For all those who went to their holiday popup and left disappointed, this is for you. So many people love this place and I left wondering why. We were seated in the back which is still festive but brighter and less cozy. Like many mentioned, the waitstaff wasn't interested in making the experience memorable and wanted you in and out as fast as possible. The portion size of their $18 olive and pesto appetizer was appalling. Six olives (yes, six!), four slivers of cheese, three artichoke hearts, and a ramekin of delicious pesto. This feels like a tourist trap in a quaint neighborhood. We both got pasta entrees and they were good, but expensive considering no meat was included. The drinks were festive and actually felt like a good pour considering how expensive they are. 2 stars for that. We ended with the crème brûlée which was somehow over cooked and not creamy. I'm sure the owner will be aggressive about this honest review. To be fair, my sister loved the experience but she's hardly traveled and is delighted by mediocre things sometimes. I really wanted to love this place because we just moved to the area and I wanted to have this be our new cozy date night place. It won't be. It's easy to see why this is a crowd pleaser. Other plates were equally well executed, showcasing a kitchen that values both tradition and precision. Be prepared to go home with leftovers. The cocktails were another highlight. Each drink was thoughtfully composed, smooth, and full of flavor without being overly fussy. You can tell there's real skill behind the bar. This place is absolutely worth the hype!!!! I have been dying to come here for years and I finally got the chance to come for a friends birthday. We had a reservation on a Thursday evening and it was quiet and quaint which was great. The valet parking was also super convenient but there is also tons of street parking! We got a great table for the 6 of us in the front of the restaurant and it felt super intimate which was awesome. This place also takes their theming very seriously which really adds to the fun. The biggest problem I have with this place and the reason it will get a 4 is that I found the service to be extremely lack luster and I am not the only one to complain about that.... Our waiter was really nice but extremely forgetful and at times just left us alone for too long when we needed refills, more bread etc. Either way, on to the dishes. The bread service was delicious and the herby butter it comes with is great! You gotta get the calamari to go with the bread because then the most delicious thing to do is DIP YOUR BREAD IN THE CALAMARI SAUCE!!!! omg that was just so delicious!!!!! Came here for dinner in October to check out their Halloween display and we were very impressed. I cannot imagine the time and effort it took to decorate but it was really impressive and a lot of fun. Of course, it's the food and drinks that really matter. To drink, I got their black flame candle, which was a gin drink with absinthe and it packed a punch, but was also very good. If you like spirit forward, in-your-face cocktails, you will love this. For dinner I got the chicken piccata. I normally wouldn't order this as they tend to be very lemony, and while this one was definitely lemon forwards, it was well balanced and very good. It was also more deconstructed than most piccata dishes that I've tried. I really enjoyed it and I don't usually enjoy dishes that are too citrus. They also can do gluten free pasta, and will go a half order of their pasta dishes on the side, so I got their gluten free pasta with vodka sauce and loved it. It was awesome. Unfortunately, they did not have gluten free bread to soak up the rest of the vodka sauce but the world is an imperfect place. Our service was pretty good. Not great but also nothing that would make me take away from the review. Competent. Not stand out, but also nothing wrong. I have no problem highly recommending Amore e Amore but I would say you should come for Halloween or Christmas or whenever they decorate and do seasonal menus because it's awesome. read more

This is a very cute place with floor to ceiling decorations. They offer free valet parking, please make sure to tip, or you find street parking. All the servers were very nice and friendly. This place is crazy expensive for what you get - Olive Garden quality food. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler in our group to celebrate a birthday. Our table was in the far back of the restaurant, which as other reviewers have correctly noted, is brighter and not as "themed" as the front of the restaurant. The high chair came with a melted jolly rancher stuck in the middle of the seat. Perhaps this foreshadowed the remainder of the meal. The service here was incredibly disappointing. We asked our server, Ana C, if the toddler needed to order their own adult entree or if there were kids menus available (the restaurant's policy is that no sharing is allowed). Ana told us that there was not a kids menu, and that they only served beverages in glassware. Given the "under the sea" theming, with whimsical cut outs hanging from the ceiling that a kindergarten teacher would hang on a bulletin board, we were surprised that a kids cup wasn't an option. Oh well. We ordered the toddler a plain lemonade, which ended up being $10 (as seen on the receipt included). We had no idea there was a lemonade mocktail on the menu, but instead of Ana offering this to us, we received a standard (probably Minute Maid) glass of lemonade with a bendy straw for $10. Knowing it would cost that much, we might have been open to it. Instead, we were deceived. It took asking her twice for the lemonade to finally arrive to the table. No refills