Came to Pho OK because of the great reviews on Google with two other friends. The restaurant was busy but we were able to quickly get seats. I ordered a chicken pho, my friend ordered a bowl of pho, and our other friend go the bun bo hue. My pho was not ok because the chicken was overcooked, and the pho broth left a lingering taste in my mouth, and even after we left the restaurant. Our friends bun bo hue also lacked taste. Service was quick, but we left not feeling impressed. The restaurant also offers a bill discount if you write a 5 star review on Google. They do not split bills on weekends. Accessibility: restaurant is on the secon floor, accessible by outdoor stairs. Washroom is in the back of the kitchen.

Note: the restaurant gives 10% off in exchange for 10% off, even though I did not take the deal, but it does mean the high rating could be not well deserved Tried Pho OK in North York recently. The food is decent, but the portion sizes are quite small for the price, which makes it feel a bit expensive. The restaurant itself is small but has a decent ambiance. Service is standard--nothing special but what you'd expect from a typical Vietnamese/Chinese eatery. I had the Bún Bò Huế, and while the flavor was okay, the color looked a bit off, which made me wonder if food coloring was used. Overall, I'd give it 3.5 stars. If you don't mind walking a bit further, Dear Saigon near Yonge and Finch is worth checking out for a better experience and value.

Delicious flavour and really fresh bean sprouts. The raw beef was nice and soft though it took awhile to cook in the bowl. Got a large with extra meat )$5) and wasnt worth it!

Best pho I have had in a couple years! Soooo authentic and big portion for a small. And a short wait!

Shrimp fresh rolls. 2pc $7.00, ouch!

Pho Ok is a convenient spot located right across from my place which makes it convenient for a quick meal. I've been here a couple of times before and I wish I could say that I liked it more than I do. I started with shrimp fresh rolls which were pretty girthy but under whelming. Normally I can get Shrimp and Pork rolls which has a good amount of protein. Here only 1 protein available. I ordered the shrimp and felt it got lost with the other stuffing. Plus for Small (2pc) $7.00 or Large (4pc) $13.00 they are overpriced. Next, I ordered my go to Pho, cooked beef brisket. The broth (pardon for the pun) was ok and I felt like it lacked flavour. It could be that they don't use MSG which could be a good thing, but ill never know. Regardless, I had better Phos at other places. The other time I came with friends, we ordered the Pork Bun. We both felt that the pork had a weird gamey taste, almost like lamb, which was unusual and not very appealing. Parking is a concern if you are driving as it is situated in a weird shaped plaza. I am not sure if there is underground parking but it is definitely no parking above ground unless you are able to park on the streets. Luckily for me I can walk over.

A small place, upstairs of the plaza. Only 7 tables I ordered the main pho special. Two sizes available, medium and large. A modest sized medium, but very tasty! Nice ingredients and the broth is rich. Nonstop people for both dine in and take out!

I checked out PHO OK with my friend and was somewhat disappointed by the food. The restaurant is located on the second floor, with a nondescript grey sign featuring the "OK" hand gesture. Inside, it was well-maintained, though the floor was slightly slippery due to the rainy weather outside, but nothing alarming. The restaurant's setup, with one entire wall made of glass, allowed natural light to come in, making it an inviting place to dine. I tried the large-sized P1 House Special Beef Noodle Soup. The food came in a large white ceramic bowl. It had a good amount of firm rice noodles with all the toppings you could ask for. I noted the more-than-average fat floating on the soup. The soup itself was quite mild, and there wasn't much to comment on about the food itself. It was slightly disappointing to me because the food prices were not cheap. I would not rate this dish as a high-value meal. The servers were generally attentive and helpful. They did not allow separate bills on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, which was inconvenient. The tables and utensils were clean; however, tissues were only available upon request. There was only a single washroom located inside the kitchen, and it was very small and not easily accessible. Overall, I did not fully appreciate my time here. The natural light and overall cleanliness of the restaurant gave me high hopes, but the fatty phở, low value, and inaccessible restroom made it hard for me to recommend PHO OK. I would not come back.

