What caught my attention is that you chose your salad, including all its ingredients. You can choose from small, large, or wrap options. The small is more than enough! I would not have finished the large. I chose grilled chicken and the Chipotle spicy chicken. It was spicy! The other options are salmon, shrimp, crab, etc. The service was good.. I didn't get the guy's name but he seemed new or maybe he was shy. Very soft spoken This salad set me back $15! On May 18,,2026 enjoying my salad, I encountered a hard, inedible object. Upon closer inspection, I realized to my alarm that I was chewing on a piece of plastic shown in attachment. This was not a minor inconvenience; I genuinely mistook it for a piece of lettuce, raising serious questions about the origin and potential prevalence of foreign objects in your food preparation process. The immediate concern for my health, given that plastic is indigestible and potentially harmful, was profound. Following this alarming discovery, I promptly approached the manager on duty, Courtney, to report the issue. I presented him with the piece of plastic found in my meal. To my disappointment, his response was both dismissive and inadequate. He offered an apology before quickly discarding the plastic because customers were there. When I pressed for a more meaningful resolution, inquiring if that was the extent of the action, he then offered a refund for the salad. While I appreciate the offer of a refund, it felt entirely insufficient given the gravity of the situation and the clear neglect shown towards a serious food safety concern. Update: As of June 4th. I still have not received my refund. Spoke to someone in the management team over the metro Atlanta Salata's name Janetra Ellis. She definitely gave me the run around with generic explanations and lack of problem solving this matter. She has not returned my emails after our first conversation for my refund. Tried Salata for the first time and only have one word: WOW! I got a wrap and completely stuffed it. All the options were super healthy and the wrap was very filling. Salata has a ton of options for wraps, fillings, and sauses, plus you can build it exactly how you like. Service was quick and the whole place was bright, clean, and welcoming. Ok based on the reviews you can see that CJ, Shay and Jasmine are Salata super stars. I'm just here to add high praise and join the fan club! I brought my grandmother and father to Salata for a family lunch and we had a list of orders. CJ, Shay and Jasmine were SO patient with us and helped them to make a decision on the best salads for them. They provided samples of the salad dressings and assured my grandmother of the health benefits of the toppings she decided to add to her salad. In terms of the food; it's always fresh and the portion sizes are in my opinion worth the bang for your buck (side eyeing Sweetgreen). The staff is always so kind when I come in on my own but they've solidified me as a customer with the patience and grace they showed my grandmother and dad. Salads are great! Customer service at this location just kind of sucks. Seems like nobody wants to be there. Totally get it but you are getting paid.... Making someone wait in a busy line to get an extra side of dressing is just straight up rude... you have to charge me a dollar no big deal but making someone wait for an extra dressing after paying 40$ for two salads? I recently was told about Salata, and I've found myself eating salads more and more recently so I decided to check it out. If I had to describe Salata in one word it would be Clean. The best way to describe Salata is a gourmet Salad bar, but they also do wraps. The food is so fresh and so...clean. Its just very healthy food, and thankfully that doesn't take away from the taste. They also have every topping option you can think of. Very innovative, very clean, very good. I love the salads here, but the service is awful. I've had some negative experiences but this week was by far the worst. They always seem to have one or maybe two employees at most working. Thursday.........at 11:45am in one of the busiest areas of Atlanta and very little food was cooked and ready to serve.........for protein, choice was either smoked turkey or seafood. Fast casual salad bar... That's a win to me! My experience with this location has definitely been better than the one off of Bill Kennedy way. To go orders on the app can get messy as far as proper preparation and follow through -- although the app is pretty awesome and convenient when the orders come in right. Ordering at the counter here is easy, during Covid the workers always have masks on. The selection of toppings and portions are amazing. I personally love the seafood mix. Lots of great dressing toppings and you even get a whole wheat croissant or pita chips to add to your salad. Even if you eat in store you might think about getting it to go box because the portion is so large that typically it can provide two meals. Love this place love this concept definitely a must for all my healthy friends, and those trying to be healthy LOL You have the option of a small or regular salad or you can make it into a wrap. I believe salads without meats are 7 bucks and then your meat selection which is a whole cup of whatever protein you choose is three or four bucks. After working out at The Forum at Ponce City Market, I was looking for a healthy after work out lunch that wasn't heavy on my tummy or my wallet; Salata came up on my search and I figured "why not!" - it has to be cheaper and most likely healthier than anything I would get at ponce right? This is the first time trying Salata for me! There are apparently 8 locations already in the metro/greater Atlanta area so it must be doing pretty good things to be expanding this quickly! Food: you order your base lettuce, then veggie/cheese toppings, then dressing, then add protein! Sm- $7 Reg- $8 Wrap- $7 Proteins range from $3-$4 The portions for the regular that we got were HUGE! This girl can eat, and I still had to take like a quarter of my salad home (Togo boxes were easily accessible at the drink station so this must be regular occurrence for large portions!) I mixed my base of Arcadia and arugula, picked out my crazy blend of veggie and cheese toppings, picked their herb vinaigrette (which is their house dressing---- protip: they allow samples of their dressings if you're not sure which you want!), and topped it with the final protein of herbed marinated chicken ($3)! Drinks: TEA ON TAP! Y'all, this tea bar was the absolute bee's knees! I sooo want to be excited about Salata! Every city I've lived in has had a similar type of eatery; gourmet make-it-yourself salad bar. & as a vegan I LOVE them! But Salata is just not cutting it for me. Let me start with the positive... The ambiance is great! As other reviews have said... the environment is super clean and bright. I really love the concept and the first time I went to Salata I really enjoyed it! The staff have always been super friendly and their online ordering and food pick-up set up is super efficient. But... there is some room for improvement. First of all, every time I've been in here recently they are short staffed. I get it, it's covid times - but your entire business model requires your staff to make salads in front of the customer and it's not a great image if there's a line of customer and only one employee to make salads and running the cash register. Next... greens. It's the base of the salad! You should never be out of kale, spinach, etc. - you've gotta get that right. Proteins: Your core group of customers is going to be more health conscious, as the entire model is around building custom salads (not burgers). That being said, you are bound to get more than the average number of vegetarians/vegans in the store (probably substantially so...). Again, I get that it's covid times... but removing both vegetarian protein options (Tofu & Falafel) from the menu? Tofu is cheap and widely available. It's ridiculous. On top of that, if we could get maybe just one or two more dairy free dressings outside of balsalmic that would be ~fantastic~. Like I said, I really want to love this place, but you can't drop the ball on your core product if you're operating in a niche category.