either. To our surprise, Ana then brought out a kids menu! The kids menu was prix fixed and was $20. Instead, we ordered the toddler a side of fettuccine alfredo, at Ana's suggestion, because that was more affordable. As seen on the receipt, a side of fettuccine alfredo costs $18. The portion size was hardly a salad plate. There was no flavor to be had. This was evident in several entrees. The Miller's Rhapsody was described as having a "lasagne sauce" - there was no meat in the sauce at all. The filet had no seasoning. The highlight of the meal was the bread service. Somehow, that was complimentary. We enjoy supporting local businesses and don't mind paying extra for quality food, service and ambiance. This place was a disappointment to say the least. Indeed, this place looks great on Instagram. The restaurant's marketing team certainly hit it out of the park there. However, this place has mediocre food, for comically, astronomically high prices. Save yourself some money and go to Olive Garden. Or spend the same amount and go to La Grotta and have a much better meal. At least at Olive Garden, you can enjoy your mediocre microwaved flavorless pasta without feeling like you got scammed. When you're at Amore E Amore, you are NOT family!!! What a wonderful experience! This has truly been one of the better restaurants I have been to in Atlanta and was strongly recommended to anybody! The nondescript storefront would never let you guess that you would be walking into Alice's Wonderland behind the doors. They currently have a circus thing ongoing and right from the entrance you're totally immersed in that experience. The party hats, the party flavor is on the drinks, the menu they all incorporate the circus theme. They had a magician for the night who performed fun tricks. The highlight, however remains the impeccable service and the meal itself. The service was prompt with no delays in an easy flow. All of the servers were amazing! The warm bread with table butter is such a delightful way to start the meal. For our appetizers we ordered fried calamari, meatballs and lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was divine! Would definitely recommend trying it. For dinner we got the Caesar salad, linguine with shrimp, Miller pasta, and steak. Everything was delicious! Their service is absolutely exquisite - our table was bussed so quickly, plates cleared the minute we finished eating. I finally came to one of the most talked about Atlanta Institutions. We came on a Wednesday with a reservation made 2 weeks prior, definitely need your reservation! The decor is definitely special! I was so excited to experience the Christmas season vibes. The food was also absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend the vodka gnocchi more. The filet mignon and lobster bisque are also very yummy. Unfortunately, the service was quite strange. Our waitress kept coming to the table to ask for orders every 2 minutes as we enjoyed the bread and wine and caught up. She would roll her eyes every time we mentioned needing more time. And when we originally said we wanted to skip the appetizers and go to entree, she became visibly annoyed and said, "wow okay" so we felt bad and ordered the bisque. I attended a birthday dinner at the restaurant and while the ambiance was amazing and the decor was on point, I have to say everything else was not the best. The food was "meh" and did not have an authentic Italian taste to it. It was more so bland and did not remind me of my Nona's cooking at all. It could also be that it was a different Italian style. But the Italian dinners I'm used to are very flavorful with large portions, usually enough to share with another person. When it came to the service, I wish I could say it was great. The food took a long time to come and when served it did, it was lukewarm. They did attempt to do a kind gesture and place us in a bigger, more private area but it also happened to be where they kept dishes and other utensils, also the path for employees to go in and out. The room also had a strong smell of mold, like an old wet carpet. Some of the drinks took so long to come, we almost forgot about them lol This is my first experience with an Italian restaurant in Atl and I was dissatisfied but then again NYC and my Nona might have spoiled me. 2/10 would not recommend unless you only care about pictures and a name. read more

If you're tall, you must watch your head but it definitely puts you in the Halloween spirit. When we first came in the door, we weren't sure what to do because there was just a bunch of decorations there and no host stand, but somebody came up fairly quickly and sat us. I loved that they gave everyone a witch hat to wear! The bread and butter that they gave us was delicious as well as all the food. The portion sizes were fairly large. I hate that I'm giving this 4/5 stars because this was my FAVORITE Italian restaurant for the last 2 years. It felt like she was rushing us (which is understandable because it was 9pm and we were seated in the back... but when I walked out to the front it was PACKED) she was super unhelpful and I brought my family there for the first time, after raving about it for hours on end. I was embarrassed. Everyone loved the ambience and food but the service was lacking. We were in and out less than 1.5 hrs (which includes: parking, drink, dinner and dessert) However, I'm always AMAZED by the food and ambience. My favorite part of this restaurant is how they decorate everything to the CORE! Plus the food is phenomenal in my opinion.. they're very good with accommodations as well. Food and ambience is a 10/10. However, the staff needs a lot of extra work because we felt rushed the whole time. We were not