flavour. All in all, I've been eating pho since I was a kid and this place is great to me. The amount of regular Vietnamese customers they have supports their authentic flavour.

Ordered rare beef & beef brisket pho (#103) and stewed fish pot (#622). I like the pho broth and the medium size is more than enough for me as lunch. The stewed fish pot on the other hand is disappointing. I find it too salty and greasy.

Good pho and service. Ordered the traditional pho ga with famous Vietnamese springrolls. The food was very fresh. They are quite stingy on the chicken in the chicken pho. There was barely any chicken visible. The springrolls was superb fresh and crispy. Just the way I like it. The service was great. Came in an early afternoon and this place was busy and packed. The Decor was great as well. Overall, great experience. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Not great place for Vietnamese, very sparse in the pho. The rolls are not great. I was also charged too much for what I ordered.

I ordered the bun bo hue, pho, and spring rolls. The bun bo hue tasted more like a spicy pho broth, and the pho reminded me of the broth at the Michelin recommended restaurant on Ossington. Overall, the bun bo hue and spring rolls were just okay, nothing special. The pho was good if you're looking for something simple. They also put a large piece of beef tendon in the pho, which I loved! One thing I didn't like was that the owner seemed to be rushing us to order, which felt a bit off putting. I'd come back for the pho and spring rolls, but I'm not sure about the other dishes.

This really is soul food when you're feeling sick. My one quarrel with this place is the extremely small wide of their "large soup bowls" this is just terrible. I wish they would just go back to a regular large bowl of soup. This is the smallest "large" pho soup size I've had just about anywhere I've been. Honestly amazing place, but the portion of the soup really really irks me. Also the fried spring rolls are a must try! Incredible every single time.

The dry noodle dishes under the green column use egg noodles & those under the brown use rice noodles but the toppings & sauce are the same. The most pricey rice noodles are Japanese but otherwise the difference is width. Got the thin egg noodle version in large. It's recommended to add pickled garlic & red vinegar. The soup was pretty tasty with a natural sweetness, 2 springy half fishballs & a large, very fresh shrimp. The sauce was basically oyster sauce but pickled garlic, red vinegar, hoi sin & chili sauce were available to add complexity. The noodles weren't wet but were not dry either. Large was a very big bowl it came with minced pork, thin sliced pork beansprouts & greens. The pickled garlic was good. Also got a shrimp fritter on the side for $2.50. It was big with one tiny shrimp. The juxtaposition was comical but it was cheap. It was not warm but the fritter was crispy & tasty. Unfortunately the shrimp itself was dry & brittle. Service was good, especially for an Asian place.

Right down to the non-white washed clientele. I'd always prefer to dine where the "locals" dine, and being in a multicultural city like Toronto, it's difficult to fine a hidden gem that hasn't been invaded by foreigners (I'm laughing inside because I'm not Viet and am disliking myself for being that invader; however, I can pass for a Viet if I just point to the table I want and the menu item I'd like ). So, please keep this place to yourself as I would hate to line up the next time I come.

Got the dry pho with chicken - personally would prefer a bun (vermicelli) instead. The green onion tofu had a good flavour with the sauce but found it was fried a bit too much, making it crispier than I'd like (it felt more like tofu skin than I could enjoy the tofu itself). I really like the decor at Dzo, it gives off a cyberpunk Vietnam nightlife vibe. Here was I ordered: Bò Tái Chanh (Beef Carpaccio) - $21.95 - Thinly sliced raw beef with coconut leche de tigre, pickled onion, herbs, garlic, peanuts. This was served with a bowl of sesame cracker and prawn crackers - very tasty and a fairly large appetizer you can share with friends. There was definitely more beef than there was crackers but very tasty - 8/10 Pork Belly Claypot - $20.95 - steamed rice served with clay pot of braised pork belly, egg and pickled vegetables.
