I was so happy to find a vegan spot inside Ponce City Market! It's tucked away into a corner but the place was packed when we popped in. I ordered the nachos and was shocked at the size of them! LaRayia's Bodega is an Afro Latina owned business, in Ponce City Market. When you first step into LaRayia's it smells of incense, which is great! They have a lot of dope shirts, hats and other things you can purchase. I specifically went to try the coffee. I chose the Plantain Latte. I was told by staff that others have said it tasted like chocolate. It was absolutely delicious! It didn't taste like a plantain at all to me and like chocolate. I loved it. I was genuinely surprised and impressed. My friend had a smoothie but she couldn't remember the name of it but didn't care of it due to the kiwi maybe not being blended up enough (kiwi peel). She also customized it so it wasn't ordered as is. Great customer service as well! Overall, 10/10 for me. I enjoyed this place so much I will stop by again the next time I'm in Atlanta. read more

We waited about 30 minutes for acai bowls. But, that's understandable- the kitchen staff is limited and it's a busy space. I love that for the owner(s). Came on a weekend and it seemed pretty busy. I got the midnight matcha and was recommended the cardi smoothie. The matcha was pretty good and was kinda sweet but I think I don't like the oat milk with it. Other than that the matcha tasted pretty good. I'm pretty sure they use ceremonial grade. The smoothie took about 20 minutes to come out. It was not bad. Definitely a little on the sweeter side though. Heads up, this place is a bit tucked away! The server was so helpful, I had been on the hunt at Ponce City Market for a hot chai, and didn't find many good options. They were able to make it hot for me and also satisfy my craving for waffles which is not always easy to find as a vegan. They recommended I get a half size of the waffle since it was just me eating, but I think they must have given me a full size for my trouble since the wait was a bit long because the portion size was insanely huge! I'm so glad I finally drooped in to try LaRayia's. I tried the Tyler Berry, and it was fantastic. The first sip had me hooked. The smoothies are not cheap. I paid $15, which included a tip, but I have to say it was well worth it. The all natural ingredients are what you're paying for. LaRayia's is divided between two shops across from one another one serving smoothies, tea, and Acai plus coffee . The other serves the food options, which is limited, but well worth trying.