even done eating (literally had our food for 15 minutes) and she asked to pack our food & if we wanted dessert. I felt bad so even though we weren't done eating.. we packed it to go and quickly ordered dessert. It's one of my favorite Italian spots within metro ATL, and I usually take all my friends visiting ATL to this place. My favorite dishes are their Eggplant Parmigiana and Vodka Gnocchi. Also I loving come back because they have different themes every few months, and the place is wonderfully decorated to provide you a fun experience. Both meals were excellent. I'm deducting one star because I wasn't impressed with the service, very rushed and unfriendly. We had a reservation (made just and hour or so earlier, on their website) and were seated immediately. The walkway is rather small so we had a few traffic jams in route to our table. Walking thru this restaurant was like walking into Wonderland thru Alice's eyes. There was so much to see and take in! (side note: I could see someone being overstimulated walking thru here but it was a fabulous experience for me!) Upon being seated, we were handed menus, glow bracelets, and party hats! Warm bread and garlic butter was sat on the table and a cafe of water. We ordered quickly and were warmed that the food comes fast. It was lightening fast!! No exaggeration: the food was on the table in less than 10 minutes and it was GOOD!!! I had the Miller's pasta and my husband had the chicken parm. We have no complaints about our food. I expected from the reviews for things to be fun and lively due to the decor and mention of music, but the vibe was pretty quiet (though the decor was still fun with the current butterfly and flower theme for the spring). My wife and I were ready for a night out after the holiday rush. We booked a reservation for January 3. The management and staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Our table was ready when we arrived, and we were soon enjoying a great dining experience. We started with wine for my wife and a Manhattan for me. Both were exceptional. We had the option of the price fixe menu but thought it might be more food than we could handle! Camillo the manager brought us an appetizer plate with cheese and olives and artichokes. The cheese is always great, and the olives were higher quality than one normally gets in stores. We each had a salad. Mine was arugula with burrata cheese; my wife had the house salad. Either was large enough to share. I ordered the veal chop Parmesan, and my wife ordered shrimp scampi. We were given a pasta to share, and my meal came with more pasta. All of this was tasty. Needless to say I had a to-go box for the next day. All the pasta is homemade and delicately made. Likewise the pasta sauces are also flavored exceptionally well - not gloppy and overloaded with oregano! They remind me of what my Italian neighbors used to make. Of course we had desserts - cannoli and cheesecake, and Camillo dropped off a great banana dessert with gelato. Also, I don't want to overlook the decor and general ambiance. Not a great experience overall. Went to the valentines themed dinner, and I was very excited to go here for the first time. The decorations were cute and felt really thoughtful. I love supporting long time family owned businesses and I thought this would be our new go-to spot. Unfortunately I was wrong. The restaurant is quite small and felt cramped. The food and service were subpar based on the price we paid. The prices are absurd. I am all for paying a premium for good food and ambiance but this was not worth it. The gnocchi is $30 and it was very overcooked. Tasted gummy and stuck to our teeth. The Caesar salad was decent, and the chicken limone was alright. The side of pasta with the chicken dish is $14?! It was a tiny bowl and the pasta did not look fresh. It came out to $103 for two entrees, (no alcohol or soft drinks) and a salad without a tip. For whatever reason the manager went to every table but ours to ask how guests were enjoying their meals. I appreciate managers who seek feedback but I found it weird how they did not come up to our table. To the owner: Don't bother leaving a response. We will not be back and will continue visiting the best Italian restaurant in the area: no.246 where we can get more food, better tasting food, and great service for under $100. read more

Entering this quaint resto will transport you to a whimsical little land. They often change the decor and the food is also seasonal. If you're celebrating an event, get ready for a treat! Our meals were delicious!!! Do opt for the lobster ravioli, the sautéed calamari, the homemade meatballs, the lamb osso bucco...you know what, try the entire menu!!! definitely 4 stars! so cute. first it's hard to get ressies during holiday -so glad we got some. super fun decorations and a festive atmosphere. cute for kids. excellent service, attentive and very nice server. the bread came out warm and delicious with yummy butter. we got the heart of palm. it's a unique app, not the best but good. the chicken piccata was yummy. the pasta with pesto was good too! the downside is they don't come with pasta, you have to buy a an extra side. the other downside is that it is a bit expensive as well. the tiramisu is sooo good and so is the lava cake. loved the drinks too. there is complimentary valet. i do recommend this place its fun and good (but pricey). read more

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in ATl. I come annually for my birthday and quarterly for random dinners and holidays. Pasta is made fresh and is delicious. There is quite literally nothing I wouldn't recommend. They change the decor monthly (i think) and it's such a fun and festive vibe. read more