Grilled pork & spring roll vermicelli

After reading such positive reviews for this restuarant, I decided to order a grilled pork & spring roll vermicelli for take-out. Not sure if I was just unlucky, but I found the food mediocre. The pork chop did not have the nice charred to it and I found it lacked the typical Vietnamese flavours. Nonetheless, the spring roll was still warm inside, which suggest it was just fried. I would also suggest using a smaller take-out box (eg. half the size). I was a bit shock when I first opened the box as the layer of vermicelli was spread very thin. I'll probably give the restaurant another try, maybe their pho since winter is coming.

Like the name, Pho OK is just Ok. Not much vietnamese options in the yonge and sheppard area, so we'll take what we can get. Ordered the large pho Tai nam, and the chicken pad thai. Pho is pretty average, nothing special. Pad thai was generous with the chicken, but the noodles were overcooked and soggy/stuck together. Small restaurant so it does fill up pretty fast during busy hours. Discount if you pay cash!

Grilled Chicken Vermicelli with Spring Roll

Pho Ok? More like phoking phontastic! Pho Ok serves many common Vietnamese dishes you can find anywhere else. But what it does is make these typical dishes really really well. Went here for lunch and got: - Beef Stew with Rice Noodle Soup: Generous serving size, beef was tender, broth was really tasty. - Grilled Chicken Vermicelli with Spring Roll: Huuuge portion size, chicken had a good savoury kick to it, spring rolls were crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside, and the vermicelli was done well and not clumpy. - Fried Shrimp Roll: Nice and crispy, with a standard sweet and sour side sauce to tangy things up. - Shrimp Mango Salad: Another big serving, with the sweet mango nicely balanced a sprinkling of fresh shrimp and salty peanuts. If it's not clear by now, Pho Ok serves tasty dishes at really great prices. In addition, the place was nice and clean, and service was pleasant and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Food was excellent and service was accommodating. I had beef rib pho and complimentary warm tea. The sauce to go with the beef rib was quite good. I got the rest of the pho to go, as it was a huge serving. It was a bit of a challenge trying to put the contents of the huge bowl into the takeout containers and I imagine other people have this same issue. Will definitely be back. Next time I'd like to try their banh xeo and com sườn bì chả.

They specialize in meat platters where you can create DIY fresh rolls. The platters come with lettuce, mints, vermicelli, rice paper and house special sauce. They also have pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes as well. Washrooms are located downstairs which are not accessible. They only accept cash (with a 10% cash discount) or debit. I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!

I tried to finish the broth because it was so good. I would have given that first bowl 4 stars! Today was terrible! It just felt like a super water-downed broth that I didn't want to drink. Everything was just boiled and dumped in a water-downed soup base. The least they can do is use broth and dump it in the seafood tomato based soup. This was a 9pm dinner. They had their own family visiting to close up shop at 11. I tried asking them what happened to the broth today but they didn't speak English or just decided not to. It was disappointing for a bowl of $21 + tax noodle that was just pretty bland tonight even though it looked the part.... Sigh 2 stars today but couldn't average it out to 3 because now I remembered the spring rolls from the first visit were soggy Yes they are friendly but don't know if it's a place you should come before 7pm to catch the good broth?

The dry noodle dishes under the green column use egg noodles & those under the brown use rice noodles but the toppings & sauce are the same. The soup was pretty tasty with a natural sweetness, 2 springy half fishballs & a large, very fresh shrimp. The sauce was basically oyster sauce but pickled garlic, red vinegar, hoi sin & chili sauce were available to add complexity. The noodles weren't wet but were not dry either. Large was a very big bowl it came with minced pork, thin sliced pork beansprouts & greens. The pickled garlic was good. Also got a shrimp fritter on the side for $2.50. It was big with one tiny shrimp. The juxtaposition was comical but it was cheap. It was not warm but the fritter was crispy & tasty. Unfortunately the shrimp itself was dry & brittle.
